“So this is the woman that the Captain won’t keep quiet about,” you smirk and place your hand into Farah Karim’s, eyes shimmering as you both share a tight grip.
“Commander,” greeting the black-haired woman, your light gear hangs off of you easily and efficiently; clean and well-taken care of.
“Lion,” she nods, smirking back. “A pleasure.”
“Please,” you huff a laugh, “I wish it could be.” Expressions dim as you instantly get to work, the hot sun and dry air sticking to your flesh like a second skin of humidity. Releasing Farah’s hand you sigh and look around the old town, skimming over the forms of other Urzikstan Liberation Force soldiers.
Farah does the same, breathing lowly.
“On that, I believe you’d be right.” Brown eyes flick to yours, looking you over before the woman nods. “Come, we have much to discuss.”
“Lead the way,” your feet push you onward, following behind the Commander as your wedding band clinks against your chest. Held on that long chain, a hand comes up to brush it carefully, letting the man who wears the mirrored piece bring you comfort even from so far away.
John was set to ship out in two days—there were some other important operations that had taken precedence. While you could have stayed behind with him, as you had wanted to do, a plea from one of the far-distant operators of One-Four-One had caught your ear. The name Farah Karim was known.
If you didn’t offer assistance, you’d never feel right with yourself. One call to Laswell and it was all set up.
“I’ll be there in two days,” John had muttered into your scalp as you both lay in bed, tight to one another; lashes fluttering. “Wait for me, yeah? No running off.”
Your smirk had made him sigh a chuckle. “No stunts of heroics, my Love? Please, do you know who you’re speaking to?”
“You’ll be the fuckin’ death of me, y’know?”
“Well,” the words are uttered into his neck and John pulls you tighter into him. “I think that’s just about the most romantic thing to happen to someone.”
Smiling to yourself, you bring the ring to your lips and kiss it lightly before letting it drop. In your head, John is still in your shared flat in London, and you’ll be back by the hour. If only.
“You contacted Laswell and said you had encountered more of Barkov's remaining cells?” Your voice carries easy authority; ingrained confidence.
Farah looks back and nods firmly.
“They’ve taken over a town in the mountains, my forces can’t break the line.” She sighs aggressively and you stare with a sliding frown. “Even dead, Barkov cannot leave my people alone.”
In the back of your throat, you hum, “Well, parasites tend to be resilient.” Farah leads you into a home with maps on the tables and low talking of strategies from others. They pause when you enter and you nod politely. Many here knew your husband as the Commander did—all those years back when he was still only a Lieutenant and had broken Farah and her brother Hadir out from the Russian’s jail; labeled as prisoners of war.
John had told you about it during one of the many late nights in your joint offices. Eyes tired and his hands playing with your hair.
“What do you need me to do?” You ask genially, standing near the table and placing your hands down on it—standard M4A1 resting over your chest and your secondary weapon strapped to your thigh. Unlike most, you’d opted for lighter gear to allow you to move faster.
Fewer packs sit on your vest, and the gleam of the knife on your shoulder was a testament to your preference to close, silent, encounters. Though you liked to use your silver tongue to get out of situations, unfortunately, that wouldn’t work in this instance.
“Captain Price told me you’re one of the best undercover agents he’s seen.” You perk at this, looking over with raised brows.
“Hell,” your chuckle echoes, “when you said he couldn’t keep quiet I thought you were exaggerating.”
Farah smiles cheekily at you before pointing to the map of a mountain town surrounded by red Xs.
“My soldiers have marked off choke points all around the area. They’re the only pathways to the town, but heavily guarded.” She glances around the room and you hear her sigh heavily. “I wouldn’t have asked for assistance unless I knew I needed it. I’d prefer to leave foreign fighters out of this conflict, unlike my enemy.”
“I understand,” your head shakes. “It’s your home—I’ll go where you need me to. John should be here in two days to assist.”
Farah’s face flashes with surprise, her full brows rising on her head. “Price is coming?”
You shrug and laugh, “he’s stubborn.”
The woman chuffs before moving to fold her arms over her chest. “I think perhaps he’s more of a smitten husband, hm?” At the sheepish expression on your face and dipping eyes, Farah barks a laugh.
The band around your neck clinks into the stock of your gun as you stand to your full height.
“Is it that obvious,” you tease, tilting your head to her. You knew it was.
“I believe the simple action of asking is proof enough, Lion.” The commander looks at her work on the table, smiling easily but focusing still on her plan of attack. “But, regardless, I give my thanks for flying out on such short notice.”
“We help our own.” Resting your hands on the body of your weapon, you smile fondly. “Now, who do I need to kill?”
As it turns out, killing was the very baseline of what you needed to do.
Shuffling into the dark armor of the dead Russian soldier at your feet, you grunt at the slick spread of blood on the ground as you strap arm braces to your limbs.
“Heavy as all hell,” you grumble under your breath, picking up the large helmet and shoving it over your head with a puff of air.
Farah was going to lead a distraction on the far side of the western choke point while you slipped into the ranks, placing packs of C4 in some of the large-stocked weapons buildings. Easy enough for you, you admitted. You’d done things like this a million times over.
When all was said and done, slipping your knife into the new belt at your waist, you gaze down at the dead man with a huff of air; seeing the blood still pooling from the very obvious signs of a slit up the left armpit. You blink and stuff your wedding band down your shirt.
“Bad day, buddy,” grabbing his legs, you bare your heels and drag the body behind a large outcropping of rocks—long streaks of crimson left behind. “I’d hate to be you right now.”
Grunting, you drop the limp flesh with a thump like a paper-towel roll meeting the counter.
Shuffling back into the open, your feet make tracks to get you closer toward your targets. You hike the small pouch Farah gave you farther up your back without a word more.
John had always said you were quick-witted, but when he got here he’d lose that hat of his in disbelief. The truth was that you had forgotten what little of the Russian language you’d initially known, and the situation you found yourself in now was frankly not ideal.
C’mon Lion, you think to yourself, just pick up social cues and you’ll be good.
Oh, your husband was going to lose his shit.
“Come again?” The Captain barks. “What do you fuckin’ mean she’s in the base?!”
“I just explained it,” Farah levels, raising a brow. Blue eyes narrow with a growl until the Commander's lips flicker in a smirk. “We just had word three minutes ago. She’s fine, Captain.” Fingers find John’s nose bridge, digging deep into the flesh in large exasperation and worry.
He had caught a C17 and came here a day early after he’d gotten a bad feeling—internal wife radar going off as it usually did when you placed yourself in danger without him. Which was more often than not.
I told her not to be impulsive.
John sighs long and low, shaking his head. “Farah…you sent her in alone?”
“She is quite capable, Price.”
“I fucking…” He stops himself and puts his hands on the table in the center of the building. Men and women were snickering from the corners, sending amused glances. “I know.”
Farah sends a glance to her soldiers and they turn away to cover their smiling mouths. Enjoyment was in her tone as she grabs the walkie-talkie from the table top and clips it to her vest.
“There were more men than we anticipated—she had to be more careful when placing the charges. Captain,” John glares up at her when his eyes leave the maps. The Commander teases, “She is fine.”
As if on cue, the radio fizzles with your voice. Farah looks down with surprise and the Brit's eyes snap to it immediately; body tense.
There’s a moment of garbled static where the Captain feels his heart beating out of his chest. The panic that had snapped through him when you hadn’t come out to greet him when he’d landed was primal; genuine fear stuck in his bones like spiky grass. The bond the two of you had was closer than anything on this plane of existence. It was rare to not see one without the other.
Your voice cuts through and John’s shoulders sag under a non-existent weight.
“You should tell your men to move unless they want to be scorched, Farah!” The woman in the room smiles ferally and raises a smug brow as she looks at John.
“Copy, Lion. You have my thanks.”
“I didn’t know you could improvise Russian—it’s like the Slavic blood just entered my body!” The Brit covers his eyes with his hand and groans at the base of his throat.
“Tell her to get her arse back here before she gets bloody shot.” John takes off his bucket hat and tosses it to the table with a gloved hand, punching his hair back from his forehead. “Giving me gray hairs,” he grunts.
Farah laughs and says eagerly into the walkie, “Someone’s here to say hello.”
“...Oh, fuck.” Your panting breath clears and after a long glare at the device, John hears you say in a slow and awkward tone, “Hello, my Love!”
Farah tilts the radio closer to him and looks highly pleased.
“Get back here. Now.” John grunts out, fingers digging into his arms as he crosses them. “I told you to wait for me.”
You laugh nervously, deflecting, “...did you, Dear? I guess I misheard you.” The Brit’s jaw clenches but Farah can speak before he can.
“Lion, are all the charges set, then?” You seem thankful for the distraction, sighing over the line.
“All good over here! I just need the O.K from your men and then it’s about to get a whole lot brighter.”
“I’ll relay the news—get away, as far as you can.”
“Already on it,” your breathy chuckle exits and you pause before saying. “See you soon, Love!”
Tiny blue eyes bug, “Wait–!” The line clicks off and Farah is already tapping into the frequency for her soldiers, turning slightly away to converse in quick Arabic.
Evening rolls around and you jog back into the Liberation Force’s base, greeting the guards stationed with a breathless sigh; utterly sweaty but happy you’d gotten half a ride back from some locals. You’re back in your original gear, sear marks on your cheeks and hair slightly burned, but nonetheless unharmed.
Everyone welcomes you back with handshakes and pats on your shoulders—brushes to your arm as people pass. You guide yourself back to the main building with chuckles and deep smiles of achievement.
“Someone’s happy.” John’s voice freezes you halfway into the home and you cringe like a leaf. After a moment your eyebrows slide up with a cheeky smile.
“John,” you draw out his name and turn, seeing him leaning against the house with his arms crossed and legs stiff. He looks unimpressed in all of his handsome glory. “Well, don’t you look nice—did you trim your beard before coming out?”
Walking slowly towards him, you loop your hands around his waist and press kisses into his neck sweetly. The man sighs long and you feel his large palms rest on your hips heavily. You blink innocently into his orbs.
“Your silver tongue won’t work on me, Love.” The glint in his expression eggs you on as his nose tints down to touch yours. You smile brightly, seeing the wrinkles on his forehead dim as he melts into you easily.
Whispering, you utter to the air, “I’d say you like my tongue, you brute. Tell me often enough.” Not a beat is missed, but you feel his cheeks go slightly red.
“Keep it on a leash and maybe I’d like it more, yeah?” You snort loudly, head dipping only to feel his lips press into your scalp; his smile is teasing as his beard drags against you.
John breathes you in along with the scent of sand. One of his hands travels up to lock into the back of your neck, playing with the chain of your necklace. The one that mirrors his own down to the very dents and scratches.
“You alright?” The words are a murmur into your flesh. You let him play with your wedding band as your smile softens to the same sensation of warm pelts on a wooden floor.
There was no use telling you to stop your crusades, the Brit knew that. You did what you wanted and damn the consequences; John was stuck with damage control but knew you had the skills and know-how to break all odds. You still held that same fire that the woman he married wore like a crown of fangs without fail.
“Always,” you reassure him, hugging his waist tighter and staring into his eyes.
The both of you lapse into a delicate hold. John’s arms cage you in and you’d have it no other way as fingers drag over warm flesh, never mind the brutal dig of gear or the stain of blood. Neither could keep you away from the other.
“When will you stop making my heart rip out of my chest, Sweetheart?” John asks, smirking down at you. “Trying to give me a heart attack before forty, eh?”
“Oh, please,” you whisper against his lips, eyes alight with mischief as he watches you closely—pulse pounding against yours. He could never be angry at you. “We both know that if you have one, I’ll be having one too. We’ll end up being brain-dead at the same damn time, no doubt.”
He laughs against you lowly, having to pull back to shake his head at your bland confession. “You’re fuckin’ mental, Love.” He breathes in soft puffs of breath. You gaze up at him, laced with affection and care, as he rests his forehead on yours. “Ah, but that’s alright, isn’t it? We’re all a bit crazy.”
“You might be a little bit higher on the metaphorical scale,” you tease, face serious but eyes betraying you. They always would when it came to John; the only person to break through that ‘cunning nuisance’ that everyone always mentioned in your file.
“Really, now?” He blinks, smirking and rubbing at your hip absentmindedly and leaning closer—pushing your neck to the side.
“Just a bit,” you huff, not even realizing.
Before you can utter another word, firm lips capture you like a beast in iron bars, bulky forearms stuck at the curve of your spine. You chirp into John’s mouth in surprise but melt into him as his large purr resonates into your bloodstream. Singing, you bring your hands to his cheeks, digging through those bristles to feel the burn on your hands.
Humming, your husband nuzzles his nose into your cheek like a dog would, letting him take in your scent as you feel your legs go weak. You enjoy the worship he gives you; always would. Your body is tightly held against his own and you gladly would have shown him how much you enjoyed him being here if only for the small fact you needed to talk to Farah.
With one last pass of his reddened lips, you slip back and kiss his bristly cheek with a chuckle.
“Later.”
He groans into you. “Tease.”
“I didn’t even do anything!” You laugh loudly, moving out of his hold to walk into the house as he follows at your heels. John’s hands go to the top of his vest collar to rest.
He leans down and whispers, “Don’t need to, Love.”
Your face burns for him and only him as he grumbles out chuckles at your blown pupils. Huffing, you turn and roll your eyes, trying to dispel your flaming blood. Farah waits for you and with a happy glance up she comes from around the table and claps you on both shoulders. You grunt in surprise but grip her elbows with a laugh.
