Ostomy Awareness Day was actually yesterday and I had a post planned but my day was basically nonstop and I never got to it. I wasn't going to say anything but then it hit me, this is a post worthy thing! Because of my Ostomy I was able to have such a day. Not just because I feel better than I have in years, or because I no longer have chronic stomach pain or even because it saved my life. Because getting it and everything I went through taught me just how strong I am. But that's not all that makes this so important. It's the fact that this #HiddenDisability doesn't have to hold anyone back. It inspirers me to do as much as possible to spread the word and erase the stigma around having a Ostomy! Im so thankful for mine and the change in my life it gave to me.
