Random question but is Petal from DOTC going to be in the Bonefall redux? I remember liking her as a kid for literally no reason and I think she was wasted in canon
Yeah don't worry, Petal's important as one of Clear Sky's loyalists. Her brother Fox is, too. She is one of the first members of early SkyClan.
Clear Sky rejects his kitten when Thunder Storm is born missing a leg in the same spot as Jagged Peak, who has died from starvation in the harsh winter despite the efforts of Gray Wing and Bright Storm.
Tall Shadow and many other cats are convinced this is a sign from their ancestors that turning out Jagged Peak to die was wrong, and that they must do better. This is the SkyClan/ShadowClan split.
I still haven't worked out a family for Fox and Petal yet, though. I'm thinking about giving them a unique last name, and also putting Snake in it. I imagine they're all HUGE cats with funky eyes.
I could make them the Claw family, and then put Red Claw into it as well. Fox Claw, Petal Claw, Snake Claw, Red Claw...

Tiger Tail, Pale Sky, Rumble and Lightning...
Just WHAT are we gonna do with you 4, eh?
Lightning has been fused with Lightning Stripe, she is now pure white aside from a ginger stripe down her back.
Sleek Fur is now the son of Violet Dawn and Rain, and is a mini-me of Violet Dawn. His sibling is Shell Claw, who is now a dark brown tolly, with blue eyes like Rain. They miss their dad.
The other sibling, Feather Ear, is now the only child of Falling Feather and her wife, Aspen Leaf. She is a little tortie!
Lightning Stripe's brother is Rumble Fur. He looks a lot like Acorn Fur, although he has long, tangled fur.
So, Acorn Fur and Thunderstar have Lightning Stripe and Rumble Fur. Falling Feather and Aspen Leaf have Feather Ear. Violet Dawn is now the single mother of Sleek Fur and Shell Claw.
Tiger Tail and Pale Sky are now the children of Sun Shadow and Light Spots. They actually have 3 children! The other child is Shadow Fur, who is the spitting image of his father Sun Shadow aside from being basically blind (he can see light and shadows but that's about it, he isn't 100 percent blind but he ain't exactly getting a drivers license). He becomes Pebble Heart's apprentice because he is also Kitty Autism with a special interest in plants. All 3 are extremely popular in Shadowclan!
Light Spots is a pale brown tabby molly with white patches and green eyes, she has epilepsy and thrives in Shadowclan's nocturnal patrols that Bumble accidentally starts. Tiger Tail is a light brown tom with black stripes on his tail, and green eyes; Pale Sky is now a silver tabby molly with amber eyes, and Shadow Fur is pure black with yellow eyes just like dad.

I can’t tell if I’m just bad at finding Bedsheets That Don’t Pill, or if it’s just another case of Severe Decrease In Product Quality Due To Ongoing Plague And Labor Shortages, or if I’m just autistic and doomed to experience all bedsheet textures as Level 10 Pain

💣 for Mighty and Sally!
For every 💣 I get I’ll reveal one thing my muse thinks their good at but in reality is bad at
Mighty, despite what the results have shown, has tried his hand at playing music. His main instrument of choice were the likes of the drums, but with all of the strength he has in those arms of his he has more often than not broken the drumset or played entirely off beat. He's trying his best though.
Sally, meanwhile, actually has quite a lot of issues when it comes to her physical combat prowess. Whilst she does like to believe that the years of fighting alongside Sonic and the others has helped her, she primarily stands as a strategist and leader-figure rather than someone who will throw hands as often. This MAY change over time, but she's gonna try and claim she can fight you to a standstill in a duel.

bay barnacles
a drawing of the tangotronic and rosaline/his dance partner at the beach together with the tangotronic showing rosaline a small shell with bay barnacles stuck onto it (idk if the image quality lets you see them but here is a close up on what he’s holding (trypophobia warning btw!!!))
i got this idea after i recently visited clearwater beach in tampa bay and saw shells with these weird sphere things on them (images below). i then found out they’re called barnacles, specifically the ones in the images are apparently what people call bay barnacles.
⚠️trypophobia warning!⚠️