“Barkov’s remaining cell was wiped out—my soldiers are hunting down the remnants as we speak.” She squeezes your gear and you sigh in relief. “Thank you, Lion, for coming out when you did. The Captain was not wrong in his assessment.”
You turn your head to the side and glance back at John. “Hear that my Love, I’ve heard you talk about me. That’s so precious.”
His face goes red under his beard, and his feet shuffle as you and Farah share a joking glance. John releases under-the-breath grumbles before the Commander addresses him. The woman releases you but speaks past your person.
“Some of my younger soldiers wanted you to mentor them with the use of their weapons, do you plan on staying the night?” You and John share a look, a seeming telepathic communication going on.
He nods at you and you smile. “Only tonight, we ship out at first light. I’ll do what I’m able.”
“Then you also have my thanks. They’ll learn much, I’m sure. Lion,” John comes and gives you a kiss on the cheek before leaving. You watch him go for a moment before rubbing at your dirty neck while you listen to Farah. “Come with me, there’s fresh water on the roof.”
“Oh,” you perk, suddenly realizing the fatigue in your bones and the dryness of your throat. “Thank you, that’d be great.”
As you both ascend the stairs to the roof, there’s a still silence that falls, a calm nothingness. When you finally stand on the flat roof, you look over the vast land as Farah hands you a chilled water bottle from a mini-fridge. You take it with a small nod in thanks.
“Nice view,” you motion with the bottle before taking a long sip—downing half of it in one go.
Farah smiles and hums. “Urzikatan is a beautiful place,” you listen and wipe at your mouth; seeing people walk the streets below as the red sun grows even lower. In the wind, your nose twitches to sand and dust, with some hint of floral notes and arid cleanliness. Farah’s face seeps with a low sadness when she looks out to the land and you pause your drinking. Brows pulling in, you watch her.
“Farah?” You ask, carefully. It’s a moment before she responds.
“I…” She crosses her arms and sets her feet. “I wonder if this place will ever see its freedom. We’ve been fighting for so long already. My family has known war more than anything else.” Brown eyes drift to you from the side of her eye.
There’s a tightness in your chest. You can’t imagine what Farah feels right now, what she has felt. Years of this…and still her home is under foreign subjugation. A frown grows on your face and you put the half-full bottle to the small wooden table near the roof’s corner.
“You’ll get your sovereignty, Farah.” You try your best to speak your mind to the woman but remain truthful to your belief. Farah stares out as you sigh lowly. “Maybe not now—maybe not in this generation—but someday the sun is going to set on a free Urzikatan. You’re plenty strong enough to assure that and you’ve done a proper job so far. The frames are already set.”
The Commander hums and gazes at her soldiers below as they mull about, laughing with each other and enjoying the company of their fellow countrymen.
“Do you ever wonder what it would be like?” Farah asks you, and you study her genuine interest in her own thoughts. “Who we would be if nothing ever happened to us.”
You stare for a moment, skull tilting down to gaze at the top of the roof. It’s not an easy question to answer.
“Sometimes,” your lips admit. Farch eagerly pivots to your form like you hold the greatest answer imaginable. She’s been through so much—losing her family, and her home. Humming, your eyes shift to the setting sun; blinking at it. Against all of this, your lips flinch up into a smile. “But not often.”
Farah’s eager gaze turns confused, her brows furrowing deeply with a scrunched face.
“Because right here, right now,” John walks down the street below, and your eyes fall to him as easily as a leaf dances to the ground. The expression on your face eases. “It couldn’t have happened if there were never bad days.” Your husband looks up, and you see him pause among the ranks of other fighters. You chuckle softly, head tilting to the side.
John stares at you as if you’re the only person to exist, moving one hand from his vest to jerk two fingers in a subtle greeting. Farsh watches the interaction closely, tension loosening from her body. Your head nods slowly to your husband and you say to the woman, absent-minded, “I’m right where I need to be…And the sun has never looked brighter.”
Farah huffs a laugh, eyes running back and forth between the two of you.
“He loves you,” she says, “deeply.”
“God,” your laugh echoes, “I sure hope so.” The both of you laugh.
It felt easy to speak to the Commander, truthfully. Being surrounded by four men all of the time can get catty even with such a strong bond as you had with One-Four-One.
You dare to share more.
"In my mind, John and I are still in Hertfordshire for our wedding,” The words come out of you slowly, unwrapping emotions one layer at a time as if swaddled in a dark veil of internal nostalgia. You watch John as he walks along, oddly sad but filled with something that makes you want to take him up into your arms with a wet laugh. “Sitting back on the grassy hills outside of town in my gown and him in his tux. The wind is cold…but neither of us can find it in ourselves to shiver. The sun's setting on our heads and making everything glow gold. His fingers are running through my hair…” You pause and hear Farah’s soft breath in the air, but you don’t look at her. Your eyes stay stuck on one person only. “When I die,” your words continue, “I can't ask for anything more than just a glimpse of that again. Just a flicker of that hill. Of those blue eyes looking into mine. I don't think it would be all that bad if I could live in that moment for senseless eternity. If I could live in it for only one second."
John looks back at you from over his shoulder, your form shrouded in the setting sun as he slowly walks away from you. You gaze with melted eyes, the ring around your neck shining all the brighter.
“I’m right where I need to be,” finishing, you turn your glossy eyes to Farah, who stares with a wide pull to her lids. “And you need to believe that even if you never get to see that freedom—that hill—you’ll make sure someone else can climb it just an inch farther.”
It’s a long moment before Farah answers.
“The both of you will do this until one of you dies, hm?” You blink before you shrug.
“Not one.” Your tone is easy, and John’s shadow turns a corner; out of sight. “I’d never let him go without me.”

LONG READ, BUT WORTH IT!!!
COD FANS, PRO-PALESTINIAN PALS, LISTEN TO ME FOR A SEC. I know this might be crazy, but hear me out. Just for a moment, I promise it'll be worth while. I thought for like 5 minutes on whether or not I should post this, but I say fuck it. My account isn't big, I'm not popular, but I know this will at least get on one persons page and get one persons attention and that's what matters.
Tumblr media
THIS MAN! THAT MAN UP THERE ^
COD besties love him, some people might not know who he is. His name is Johnathan Price, he's a fictional character played by Barry Sloane in the Modern Warfare 2 Remaster. Friends, take a close look to that thing around his neck.
Some of y'all think it looks familiar, right?
Me too. I might be slow on this, some people might've pointed it out on different platforms already, but I'm bringing it to attention anyway. It looks like a Kuffiyah. (Kuffiyeh? Kuffiya? Keffiyeh? I'm still a little confused on which spelling of the name is correct, so I'm using all of them). I might be crazy here, but it looks like one to me. If you don't know, a Kuffiyah is a Palestinian garment that, in very simplified terms, symbolizes their culture and freedom. I'm sure everyone already knows that that freedom has been threatened and that the people of Palestine are currently being slaughtered like cattle, no matter their age, sex, gender identity, etc. It's pure bloodshed of innocent people, a genocide, a holocaust if you need more terms.
I have a very simple theory that I don't think is hard to believe, but first let me show you what a Kuffiyah looks like for those who don't know.
Tumblr media
Protesters at University of Michigan in the US, this month. Photograph: Anadolu/Getty Images
The black and white garment these people are wearing is a Kuffiyah. You can find numerous videos on TikTok and other platforms showing up-close images and videos of a Kuffiyah and explaining what the pattern symbolizes.
Now, if you need a second look at that scarf-like garment Captain Price is wearing around his neck, you can scroll back up. There also should be a video below, a clip taken directly from the game, that shows that same garment at different angles if you need a better view.
Now back to that talk of a theory.
Farah Karim, another Icon from the Modern Warfare games. Again, some of you might not know her, here's an image of her.
Tumblr media
She's an occupant to a made-up Arabic country called Urzikstan that is located near the Black Sea. She's a solder, and leader, of the Urzikstan Liberation Force, which is an army that fights against the occupation and invasion of her country. In this case, Russia. Farah Karim and John Price are close and, in the games, team up to fight common enemies often. If you look at the country of Urzikstan on the map, in the COD universe, I believe it looks like the same area Palestine should be located on a map if it weren't for Israel's 70+ years of occupation and colonization on Palestinian land.
According to the games lore, the invasion and occupation of Urzikstan from Russia started in 1999, and I'm not sure if its confirmed but I believe it's at least once it's alluded to Price having helped the ULF (Urzikstan Liberation Force) fight off the Russian occupation and free the country.
By this point, I'm sure at least one of you incredibly intelligent people reading this post have figured out what my theory is exactly:
Urzikstan is Palestine in the COD Universe. Or, at the very least, is modeled after and has its history inspired by the very real horrors Palestine has been facing since around 1947 when one of the first/the first attack(s) on Palestine took place on December 31st (Here is an article you can read about that, and there are plenty of similar articles from that outlet). Some of you probably have stopped reading, or think I'm crazy, or something along those lines, but hear me out for a second.
That Kuffiyah that Captain Price is wearing, remember that? People who are in support of Palestine are buying and wearing those to help financially aid Palestinians who can still sell their goods and show their support. I believe that is exactly what Price did, and why he's wearing it.
Now, I raise a question to those who weren't in support before. If Captain Johnathan Price can do something so basic is show support for a population and help fight for a countries freedom, why can't you? It's not hard to reblog a post, or sign a petition, or attend a protest in your area, or at the very least educate yourself on the matter. So, if you aren't, why? If someone who I know most, if not all, of the COD community here on Tumblr loves can do it, can go to war and fight for it, then why can't you do something that's real?
Free Palestine, and have a nice day/night to those of you who actually read all of this to the end.

Woman -Philip Graves NSFW
Tumblr media Tumblr media
creds: @/vhenan_virabelesan on instagram (for that shirtless pic)
Based on a request:
god i love your writing can you write a belly dancer reader x graves id love to see it maybe when he goes to the middle east for Hassan or an entertainer part of the Urzikstan Liberation Force
---- F!Reader, belly dancer!reader, MDNI, 18+, unprotected!sex, some fluff ----
A/N: women are goddesses, so…here's Philip Graves worshipping that
It was ages since this happened but when he was back in the Middle East, the memory became so recent.
There you were, beautiful body on display as he watched how your body moved so incredibly smoothly. His eyes are glued on just you. In a way, he thanked his mate for dragging him out of base for a night out. All the other men let women sit on their laps but he disregarded the other women because, to him, you were the centrepiece. The skirt was so low and still, it gave him lots to dream about. You knew he was watching, he knew this too and that's why he gave you a smirk and a wink. You teased him more and before you even reached him, you walked back to your spot.
The whole night, he was hypnotised by you. Your curves, the way your glare was on his the whole time, those curves of yours and how with every body movement, you kept him on the edge of the seat. Why do you have to be so enchanting? To be this beautiful, that should be a crime. Lucky for you, he wanted to be the punisher.
The music fades away, his mates with beers and women by their sides and still, he didn't care for any of them, not with you in the same room as him. You walk away, your body calling his name with every step and before he got up, his friend brought a girl over for him. "No, I rather not," he gets up and walks to where he last saw you. Without sight of you, he continues walking, searching for that stare, searching for the curves god herself sculpted on you.
He spotted you but with every step he took, you got further from him. It was a dream, trying to reach you that the way there felt so dreading, so irritating. Once he finally tapped your shoulder and your gaze turned to him, that is when he knew that he didn't want to wake up from this. "Hi, I'm Philip and you ma'am, you are a goddess." You chuckle. He had that American charm. "R/N," you shake his hand and he smiles. "Hm, what a name, R/N," he said in such a way that it felt as if he was savouring the taste of your name in his mouth.
"Say, you want to get out of here, maybe to just talk?" He suggested and you took his hand. It was nice, that he wasn't already wanting to claim your body like any other man and when he and you were walking outside that is when you turned to him and asked, "So, I assume you are one of the soldiers?" A nod from him and a chuckle, "Yes but I promise I'm not rude or loud as you may think." And after much talk, you both learned much from each other's past.
He was raised by a military family, generations of it and he was aspiring to be like all the men in his family. Suburb child, oldest brother and the one who got a degree all as he worked in the military. He shared stories and laughed at a few of his stupid mistakes. You gave him a somewhat false story. You were a dancer to help yourself get out of the country someday and travel to other parts of the globe. In reality, you were working with Farah. She grew suspicious about more Americans in the country and made you pretend to be a belly dancer to gather intel. You lived in a flat alone, except for the cat that bothered you all over the lounge. Truth to that was the cat part but in reality, you lived at the the Urzikstan Liberation Force base. You gave him some childhood memory which was real and it explains the knee scar.
After some drinks and a long walk to a flat in which you and the rest used to spy, you took Philip to the bedroom. His lips melted to yours, hands touching you with eagerness. He pushed you to your bed, his shirt coming off so effortlessly it turned you on even more. His muscles are so prominent they push you over the edge. As he kissed your lips or body, he so smoothly slipped you out of the clothes that adorned you. "Open your mouth, darlin'." Your lips apart as he spit in your mouth and then made you lick his fingers.
It was erotic, the feeling he evoked from your body that needed him. A deep chuckle from his lips when you let out a soft gasp as his fingers played with your clit. "Phil-" His lips back on yours. In between kisses, he ushers, "Just let me control you, be a good girl and just feel this." God how much you needed him to control this moment. It had been a while since a man took care of you this way and this was long overdue. You nod and he smiles, "Good girl," from his lips the hungry whisper escaped. He parts your legs properly and kisses your lips, neck and chest. His calloused fingers felt so good as they fingered your hungry cunt. You clench around the fingers and he goes feral. He can't take it anymore and instead of giving you passion, he gives you dominance.
