Finally grown, ain't nothing like I hoped it would be
Out on my own, I'm floating in an oceanless sea
Could I be wrong? Was everybody right about me?
Scary things in my head, I can't dream
It’s DJ Blorbo here with this morning’s show. Recently I heard Mr Nas X came out as bisexual. A huge congratulations to him for his bravery as it never gets easy to come out and I wish him the best in all his endeavours. Here’s one of his songs.
As always if you have any song requests please phone us and leave a message. Enjoy your morning!
Congrats to Don't Shut me Down, and TALES OF DOMINCA for their second consecutive year in my top 5 tracks LMAO.
Also congrats to Marianas Trench for the second year at my #5 top artist, this is entirely because every few months I listen to their album Ever After on repeat about 20 times.
But no I'm delighted by this all because I had no idea what anything would be :o I completely forgot I watched Crazy ex gf earlier this year and subsequently listened to the songs on my own time lol.
Music is meant to be enjoyed; it's nice if it 'aligns' with you (or your muse) on a deeper level, but you can just be vibing.
Playlists are nice when you need something specific, but random is fine too.
Doesn't have to be some moral judgement. Let people be boring, let people be messy, let people be deep.
Sometimes lyrics are 1:1 or vague enough
sometimes only the tune/vibes fit.
But also like, in a general sense, listen to a whole artist sometimes. People are just as guilty of painting a musician as 'shallow' when they've heard like 2 songs off the radio; when there's a hidden gem in the album somewhere, shit like that.
and blah blah, genres too.
Music can grow your muse, if you want it to. Don't worry too hard about it. Don't worry too hard if you 'mishear' a song, now you've got double the meaning to it!
“I've been living in my lowest, it's safe to say, hope my little bit of hope don't fade away. I've been living on an island made from fate, can't go running back to home.”
