SOTM: Lourdes Family, David; family traditons

For the prompt: Jake's sisters slowly warming up to David

The problem with Nat and David, Allie decides early on, is that they’re too alike. Not in most ways, really — she doesn’t think they’d agree on much when it comes to their taste in media, or hobbies, or any of that, and she’s sure they’d both be surprised if she said they were similar at all.

But Allie knows Nat better than she knows herself, probably, and she’s made an attempt at getting to know David, because she knows how important it is to Jake, and some of the things that make Natalie Nat to her seem to be pretty similar to the things that make David David.

They’re both quiet, but it’s not shyness with either of them, though it can seem like it unless you know them. As often as not, Nat’s quiet because silently dismantling whatever’s being said in her head, about to spring it on whatever poor unsuspecting person just claimed they ‘could care less’ or called a pterodactyl a dinosaur or something that matters to nobody but Nat. 

Though mostly she doesn’t actually say it to them — unless they’re family, she corrects Allie all the time, and poor Jakey doesn’t stand a chance — she’s saying it as an aside to Allie, or recalling it later ,‘my co-worker thought Babylon was a mythological place, and when I said 'oh yeah, like Bethlehem?' he said 'yeah, exactly!'’ or ‘If I hear someone use literally when they mean figuratively one more time, Allie, I swear I'm going to snap’. 

She’s quiet, and sometimes she seems checked out, but she’s always paying attention to what everyone else is saying. Allie’s learned it’s the same with David — she’ll mention something and then nine months later David will have gotten her a Christmas present based on her offhand comment. Or he’ll ask if she wants the same drink as last time, last time being like, six months ago. Allie doesn’t know if he’s got that kind of memory for everybody, or if it’s just because she’s Jake’s sister, and he’s still trying to impress all of them, but, well — consider her impressed, she guesses.

But also, she’s pretty sure he’s also picking up on the mistakes everybody else makes, except instead of ‘Allie, let me tell you the misspelled bumper sticker I saw today’, she isn’t hearing shit from him. She doesn’t think Jake is either, at least if the people making mistakes are them. And they probably are. Allie has no illusions that she makes no mistakes: if she did, Nat would have beaten that belief out of her by now.

“He thinks he’s better than us,” Nat complained once, and Allie pressed her lips together very tightly, and she didn’t say a thing, and frankly, she thinks she deserves a medal for that.

As similar as David can be to Nat, he’s absolutely nothing like Jake. If Allie was asked to list their similarities, it’d be like — ‘very athletic white dudes around the same age’, and then a bunch of hockey specific things. Beyond that, she’s got nothing. It isn’t just their personalities — they have completely different taste in everything. Different priorities, outside of similar career ones. Some overlapping friends, but Allie just attributes that to Jake being able to make friends with a table leg if he wants to. They could not be less alike.

Allie’s never been a big believer in the whole ‘opposites attract’ thing, but honestly, maybe she should be: mom and dad are a pretty good example of it, and Jake and David seem to bring out the best in each other.

It took Allie a little while to come to terms with them getting back together, but she can’t deny that Jake seems to grow when he’s around David. Maturity wise, but he also just seems to stand up straighter, like just being around David makes him more alert, or aware, or maybe even self-confident, though that’s never been something he's lacked.

It probably isn’t just David he’s like that with — Allie hasn’t seen him around the Panthers too much, but he is the captain, after all — but either way, it’s a nice thing to see Jake grown up.

He’s still the baby to her, will probably always be the baby to her — anyone she put in pigtails and pulled around in a little red wagon while telling everyone to look at her pretty little dolly is going to be a baby to her forever, let’s face it — but for all that he’s been taller than her since he was twelve, he felt like a kid to her the whole way to the show, and for awhile after. He doesn’t feel like a kid anymore. Baby, sure, he's always going to be that, but not a kid. 

If anything, David feels more like one. Not that he’s childish, or immature, or whatever, because Allie suspects he wasn’t even childish when he was an actual child. Maybe more someone suddenly immersed in a foreign culture — he doesn’t know where he’s supposed to be, what he’s supposed to do, what the hell is up with the wishbone thing. 

