OKAY i've had like. a few hours to process the emotional damage that a journey to love has dealt on me and i've decided to focus on the fact that they gave me the one other thing i really wanted from the show (besides all of my ldt boys being happy and ALIVE) which was for li tongguang to call ning yuanzhou 师丈. i can live with that.

I love how this is Ren Ruyi’s Big Dramatic Revenge Plan for the emperor killing her mentor:

Step 1: challenge Deng Hui to a duel, pretend to lose it so your body gets brought to the emperor. Prior to this, get some of your old co-workers to hide your sword and a lock pick on your unconscious body.

Step 2: KIDNAP THE EMPEROR.

Step 3: Summon just, fucking everybody to the front of the palace, where you are holding the emperor at sword point. When they start yelling at you about how it’s very wrong and bad to kidnap the emperor, enact step 4.

Step 4: Announce that the emperor is a scumbag asshole piece of shit who killed his wife, framed you, and disrespects the entire spy organization working for him, drop the receipts, dismantle the spy organization by having someone else distribute antidotes and burn the records hall.

Step 5: Fuck off, having gotten exactly NO ONE hurt, but super humiliating for the emperor. Laters, losers!