His lips and tongue praise your clit and tight cunt. Fingers spread you open for him as you grip the bed sheets. He smirks knowing he can already feel you throb, your clit becoming so sensitive to his tongue that he sucks on it just to hear you cry a moan. Tonight, he is in control of every orgasm. You might been with boys before but not with a man who knows the female body right. His hand gripping his hair, pushing him more into you. He spits on your cunt and then licks it before letting his tongue slip inside and keep you opening that cunt of yours for him.
His jeans were already a mess with pre-cum. His tip was so swollen and dripping with pre-cum that it made him pull away from you. Hands undo the belt that he ties your hands with to the bed and then his jeans come down. Boxers to the floor as he gives your mouth the hydration it needs. Your tongue laps at his tip before he grows desperate and pushes your head. Your mouth to his shaft as he forces you to look up. His cum leaking all over your mouth so quickly, giving him more reason to fuck the feeling of need out of you.
He pulls out, "Open your mouth, darlin'" his hands caressing your face. More spit on your mouth as he kisses you and lets himself savour your kiss. You look at him, drunk with his cum already. He opens your legs again and then begins to rub your clit, teasing it until you are bucking your hips for his fat cock. He is so big you aren't so sure how he fitted in your mouth and how it'll fit in your cunt. "We'll make it fit," he knew that look and he was ready to stuff you with his cock.
The tip, rubbing into your entrance and letting out whimpering begs, "I'm ready," "Please…fuck me." It wasn't until you pouted that his cock finally slipped inside of you. Waves of pleasure flow through your body as he fucks your cunt. Your moans are soft now louder and more desperate with all the thrusts he gives you. Your back is arching, eyes closed as he keeps slamming his big cock in you. His balls slapping against you, your hands wanting to leave marks on his body. "Is my pretty doll close?" He leans in and kisses your sweet lips.
Your desperate nod left him with a dark chuckle. His hand, wrapped around your neck like a perfect necklace. "Give yourself to me. Let me own you," he whispers angrily. Your slick covering his cock. He slaps your tits and then you smile. "You like that?" he keeps slapping them until he begins to nibble on the soft breast skin. Your nipples are covered in his kisses. Your moans are barely loud as he keeps choking you.
You look at him and he knows from how you clench that you are close. "Scream who owns this pussy," his grip harder. Pleasure roaming your body as the thrust is more animalistic. Your tits bouncing, your juices squirting on his cock. He throws his head back. The way your cunt clenches around him, milking him for every drop of cum. Your cry, your body so sensitive and shaky as he begins to fill your pussy with his cum.
"Fuck…oh fuck..just like that pretty girl," he moans loud and closes his eyes. A smile on him as he watches how his cum drips from your cunt. "Philip, I…please…I'm so..ngh…so..so sensitive." Your tears fall down your face but even then his fingers can't stop rubbing your clit. He only chuckles and shakes his head. "No doll of mine tells me what to do," his hand on your neck again.
One final moan from you makes him pull out. His finger pushing his cum back into you. "Phil…fuck.." "take it, r/n, be a good girl," he whispers in your ear. "Please~" Your head is thrown back as his fingers finally pull away from your cunt.
Seven years later he still masturbates to the image you left for him. Your body is covered in his cum and hickeys. Now as he looks at your photo in the frame of his office, he smirks knowing every night, he goes back home and fucks your cunt and not his hand no more. For some time, when he was horny and needed relief during work hours, he would send you videos of his cock, leaking cum all as he moaned your name over and over again.
It was true what they said about him later on. He became a lover and a soldier. Being around you and parading you as his girlfriend. Back then you would've laughed at Farah for making such a joke and now you blush when flowers appear at the base. "See you in three weeks, doll. -Phil G." "Seems like you got the American boy in love with you," Farah mentions as she walks past. "You'll have to thank me for what I created," she jokes and you roll your eyes.
Ever since then you became the feared girlfriend of the merciless commander Graves. Everyone teased you for it. Some didn't know about the fling you had with Philip. No one knew what you and he did that night years ago. And as all good things come, his gestures of love became sweeter. Kisses on the cheek, hand and neck. Whispers of sweet nothings when you were in his office. His hand holding yours when you walked around base.
A necklace draped your neck with his initials. Over time, his title changed and so did your last name. At home, he became a husband who didn't even allow you to lift anything. More so when you got pregnant. Home became a sweet word he proudly bragged about to everyone. "My wife this, my wife that." He was known to be cocky but when he finally had a ring with his and your initials on that pretty hand of yours, he became even more cocky. Every man and woman knew that his body and heart belonged to his beloved. No need to share a beer with a woman on his lap. Not unless she was you.
Now as you stand there with his three kids and the fourth and fifth on the way, he looks back at the time his wife let him claim her for the first time. Your sweet stare and the kids giggling, that is what resulted in worshipping a true goddess.
A/N: I canon he is a god at eating pussy and no one can change that anymore. Also...can you tell I love to lure the whores into thinking I had some smut and more fluff? its called teasing my nasty whores<3

My MWIII Thoughts
I’ve finally taken the time to get all of my thoughts about the new campaign together and put them in a single post. There are no spoiler tags since the game is officially releasing today/tomorrow, but everything is under the cut with a warning. I have a lot of things to say here, so I’ve tried to organize it point by point. The points I think are most important are first, and I ask that you take the time to read through them. If you want to skip to the points about characters and that death, the beginning of those sections is marked with red, but be prepared to scroll.
I watched the custscenes, with gameplay, all the way through once and I’m not doing it again. I tried to go back to specific scenes to reference in this post, but even that was a lot for me, so if my timeline in here is a little screwy don't fault me too much.
If you just want my quick, overall thoughts: This campaign was two hours of egregiously incoherent, poorly written, shoddily thrown together military propaganda, even more than the cod games usually are, and your money would be much better spent donating to help Palestine - there are links to do so in this review, marked with green, as well as boycott information, and the same donations links are also provided on this shorter post if you want to go directly to them.
(There are spoilers below, and this is long. I'm not kidding. Do not click the readmore unless you are prepared to scroll.)
Military Propaganda/Islamophobia
I spoke about this some already here and here because I felt this was an important enough topic that deserved its own post.
Call of Duty has never been has never been the game where I expected to see proper representation of the Middle East or Middle Eastern politics. It is first and foremost military propaganda. More than that it is American military propaganda. Just like with every superhero and pro-military movie post-9/11, it should be expected that you’re not going to get any kind of meaningful insight or depth when it comes to Middle Eastern storylines and characters, but there is usually more of an effort to hide the Middle East = Terrorist subtext.
To say I was shocked at how overt and blatant the Islamophobia was in this game is an understatement. We get four deaths of named characters in this game. Two of whom are Middle Eastern women, Dena and Samara, from the country Urzikstan, the fictional combination of Syria and Afghanistan and home to terrorist group Al-Qatala (real subtle, right?). Both of these women are associated with the ULF, the Urzikstan Liberation Force, Farah’s group of freedom fighters whose goal is to free their country from foreign subjugation with Samara no longer being an active member. Both of these women are introduced in this game. Both of these women are minor characters. Both of these women, Samara in particular, are trying to live their lives peacefully now that their country has been freed.
Both of these women are given deaths more brutal and more shocking than the other two deaths of two main characters in the series.
We meet Dena at the beginning of the game when we’re first re-introduced to Alex and Farah. We see her have a heartfelt reunion with Farah, and the two have a conversation while driving where Dena expresses her concerns about wanting Urzikstan to remain peaceful but assures Farah that everyone will support her. After, Dena is suddenly shot in the chest, and Farah is forced to take control of the vehicle they’re in, which ultimately flips over and we get Farah’s first death fakeout.
It’s in this cutscene that we see a lingering shot on Dena as well as her corpse being thrashed in the car as Farah tries to take control and as it flips. We are given a Middle Eastern woman showing hope for her country that the peace she has fought for will be maintained only to then watch her die for shock value and a fakeout for another character, and watch her body fly across the car as it flips. We don’t get that with either of the other two gunshot deaths in this game. Soap’s is just as sudden, but we see it coming, and there are no shots of his body being thrown about, no closer views of his face like there are with Dena. Shepherd’s is entirely off-screen and all we’re left with is a shot of him lying face down on his desk - no blood or bullet wound in sight.
Notably, the only other person we see a comparable amount of blood on in this game is Makarov, the enemy of the series.
Samara, who gets the worst death in this game, in my opinion, is a retired ULF soldier we’re introduced to on a plane. I’ll start by saying I was under the assumption this may have been the reboot replacement for No Russian, the mission in which Makarov and Co. shot up Zakhaev International Airport to frame America for terrorism in the original series, and the mission that was teased after the credits in the MW2 reboot. We get the scene of Makarov and his men at the airport before boarding the plane, which could just be a nod to the original mission. However, until there is an official reboot of the No Russian mission, I’m going to assume this was Activision’s new take on it.
In this mission, we learn that Makarov plans to use this plane bombing to frame Urzikstan, Farah and the ULF specifically. The thing is, as Big Mak and friends are in the airport preparing to board, we are shown that the ULF is already being blamed for the missile attack on Arklov Military Base from the previous mission where their missiles were stolen, capped with Konni’s chemical gas, and one was detonated. There’s even a news sequence showing that the world already thinks of the ULF as a terrorist organization, and has not-so-quietly thought that for years. That makes this upcoming scene feel not only unnecessary but like a deliberate choice made by Activision to be extra cruel to a Middle Eastern character.
We see Samara text with her family and are shown a picture of her husband and children before the man next to her begins speaking to her in Arabic. He compliments her family and, I assume as we’re not directly shown, gets the No Russian text - a text, for those who have not played the original games, meaning to not speak Russian to not tie the terrorist act they’re about to commit back to the Russians. The Traveler, as he's called, then reveals that he knows who she is, knows her family, and knows that she is a former ULF soldier and fought the Russians. He then pulls a gun on her and Makarov and Konni take the plane hostage, purposely speaking Arabic and declaring this is for Urzikstan.
We are then forced to watch as Samara fights back, but is ultimately taken to Makarov where a bomb is strapped to her chest. He gives his usual cryptic speech, and over-explains to the audience what’s happening before diving out of the plane D.B. Cooper style.
Samara is then dragged to the back of the plane by a Hijacker, where the remaining passengers are, kicking and fighting and trying to reason with him to stop. He pauses and we then get this exchange:
Hijacker: Are you a terrorist?
Samara: No…
Hijacker: You look like one.
He then puts a gun in her hands, tosses the cellphone that will let her stop the bomb, and shoves her into a crowd where we have to watch her struggle to explain what’s happening to her and that she needs the phone to a crowd of people that are either afraid of or angry with her. She is shoved to the ground by a random man, forced to fight through people trying to tackle and beat her, and, when the phone is finally within reach in the hands of a scared passenger, the plane blows up.
I want to emphasize that most of this is a cutscene. There are a few button presses for the player to try and get the phone, and you are allowed to look around and try to fight back, but that is quickly stopped, and you are forced to sit and watch through Samara’s perspective. The end result? There’s an investigation for who may have done this, and you play as Farah collecting evidence from the crash site so Makarov can’t frame the ULF. The mission succeeds, because it’s a story mission and it has to, Makarov is unable to control the narrative so people can only suspect the ULF did it but can’t prove it, and Samara…died for nothing. All of that was so people could suspect the ULF was a terrorist organization, which the game has previously gone out of its way to establish was already happening before Makarov got on that flight. This entire sequence and the mission after added nothing to the storyline other than the brutal forcing of a Middle Eastern woman to hijack a plane 9/11 style and die a death worse than two of the series’s main characters.
Two side characters, two Middle Eastern women who have never existed before this game, are put in this game solely to die in ways where their deaths are more emphasized and graphic than a character we’ve played as since the series began, and one of the main villains.
There is a genocide happening in Palestine. Islamophobia in the United States, and the West as a whole, is rising to post-9/11 heights. There is already so much propaganda being spread in an attempt to dehumanize the men, women, and children who are being murdered by Israeli forces, to justify the actions - the war crimes - of the Israeli forces. Could this be a sloppy attempt at Activision trying to mirror real-life stereotypes and how quick the media is to jump to the Arab = Bad narrative? Possibly. I don’t think it is. I think this was a deliberate change from the original No Russian mission in which America is framed for terrorism, made by an American company that makes games meant to garner interest and support in the American military, during a time when the American government is being criticized for funding and aiding an ethnic cleansing.
As slapped together as this game was, I don’t believe they couldn’t have changed the campaign in the time since the situation in Palestine escalated to this level. I firmly believe it was a purposeful choice to write that scene, to film that scene, to keep that scene.
It is blatant, it is clear, it is as in-your-face as it can possibly be. It is not something this fandom gets to ignore because they don’t like the campaign. It is not something this fandom gets to overshadow with Soap’s death as poorly written as it was. It is not something this fandom gets to stay silent about while also posting about #freepalestine.
I have never expected the best when it comes to Islamophobia from the Call of Duty games or its fandom. I’ve never expected anything beyond mildly okay. Call of Duty is military propaganda, I know. The fandom is known for its racism and it’s not getting better, I know that especially. But I don’t see how anyone, in the times we’re living in right now, would be able to look at this and not acknowledge it for what it is.
It is the purposeful brutalization of Middle Eastern characters.
It is propaganda.
It is racism.
It is Islamophobia.
It is wrong.
Engaging Critically/Acknowledging Privilege
While I may be stepping back from the CoD fandom, I understand that not everyone is going to. For some people, these games are a comfort or an escape. I’m not here to call for a boycott of Call of Duty or Activision while there are more important boycotts to be focusing on - and you can find more info on them here & here.