She’s seen Jake explain things to him, the traditions she thought everyone did, and the traditions that are very Lourdes specific, the way mom gives extra mashed potatoes if you're a suck up, and how if people don’t take turns opening presents it turns into a free-for-all, and how nobody actually eats the cranberry sauce.

When Jake isn’t there to do it — rare, but the dude does need bathroom breaks — Allie figures it’s no skin off her nose to do it instead, and she even overhears Nat doing it once, though  she might have just been venting about someone saying dumb shit again. She does love to do that. 

The important thing is that he keeps showing up, even though he’s uncomfortable every single time — though maybe Allie’s imagining it, but she thinks he’s reached the ‘almost comfortable’ stage this Christmas, like, maybe feeling a little awkward, but no more than anyone else would, spending Christmas with his boyfriend’s family.  Maybe more than someone typically would if they’ve been doing it every year, but Allie knows they can be a lot, that most people have trouble keeping up with the rapid back and forth — even Jake gets left behind sometimes, then pouty when they start tease him about it.

David was a wide-eyed spectator, the first few times he saw that. Jake told Allie later that he didn’t hear the fondness in it, just the mockery, got defensive on Jake’s behalf. Allie doesn’t know how he’s survived locker rooms for so long — their love language is basically just mockery and punching each other in sensitive places, at least judging by Jake and his teammates back in the day. Probably now too. She’s met Cody Gallagher, unfortunately.

He takes it better now though, even joined in yesterday when everyone was shit-talking Jake’s recent stab at growing facial hair, while Jake tried and failed to defend himself through giggles. On the one hand, Allie’s just glad it isn’t a mustache, but on the other hand, maybe he’d do a better job with that. This morning, Jake comes down to breakfast clean-shaven. Allie isn’t delusional: he didn’t shave it because his sisters gave him shit. That was all David.

“High five,” Allie says when David joins them downstairs, and she’s half expecting a quizzical look, maybe even the ‘what the hell are the Lourdes talking about now’ one that surfaces sometimes, but instead she gets a tiny smile and a high five.

“I’m sitting right here, guys,” Jake says, but once again, he’s laughing.

- I made up this universe though it’s in Viking era times, so lots of images are used to create the vibe/setting of this imaginary place. That said, I’m not worried about being too ‘correct’ about what was and wasn’t around then.

- Ofc’s homeland visually is a mix of an old European village with rolling hills, her family estate/villa north of town, and some undertones of Spanish arcitecture and design.

- After raiding Europe, the Vikings travel further and come upon a new distant land (new to them).

- The Ofc is a full figured /plus size model. I used some of her older pics from 2019 since she’s quite smaller now. Her name is Ashlea Alece.

- The model herself is mixed race, and this fits perfectly into the visual i image. A place of beautiful various shades of tan, caramel and brown skin tones. This includes ofcs family.

Resident Evil Revised TV Series Idea.

The show should be told American Horror Story like meaning its gonna be anthology-ish based with stories bouncing back with returning characters.

Season 1’s cast is Jessica Henwick as Jill Valentine, Kellan Lutz or Sebastian Stan as Chris Redfield, Antony Starr as Albert Wesker, David Harbour as Barry Burton, Charlie Hunam as Richard Aiken, Jack Quad as Brad Vickers and Erin Moriarty as Rebecca Chambers.

Season 1 is an adaptation of RE1 taking creative liberties from the remake and original. The one difference is that Brad’s helicopter is hit by crows leading him to nearly crash and fly away, this results in a subplot of Brad returning to HQ and finds dirt on Irons before returning.

Season 2 has a different set of characters and a bigger budget with Hailee Steinfeld as Claire Redfield, Mason Dye as Leon S. Kennedy, Sadie Sink as Sherry Birkin, Elizabeth Olsen or Laurie Holden as Annette Birkin, Karen Fukuhara as Ada Wong, Temura Morrison as HUNK and Jason Issacs or Paul Bethany as William Birkin. Takes influence from the RE2 Remake.