*SIGHHHH* I should have known better than to give my finches a nest to play with, unsupervised.
So
I put my finch Parsley in my smaller cage because he was still recovering from his cat attack, needed to regain stamina n strength before going back to aviary.
And because he needed company I put his ornery brother Foxglove in there with him to return the favor from when he had sprained his leg and needed a recovery space.
And I added their auntie (adoptive) Lupine because she was getting her tail feathers plucked bloody and naked so her bullies (I still cannot figure out WHO because Parsley and a random three of his sisters also have plucked butts) had just started plucking her chest as well.
And because an odd bird out would just continue to be bullied, I added one tail-less sister, Snapdragon, because she's the smartest and least likely to get stressed by me constantly checking on Parsley and Lupine's injuries.
And I gave them a nest and hay to have a constructive activity without too much crowding, so they wouldn't get bored and their tails could grow back.
And this was fine. The kids know they're too closely related to breed and Lupine always rejected their dad and wasn't interested in the boys whatsoever. Their tails have grown back, Parsley is fully recovered, and they were so happily snuggling up in their nest at bedtime. I was planning to return them to aviary this week, maybe swap out some tail-less kids to pinpoint the bully.
IT WAS FINE.
EXCEPT SOMEONE DECIDED THEY MIGHT LAY EGGS ANYWAYS AND NOT TELL ME ABOUT IT
HOW DO I FIND OUT??
I come home after a weekend away and a full day of work, and SNAPDRAGON, my brilliant child, randomly SHRIEKS AND CHASES THE OTHERS AWAY FROM THE NEST LIKE A BAT OUTTA HELL. I grab her to see what's wrong - is she hurt or does she need time out?? NO!!
THERE ARE FIVE EGGS IN THE NEST SHE IS GUARDING. FIVE. THEY ONLY LAY ONE PER DAY. THEY HAVE ALL BEEN HIDING EGGS FROM ME FOR AT LEAST FIVE DAYS.
Ok, ok, I say. This is fine. Maybe Snap (and/or Lupine) decided the nest was too good to waste and she really wanted to Brood™ so she laid some eggs on her own. There's no way they're fertilized. They can sit on them until they're bored so they don't lay more. It'll be fine.
EXCEPT IT WONT.
SINCE THERE ARE SO MANY I DECIDE TO CANDLE THE EGGS TO BE SURE THEYRE EMPTY, AND WHAT DO I FIND OUT???
THEY ARE NOT EMPTY!! One has died early but THREE ARE STILL DEVELOPING! AND THAT'S NOT ALL FOLKS!!
NOT ONLY ARE THEY FERTILE, THEY ARE PACKED FULL!! THE FIRST COULD LITERALLY HATCH AT ANY TIME NOW!!!
I LOOK AT MY BIRDS, CAREFULLY CHOSEN. SOMEONE GOT NASTY AND ALL OF THEM HID THE EVIDENCE FOR AT LEAST 13 DAYS. IT ISN'T SNAP BECAUSE HER BROTHERS DISGUST HER. IT ISN'T PARSLEY BECAUSE HE ONLY SINGS TO GET MY ATTENTION.
SO
THE BOY WHO NEVER SHUTS UP, THE ONE WITH THE VOICE CRACK, FOXGLOVE, SHOOK HIS ASS AT LUPINE AND SHE SAID YES??? TO THE ONE BOY WHO LOOKS LIKE HIS DAD FROM WHOM SHE RUNS??? FOR FIVE EGGS?????
AND SNAP IS GETTING POSSESSIVE OVER THEM??????? WHAT DOES SHE KNOW THAT I DONT?!
Lord help me, 4 birds was fine to begin with and then they had 7 babies, and then 11 birds was enough... I can't just toss these eggs, now. What am I gonna do with 14 birds ;;

A pair of French chestnut crushing clogs used in the 19th century. These shoes were worn by farmers to trample on chestnuts and acorns to separate the nutmeats from the shells so it could be ground into flour.