What I am asking, particularly of those of us in the fandom that are not being directly affected by what’s happening in Palestine, is that there is more acknowledgment of the level of privilege that we have and that people learn to engage more critically with the media they consume.
It is a privilege to play a game like Call of Duty and not have to think about the propaganda. It is a privilege (and ignorant) to say “it’s not political”, “it’s just pixels”, or “it’s not real”. It is a privilege to be able to just turn the game off and never have to think about war, and the impact of the representation of the characters, and the real-life events that these games base themselves on. And this isn’t just a CoD issue, this is something that should be considered with every piece of media you engage with.
There is no such thing as a “politics-free” book/movie/game/show. Everything carries the biases - conscious or subconscious - of the person or people who created it. There is no such thing as media or fiction not having an effect on real life, especially in a fandom for what is essentially War Crimes: The Game.
I’m going to take a quote from this post by @yeyinde.
"It’s incredibly egregious to pretend that the media you consume isn’t based, in some part, on real life or has no repercussions outside of it just being fiction. And it’s especially dishonest to say this isn’t the case within the COD fandom when people have said that the erasure of Gaz from the fandom in favour of a white character is traumatising. The portrayal of the Middle East is traumatising. The portrayal of Makarov in fiction as an uwu-sympathetic babbie is traumatising. The portrayal of the military as heroes is traumatising. These are real people expressing real emotions and bringing up important matters that impact them long after they’ve logged out of tumblr. Just because they stop being relevant to you after that does not, and SHOULD NOT, matter. Their trauma, their feelings, and their interpretations shouldn’t be ignored in favour of some catch-all excuse to limit your responsibility as a consumer to think critically about the media you’re devouring just because it has no consequences for you."
Fiction mirrors real life whether you want to admit it or not. It shows real biases, and it affects real people. Participating in fiction and the surrounding culture does not magically absolve you of consequences. It does not suddenly mean you get a free pass at things like sexism, racism, ableism, colorism, romanticization of abuse and sexual assault, etc. just because your escapist fantasies are conveniently free of people who are different from you.
It may be your fiction, but it is someone else’s non-fiction, and you do not get to decide that it isn’t or that the impact doesn’t matter because it’s about fictional characters.
I'm going to link another post from @yeyinde with another quote here.
"It’s easy to get swept up into something when you have no tangible ties to the effects of what’s being portrayed, which can lead to making dismissive or hurtful statements out of pure ignorance. My biggest gripe was the excuses being laundered out and (either unintentionally or intentionally) giving the creators a pass for what they created and the harm they caused other people to experience. Just because they did not experience the same trauma, it does not diminish its impact on others. This is a very important distinction, which I think was being missed."
Does this mean you can’t ever write or read about traumatic things, or that you can’t enjoy the CoD games ever again? No.
But I need you all to understand that you can criticize the media you enjoy. You should criticize the media you enjoy. Criticism does not mean never letting yourself enjoy a piece of media again. Criticism does not mean trying to get a character or creator “cancelled”. Criticism does not automatically equal hate.
Criticism is an act of love, and it is necessary when deconstructing and confronting biases - both yours and other people's.
Resources To Support Palestine
The lovely @moondirti provided some organizations where you can donate to support the humanitarian aid in Gaza with the note:
It's important to acknowledge that, while limited aid is being allowed through, recent negotiations have allowed your charity to reach the people of Palestine.

Onto the actual game.
The 141
I don't know what happened during development between this game and MW2, but the relationship between the members of the 141 is severely lacking. We get the usual Soap and Ghost banter for one mission, because, let’s be real, that's what got a lot of people into the last game, but that's about it? There’s nothing new, nothing added to their relationships, and the game sticks to the same duos (Ghost/Soap & Price/Gaz) that we’ve had for the past two games. Even Soap and Ghost’s banter during the attack on Milena’s private island doesn’t have the same impact on the characters as their banter during the Alone mission in MW2. They get a few lines about Soap admiring Milena’s cars and Ghost taunting him about marrying an Oligarch, and…that’s it until the cutscene where they interrogate her.
There’s maybe a few quippy lines here and there, but overall the 141 gives off the same feeling as a group of semi-friendly co-workers that sometimes work on the same project rather than an actual team that has shed blood, sweat, and tears with each other.
This would’ve been such a great time to explore deeper into the team dynamics, show us pairings we don’t get to see as often and build on those relationships, make us really feel for these characters on a personal level. In the original series, you got a feel for every character and their team dynamics, and the player felt the impact of each death as they watched the other characters react (something I’ll talk about later). With this game, we get…what? Four men that desperately need a lozenge throwing a few sassy one-liners at each other and giving each other a harsh pat on the back like a bunch of dads at a barbecue?
I feel like so much of the heavy labor regarding the 141 in the reboot is done through fanfiction at this point because this game especially gives us barely anything to go on, and that’s such a missed opportunity on Activision’s part considering how so much of MW2’s popularity came from the relationship built between Soap and Ghost. It all just feels so hollow and surface-level; there’s no depth here, no attempt to build a connection from the player to this group as a team. In my opinion, Activision relies too heavily on the older fanbase’s connection to the original series, and the newer fanbase’s self-created characterizations, to fill in the blanks so they can leave these characters as empty and vanilla as possible in order to appeal to a broader audience.
And they’ve still somehow managed to fail at that. Speaking of failing...
Graves and Shepherd
Graves should’ve died in that fucking tank, and I will stand by that opinion even after I die. It was such a cop-out to have him live, and for him to suddenly come back with the excuse, “Well, I wasn’t in that tank, blah, blah, blah.”
This is supposed to be a game series where characters die and stay dead. The characters die. Some die heroically, some die horrifically, some die quickly, some die painfully slow, most die bloody, but they die. It’s a staple of the series, like Game of Thrones pre-season 5. I don’t know if Activision didn’t know what to do with his character, or if they realized he was semi-popular with the fans and decided to magically bring him back via deus ex remote-controlled tank, or if they were trying to “subvert expectations” and give us all a little surprise plot twist, but it sucked.
Also, no one checked the tank for a body? That seems to be something everyone has a problem doing in these games, and I don’t know what Activision thinks that does for the 141, but what it does do is make these elite military officials look incompetent as hell because their “dead” enemies keep coming back.
There was nothing different that Graves did in this game from what he did in the previous game. We get the same air support mission from him that we got last game, and really that’s it. Okay sure, he’s working with Farah now, that’s a little different, but what did he do in that mission? Give her vague instructions on where to find some GPS trackers and then give her more vague instructions on where to find the missile containers to slap the trackers on? He could’ve easily been replaced with one of Farah’s people who scouted ahead, or Alex, or a decorative cowboy hat, and the mission would have gone the exact same.
Other than that he spends the entire game hiding behind Shepherd like a scared child up until the end when he ultimately turns on Shepherd, and even that felt so blah. He faces no consequences for his (racist) actions in Las Almas other than Gaz refusing to shake his hand, he faces no consequences for betraying the 141, going so far as to lie that it even happened in front of Congress, and he gets off completely free as far as we know. There was no point to his character, no point to bringing him back, no point to him being in this game at all, and if I find the Activision employee who decided to keep him alive I will be throwing hands expeditiously.
Shepherd was…there, I guess? I’m sure he was meant to be a menacing, sly, back-stabbing character, but he came off as more irritating than anything. His rescue mission felt akin to being forced to babysit your annoying younger sibling who questions everything you do. They give you a cute little nod to the OG series with his cutscene with the 141 in the snow (because Activision has to rely on nostalgia and easter eggs since they know this game is emptier than the promises of an absentee father), but most of it is spent with Shepherd preaching about how great he is and threatening the 141 like he’s been doing the entire game. I’m sure he’s supposed to come off as clever, outsmarting the 141 and tricking them into rescuing him - this big, bad, battle-hardened General - but all of that is undercut by him getting captured to begin with.
The General Shepherd in the original series killed two of the player characters. How am I supposed to be intimidated by this nagging grandpa briskly jogging through the snow behind me in his ugly pajama jumpsuit? Even his ending is lackluster. He’s outwitted in front of Congress by Graves of all people, and then we get a cutscene where Price shoots him off-screen. That’s it. There was no satisfaction like in the original series, no triumph, no sense of vengeance, only a tired feeling of thank god I don’t have to deal with this anymore. This constant attempt at build-up in this reboot series of Shepherd being this looming figure over the 141 ends not with a bang, and not even with a whimper.
Makarov
I’m going to start this off by saying I mean absolutely no hate to Julian Kostov, Makarov’s actor, he definitely did his job.
Unfortunately, that job was playing a random Russian man that happened to have the same name as the Vladimir Makarov from the original series. He’s literally just a dude. There’s nothing particularly menacing about him, nothing that really screams Leader of an Ultranationalist group, nothing that would set him apart in a line-up of kind-of-gruff white men. I wasn’t expecting him to be some over-the-top supervillain, but he feels too normal, too regular, too everyday. Maybe that was the point Activision was trying to make - that having a villain with too-sharp features, eyebrows with in-your-face arches, and two-toned eyes is realistically too much - but it feels like they leaned too far in the opposite direction to compensate.
How am I supposed to take Makarov seriously when they gave him such big, brown, babygirl eyes? Though I realize this may be a character model issue because everyone in this game seemed to have huge doe eyes at one point or another (looking directly at you and those unblinking baby blues, Soap).
The first time we get a proper cutscene with Makarov, he shoots one of his own men – one who had questioned his plan in the rescue mission – and he gives some passionate Make Russia Great Again speech that involves a lot of big gestures, promises of showing the world “true power”, and him being weirdly touchy with one of his men. It’s not a bad scene, and I think Julian really shines here as Makarov. It’s a little in-your-face for me, but overall not a bad introduction to what is supposed to be the overarching big bad for the rest of the series. It gives you a good enough sense of danger, and just enough worry for the main crew as they get ready to go up against this guy.
Unfortunately, the rest of the game doesn’t really follow through on that. Makarov spends more time monologuing, asking his men “philosophical” questions about prisoners and guards, and cryptically foreshadowing at the 141 than he does doing…anything. We are told about all of the bad deeds he’s done. We are told how evil he is. We are told that Makarov needs to be stopped at all costs. The only problem is, we aren’t shown any of that. We see the aftermath of Verdansk, a distant explosion after Makarov has been captured, but we never see Makarov do any of that. When we do get to see Makarov, his men are doing all of the dirty work while he stands around and looks evil. It’s his men fighting and killing guards to get him out of prison, his men attacking Farah and her soldiers, his men launching missiles topped with biochemicals, his men forcing Samara to blow up a plane, his men guarding Milena and his finances. The most he does during any of these scenes is order his men around and give evil villain speeches to give the audience exposition about why he’s doing all this.
We probably see more of Makarov’s shirtless Tinder pic than we see him in action.
In the original series, we see Makarov being at the forefront of his movement, unafraid to get his hands dirty. He is part of the group that commits the massacre/terrorist attack on Zakhaev International Airport, he kills the two FSO agents protecting President Vorshevsky, he’s the one who shoots and kills Yuri, and that’s only part of what we see in-game. Sure, we’re told about his other crimes, but we’re shown enough to back up the claims that he is evil. In this game, he kills two people himself, one of them being his own soldier that I mentioned earlier, and the other being Soap (and we’ll get to that later). Two extremely lackluster deaths that are over before you get the chance to really digest them. Maybe he kills more people during the intro mission when you rescue him, but it’s during gameplay and easily missed when you’re too busy trying to fight your way out of this Arkham-esque prison. I think I could look past it if he wasn’t also present during some of the scenes where his men are carrying out his atrocities for him, but instead, Activision chose to have him in the background standing there…menacingly.
I don’t want to say Makarov was a bad villain; he was certainly better than Shepherd and Graves. I just think Activision made very strange choices with his character that resulted in him becoming this weird mishmash of an average monologuing movie villain and the micromanaging boss that stands over your shoulder, and it took a lot of the “oomph” out of his character for me.
Soap's Death
I hope whoever made this decision at Activision has to live the rest of their life constantly feeling like they have to sneeze and are never able to. What the fuck happened here? In what world did Soap’s death make any kind of sense here? This felt like they knew fans were expecting someone to die (and they already retconned the yeehaw war criminal) so they put a bunch of names in a hat and had some poor unpaid intern pick one out.
I have not been quiet about how much death I wanted in this game. I expected at least two deaths, with one of them preferably being Price. Going into this I was prepared to lose characters, and I was prepared to lose them to a heroic sacrifice, to an exhaustingly epic gunfight, to an explosion in a clocktower, to literally anything, but I was not prepared to lose a character to bad writing. And that’s what Soap’s death was. There is no build-up to it throughout the game other than a cryptic, “I’ll see you again, MacTavish.” from Makarov in a flashback scene. There’s no exploration of Soap’s character arc, his background, his family. There’s nothing.
Price and Soap try to defuse a bomb, Makarov shows up and his men overpower them, Makarov goes for the kill on Price, and instead shoots Soap when Soap tries to stop him. The entire cutscene can be summed up as A Series Of Conveniences. Makarov conveniently gets to Soap and Price just as they’re about to defuse the bomb, the officers they have with them are conveniently incompetent to stop any of Makarov’s men, Makarov’s men conveniently don’t notice Soap getting up to stop him from shooting Price, Ghost and Gaz are conveniently one second too late save Soap, and a train conveniently passes by to let Makarov make his escape. It’s over in less than a minute, and there’s little to no reaction from the surviving 141 members before the game starts shoving in your face that there’s a bomb you have to defuse that has conveniently not gone off yet and was conveniently missed in all of the gunfire.