Season 3 is an adaptation of RE3 Nemesis mixed with the remake. Jill is the same, Oscar Isaac plays Carlos Oliveira, Jonathan Adams as Tyrell Patrick, Tom Wlaschiha as Mikhail, and Michael Fassbender as Nicholai Zinoviev.

Season 4 adapts a story from the Umbrella Chronicles which is the fall of Umbrella and also Code Veronica Jamie Campbell as Alfred Ashford and Natalie Dormer as Alexia Ashford. Also Tye Simpkins as Steve Burnside.

Season 5 adapts the story of Leon and Krauser (John Cena or Frank Grillo) with Jenny Ortega as Manuela Hidalgo.

Season 6 is an adaptation of Resident Evil 4 with Mason Dye reprising his role as Leon and Cena or Grillo as Krauser alongside Fukuhara as Ada while newcomers Ashley Graham and Luis Sera are played by Natalia Dyer and Diego Luna with Javier Bardem as Saddler. A couple of unknowns for Mendez and Salazar.

Season 7 adapts Resident Evil Revelations with Jason Momoa as Parker Luciani, Kit Harrington as Raymond Vester and Alexandra Daddario as Jessica Sherawat.

Season 8 is an adaptation of RE5 but it’s more in line with the original draft albeit the mind controlled Jill part is there. Danai Guerera is Sheva Alomar, Daniel Kaluuya as Josh Stone, Jesse Plemons as Richardo Irving and Monica Belucci as Excella Gionne.

Season 9 adapts Resident Evil 6 with most of the cast returning and a better written Jake Muller played by Wyatt Russell and has been reimagined as a BSAA soldier instead of a mercenary who teams up with Sherry Birkin played by Billie Lourde with Liam Hemsworth playing Piers Nivans and Jill tagging along. Also Simmons is changed from instead of being a member of a secret society, he was just trying to cause global bio terror attacks to promote the his own agendas of a better secured world with Carla Radames being a rogue operative and an ally of Ada’s. Temura Morrison returns as HUNK and is Ada’s partner.

Season 10 is Resident Evil Revelations 2 with Emily VanCamp as Alex Wesker with Harbour reprising his role as Barry Burton, Millie Bobby Brown as Moira Burton, and an unknown actress for Natalia. Steinfeld returns as Claire too.

Season 11 adapted Resident Evil 7 fully with Joe Keery or Chris Hemsworth as Ethan Winters (to make the plot sound more sensical, Ethan is a private investigator and a former RPD cop), Emilia Clarke is Mia Winters, Michael Rooker is Jack Baker, Toni Colette as Marguerite Baker, Rooney Mara as Zoe Baker and Aaron Paul as Lucas Baker with Stan returning as Chris.

Season 12 is an RE8 adaptation with Cate Blanchett or Gwendolie Christie as Lady Dimitrescu (CGI), Eva Greene as Donna Beneviento, Nicholas Cage as Karl Heisenberg, Stellan Skarsgard as Salvatore Moreau, and Emily Blunt as Mother Miranda. Hound Wolf squad consists of Jill, Chris, Barry and Rebecca.

I don't know what I expected after diving deep into my own heart, but landing all but weightlessly on stained glass flooring was not it. Suddenly everything seemed — muted. Tranquil, almost, despite the disorientation of going from white hallways to stained glass in blackness. It was still imperative that I find the darkness I'd kept back from myself, but the time it would take no longer mattered. Glancing down, I suddenly realised that the stained glass beneath my feet bore a distinct image. I backed up, my steps echoing hollowly, until my heel brushed empty air. Now I could see the whole of the image, dominated by a boy in the centre. Black-haired and black-eyed, he wielded a lance two feet too big for him; his face was a grimace of rage, pain, and fear. He was me, as I had been the night Radiant Garden fell.

