#so glad i eventually learned tagalog bcuz now i can actually understand what my family is saying #(one of the things that held me back was just not being able to find good sources that taught tagalog and were free) #(my biggest motivator was actually my partner saying they were gonna learn tagalog and- #-my brain decided 'this white boy is NOT gonna out-filipino me') #but anyways i dont feel clueless and out of place (as much) anymore #also i can read rlly funny messages in filipino now LMAO #i cant speak it. i definitely still need to practice that. but im glad i can finally understand most of what my family says now

okay. i am going to be taking a break from tumblr. i am tired and increasingly confused and angry. i am looking at things that are bad for my brain, my emotions, and my relationship with my body, and i need to stop. and the only way i see myself doing that is if i leave. i am going to force myself to stay away for at minimum one week but it will probably be more. a week isn't much but i don't think i have the ability to even start this if i make it be a longer time from the get go. i have a huge list of books to read, movies and shows to watch, projects to do, art to draw, languages to learn, and i want to start swimming. i am doing none of those things because i am on my phone on tumblr nearly 24/7 and it needs to change. i realized i needed to do this a while ago, but put it off because i have a bunch of art in my likes that i wanted to post (but i never did because i would like them to post them later but forget and then they'd get buried) but i finally figured out how the queue works so i'm just going to put it in there and call it a day.

hopefully when i come back my brain will be in a better place. if anyone wants my snapchat or discord i will share them :) (tho a minimum of a week isn't very long and i'd give those to mutuals at anytime lol). i will be deleting tumblr off my phone tonight before i go to bed.

#i need to get a library card and a couch and hang up pictures and get a membership to go swimming #and i want to get better at art but i never draw and i want to read more books but i never do and i want to learn spanish and tagalog #but i never practice #on top of all those things i have been having some very weird dysphoria or sensory issues not sure which #and i think my feelings about my gender (and a little bit gender as a whole) are changing and i'm not sure if it's in a good way or bad way #and i literally never get any exercise and i don't play with my cat enough and i feel distant from a lot of my friends #and even at work i don't feel like i'm working just sitting on tumblr on my phone all day #and overall it's just bad and my brain feels gross and i want to fix it and i think this will at least be a start

Bored Ako at wa ko naka practice sa ahong bisaya(?) di ako kaybao og Bisaya jud ni ang mangga solte naho pero okay ra man..

Ng lakaw ko today; sa mall. Pero side note: wa koy kaybao(? Ano ba ang spelling sa kaybao..in my defense wa man ko gi raise sa pinas ok😞. At wa ko gi tudlo sa reading & writing sa Tagalog or Bisaya. Sometimes mg solte ko sa waray & I didnt even know it. Naka inggon ko og Bisaya ra man ng solte ako pero apparently not.)

Anyway..ng adto ko sa mall at ng palit ko og isang libro. Ang title sa libro ay “The Worst-Case Scenario Survival Handbook” inggon og “expert advice for extreme situations”. Kainggon ko that ang libro nito ay para awkward social interactions pero dili man. Ng palit pud ko og sapatos. Ng colour sa sapatos ay asul. (I really hope that means blue 💀) Pero arang ka mahal jud..hapit na $90. Inggon ang ahong nanay na “okay raman kay dili jud kanunay mg palit siga.” Ambut..

Ang Final item na palit naho ay lip balm; ang lipbalm ay “Burt’s bees sweet mandarin” moisturizing lip balm. Gtg
