This still makes no sense to me...

I have yesterday watched all the different romance scenes for BG3 on youtube and it was... silly, how in the videos I found the male character romance scenes were mostly unaltered, but the female character ones were censored. And of course we know why: "female presenting nipples". And to me it is just still so silly.

There is nothing about the female breast that is inherently sexual. First and foremost they are baby feeding thingies. Yes, for some folks they are also an erogenous zone, but guess what... that is true for male breasts and the nipples specifically as well. Heck, it is true for ears for a lot of people. Do we now all need to wear ear muffs?

And in general just this idea more broadly that stuff that usually gets used for sex needs to be censored. Why? Like, I get sex being censored. I get that. But... I mean, excuse my Europeanism, but I grew up with child media in which the characters ran around nude.

In a lot of the Astrid Lindgren movies from Sweden, there are scenes of characters bathing. And you get full frontal nudity for men and women there. And it was never an issue.

But because Americans are fucking puritans the world changes towards what they think is normal. And now nude breasts are just a problem. I just... honestly, it makes me angry.

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT????