Aside from the bullshit way it happened, the most disappointing thing here was the cutting of Soap’s arc and the lack of reaction from Price, Ghost, and Gaz. There was no growth for Soap in this game, no building of his story that would make his death feel like a satisfying conclusion. We just got the same Soap we’ve had in the rest of the series, and then he was gone. And the fact that we got absolutely nothing from the team in that moment was so…frustrating. Yeah, Ghost kneels by his body, and gives a brief, “Johnny!” but that’s…it? Price says nothing. Gaz rushes to the bomb and says nothing. After that moment in the cutscene, Ghost says and does nothing. There’s not even a hitch in their voices as they finish disarming the bomb. In Soap’s original death, we got Price screaming and begging over his body. We got to see his grief and pain and hurt at losing someone so close to him. Here we get…them standing over the body, a cut to black, and then a funeral cutscene that doesn’t feel earned full of commiserations that feel empty, hollow, and generic.
Maybe I’m too nostalgic for the Captain MacTavish we had in the original series, and the death they gave him that was impactful enough that people still talk about it to this day. Maybe there’s something meaningful here that I’m not seeing. Or maybe Activision can’t write for shit and rushed Soap’s death without a care just like they rushed this game as a quick cash grab to ride the hype of MW2.
Whatever the reason, these characters deserved far better.
Soap deserved better.
And I deserved to see a rebooted Captain MacTavish.
Gameplay
This section is going to be short because I didn’t spend money on this game to actually play it, I only watched gameplay. The general consensus seems to be that this game is nothing but glorified DMZ, and I can’t disagree with that. Supposedly, at least two of the campaign settings were ripped straight from Warzone, the Gulag and Verdansk Stadium, and I think that really shows how much of this game was slapped together because Activision wanted to hurry to release so they could capitalize off the CoD hype as much as possible. The combat is the same in every mission, the air support mission is as boring as ever, the NPC AI is all over the place, and the character models constantly shift from being really good to mobile game bad within the same cutscene.
I’m not saying I could do better, but I don’t think I could do worse. You can take that however you’d like.
The Writing/Storyline
Starting off, I’m going to say this with my whole chest:
Main story content should be in the main story, and not in optional or additional content.
Look, I don’t mind an easter egg here and there in DLC. I don’t mind the mention of a big bad in an extra, paid quest to build up hype. What I do mind is when the understanding of the main storyline of your game is dependent on things that happen in content that players are required to complete outside of the main game.
Do you know how we found out Alex was alive? An optional Raid.
Do you know how we learned Graves was a little bitch and wasn’t in the tank? An optional Raid.
Do you know how we–
You get my point. These kinds of reveals should have been in the main storyline because they pertain to the main storyline. Otherwise, you have people reacting with confusion because the main campaign was all they played, and they were left under the assumption that Alex may or may not be dead, that Graves burned in that tank in Las Almas, that Farah’s brother (Remember him? Activision doesn’t.) was alive and out there somewhere, etc, etc. It feels like they’re trying to do what Marvel does when they interweave their cinematic universe with their television shows: leave references to things only the more committed audience - the audience who will watch every show, play every game, see every movie, buy every DLC - would understand while punishing everyone else. It feels lazy on Activision’s end, and cheapens any kind of suspense they may leave us with going forward.
I wouldn’t even be surprised to see something like “Oh, Soap died and Makarov escaped at the end of the main campaign? Just kidding! They revealed in the newest Raid that Soap actually survived, and Makarov got hit by that train at the end.”
Outside of that, the whole storyline just feels unnecessary. This whole game feels unnecessary. I know there are rumors that this was meant to be a DLC for MW2 that got extended into a full game because Activision wanted more money, and if I didn’t already believe that, the writing would confirm it for me. Nothing feels fleshed out. Not the story, not the plot, not the characters. It all feels very surface-level and shallow, like more of the exact same thing we got in the last game, but somehow worse. The banter between the 141 is just not there, the tell don’t show when it comes to Makarov, the rapid POV switching, it all feels so thrown together, so last minute, like the writers had no idea what they wanted to do up until release.
One thing that really bothered me was the constant death fakeouts. It felt like every mission something awful would happen and one character would be left with their fate unknown in a dramatic cut to black as a cheap way to build suspense…only for that suspense to be immediately undercut by showing them alive in the very next cutscene. This happens with Farah (twice), Price, Alex (partially, there’s no cut to black, but there is a fakeout that he has been captured), and Laswell all within the first half of the game. At some point, it starts to get irritating and kills any and all suspense going forward. I was spoiled on Soap’s death, I knew it was coming before I watched the cutscenes, but by the time I got there, I was almost expecting Soap to show up in the next sequence without a scratch on him. Up until that point, I had stopped caring when characters were in danger because the writing led me to believe everyone was safe. There’s a way to build suspense, and every writer understands that, a majority of the time, less is more, so I don’t get how this went so unbelievably wrong.
The characterization is also so weirdly off. In what world would John “Somebody has to make the enemy scared of the dark. We get dirty, and the world stays clean.” Price not immediately take a kill shot when he has Makarov in custody? Soap was ready to kill every person he talked to in this game, so why did he let Makarov live? Why would Gaz advocate for giving Shepherd a gun after his multiple betrayals that he shows no remorse for? Why would Farah continue to begrudgingly work with Graves after learning about Las Almas? Why is Makarov over-explaining his plans to his victims?
I’m not saying I expect Shakespeare-level writing from a Call of Duty game, but I expect something better than whatever this is.
I don’t know who Activision hired for their writing team, but there are so many instances here where I almost have to believe that they may not have hired one at all.
Overall Thoughts
I wish I had a time machine so I could go back to who I was before I watched this campaign. This whole game was nothing but a DLC lazily stretched to two hours with assets taken from other games and a storyline that was slapped together using blindfolds, a dartboard, and too much alcohol. Please do not use your money to buy this game. Your money would be much better spent donating to help Palestine.

Personality and Traits
Damien comes across as a very laidback and open guy, very easy to approach and talk to. He is a pretty big jokester, likes to crack a few jokes here and there to make people laugh or lighten the mood.
Though in the heat of battle, he has known to be brutal towards his enemies, sparing no mercy and absolutely no time - getting a job done quickly and efficiently. He isn’t afraid to speak his mind when needed, even if it may be more emotionally driven.
Nevertheless, towards those he likes, he is a very caring and loyal person. Ride or die buddy. It’s pretty damn obvious too, he’ll never stop bugging someone he cares for no matter where they are in the world. He can read their emotions like a book too; he can tell when someone’s feeling down and will try his best to cheer them up.
ESFP-T (MBTI)
Damien’s also the sort of guy to take care of others but not himself. Truthfully, after he lost Daniel, he found it very hard to cope. Thus, he took on Daniel’s role of looking after others.
Damien is also really good with any sort of trade work which he learned whilst growing up on his family farm. You need an electrician, mechanic, or welder? He’s your guy.
Skills/Specialisations
Like any other commando, Damien has undergone a multitude of training, preparing him for anything and everything. Alone or with his squad. A few of these include:
Demolitions and Breaching
CQC/Melee Attacks
Wilderness Survival
Long Range Recon
HALO / HAHO (including water insertion)
Roping (aid climbing)
Hostage Rescue
First Aid
And so on. In his own time, Damien frequently trains in Jiu-Jitsu, earning his purple belt, further enhancing his CQC.
Biography
Coming from a family of farmers, Damien spent most of his childhood living and working out on his family farm in rural New South Wales. Throughout his younger years, he was constantly harassed/bullied by his drug addicted older brother, Thomas. Young Damien was no match for him but luckily enough, his older sister had his back at all times. Thomas would eventually runaway and was never seen again – presumed dead.
As he grew up, Damien attended an all-boys boarding school in Sydney where he met Daniel Greenhill – his best friend for many years to come. He never really excelled at any subjects other than wood/metalwork and P.E., so when it came down to his final ATAR exams he absolutely flunked them. Not wanting to continue studying or returning to farm life, Damien worked the odd job here and there to make ends meet.
Whilst working one of his jobs alongside his buddy, Daniel had dropped that he had met a special forces operator by the name of Jackson Wyatt and suggested that he should meet with him.
After hearing all about Wyatt’s career as a Commando, Damien was sold on the idea; so much so that at the age of 19, he enlisted into the Australian Army after being trained by Wyatt himself much to his parent's disapproval. He served two years as an infantryman within 3RAR before completing the Commando selection course and earning his green beret, where he was placed in Lachlan’s B Company. Turns out he had a real knack for this sort of thing as he continued to undergo a range of further Commando specialist courses after initial Commando training.
Since then, he’s done multiple tours to Urzikstan, Afghanistan and Iraq where he was introduced to Captain Price (via Lachlan) and Benjamin “Otter” Lee (via Wyatt).
Damien has since then worked alongside Captain Price closely thanks to Lachlan’s close connection to him, particularly in Urzikstan, but isn’t opposed to flying out to lend a hand wherever.
Modern Warfare I
During 2019, Damien is first seen in the UK on a training exercise with the SAS before he is swiftly sent to London’s Piccadilly Circus to assist against AQ’s terrorist attack, alongside Gaz. Afterwards, he joins the SAS Anti-terror wing along with Price and Gaz to clear a house in Camden, full of AQ affiliates in search of any information related to the Piccadilly attack and The Wolf.
Damien returns to Urzikstan alongside 2CDO REGT, where not long after he is called to assist Captain Price, Gaz and the others at the US Embassy, also aiding to save the Ambassador’s Assistant, Stacy. Following this, he follows the rest of the team back to the ambassador’s residence only to find the Wolf had been extracted by AQ forces already. Furthermore, he is seen briefly helping SAS and CIA on the night raid to locate The Wolf at his compound.
2020/2021
After the events of MW19, Damien spent this time on rotation in TAG-E, though was later sent back to Urzikstan on an emergency deployment to help aid in the assassination of an AQ leader. This proved to be a struggle. They were given little to no information and thus were subsequently ambushed, leading to the death of best friend, Daniel Greenhill, who tried to pull an injured Damien out of enemy fire.
After the funeral, Damien spent his time spiralling down. He became depressed, not leaving his Sydney apartment for days at a time and ultimately almost being discharged from his duties. Though thanks to his Captain and two close friends - Lachlan, Sparrow and Aly - they helped him find the means to work towards getting better and soon enough, he was ready enough to go back to his duties.
Modern Warfare II
In 2022, Damien is first seen undercover at Café Gracht alongside Captain Price where they wait for representatives from both AQ and Las Almas Cartel to show up. After seeing Gaz tranquillise the cartel member, they all move to enter Laswell’s vehicle and leave the area swiftly.
Later on he returns to Urzikstan, where he is again enlisted for help by Price to rescue Laswell from AQ along with ULF fighters.
Modern Warfare III
Damien spends this time going home to Australia for a little while before being sent on another tour around the Middle East. It is in Urzikstan that he (and 2CDO REGT) work alongside Phillip Graves and his Shadow Company, unaware of the events in Las Almas concerning Los Vaqueros and TF141. He is only made aware when seeing his friend Sparrow again, where she rips the SC patch off of him and promptly has a go at Damien for wearing that thing around them, explaining the full story.
Trivia
EDM and rock/metal music is what he listens to most.
He is a Mclaren F1 fan, as well as being a big fan of the AFL team: Collingwood Football Club (Magpies).
Absolute gym junkie. Has an extensive collection of pre-workout, protein powder and creatine stored in his apartment (and snuck onto base). If he wasn’t a Commando, he’d probably be a bodybuilder or athlete of some sort.
Damien keeps a scrapbook that he fills with stickers, trinkets, thoughts or drawings from various places he has visited.
During his downtime in Sydney, he likes to go café-hopping! He’s a big foodie. Also likes to take long walks during the night, overlooking the Harbour Bridge and generally just taking in the city lights. It's one of his favourite things to do to ease his mind.
Thanks to Daniel, Damien is pretty good at speaking Indonesian and really enjoys Indonesian food! His favourites are nasi campur and soda gembira. He’d mix Indonesian and English together to gossip about something to Daniel. After they both graduated high school, Daniel took Damien to visit Jakarta for the first time and he loved it! Also owns a couple batik shirts.
Drives a 79 series Landcruiser. His number plate is “WHITLOCK”.
Does jiu-jitsu and is currently at a purple belt.
Frequently visits Daniel’s grave when he has the time. He sits there for hours just catching him up on every little event or thought that has happened, as if he were there to listen like the old times. Frequently catches up with Daniel's family too, they've taken him in like he's their son.
In the past, Damien has never had a good relationship - they’ve all either cheated on him or ghosted him. He gave up looking for a partner even though he longed to have a family of his own.

You Broken?
Tumblr media
Pairing - Price X Female OC “Tank”
Summary - Angst, haha this is where it all starts an the story behind the matching scars.
A/N - This is based around the first games missions it all kicks off haha so before Ghost and Soap so it's just MC, Kyle, Price, Farah and Alex in this one. No smut things are implied but nothing nsfw haha
ULF - Urzikstan Liberation Force
Laswell is a bit of a bitch in this game also telling John no a lot of time, like really give the man his airstrike woman or I will!
Going to be slowly nudging this story line into my Mc codename “Tank” I know its not sexy etc but who cares these days! It’s based around my Name being Tiger and the Tiger Tank was one of the most feared Tanks during WW2 nearly unstoppable, but it wasn’t without its flaws and needed constant maintenance (Don’t we all) so yeh it's a bit long, but as always comments and feedback welcome
Warnings - Angst. Language, Age gap Price (39) reader (25), Mutual Pining, Violence, Weapons war/fighting stuff basically, Fluff
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the Call of duty characters- Only Tank
Sakhra, Uzikstan, Embassy Compound armory
“I think I’m missing an ammo pack?… You got a spare Tank?” - Kyle asked patting himself down, you removed one ammo pack and handed it to him.
