God I hold such a grudge against Niall for not supporting Louis at one of his concerts that I won't listen to any of his music. My friends think I'm super petty but Louis was there for him and Niall could find the time to go be seen at Harrys show but I guess he was too busy for every Louis concert. I'm so glad Louis didn't go to nialls London show.
I mean I think Niall went to Harry's show because he wanted to go, not to be seen and create publicity for Harry; but you have my full blessing to be as petty as you want, literally the ONLY reason you should listen to Niall's music is if it makes you happy to do that so if you don't feel like it for any reason at, oh well! That's that!
But I will say that I don't think Louis and Niall are refusing to support each other: I think they just don't hang out/ their shows aren't on each other's radar. I imagine if Louis messaged Niall like "hey you should come to my show!" (or vice versa) that Niall would, but that Louis wouldn't even think of it, and they probably didn't even really know about each others' shows coming up. Whereas we know Harry and Niall still make an effort to hang out (and Harry probably did message him about it, it seems like the sort of thing he'd be on top of.) While I'm sure either would be so pleased to run into the other (as we saw when Louis was teased with the possibility at the Rolling Stone awards) it looks to me like Louis and Liam are in touch off and on, Niall and Harry make time to see each other, and we obviously have no idea about Louis and Harry as that's HIGH LEVEL CLASSIFIED REDACTED WE'D HAVE TO KILL YOU INFO but aside from that... they just aren't in each others' day to day lives and don't think about it that much is my guess and like... it is what it is. I mean I'll tell you, you get older you get busy and suddenly you don't see some friends for a year at a time. But like it's fine! You're still friends! It doesn't mean you don't like em it just... happens that way. IDK I'm not too worried about it

Hello, im wehaveagathering from my main blog, im kind of obsessed with your hockey poetry edits and I think your blog is great! I guess I kind of have a dumb question, where do you find the images you use for your edits? Did you say Getty in your tags?? I’ve gotten into making icons recently (and i have ideas for poetry edits hrrrghhh) but it’s hard to find high res images. Thanks for your time and I hope you have a nice day :)
first of all thank you so much 🥹 and second that’s absolutely not a dumb question!! i do pull a lot of images from getty and i’ll also download pictures from sports articles (i got a lot of the hugheses pictures from online access articles, for example), or sometimes from instagram/facebook/twitter if an account is public. freely admitting that i am not technologically advanced? inclined? in the slightest here, but the image editing software that you use and how you import/export photos with it makes a difference in the quality of them as well!
if you haven’t seen them yet, i would also recommend checking out @simmyfrobby @national-hockey-lesbian @hauntedppgpaints @tapedsleeves @starscelly and @captainbradmarchand’s blogs just off the top of my head!!! they might know more places to get high res images and also i love their work 💕🫶

watched the ahsoka trailer and while i am always excited to see more of ahsoka (just because she personally means. so much to me, truly the character i actively grew up with, and maybe if i had a nickel for every time ahsoka tano came back to me in a significant coming-of-age moment in my life, i’d have like. three or four nickels which isn’t a whole lot, but it’s funny it happened that often), i’m still so. annoyed that this show isn’t animated, and it makes me a little bitter that disney/lucasfilms focuses more on cgi/live action stuff these days. i think what bothers me most is just that. ahsoka got her origins in animation, and the ahsoka show also looks like it’s a prequel of rebels, which is also an animated show . . . but oh well, we digress.

ok guys i dont wanna be a hater but im gonna be 100% honest i didnt rlly like the nimona movie 😭 I MEAN IT WAS FUN. it was nice. but i feel like it was missing everything that made me like the original graphic novel and honestly by the last like 30 minutes i was kind of just waiting for it to be over so i could read the book again 😭 NO HATE TO ANYONE WHO RLLY LIKED IT believe me when i say i dont think it is bad or anything. but i feel like just sooooo much was changed that it didnt feel like nimona at all to me. idk how to explain it, im sure once i reread the book i’ll be able to put it into words since the original will be more fresh in my mind. i think it was good but as someone who was literally obsessed w the og graphic novel it was honestly kinda disappointing. but i dont rlly care honestly its still rlly cool it got a movie!!
but in my mind at least it proves that some things dont need to be made into a movie. ppl act like movies are the best form a piece of media can take and if something gets made into a movie then that’d be the peak form of it. but i honestly think nimona works wayyyyyy better in its original graphic novel form. most of the early stuff is way more slice of life lowkey stuff that lets you get attached to ballister and nimona as characters and get invested in their relationship w each other, BEFORE all the angsty final act stuff happens. also there honestly was just a ton of stuff that felt to me like it worked better in the original, like jousting tournament thing instead of the knighting ceremony, nimona being captured and being forced to turn into her “true” form rather than this new version with it just sort of happening bcuz of Emotions, etc. also the movie suffered from a lot of pacing and tone issues imo but the former i think is just from that lack of the slow buildup of their friendship, and the latter is something that i think just worked better in the book. idk again I’LL BE ABLE TO SAY THIS STUFF MORE CONCRETELY WHEN I ACTUALLY REREAD THE BOOK but i dont remember there being so much jokes and goofy shit DURING serious scenes. like iirc in the original during serious scenes it was SERIOUS. but in the movie theres so many unnecessary unfunny jokes and stuff. idk IDK i probably just had too high expectations idk. anyways

so weird to me when ppl reblog art and are like "hate x character but this is cool" or "not a fan of *thing that's a major stylistic component of the piece* but I love this other part of it" like that is so crazy rude?? idk if other artists feel the same way I just find it so exhausting like if I made art of a character and someone was like HATE this guy but the art is cool or if someone tagged my art saying they aren't usually a fan of this or that bit of character design or a color or whatever but like a different thing about it it would piss me off? I feel like as a general rule if you are reblogging somebody's art it's shitty to list all of the things you Don't like about it? to this complete stranger on the internet?? like saying you're Making An Exception about a part of a piece you hate that's like. an integral aspect of the art is not the compliment you think it is and you're being an asshole

aaaauuuuggghhhhh this video (warning: choi san choi sanning) is not only a great (and lethal) choi san sampler but also proves why ateez performances fuck: it's the drama, babey!!! all the stuff they've apparently been criticized for -- the shaking, the weird expressions that border on scary/possessed -- are incredibly captivating and simply fun to watch. it's interesting. i'm not going as far as to say that if you don't look at least a bit freaky then what the fuck are you doing on stage, because there's a plenty of performers that kill their audience with slow, elegant and fully controlled movements. but it's like -- there's coming out on stage to sing and dance, and there's performing a character/a story/an emotional journey. and atz very often (not always) do the latter! when the demon line lads pull those intense faces, roll their eyes, do lightning fast switches between crazy laughter and serial killer face, i can't help but think they're seeing something else besides the stage lights! there's a story, there are events, there's Stuff. it's just like playing a role. i feel i've said it before, possibly even more than once, but having lively, emotionally intense (i'm still not over inception) performances in times when earnestness is ~cringe~ is really cool.