08. Glaciate (kingdom hearts)

Demyx hadn't been a member of the Organization for very long. Still, he thought it was just as well that he had made the attempt to play the shadows to their doom rather than his sisters. He wasn't sure humans were a delicacy they would willingly give up. Surprisingly, it hadn't taken him long at all to get used to walking. Getting away from Vexen had been a strong motivator, admittedly, and learning to control water instead of swimming through it a good excuse. The clone-forms were a happy accident, one he never would have discovered by practising magic as Vexen had shown him. Even as a merman, instruments had been his forté, and water simply responded better when he played. Why else would his sympathetic weapon manifest as a sitar?

09. Genesis (kingdom hearts)

Someone was watching him. Dilan pushed Aeleus back and signalled quickly for a pause. The other Guard frowned as Dilan glanced around the training room. "What is it?" Aeleus asked. Dilan shook his head, returning his attention to the taller man. "It's nothing."

10. Winter Court (kingdom hearts)

Rufus hated dealing with Maleficent. While not necessarily a usurper, she still ruled the kingdom that was his by birthright. Unfortunately, the witch had made it plain that his continued existence depended upon her unopposed rule. He supposed he should consider himself lucky the terms of their bargain hadn't altered as he aged.

I love how Shaw’s “start of darkness” was something that really should have pushed him into heroism, or at least a different kind of villainy like, okay, his beloved Lourdes is killed by a Sentinel sent by the human he trusted and whom he was planning to exploit mutants with. That should have been a wake-up call, right? And at first it is. After Shaw leads a coup and kills the man responsible and fills the Inner Circle ranks with his mutant allies, he gives a Magneto-esque speech about how mutants will no longer by the victims but the victors, not just in the Hellfire Club but the world. Yet by the time he attacks the X-men, he’s gone right back to the original plan to exploit other mutants. Worse, he moves on to selling Sentinels for profit, despite that being what he lost his own fiancee too; I guess, hey, he knows they work now, why not gain from it? Refusing to get in on this market won’t bring her back, and it’s not like he cares about anyone ELSE’S life or well-being. Just lining his pockets that DON’T EVEN NEED LINING BECAUSE HE’S ALREADY A BIILLIONAIRE. There’s no mitigating circumstances, no justification, no sympathetic reason here. It’s just pure greed. And he has EVERY opportunity to STOP every single day, and he CHOOSES NOT TO and I just LOVE that. I just love how Shaw’s self-corruption and evil is 100% his own doing. It’s not that the origins of his greed aren’t understandable, given his poverty past, but it’s shot waaaaay past the line of any grace that could have given him. Dude’s just plain awful because he chooses to be awful, and I for one just ENJOY THAT SO MUCH thank you.

Olena Zelenska held the opening speech on the Santander WomenNOW congress in Spain.

"We fight not only for ourselves, but for the right to freedom and independence." In an emotional live video from a secret location, Olena Zelenska called for “not to treat this war as one that is happening somewhere behind a strong neighboring wall. There are no walls in the world. And the missiles go through them easily.” Four months after the start of the war, the First Lady opened Santander WomenNOW, Vocento's international women's leadership summit held in Madrid under the slogan "Leadership in uncertain times". The First Lady of Ukraine, the Third Vice President of the Government, Teresa Ribera, the former basketball player Pau Gasol, the economist Mariana Mazzucato, and the former Vice President of the Afghan National Assembly, Fawzia Koofi, starred in the first session of Santander WomenNOW, the congress on female leadership organized by Vocento.

The First Lady of Ukraine was connected live at 9:30 AM with Madrid. Behind a desk, with the blue and yellow flag to one side, Olena Zelenska opened Santander Women Now with a tough and combative speech. Also desperate. "At this very moment that I pronounce these words, the city of Severodonetsk continues to be destroyed by the Russians," she reminded the public, who received her with long applause, and thanked the Spanish role in welcoming refugees: "When contemplating Guernica I see Mariupol destroyed and the inhabitants of Bucha murdered," she said and introduced herself as the "ambassador of all Ukrainian women, whose lives and families have been broken by aggression, but who do not give up."

