hahaha, hello! yes i am indeed new to OFF! i do know something of it, but only through analysis that juxtaposed it to undertale, and some really sick looking fanart. okay honestly. and i promise i will stop thinking about the deeply mediocre film argylle after this. but people have been talking about how confusing and how meta it is. but it isn't even that weird or meta????? like grow up! watch weirder movies

#like it's a movie where the plot deeply doesn't matter and you forget instantly upon leaving the theater which makes it kind of hard to des #cribe but that's not because it's overly complicated or meta or 4th wall breaking? like. and sorry to spoil argylle. lol. #woman is spy and steals incriminating information. woman is conflicted and plays both sides of conflict. woman hides information and then #gets captured. woman gets brainwashed into forgetting she's a spy and thinking she's a spy novelist. woman writes novels with memories of h #her past life which the spy agency hopes will reveal where she (spy) hid the info. action movie shenanigans happen. henry cavill is there. #like. there was a lot of eye contact with the camera in the first 15 minutes of the movie so i thought maybe they were going to directly #address the audience at some point but that never happened. and it never broke the 4th wall or really got meta at all?? #henry cavill shows up at the end which maybe implies that there is also a guy in the world who is also agent argylle (and is not just her r #repressed memories but could also just be a fun easter egg to end the movie. and there's a midcredits scene (ben daniels) that ties it into #the kingsmen universe. but that's it! #you people would hurl if you saw the meta shit i was into #anyways again. this is the anyone has ever thought about the movie argylle. a movie i think i liked more than most people but is deeply mid #isabel.txt #sorry i saw the shakespeare fourth wall post and started thinking about this again.

Rb'd that post that I reblogged another post saying it was dumb before I saw the original post. And the original was a fairly interesting take! And well-worded, and as I do, I went on a tag rambling about my thoughts.

And the more I went the more intensely I'm just like.

The fourth wall is the wall between fiction and reality!! Specifically!!! Between the story and the folks hearing a story!!!

If the streamer is acting In the way of a narrator, then that's... Almost valid? In the way narrators are sometimes also fictional characters in that universe. And are also telling you a story.

But it's not said a showman is breaking the 4th wall by addressing a crowd- but a storyteller might, even in person, if it served the narrative. It's not the screen- physically- that is a 4th wall, it's the wall between fiction and reality.

But dragon, you may ask, what of the roles We play as people?

And that's valid too! There's an argument to be made for, if you're actively fictionalizing yourself as a Streamer or Internet Entertainer, isn't it a fourth wall break?

And like. Maybe! If you're playing a character? I guess?? Like. But that doesn't make chat inherently a new 4th person pronoun- I genuinely don't know if this is a grammatical thing to begin with, tbh, or just something being used as 'a pronoun to refer to those on the Other Side of the 4th wall'

Though, it can be used in that way, in fiction. I've seen some games that have a steamer doing a stream type thing going, and if they used 'chat' there, It could conceivably be referring to a audience of a character.

my favourite dw episode being written by moffat is just me trying to keep people who want to box me into a specific type of dw fan on their toes

She-Hulk Season 1 Review: 8/10⭐️

Just finished She-Hulk, and I gotta say

I LOVE THAT SHOW

yes, it's pretty mundane and does not have a lot of literal kick-ass scenes but I really like it. The characters are amazing from the beginning and I personally really like how they dealt with the theme.

Is the CGI the best? No, not really. But I'm not personally really picky on it, I care more about themes and stuff. Is the storyline always consistent? No. But that reflects real life in many ways. Do we have a clear idea of who the villain is? Weirdly this is the biggest issue I had with the show. Is Titania a villain or is she just the influencer part-time villain? I honestly can't tell

Overall this is a tricky show because some people don't care about the theme/character and want the action and all the perfect GCI effects. While people like me who appreciate a good theme and characters will love this show.

I have this headcanon that Jason can break the 4th wall. But he chooses not to because:

he is a theatre snob that hates 4th wall breaks

he wants to put on a good show and again theatre snob

He knows secretly that people voted for his death and he isn't going to give the audience the satisfaction of his acknowledgement of them.