“It probably went missing when you two fell out the Helo”- Price grumbled. You looked at him in disbelief. He continued to pack hits kit.
“When we fell out? You fell out first? It was hit…I just about got my rappel connected!” - You tried to control your temper, but he wasn’t listening to you just continued to pack and plan. Something was wrong; you could feel it in your gut. Was he mad that you didn’t act fast enough to connect to the line or that Kyle risked his life by pulling you onto his as the helicopter spun out? You didn't know, but what you did know was that you would go mad before you knew why…
Price knew he was being harsh, but he was annoyed more so at himself than you, he knew he should have double-checked you were connected in, but you always snapped at him when he did. “You don't check Kyle!” He heard it ring in his ears.
He should have just checked and taken the tongue-lashing later. The one time he didn’t check was the time the helo gets hit by a strike…fuck he could have lost both of you…He zoned back in you were still banging around, packing your kit and loading your vest with flash-bangs. Price notices that one of your glow sticks has been damaged and is leaking green liquid down your pants, you must have touched it as you now have green marks all over your face. He could feel a slight smirk pull at his mouth. You snap your head up at him, oh if looks could kill he’d be dead and buried.
“What’s funny? You finally lost your mind old man?” - You regret the words as soon as they leave your mouth, but you were mad. The old man hit him more than it should, but to you, he probably is an old man. He was 15 years your senior. He had already served a year in the army when you were fresh out of your mother's womb, but why did it hurt him to hear you say it out loud?
“Old man, eh?…” - he laughed, and you felt a shudder crawl up your spine and over your scalp. He was laughing at you, you thought.
“Yeh, old man! You are always on at me for this and that I don't even know what I've done wrong half the time! But that before, with the helo being shot down I didn't know I wasn't connected in right…you usually always double-check me…I was lucky that it held and Kyle gripped me to his!” - You slammed your fist on the desk, your eyes pricking slightly. Price looked incensed; his neck was red, his eyes boring into you. He was livid.
“YEH wanna know why I always check you're connected in right!? Coz I'm your fucking Captain and I don't know what I’d do if anything happened to you……” - Price was right in your face and as the words sunk he corrected himself.
“If anything happened to you or Kyle…I'm your Captain your BOTH my responsibility…whether you like it or not! I should have checked you were connected in, right that's on me” - He backed up, returning to his kit.
Why do you always get him like this? You were shocked at his admission, he's mad because he thinks it's his fault for not checking your line. You searched his face for more, the pit in your stomach pulling you in on yourself with guilt. The silence was broken by Alex handing you a tissue.
“You have glow stick on your face…”- He looked over at Price who was still looking over maps and his kit. You had almost forgotten about the three other people in the room, all three of them looking at you and Price. Your little domestic. Your Captain admitting he cares.
“Parents eh?” - Alex gave you a sympathetic look. Kyle laughed.
“The way these two bicker it's more like an old married couple…sometimes…” - He stopped as you shot him a dirty look. You tried to wipe the glow stick off your face but the tissue was rough and dry it wouldn’t budge.
“Here…use this to wet it, should come right off” - Price handed you a bottle of water. His tone was off, the pit sinking you in deeper.
“Thanks…” - You took it your fingers resting on his for a second too long, but he didn't pull away he simply looked at you, his eyes crinkling slightly with a small smile. You returned it. There, a silent “all forgiven, all forgotten” you had lost count of how many you two had shared.
—————————————————
Darus, Urzikstan
Price wasn't sure about you going with Alex and Farah to sit outpost on the Highway of Death as Farah had called it, he wanted you clearing house in the town with him where he could keep an eye on you. But Farah had reassured him she would keep you “safe” not that she thought you needed it, she took every opportunity to recruit you to the ULF, and Price answered for you every time with a “NO, Farah”, she still tried it though.
“I will keep her with me John no need to worry about your little Tank she is more than capable of looking after herself” - Farah patted the older man on the shoulder. She sensed something more but decided not to pry. He reluctantly let you go. He knew Farah was right; he didn't need to worry about you, so why did he? You waved at him from the back of the pickup, but before he could wave back, you had turned your head to Alex, laughing at something he had said. Smug git, he thought. Was he jealous?
“Boss, you ready? Wheels up in 2” - Kyle shouted over, Price made a mental note to ask you later what was so funny. Until then, he had to get his head in the game.
——————————————————
Highway of Death
You waved at Price. He hadn’t wanted you to go with Alex and Farah, and you knew why, You, him and Kyle worked well, effective as he put it, but you knew Farah needed your demolition skills with some of the charge rig ups so you volunteered. He wasn't happy about it but he couldn't exactly say no he had more than enough help with Kyle and Team Bravo. As you waved, Alex started laughing at you.
“You look like a kid on their first trip to summer camp saying bye to their parents!” - He was rolling up a cigarette, laughing as he licked it shut. You laughed at the thought, you turned to see if Price was waving back, but he had turned his back.
“He did wave back I saw him” - Farah patted your knee, she could see it comforted you to know. You smiled back at her.
“He is a good man, Tank. I trust him with my life…that is why I have promised to keep you safe and return you to him, as I fear if I do not, he will cut that life short” - She gently nudged you and you simply nodded with a smile.
“He’d say the same to you about Kyle, his other golden child” - You laugh, trying to ease the insinuation in her statement.
“Maybe you are right, but I don't think he sees you as his child. I think he sees you as something more” - Her words sink into you and she realizes she has completely fogged your mind.
“But what do I know eh? I’ve been out here fighting for my country don’t listen to me” - She put her hand out for Alex’s lit cigarette. Alex was just as confused as you and handed it over, blowing the smoke out his nose. You needed to think clearly. Price was just worried because this whole thing was a shit show and he was a man of habit. He liked you and Kyle at his side, that was all.
———————————————————
Things had gone south fast not only was Farah’s own brother the one who stole the Russian Gas but you were now dragging yourself to the bunker, the gas creeping into your lungs, choking you, ripping at your throat. Where was Price? He had radioed, saying he was 5 mins away. It was Alex that pulled you in pushing a Gas mask over your face it was useless some of the gas had already gotten in.
“Breathe Tank breathe…Shit!” - He was trying to keep you conscious while also trying to stay upright himself. You spotted Farah on the ground, and you gave Alex a look of panic.
“She’s fine…she breathing…your hyperventilating though you need to take slow deep breaths please or else Price will have my head on a stake…” - Alex guided you to take deep breaths with him, you tried but your body was fighting you with every intake of breath. Your hands balled up into fists on Alex’s chest, Fuck you were panicking, spiraling out of control where was Price? You couldn't get a handle on your breathing, your brain going static, you couldn't keep your eyes open, but then you noticed a shift in the light behind Alex. You felt yourself being pulled forward into someone’s body, the gas mask being ripped off, hands on either side of your face, the bump of a forehead hitting yours.
“Breath, for me please on my count 1…2…3…” - Price had you now guiding you back from the edge. With the few sharp breaths you took, you could smell him, Kerosene, cigars and warm sand…his presence guided you back, his blue eyes never leaving yours, your lungs were on fire but your breathing was somewhat back to normal, heart rate still high though Price could tell his hands slipped down to your pulse point.
“You broken? Had me worried there for a sec…” - He feigned a smile for you, but he was reeling inside. He still had you pressed forehead to forehead so you were a little blurry to him but he could see the relief in your eyes.
“No not broken…I'm good now your here…Thanks, Cap…”- Your voice burned but you needed to get the words out, you needed to tell him you were grateful, that you needed him, that you never wanted to leave his side again. But thanks, Cap was all you could manage.
He sat there with your for a few moments longer than needed, but he knew you needed it. He Promised himself he wasn't letting you go from his side again.
—————————————————————
Barkov’s Chemical Factory,
Borjomi, Georgia
You had pushed yourselves to the main pipeline and fought through heavy resistance, you were now here ready to plant the charges, you could taste the end, and you were where you need to be right next to your Captain, but it wasn't over, not yet, you stood watch over the stairwell that lead up to the location you had cleared house, but some stragglers always remain. You glanced over at Price. He was handing Kyle the remaining two charges. He clocked you looking over and winked.
******
Kyle had asked you back at base about your plans when the job was done. You had noticed Price listening in on your conversation.
“Don’t know might go see my family, not really thought about it, you?” - You were being truthful. You hadn’t thought about what you were going to do.
“You should head my way, your only a 3hr drive away…you could get the train or I could come pick you up…both of you…take you for a pint some lunch, get you two city kids out into the country haha” - Price didn't look over at you, instead, he inspected his zippo lighter it wouldn't spark, he also was regretting the invitation immediately why would they want to come spend time with him out in the sticks, when they both had families and friends to see maybe partners who missed them.
He knew Kyle was speaking to some girl from Essex, but he had never actually asked you if you had anyone and to be fair it wasn't his place to ask, who was he kidding, of course, you did he wasn't a fool he noticed how people acted around you…those poor Marines back at the US embassy, one of them dropped his radio at the sight of you, when you picked it up and handed it to him flashing a smile, your best smile Price half expected the Marines head to fall off!
Of course you had someone.
“Yeh ok, I’d like that actually, will have to look at train times…but I'm up for that” - You meant it. Price was stunned.
“Yeh we should make a weekend of it Boss, sure you’ve got a spare room, if not me and you can top and tail and Tank can take the couch!” - Kyle was laughing at the thought.
“Or you two can take the couch I'll have the Captain's bed!”- you were mocking Kyle's laugh. It was a four-bed house but the image of you in his bed flashed across Price’s mind. You tangled up in his sheets, messy hair, sleepy eyes, a croaky “Good mornin” and that little half smile you give when you haven’t had enough kip. He blinked it away but stored it for later.
“What about that girl your seeing from Essex?” - the question was loaded. Price hoped it got him the answer he wanted from you.
“Nah she’ll be ok…what about you? you got anyone waiting by the window?” - Kyle looked over at you smirking. He knew the answer was No.
“Very funny Kyle…but no the only person waiting for me by the window will be the family dog!” - You threw your gloves at him. Price was shocked you were single, He didn't have chance to comment as you and Kyle where now planning the entire weekend at his place between you.
“Wait, did you say you would drive up to get us? I'm down south?…” - Kyle was doing the miles in his head.
“Well then you can get the train Garrick, I'm only up the road” - You glanced over at Price who was just happy you were both up for it.
“You two sort it out amongst yourselves, I'm only picking one of you up and if I'm honest Kyle I think it's not gonna be you!” - Price chuckled. His lighter finally sparked to life. He heard your little laugh at the small victory.
“Yeh nice one boss, good luck with a 3-hour road trip with this one, I bet you £20 you leave her on the hard shoulder of the M60 after 1 hour” - Kyle was smirking at you now.
“Nice try, Kyle, I'm a fantastic road trip partner, don’t worry, Boss I've got better taste in music than Kyle and better snack options. You won't regret your choice” - You saluted him laughing, giving him your best smile.
“Well, as long as you don't get car sick and don't mind me smoking in the car, we are good” - He saluted you back and winked. It made your heart skip a beat. You were looking forward to it. You really were.
******
“Nearly finished over here Tank” - Price walked over to you, you had your back to him. He was about 2 feet away when he saw the glint in the distance then the red dot on his chest. Before he could react, you had reached back to shove him out of the way, the bullet ripped through your chest and into his shoulder. As he fell back, he tried to reach out to you to pull you down and into him, but you had fallen to the left.
“NO NO NO TANK! KYLE GET DOWN! WATCHER 1 WE NEED EVAC NOW! SNIPER…NORTH EAST…TANK IS DOWN I REPEAT TANK IS DOWN!” - Price was shouting down the comms, Kyle took cover behind one of the vents, he aimed with his Uzi, bang.
“Sniper down, Captain…We need to move, charges are set…” - Kyle made his way over, Price was already up on his feet, making his way to you, his right arm stiff and refusing to cooperate, but it didn't stop him from pulling you up and into him. What had you done, you stupid girl?
“Kate, we need immediate evac, Tank is down,  unconscious…I can't…” - Price was almost pleading with Laswell.
“…No can do John, can't get a bird in the air near those charges…can't risk it…you need to get her down to base level we’ll have medic evac waiting…I'm sorry, John” - Kyle could hear the regret in her voice and felt the anger and desperation rolling off Price.
”FUCK……Speak to me Tank…please…can you hear me?” - He was desperately searching for an answer from you any sign you could hear him. He had all but forgotten his own wound instead looking over your shoulder a clean shot, good that would heal ok. Kyle applied pressure to it for him, he touched the back of your head it was damp and sticky. Shit.
You felt cold, numb, but suddenly you felt an immense pressure on your body, you were moving, there the pressure was coming from your chest and head, you were being held tight to someone, you tried to flutter your eyes open a flash of blue, then white then back to black. The smell of Gun oil and tobacco filled your nose. Price. He was close, did he have hold of you? Was he ok?
“Kid, please open your eyes again…look at me…we are getting you back to base I just need you to tell me you can hear me…I promise you're going to be ok I'm going to make sure of it…” - His voice was strained. You remember what happened now…you noticed the shooter seen the red dot and that it wasn't on you. You knew Price was standing behind you, it was on him the shot was meant for him. You didn't even think. You just shoved him out of the way. You could hear Kyle, his voice was soft, but he wasn't talking to you. He was talking to Price, reassuring him, consoling him.