"This meeting is called WomenNOW, so I will tell you what is happening to Ukrainian women right now, as we speak," she said, her face serious, in an emotional and solemn speech. "They heal, they save, they suffer… But they fight! Because this is his house, where evil has come."

With the projection of images of four women who maintain their courage under attack (an amputee recovering in a hospital, a teacher in arms in the Donbas, a pediatrician from Kharkiv and an old woman trying to rebuild her house near kyiv) Zelenska asked for weapons. "Although this is not the role of a First Lady, today for the first time I ask Spain and the whole world to give us arms, to protect us," Zelenska continued. “Each day without weapons means more death for us. There are about 37,000 women in our army. Should these heroic women fight unarmed against the enemy? Will they have something to stop him?

She recalled that on June 23-24, the European Council will consider granting Ukraine the status of a candidate of the European Union. Zelenska also called for her country to join the European Union. "In a few days an event will take place that may decide the fate of this terribly aggressive war. Europe, she said, must understand that "war does not happen behind a wall, it is not something that happens to the neighbor."

“We fight for the right to freedom and independence. We do not want to be with you as refugees, but as a related and ally country. We have the essential component to belong to the European Union, which is to make the value of human life prevail over everything else", she maintained in the forum. Her serious face relaxed only briefly at the end. She almost smiled and put her hand to her heart to conclude, 'Thank you.'

Lourdes Garzón, director of Santander WomenNOW and of Mujerhoy, said that "she embodies the courage and value of an entire country."

SOTM: David/Jake: proper preparation prevents poor performance

For the prompt: Jake's half year celebratory party thrown by David. With streamers!

This, like so many things that involve David, has spiralled out of control and sprung another part. It is his way. 

It’s not that David doesn’t know what’s involved in birthday parties, it’s just —

David really hadn’t anticipated just how much is involved in a proper birthday celebration. Perhaps it should have been obvious, since it’s like any other event, but then, David doesn’t plan non-birthday events either.

He’s been to birthday parties, of course, but not in years. Celebrated plenty, but on the team birthdays involve cake ordered by someone if it happens to fall on a game day, perhaps a sign or two during warm-ups, ‘it’s your birthday, give me your stick’ instead of ‘it’s my birthday, give me your stick’, whatever catches a player’s attention. Questions from the media about whether this game is special, whether David wants a birthday goal, like he doesn’t want a goal every other game. David would honestly prefer his birthday wasn’t acknowledged at all, rather than mentioned by people who don’t even know him.

But he’s sure Jake would enjoy it more than him, but Jake doesn’t even have that. At least, he hasn’t since he hit the NHL level, Boxing Day one of the few guaranteed days off. David imagines it was chaotic at the Lourdes house when Jake was young, between Christmas, Jake’s birthday, and the fact that hockey tournaments always landed on the days after Christmas. All of Jake’s favourite things, all at once. David’s sure Jake never complained, would say there was nothing to complain about if asked. Knows that what sounds like a nightmare to David is often something Jake inexplicably enjoys.

But it’s one thing to decide that Jake should have a birthday party that he doesn’t have to share with another holiday — or half birthday party, he supposes — and it’s something else entirely to make it happen. Not the guest list — all he needed to do was tell Allie, and she assured him that she’d make sure everyone who mattered would show up, and that she’d be discreet. 

Supplies were also not too hard, though it did get a little overwhelming, how many options there were. He’s perfectly capable of figuring out catering — and even if he wasn’t, Kiro promised he would walk him through it. He was teasing when he said it, but the sort of teasing that if David asked, he would do it, no questions asked. Probably with some more teasing, but that’s just Kiro’s default. David wouldn’t be surprised to hear Kiro cracked jokes in his sleep.

But it isn’t until David’s at the Lourdes’ lake house, surrounded by bags of decorations and party favours, some he brought from Washington, some he bought in Detroit, concerned he didn’t have enough, that he realises he doesn’t have the first idea how to put together all those disparate parts to create something festive. 

