The Chosen: Big James [ISTJ 9w8]
Function Order: Si-Te-Fi-Ne Big James becomes very frustrated whenever what Jesus tells them to do or preach “does not make sense.” When Jesus sends them out in twos to perform miracles and share parables, James admits when they are reunited that he didn’t like not knowing what was happening, or the meaning of what he was saying—because he needs it to be in some way grounded, and instead, Jesus…

THE CHOSEN actor Abe Bueno-Jallad, who plays Big James, is sharing his thoughts on the “movement” the show has started in Hollywood.
“I really do believe that it’s a piece of entertainment that anybody can watch and be impacted on and that’s why it’s doing so well,” the actor said on the “Good Agency” podcast.
Bueno-Jallad continued, “There is an entertainment component where we have to find the gray area from scripture, from history, to create this entertainment, and I think we do a pretty darn good job of it. I think the perspective that we have and the way that we tackle certain things is something that hasn’t been done before…I can see that the industry has eyes on us because we’re doing something. We started a real movement.”
The actor pointed out that THE CHOSEN is “changing the conversation” when it comes to what Hollywood is giving audiences.
“People want stories about wholesomeness, about trials and tribulations and about coming out on top with a different perspective,” Bueno-Jallad explained. “I think our show serves that purpose, and we also have a great source—the original source, the best story ever told.”
THE CHOSEN has been wildly popular since its release, earning praise from fans and critics alike.
Creator Dallas Jenkins gave his thoughts on why the show speaks to so many people today.
“THE CHOSEN is capturing [the] first century,” he explained. “It feels like 2,000 years ago, and you realize that when you watch the show — wow, they were going through the same things that we were. Their questions were the same. They were facing oppression. They were facing division. Their doubts were the same. What I’m hoping through THE CHOSEN is that you’ll see that the answer is the same 2,000 years ago that it is today.”
Fans of the show are anxiously awaiting Season 4, which wrapped production earlier this year. No release date has been announced so far, but THE CHOSEN is expected to return some time in the first few months of 2024.
“I actually think that this is going to be the most impactful season we’ve ever done, emotionally and spiritually,” Jenkins said of the upcoming fourth season.

Frank
Movie review: Frank by #LennyAbrahamson starring #MichaelFassbender and #DomhnallGleeson
BB.5
(out of 5)
Domhnall Gleeson works a day job and tries to compose songs at night, struggling for inspiration but keeping up the pretense on social media that he is “living the dream”. A random encounter with a touring band gets him much closer to his ambition when the group’s keyboard player is taken to the hospital after a nervous breakdown and a position is offered to him as replacement.…

Okay Judean Beauty Contest time 🤣 which of the disciples as portrayed in the Chosen TV show do you find most attractive?
If you don't watch the show feel free to look at the pics below and give your vote.
And we're talking in show here because some of them are more attractive out of character (George Xanthis is much cuter than John imo) and some of them are cuter in character (Z is much more handsome than Alaa Safi sorry)

The wait is over as Season 4 of the hit Christian TV series The Chosen hits the big screen. For the first time, the entire season will roll out in theaters over the next few weeks, and it's expected to deliver a wild ride of emotions for fans.
Dallas Jenkins is the man behind the masterpiece series on the life of Jesus and His "Chosen" followers. In an interview with CBN's Studio 5, Jenkins shared a preview of what to expect this time around.
"A good perspective in this season to notice is that Jesus is weary and heavy laden, and He needs rest. We see Him throughout the season - sometimes He gets comforted by someone else. As we get closer and closer to Holy Week, we see in scripture Jesus get more frustrated. He got more brokenhearted. He wept over the city of Jerusalem. He was frustrated at the religious leaders because they were not getting His message," he told CBN News.

Actress Vanessa Benavente, who plays Jesus' mother, is seeing and feeling the emotional change in Jesus this season.
"I feel like she has such trust in Jesus and such great respect for what He does, that even though if things don't really feel like the way they should be going, she understands that maybe she just has to wait and see," Vanessa told CBN News.
Actor Abe Bueno-Jallad who plays "Big James" shares Benavente's sentiment.
Bueno-Jallad told CBN News, "I think that in Season 4 something becomes clear to James about who Jesus is. It's almost kind of what Vanessa was talking about. Learn to sit in that listening, that really beautiful listening, as opposed to talking with your strengths, and trust."
Jonathan Roumie has played the role of Jesus since The Chosen's inception and believes his storyline with Lazarus this season will stand out the most.
Reflecting on the scene, Roumie said, "We spent a lot of Season 3 developing Jesus and Lazarus's friendship, and to see Lazarus's journey and how Jesus reacts to it and the pain that causes. Then the pain of the community at large despite Jesus hoping that they will have understood that he is the Messiah, that death cannot stop him, and then still sort of succumbing to the earthly temporal norms of a life coming to an end."

(SPOILER ALERT) While Lazarus' storyline will be a major part of the season, a major twist in the role for Ramah is sure to draw some tears. Actress Yasmine Al-Bustrami revealed some of the details of her character's death.
"I knew this was already planned from the get-go, but when I got the script, I just didn't have a chance to read it yet. But then people were asking me like, oh my gosh, did you read it?" she told CBN News.
Brandon Potter plays Quintus. And his character plays a pivotal role in the surprising plotline.
Potter told CBN's Studio 5, "I'm the killer. I was not quite hyperventilating when I was reading the script, but I was getting up and pacing. It's sort of funny because for the last several seasons you know I would talk to Dallas, and I would say Quintus is doing a lot of threatening of people. He needs to do something."
While there is no avoiding the sad moments in the Bible-based stories, we know according to scripture there is a bright light at the end of the story.
The first 3 episodes of The Chosen Season 4 will be in theaters this Thursday. They will then be followed by episodes 4 to 6 on February 15th. Then Episodes 7 and 8 roll out starting on February 29th.

THE CHOSEN’s cast and crew are sharing their favorite parts of making Season 4 of the hit TV show.
“How high-stakes the scenes have gotten and how intense they get,” Abe Bueno-Jallad, who plays Big James, said. “I don’t think we’ve ever had a season that’s truly like this one.”
Lara Silva (Eden) joked that her favorite thing about the upcoming season was “that I don’t really have to do a whole lot.”
“This kid, Jared, he’s trying to get through chemo currently,” Giavani Cairo (Thaddeus) shared. “So a few of us went there from week to week and just tried to cheer him up. That’s the most rewarding experience this season.”
Jonathan Roumie, who plays Jesus, pointed to some “really great…one-on-one scenes” that he got to have with characters he hasn’t really interacted with in previous seasons.
Director and co-creator Dallas Jenkins agreed with Roumie, adding that he loves the “quieter scenes” between two characters “where we just get to really explore the depth of thought and emotions that Jesus and the disciples go through.”
Season 4 promises to be bigger than ever before, with Jenkins calling it “our most emotionally challenging season.”
“There was the year of preparation, the year of population is happening, and [Jesus is] increasing in popularity,” he explained. “Season 4 is where it starts to turn.”
While the upcoming season is building towards the crucifixion, Jenkins told Fox News there are still some bright spots.
“There’s lots of joy, there’s lots of laughter, there’s lots of miracles that we get to experience, which is one of the reasons why we want people to see this on the big screen and see this together,” he said. “But season 4 is a time where the fact that the people around Jesus just aren’t quite getting it and the reason that he’s here does start to get bigger and more important in his ministry.”