“Cap, we need to get her moved, these charges need to go off also, your bleeding a lot boss…Tank would kill me if she woke up only to find out I’d let you bleed out…” - Kyle patted him on the back, helping him move you into Kyle’s arms.
“Easy with her Kyle…We’re getting you out of here kid…I won't let anything happen to you…I promise…” -Price squeezed your hand his face lighting up when your squeezed it back.
“I know…Cap…does this mean…I get your bed…when we come round?” - You gave him a weak smile. It was all he needed.
“Kid if you make it out of this and back to me you can have the whole house” - Price let out a sigh of relief only letting go of your hand when Kyle turned to make his way down the stairs with you. Price followed.
——————————————————
Base camp Med wing, Urzikstan
Price hadn’t left your side, Kyle had to force him to get his shoulder seen to, but he insisted they check him over in the same room as you stating it would be easier and less combative. Price never took his eyes off your monitor.
“She’s going to be fine Captain Price, a full recovery, bright young thing like her she will bounce right back…you are more than welcome to stay here with her but she is heavily sedated” - The Doctor gave you the once over before leaving Price.
He adjusted the sling his right arm was in, he would wear it till you woke up, he knew you would go mad if he didn't. Price looked at your face, you looked so small in the bed. You were covered in wires. The sooner you were out the better, he thought, he ran his hand over his beard. He knew you were sedated and probably on another planet, but he still spoke to you as if you could hear him.
“I know this great little pub up in the hills near me, cracking views I know you're going to love it kid…” - Price smiled, he leaned over you kissing the top of your head. He sat himself down in the chair by your bedside, pulling his hat down over his eyes. 5 mins he’ll give himself then he’ll check on you again. He could rest easy knowing you were where you belonged at his side.

Someone posted on TikTok the bios of the new MW3 operators, including Vladmirs. You have to squint and pause the video a lot to read it, but here it is: https://vm.tiktok.com/ZGJcKKotP/
my actual hero, ilysm 🫶 i’m gonna go ahead and post makarov’s bio for anyone curious, since it’s hard to read in the vid lol:
“Vladimir Makarov was born before the fall of the Soviet Union in the suburbs of Moscow. As the son of a high-ranking politician within the Russian government, Makarov watched the Soviet Union crumble, taking his father with it. The bright-eyed, intelligent boy woke up one morning to his father’s hanging body. Makarov came to despise his father’s weakness, as well as the failures of the Soviet Union which had brought it about. He vowed not to make the same mistakes and so began his lifelong obsession.
In 1998, Makarov joined the Russian military at the age of 18. A natural soldier with a talent for strategy, his reputation turned sour when he joined forces with an unsanctioned rogue army to maintain control of Urzikstan. When the ULF rose and took back their home, Makarov experienced his first failure.
Recognizing traces of the Soviet Union’s failures once again, Makarov pleaded with his superiors to reclaim Urzikstan, disgusted by the national mockery the ULF had made of Russian power. But the Kremlin, who had not sanctioned the attack on Urzikstan to begin with, refused, stripping Makarov of all military honors. Seeking justice, Makarov joined the Konni group and plotted an attack against Verdansk to get Russia’s attention. Captured by Captain Price and Task Force 141, Makarov was handed to Russian authorities and sentenced to life in a maximum-security gulag.
Now a liberated man, Makarov plans to resume his operations against Urzikstan and its allies. Determined to redeem himself and Russia for its past failures, Makarov will only stop at the full reclamation or annihilation of Urzikstan; and if the Kremlin’s too cowardly to play their hand, he’ll gladly force it upon the rest of the world.”
…dude’s blaming urzikstan for his joint self esteem-daddy issues, damn 😭
i feel so… conflicted lol. obviously he’s an asshole, that doesn’t need to be restated a million times, but i do feel sympathy for him as a child. he never stood a chance at a “normal” life— he was born into those insane beliefs. as an adult, he’s the only one to blame for still holding those beliefs, but it’s pretty clear that his child-mind created a link between the soviet union falling and his father dying; ergo, if he can fix the cause, he can “fix” the death. i get that.
OG makarov and reboot are both referenced as obsessive and compulsive… “developed severe OCD after his father’s death” anyone? no? i’m just projecting? understood. 🫡
i could go into far more detail about my thoughts on his backstory, but this is already a long-ass post, and i’m a little worried about looking like i’m sympathizing with him outside of the childhood trauma. like i said, he is at fault for his actions as an adult. he knows better. it’s a very interesting change from the original, though. this may just be me, but he almost seems… less intimidating? not in a bad way, i think they’ve made him feel more human and less like a caricature of evilness.
this is also 100% influencing how i write him in bloodsport lol. mmm, character analysis…

Han we get a first meet with Oswald and the 141! :)
Sure thing!
Since I wanted to make a series on this anyways, I'll just put down their original thoughts on Oswald and release an actual story about it later.
Price:
• Price knew Oswald the longest. They first met during the Urzikstan Prison Raid. During that time, Oswald served as a Sargeant under Captain Oscar "Two-Bit" Watts in the Delta-Force.
• Though their meeting was short, they served together again in a joint opperation assist a year later during a Cartel raid.
• Price was impressed with Oswalds Stealth and ability to clear buildings swiftly and precisely.
Gaz:
• He thought of Oswald as another soldier at first. He was shocked about how Price knew Oswald and was so fond of her. Though, that didn't affect him much.
• After hearing about Shadow Company's betrayal, Gaz was suspicious of Oswald, keeping an eye out for any hint of possible hostility.
• After the events of Las Almas, Gaz did apologize to Oswald and they formed a nice friendship while on their way home.
Soap:
• Was confused and curious about Oswald at first.
• Secretly would ask Laswell about Oswald since he didn't really understand her purpose in assisting them. Also wanted to know about the Force she was captain of, but Laswell shut him down on the topic.
• After Shadow Company's betrayal, he assumed Oswald was in on it, till Ghost told him otherwise.
• On their way back from Las Almas, due to how comfortable he became around Oswald, he asked Oswald about the specifics of her job, which he did recieve some answers but was respectful to the classified questions.
Ghost:
• Surprisingly enough, Ghost also knew Oswald previous to Las Almas.
• Met Oswald while she was a Lieutenant. The F-0-Z served as assist to the SAS.
• Wasnt personally assigned with her, but ran into her enough times to understand the gist of her skills.
• Impressed with her stealth and sniping skills.
• They liked to exchange jokes from time to time.
Other mentions:
Farah:
• Met Oswald during the Urzikstan Prison Raid. Was thankful for the fact that Oswald went on the front lines in assisting their liberation.
• Oswald did assist her from time to time in Urzikstan, creating a strong companionship between them.
• During the death of Oswald captain, Oscar "Two-Bit" Watts, Farah did help Oswald however she could with the fundamentals of being a captain.
Alejandro:
• Knew Oswald from previous Cartel missions.
• Alejandro found Oswald as a capable and strong captain and was quick to form pleasantries with her, which resulted in a quick friendship and trust between her and Los Vaqueros.
• Did seperate her from Shadow Company, which she was thankful for.
• Often would talk about Hawai'i and Mexico, which they were shock about how close their cultures were.
Rudy:
• He was thankful for the amount of assistance Oswald provided in Las Almas. Due to her previous assistance in Cartel raid missions, he respected her a lot.
• Did believe she betrayed them with Shadow Company, but after she explained herself, he quickly apologized and moved on.
• Still thinks of her fondly and respectfully.

currently thinking about a military-esque “meet cute” with gaz. maybe you’re a liberation fighter in the deserts of urzikstan, combating the russian occupation alongside formerly captive troopers— or maybe you’re restraining attacks from drug cartels and corrupt pmcs with deserted squaddies. either way— kyle garrick is true militant, loyal like a dog. sure he often sticks out like a sore thumb, a fresh-faced stripling, armed to the teeth. he is no more devoted than a grizzled veteran. but his misplaced temper is no different then to those who have been shaped by war.
regardless, your shared introduction isn’t a ordinarily known romance. kyle garrick stands proud amongst his fellow soldiers and captain, he is proud to represent his force, but you can almost see right through him. it’s almost as if your looking through a mirror— because in actuality, you are not very different from him. the feeling of courage and assurance is powerful, it’s easy to get high off— but you will still always feel that lingering sense of solitude.
so when you lock eyes with the sergeant, postures straightened high and broad like your both trying to armour yourselves with the truth, there is a recognition between you. maybe you can share that journey together.

Hi! This is a weird ask probably but I want to draw the 141 boys + Alejandro and Rudy + Farah and Alex. I found ideas of civilian clothes for all of them except Farah and I’m really stuck. Maybe you have some ideas regarding her casual wardrobe? Could you post some pics if you find any? Thank you so much and I’m sorry if this is too much 😓
Nah, haha, ur good. TBH, I haven't really put too much thought into her wardrobe until just now
Tumblr media
Okay, so I still think she dresses in the sort of militant esque aesthetic when in civvies. She is like THE leader of the Urzikstan Liberation Force, so she's still going to dress important. It's stated that people look up to her
She's also 30, so she's going to obviously dress her age, lol
Tumblr media
We do see in the game, though, that's she's not super modest, I still think she's not going to go out wearing anything too showy.
Tumblr media
Like, this is how she dresses for missions and I think she sticks to that. (Also, I definitely think she's the lesbian that like makes a big show of pulling off whatever baggy jacket she's wearing to reveal one of those tank tops underneath. Am I also that lesbian? Maybe.)
Honestly, think Ziva David from NCIS. She dressed in a very Military Style aesthetic, even on the street.
Her and Laswell definitely talk about where they buy their pants from, lol
Tumblr media
Also please take a moment to appreciate my favorite picture of her. God, she is a beautiful woman and I am so gay

Whumptober Day 2 Delirium & Reality
Rating Mature CW's/Tags Major Character Injuries, broken bones, being partially buried, happy ending Characters Farah Karim, Alex Keller, Nikolai Summary
She knows there's no way he survived. No one could have. She only hopes to find a piece of him, his singed dog tags, smoldering scarf, or even a weapon. Just something of his to remember.
Farah has always considered herself a fairly pragmatic person.
Perhaps as a child, before the attack on her home, there was innocence and naivety, but these days?
Killing for survival does that to you.
So when she convinces Nikolai to take her to the rubble of Barakov's chemical weapons facility, she doesn't even entertain the idea of finding Alex alive.
She knows there's no way he survived.
No one could have.
She only hopes to find a piece of him, his singed dog tags, smoldering scarf, or even a weapon. Just something of his to remember.
So when she finds him, unconscious and trapped, a gasmask haphazardly slapped over his face, all she can do for a moment is stare.
It shouldn't be possible.
Yet here he is.
She thinks for a moment he still might be dead, breathing so shallowly it can't be heard or seen. But the moment she begins to shift the rubble, his eyes snap open, face contorting in agony as he cries wordlessly in pain .
It's a fight after that because he's not in his right mind, confused and mindless with pain and all manner of infection from the lacerations and burns across his body. On more than one occasion, a Farah has to pin him in place as Nikolai, cursing and spitting in Russian, unburies him.
By the time they get him to the helo, he's exhausted himself, limp in their arms as they lay him out on the floor and Nik practically bolts into the cockpit.
They can't go to a nearby hospital, and the only allied military base close to them is too far.
So they take him to Urzikstan.
Farah does what she can to stabilize him, and spends the rest of the flight simply holding his unconscious body, sobbing silently to herself as she cradles his head and begs him to survive.
He wakes again, about an hour before they land, reaching up and curling one shakey, burnt hand against her cheek. He mumbles something about being dead and seeing angels, eyes hazed over with fever as he attempts to wipe away her tears with his thumb.
She simply holds him tighter, presses a chaste kiss to his sweaty, bloodied forehead and urges him to sleep again, that it's for the best.
They get him to one of the Liberation Force’s strongholds, and he promptly flatlines.
From there, it is nothing but a struggle.
Nikolai has to drag her out, because she needs to be with him .
She doesn't see him for five days.
It takes them five days to cut off his useless, managed left leg, cauterizing the stump and filling their building with the smell of burnt flesh for days. It takes 5 days for them to find every broken bone and properly set it, five days to stitch him up and pump him full of transfusions and antibiotics.
And he isn't even awake yet.
It's another two days before he wakes, confused and lost amongst the haze of fever and dying infections.
But he still calls out for Farah, and in order to placate the sick man, they finally call her in to see him. He's weak and exhausted, his face wane and sweaty, but he smiles, mumbles something she can't hear as he reaches a trembling hand for hers.
It's then that she knows this situation is real, that against all odds, Alex Keller had survived .
She reaches out and tangles her fingers in his as she settles into the chair and watches him brighten, her own face splitting in the first smile she's had in months.
"Welcome back, Alex."

As Grim as the Reaper | Simon 'GHOST' Riley PREQUEL
Ghost x Reader, Graves x Reader
CHAPTER EIGHT
Tumblr media
Phillip Graves x AFAB!Reader!OC 18+ MINORS DNI! t.w // angst, mental health, language, violence, death, sexual themes/SMUT, military inaccuracies, language inaccuracies (google translate).
As Grim as the Reaper: Masterlist
Standing atop the building as the sun set, you looked over the city of Urzikstan.
After liberating the airbase, it was quiet...peaceful.
It looked beautiful.
"You have a really beautiful country, Farah." You spoke quietly.
The two of you, being the only women, had been killing time and getting to know each other better between updates from Laswell and the other liberation forces on ground. You'd found that you had a lot in common, and it was bonding you well.