Well, he knows the logistics — streamers get hung up, balloons get inflated, the ‘happy birthday’ banner gets hung. None of it is hard, even if he suspects some of it is meant to be done by two or more people. The banner will present a problem, but David’s smart. He can figure it out, and look things up if he has to. It’ll be fine.

David is dangerously close to flinging every single decoration out the window when he hears a car door shut, and all frustration is replaced by panic, because if Jake walks in the door right now, it will look more like an ineffectual robbery than a surprise party.

He jumps up at the knock on the door, though he’s relieved: Jake would never knock, especially considering he doesn’t expect David to be here right now. As far as Jake’s aware, David isn’t coming to Michigan for three more days.

Allie waves at the door’s camera when David checks it, then waves again when he opens the door, like she thinks he may not have seen her the first time.

“Thought you might need help,” Allie says, and David’s torn between offence that Allie just assumed he would need assistance, and relief, because he does need assistance. Rather desperately.

“What happened to the balloons?” Allie asks, after she follows him inside.

He hadn’t wanted to use helium, after reading about the inevitable shortage down the line — he knows one tank won’t make a difference, but he still doesn’t want to contribute — but once he started inflating the balloons himself he realised why people buy them. It is not, he thinks, just for the buoyancy. It takes awhile to inflate them, and they sag if they’re taped to the walls, cluster, looking deflated, on the floor if they aren’t. They look sad. There’s so much effort involved in something that ends up looking half-assed anyway.

“It was too hard to inflate them,” David mumbles, which is true, and doesn’t involve how poorly things went after they were inflated.

“David,” Allie says, starting to smile. “You’re a pro athlete. You’re like the epitome of strong lungs.”

“I felt ridiculous,” David admits.

“Well, I can’t fix that,” Allie says. “But I can look ridiculous with you.”

David would have thought it’d be worse, looking ridiculous in front of someone else as well as feeling ridiculous, but for some reason it’s easier. He doesn’t feel any less ridiculous, but at least it takes less time. And Allie’s better at arranging the balloons in a way that looks less depressing, more like the preparations for a party than the aftermath. But even improved, it looks — David didn’t want it to look like this. David wanted it to be better than this.

“This is silly,��� David says. “This all looks — this is silly.”

“It looks festive,” Allie says.

“It looks like a kid’s birthday party,” David says, feeling utterly defeated.

“David,” Allie says. “Look at me.”

David looks away from the drooping balloons, the slightly off-centre streamers, the mediocrity of it all. Not even mediocrity. It doesn’t look at all like he wanted it to. It doesn’t look like David even tried.

“He’s going to be so psyched,” Allie says. “You know that, right? It could look like crap and he’d still be psyched because you did it.”

“So you’re saying it looks like crap,” David says.

“No,” Allie says.

David gives her a doubtful look.

“It looks like you did it yourself,” Allie says. “With your super athlete lungs and my incredible balance.”

Considering she fell off a ladder an hour ago, David does not think this is a compliment.

“He’s used to the Christmas tree still being up and eating leftovers for dinner, David,” Allie says. “He really doesn’t care.”

“I know,” David says. “I just wanted it to be — I don’t know.”

“Special?” Allie asks.

“I—” David says. “Yes.”

“And if I say it’s special because you did it you’re just going to give me that look again,” Allie says

David frowns at her, and she laughs.

“Yeah, that one,” she says. “But you know Jake would say the exact same thing.”

David does know that.

“And you know he’d mean it, right?” Allie asks.

He knows that too.

“And consider it practice,” Allie says. “Because you just gave our whole family an excuse to crash the lake house and drink beer and eat cake, so this is, one hundred percent, going to be an annual thing now.”

“It is?” David asks.

“Oh yeah,” Allie says.

David looks around at the work they’ve done, knows there’s still so much more to do. How apparently it’s going to be an annual task. He takes one breath, another.

“Do you know what everyone will want to eat?” he asks, and Allie’s mouth tips up like she’s maybe about to tease him, but that’s a price he’s willing to pay

“Come on, David,” Allie says. “We’re going to buy out the entire chip aisle.”

