what got you into clothes?

I don’t really know if anything got me into clothes. We grew up without a lot of money since my parents are both working-class and we lived in a small town. I didn’t really get to shop the way other kids did; we just went to Goodwill or Savers or whatever thrift stores we could find. Since I didn’t really have the brand experience of getting to see outfits put together, I guess I had to really figure that out for myself.

When I got older and wanted to start a business, I guess I’d just received a lot of compliments about how I dress and I thought about how hard it was to wade through all of the junk at some of those thrift stores so I wanted to be able to provide a place where I could keep the prices low but where people would find stuff that actually looked good.