Farah was a woman you would want in your corner; strong, beautiful, courageous. A natural born leader.
"Thank you, Reaper-"
You stopped her, pulling your mask down to offer her a smile, "Call me (Y/N), please."
It almost felt wrong that you were coming across as distrusting, when she'd saved your life earlier that day. So you showed her your face, and gave her your real name. She seemed to appreciate your openness, flashing a wide smile back at you before going back to rolling her cigarette.
"May I ask why you wear that?"
"To keep my family safe. Hides my identity enough that they can't be linked to me. Which I've found was a smart thing to do, when your brother is Captain Price."
She laughed, then, shaking her head, "I thought you seemed familiar. I think it is the accent."
"Yeah, it's not very subtle, is it?" You laughed back.
Your conversation was interrupted by the crackling of the radio, Farah's forces confirming that AQ had taken over the hospital, and were using the civilians there as human shields to protect someone, or something.
You stood watching the streets below, as Alex and Farah spoke.
"Where will you go when this is over?" Farah asked him.
He sighed, hands moving to rest on his vest, "Wherever they send me."
"You don't choose?"
"Not exactly." Alex scoffed.
"Well, you're a brave man, Alex."
You stifled a chuckle as you saw his cheeks redden, and he cleared his throat, "Uh, yeah. Thanks, cuz."
"Rest up." Farah smiled, "Tomorrow is a big day."
"What about you and your men?" He asked.
"We'll be here until sunrise." Farah said, taking her position and raising her sniper to her eye.
It was silent for a moment, you looking between the two of them as Alex stared at the back of Farah's head, a small smile playing on his lips.
"I'll cover the open corner."
Farah turned, raising an eyebrow to you as you both watched him do exactly that. Squatting down in the dust and resting his gun on the broken bit of wall in front of him.
She smiled, and turned back to her weapon.
"Is he always like that?" She whispered to you.
You giggled, standing up and brushing off your trousers, "Unfortunately, yes, but you get used to it."
With that, you left her to her thoughts, not missing the way she looked back to Alex and smiling to herself once more.
How cute.
You made your way over, kicking a few rocks out of the way to clear a nice area for you to set up next to him.
"Hey, Casanova." You nudged him as you sat down. "Here's a wee bit of advice, best friend to best friend - maybe don't refer to the women you'd like to sleep with as 'cuz'."
You snorted as you used your fingers to imply air quotes around the word, still in disbelief that he was this incapable of flirting.
He groaned, rolling his head back on his neck, "Yeah I know- wait I don't want to...oh fuck off, angel. God, I sounded like a jackass..."
"Yes, yes you did. But I reckon you're well in there."
"You think?" He said, and the hopeful tone in his voice melted your heart.
"Oh yeah. She likes you."
You wiggled your brows at him, and he pushed you away playfully, the two of you giggling like schoolgirls.
But Farah was right, tomorrow was a big day, and you needed rest.
Tomorrow, down goes the Wolf.
Dust and smoke billowed around you in the town, being kicked up and disturbed by the various vehicles zooming around you.
You sat in the tailgate of a truck with Hadir, Farah, and Alex, waiting on the support that Laswell was sending you.
"Echo 3-1...?" A voice said.
"Call me Alex."
You turned, seeing a group of marines approaching you. A group you'd come to know very well over your time in the US; the Demon Dogs.
"Sergeant Griggs," You spoke, dropping down in front of the man, "You and your Dogs are the best Laswell had to offer?"
"All day, Sergeant Price. Didn't expect to see you here, gorgeous." He flirted, "Commander Graves know you're here?"
"I don't report to Phillip Graves." You rolled your eyes with a smile.
This made Griggs chuckle, "Nah, but he sure is protective over you. Think he might have a thing for you."
"I'll say." Alex butted in, causing you to elbow him in the side.
Griggs smirked, and then turned to Farah, "No locals on this one. Not my call."
With a hand to her shoulder, you bid goodbye to Farah, before being pulled forward, taking up the left side of Griggs, Alex on the right.
"Demon Dogs, time to take this shit to the fan!" Griggs called, rallying up him men.
You laughed as they whooped and jeered around you, making perfect formation as you swept through the streets.
You and Alex were set on disarming the wire traps that had been scattered around in an attempt to slow your ascent on the hospital. IEDs blew around you, bullets raining from above as the AQ did everything they could to stop your assault, but they were no match for Reaper and the Demon Dogs.
You were just too damn good.
Fighting through the streets, you made it to the house at the end, where the rest of the AQ were hiding, shooting down at you from their heights.
"Get up there, Echo. Show us how it's done!" Griggs called.
With a nod to Alex, the two of you leapt forward, breaching the doors and swiftly cleaning house, moving controlled and in sync, like you'd always practised in training.
Descending back into the street, the rest of the team had arrived, marching through with a convoy of tanks and other machinery in tow.
This is the closest you'd been to a warzone since your last tour of Afghanistan, and the thought made you shiver, a sharp sting from your side being triggered.
"Nicely done, Reaper." A hand slapped your shoulder.
"Did ya expect any less of me, Griggs?"
"Never."
With the air support and tanks in tow, it took no time at all to push to the hospital, clearing out the AQ for a clear path to the lobby. It seems that, no matter how many bodies you downed, more just came flooding out.
Whatever was here was essential to their cause.
Alex burst through the doors into the ward ahead, leading you and the Marines through the halls. You were actively pulling frightened civilians to safety, pointing them in the direction of your awaiting allies outside.
"No sign of the Wolf!" Griggs called out as you began climbing the stars to the second floor.
"They're tryna keep us away from something." Alex spoke, turning to check that you were still right behind him.
"That's for damned sure." You answered.
You moved through the rooms, the groans and moans of injured civilians surrounding you as you passed them, discarded on the beds as if they meant nothing.
Farah was right - these forces had no regard for human life whatsoever.
Continuing to fight through, you made it to the end of the corridor, where a room was chained off. Setting a snakecam, Alex was able to look through, finding the Wolf holding two of Griggs' men at gunpoint.
An execution video.
Vaulting through the window, you crouched in an effort to silence your movements, leading the way around and through the next window, which lead to the back opening of the room.
"In here." You whispered, moving in.
"Demons set. Take this animal alive, Alex. Don't shoot him, get him on the ground."
As Alex moved in front of you, grabbing hold of the Wolf, you jumped up raising your gun to the two other AQ soldiers in the room. They raised theirs just as fast, and the popping of gunfire and the breaching of the doors made your ears ring.
But, with the help of the Marines, you got the Wolf.
"You good, Alex?" Griggs asked, stepping past you to him.
"Good, Griggs." Alex nodded, "Omar Sulaman, you are now in custody of Special Operations Force. Do exactly as you're told, or you're a dead man."
"Hell yeah." Griggs spoke, zip tying the man's hands behind his back.
You moved to step forward, but doubled over, a searing pain shooting through your side and your shoulder. You hissed, hand coming to rest over the place where your scar was, only when you pulled it back, all you saw was red.
So much red.
You began to wobble, head feeling light as you watched it drip from your body onto the floor.
"Uh, A-Alex?" You stuttered out as you looked up from your hand.
He turned, confused, handing the Wolf over to Griggs.
The second he saw you, his heart stopped.
Crimson blood dripped from your hand, what he could see of your face was paling rapidly, and the way in which the stain on your shirt grew sent shivers down his spine.
Not you, not now.
"No no no!" He yelled, diving for you just in time to catch you as you dropped, no longer able to keep yourself upright. "No no, baby, no. C'mon (Y/N), no you're okay. You're okay."
"A-Alex, f-fuck ow- it hurts it hurts."
"I know, angel, I know- shit!" He yelled, blood now pooling onto the floor around you, "Griggs, damn-it someone get Laswell! We need EVAC now!"
The men around you burst into action, some splitting off to secure the Wolf, while others called around, desperate to get you aid.
Griggs knelt down, using his own medi-kit to try and slow the bleeding as much as possible, but as soon as he placed down the white fabric, you bled through it.
"Watcher this is 3-1! Reaper is down, I repeat Reaper is down we need medical now!" Alex yelled through the radio
"Echo 3-1 this is Watcher, medical evac deploying now, ETA 7 minutes."
"You hear that, angel? 7 minutes, can you hold on for me? You can do that, yeah?"
You nodded vigorously, wincing as he pressed his hands into your wound, desperate to stop the rapid flow of blood.
"It's c-cold, Alex. M'cold-d."
Alex shook his head, moving to place yours in his lap, "No, no, it's alright, you're alright. Help's comin'."
He smoothed your hair, pulling your mask away from your face so you could breathe better, his other hand still firmly placed over your wound. Your eyes were slipping closed, and he knew he had to keep you awake.
"Stay awake for me, (Y/N). Hey, hey- remember you being scared of heights? Tell me about it."
You coughed, blood spatting onto your face as you tried to laugh, "D-don't like...fell o-out a big tree when I was... a-a kid. Hurt a l-lot."
He chuckled, it wasn't exactly the story he expected, but it was keeping you distracted. Keeping you alive.
"No more trees for you then, yeah?"
"Alex, EVAC is 3 minutes out- get to the roof now!"
With the help of the marines around him, he managed to get you onto a bed, wheeling you through the halls until he burst through the door, dust blowing in the wind of the helo's turbines.
On the roof was the rest of the team, as well as Hadir and Farah, who gasped at the sight of you.
Everyone watched hopelessly as the medics poured out, pushing them out of the way to help you as quickly as possible. The entire time, Alex didn't take his eyes off you, breathing heavily as his heart pounded relentlessly in his chest even after they'd got you stable.
Not you. He couldn't lose you.
Not his angel.
"She'll be okay, Alex." Farah spoke, a soft hand on his arm.
He nodded, eyes not leaving you as you were wheeled away, "Look after her for me." He said, addressing the marine in front of him.
"Will do, sergeant."
"Hey, angel!" Alex called to you, and you looked over, a weak smile on your face, "I'm comin' back for you, so you better be alive when I get home."
"Yes, sir." You whispered back.
Gently, you were loaded into the helo, too drugged up to even worry about the flight back.
You were going home, leaving Alex behind to finish the mission.
But at least you were alive.

We return to the Call of Duty series after a 4-5 month hiatus and our newest chapter really sets the stakes.
Reset here: after the disappointment that was MWII/2022’s campaign, I vowed to fix it. So I began a fix it and of course through ONE CHARACTER (no it’s not Nathan Drake), it’s also a crossover with Uncharted. Its goal is to show at least a glimpse of what could’ve been had IW/Activision not sold out to rushed stories and not touching *ahem* a certain country, but I digress: main points being the planned for post-2019 story with Victor Zakhaev as the poster villain but also recruiting Khaled Al Asad and Hadir Karim (I am aware at one point they wanted to merge KAA into a alias for Hadir but before that they were separate characters and you can’t convince me otherwise) into his plans against the West, beginning with both Urzikstan and Kastovia. And now after the even more disappointing and straight up anger-inducing “campaign” that was MWIII/2023, the motivation to fix this post-MW2019 storyline has returned! And by chapter 4, Victor has his “Four Horsemen” selected for terror…
Anyways, our resumption of MWII: Daddy’s Boy is after the second mission in MWII where Ghost and Soap narrowly miss Al-Asad (ICYMI: Al-Asad replaces Hassan Zyani as the main villain for Al Qatala) in Al Mazarah. Yet before 141/it’s American allies can continue the hunt for Al-Asad and Zakhaev, their two protégés are about to pull off a terror attack that will forever haunt Kastovia, but more importantly could turn global opinions against the Urzikstan Liberation Force. And in the aftermath, Price and Gaz are in Amsterdam to investigate who Zakhaev and Al-Asad’s new partners are, but their next and even more devious plan is already in motion…
Note/WARNING: Chapter 4 of MWII-Daddy’s Boy contains implied graphic violence aka an implied massacre as on par with No Russian from 2009’s OGMW2. Also contains the usual further violence with blood and gore, strong language, and geopolitical sensitivities.
With all that out the window, enjoy COD fans!

I don't understand the theory circulating on here that in the sneak peek of Operation 627 in MWIII that we're rescuing Makarov from prison and not Price??
Barry has been dropping super not-subtle hints that Price is 627 since the campaign gameplay premiere
It's very likely that it's TF 141 and Shadows or at least some U.S. Marines leading the Operation
We can literally hear Graves, Soap, and Gaz speaking during the mission.
We already have the precedent of Soap and Roach rescuing Price as Prisoner 627 from a Russian gulag in the OG MW2
Makarov is literally enemy #1 for both Shadows and TF 141, it would make no logical sense for them to literally be breaking out their most dangerous enemy from detention.
First, the theory that Soap is betraying Price/141 began floating around—which imo is not rooted in substantial evidence/ideas. Then, I even saw someone say König was making an appearance in the game—that's even more ridiculous since he is primarily a MP operator, not a campaign character. Now I see people saying we're helping Makarov escape from the gulag, when:
it would make no sense, story-wise for 141 to begin a confrontation with Makarov in the first level of the game. Reminder, that Operation 627 is supposed to be the first level we play—this is not supposed to be a final battle/fight scene.
Price, Laswell, Shepherd, Shadows, Farah & the Urzikstan Liberation Force — NO ONE —would think of helping Makarov leave prison confinement.
Also disclaimer: This is not an attack on anyone for simply theorizing. People can have their theories and, of course, I'm not gonna agree with everyone's theories. I'm critiquing theories I'm seeing here, but I am not attacking anyone's character or intelligence. Ultimately, we're all clueless until the campaign is finally released or unless Activision/SH drops more revealing hints.