David follows Allie to her car, protesting that decision the entire way.

Hallberg Rassy 36, un voilier nordique qui allie confort et qualités marines

Le Hallberg Rassy 36 est un voilier qui représente très bien la croisière selon les pays nordiques. Un voilier confortable et très bien construit. Le chantier Hallberg Rassy a une longue histoire. Ce chantier suédois est issu du rachat du chantier Hallberg par son concurrent direct, Christoph Rassy, en 1972. Ce spécialiste du voilier de croisière est un des principaux chantiers nordiques. Mais c'est aussi celui qui représente le plus l’esprit de ces bateaux. La gamme HR est une des gammes les plus connues en Europe et propose des bateaux devenus des références depuis 40 ans, comme le HR302 ou le HR36. Le Hallberg Rassy 36 est justement une des plus belles réussites du chantier et un bateau qui reste un de ceux qui marquent l’histoire du chantier et de la plaisance européenne.

Hallberg Rassy 36, un chantier et un architecte de renom

Le Hallberg Rassy 36 est un bateau bien né, c’est le moins que l’on puisse dire. En effet, si le chantier suédois est réputé pour la qualité de sa fabrication, il s'est associé avec un des meilleurs architectes de l'époque.  Il s'agit de German Frers, un des grands noms du yachting et de la plaisance. Cet architecte argentin est un des plus reconnus au monde. Il a conçu son premier bateau en 1958. Après plusieurs yachts de luxe et de compétions, il sera appelé par des chantiers comme Bénéteau, Dufour et Hallberg Rassy, pour dessiner plusieurs types voiliers, de régate et de croisière. Mais c’est bien avec ce dernier que l’histoire sera la plus durable. En effet, cette collaboration pour le  HR 36 est la première d’une longue série avec le chantier. photo chantier Le Hallberg Rassy 36 est donc un bateau de 10 mètres qui avait tout pour convaincre. Et ce sera bien le cas. 600 unités sortiront du chantier entre 1989 et 2006. Un véritable succès commercial. Lors de sa carrière, le bateau connaitra une évolution, en 1995, avec le remplacement du tableau arrière inversé par un tableau arrière proposant une plage de bain. Ces deux versions seront nommées MKI et MKII.

Un voilier marin et bien construit

Le HR36 est un voilier exceptionnel de par sa fabrication. Ce bateau était déjà dans le durable avant l’heure. En effet, le chantier suédois a construit un voilier de qualité largement supérieur à la moyenne, fait pour durer. Autant dire qu’il y a de la matière. Il est très bien échantillonné, à tous les niveaux. Un point qui avait été remarqué par la presse, à sa sortie. Mais le Hallberg Rassy 36 n’est pas un bateau ennuyant en mer. Si le bateau est plus lourd que la moyenne, surtout par rapport à un Feeling 1090 ou un Sun Odyssey 34 par exemple, l’architecte a adapté le plan de voilure en fonction. Dans le même temps, le rapport de lest, de 50%, permet d’avoir un bateau sécurisant en mer et qui tient bien son cap. Du coup, si le HR36 n’est pas un voilier de régate, il reste vivant et agréable à la barre.

Le confort à la suédoise

Si le Hallberg Rassy est bien construit, il est aussi très confortable. C’est un bateau nordique, pensé, à ses débuts, pour naviguer en mer adriatique, pas connue pour être la plus douce. Ce bateau est donc pensé pour vivre en mer, en sécurité et confortablement. Le confort commence par le cockpit. Le cockpit central permet de rester au sec par mauvais temps et d’être bien protégé derrière le pare brise. Un aménagement typiquement nordique. Cette configuration réduit un peu le volume disponible dans le cockpit mais offre plus de confort à l’extérieur et une configuration originale sous le pont. Le bateau offre deux cabines. Une à l’avant, assez classique et l’autre à l’arrière. Le cockpit central permet de dégager une petite coursive pour passer du carré vers l’arrière. Cette configuration permet d’isoler les deux cabines et d’offrir un beau confort.
