The slow burn of the last few months has provided deep anticipatory pleasure — for Swift and Kelce, sure (and there’s ample speculation about what good sex she’s having). But it’s also offering a secondary form of pleasure for the fans, who assemble the disparate threads of the narrative (by, for example, consuming the surprisingly entertaining podcast Kelce makes with his brother) or dissecting a handhold (and comparing it handholds in previous relationship + how Swift has previously written and spoken about handholds, etc. etc.). Finding yourself enthralled by this sort of narrative…..it’s about Travis and Taylor, or Edward and Bella, or whoever, but it’s very much about you. 

she also touches on how taylor knows how to craft a good love story, and that the sheer amount of content about this relationship + the backdrop of an utterly fucked-up world is part of the reason people are so invested

What would a calendar look like that prioritized and protected caregiving? What about one that understood crip time, or different types of relationships and the soft but consistent focus they demand? That understood creativity, and children, or grief? What would a family calendar look like that made its primary steward and their needs as visible as others? Kids make weird and wondrous calendars all the time; why don’t we ever try them? What if the stubborn professors making power plays with their resistance to digital calendars were trying to preserve something worth preserving — but going about it in a way that just made everyone even more reliant and insistent on calendars. How, in other words, would you make a calendar that accommodated “the life of the mind” but also respected and equalized that work with those who foster the environment that makes that life possible? What about a calendar rooted in solidarity instead of individuality, or community instead of the family unit?

AHP perspetiva taxa de ocupação acima dos 70% na Páscoa

22MAR24 - A hotelaria nacional perspetiva uma taxa de ocupação acima dos 70% no período da Páscoa, destacando-se a procura dos turistas portugueses na maioria dos destinos, segundo um inquérito divulgado pela Associação da Hotelaria de Portugal (AHP).

Tendo por base os dados recolhidos junto dos seus associados, a AHP destaca que, face a 2023, 90% das unidades hoteleiras inquiridas no Algarve considera que o fim de semana da Páscoa (de 28 a 31 de março) registará um preço médio por quarto (ADR) mais elevado e 78% prevê uma taxa de ocupação (TO) melhor. Considerando todo o período das férias escolares da Páscoa (de 23 de março a 07 de abril), 60% esperam um preço e uma TO melhores. Já nos Açores, para ambos os períodos, a “ampla maioria” dos inquiridos espera uma pior TO, quanto o ADR tenderá a manter-se idêntico ao de 2023. De acordo com o inquérito da AHP, a taxa de reservas para o período das férias escolares da Páscoa está atualmente nos 56% a nível nacional e com um ADR de 135 euros (ambos os valores ‘on the books’, ou seja, com base nas marcações/reservas feitas). O Algarve destaca-se como o destino com a taxa mais elevada, atingindo os 65%, seguido da Grande Lisboa com 61%, dos Açores com 57% e da Madeira com 53%. Já a Península de Setúbal apresenta a taxa de reservas mais baixa, com 33% de reservas até ao fecho do inquérito. Em relação à TO, as expectativas dos hoteleiros é de que atinja os 73% a nível nacional, com a Grande Lisboa a esperar chegar aos 79%, seguida pela Madeira com 77% e pelo Algarve com 76%. Para a AHP, estas previsões “refletem a especial confiança dos hoteleiros destes destinos na procura durante o período das férias escolares da Páscoa”. Em comparação com o mesmo período de 2023, 46% dos hoteleiros estimam que será igual, só 31% considera que será melhor e 22% acha que será pior. Em termos de ADR, a Madeira lidera com um valor de 165 euros, seguida do Alentejo com 157 euros e da Grande Lisboa com 150 euros. A Península de Setúbal apresenta o ADR mais baixo (73 euros).

Relativamente às férias da Páscoa do ano passado, para 60% dos inquiridos o ADR será superior, com destaque para os hoteleiros da Grande Lisboa, Península de Setúbal e Alentejo. Considerando apenas o fim de semana da Páscoa, de 28 a 31 de março, verifica-se uma taxa de reservas de 57% a nível nacional e um ADR de 141 euros (ambos valores ‘on the books’), antecipando os hoteleiros uma TO de 75%. Por regiões, a Grande Lisboa lidera, com previsão de atingir 83%, seguida pelo Algarve com 78%, Centro com 77% e da Madeira com 74%. Em comparação com 2023, 42% dos hoteleiros estima que será igual, 36% dos hoteleiros que será melhor e 22% que será pior. Em relação ao ADR, a Madeira surge no topo da lista com 173 euros, seguida pelo Alentejo com 170 euros e a Grande Lisboa com 156 euros. A região Oeste e Vale do Tejo regista o ADR mais baixo, de 97 euros. Quando comparado com 2023, 65% estimam dos hoteleiros estimam que o ADR seja melhor, 18% igual e 17% pior, enquanto relativamente à TO 42% prevê que será igual, 36% melhor e 22% pior. Quanto aos três principais mercados nas férias escolares, 87% dos hoteleiros referiram o mercado nacional como o principal, sendo o espanhol mencionado por 55%, o Reino Unido por 40% e os Estados Unidos e a Alemanha por 31% e 26%, respetivamente.

Já no fim de semana da Páscoa, 88% dos hoteleiros destacaram o mercado nacional como o mais relevante, seguido também pelo mercado espanhol (63%), o Reino Unido (35%), os EUA (29%) e a Alemanha (26%). No Algarve, o mercado nacional lidera, seguido do britânico, enquanto na Madeira os mercados alemão e britânico foram os mais mencionados pelos hoteleiros e nos Açores o mercado nacional se destaca, seguido da Alemanha e dos Estados Unidos. O canal de reserva mais utilizado é a Booking.com, seguida do ‘website’ próprio das unidades hoteleiras. What can I say? Drama is my specialty.
