Something I've never really understood is why the majority of people seem to think that in Ragbros Diluc is the older sibling.
Cos, firstly, there isn't anything in game (to my knowledge) that says he's older. And I've seen people say that it's implied, but really?
Diluc is more immature than Kaeya is. He has worse emotional regulation, for one. Kaeya is described as "his shadow", but to me that was more because Diluc is the honoured prodigy heir and Kaeya is the adoptee outsider, not because Kaeya is younger.
And Kaeya also just acts older? Diluc is giving petulant angsty teenager and Kaeya is giving teasing older brother who's refusing to take Diluc seriously.
Also half of this is just. Diluc is 22. Based on webtoon info he is one of the few characters with a confirmed age (give or take a year). I can't imagine Kaeya as younger than 22. I can barely wrap my head around Diluc as 22 when you remember he's unhinged and traumatised enough to cosplay as a 45 year old, but Kaeya? The Kaeya with such uncle energy over Klee? Who's implied to have taught Bennett how the swordfight? Who teases Noelle?
Ik Hoyo makes all these characters weirdly young because they wanna play early-twenties-impact but if Kaeya isn't at least mid twenties then I think this whole world is a lie, nevermind the sky.

What are your thoughts on Screwllums letter to Svarog? I'm open for discusstions.
[OOC:]
My immediate thought upon reading it was "this is super wholesome and cute" and yeah, I still definitely think that, but I've got a lot more to say now that it's been sitting in my brain for few days so buckle up:
First off, this man is so totally autistic /aff (as is literally any robot character in any piece of media, you can't convince me that an allistic robot is a thing that exists). Over explaining to make sure the exact point he's trying to get across does so as accurately as possible and apologizing in advance for accidentally crossing boundaries (considering that at this point in time Svarog is basically a complete stranger), as an autistic person myself it's very relatable to see.
Second, I think it's really funny that he only knows of Svarog's existence because he watched what is essentially an E-Sports tournament, which he only watched because Silver Wolf practically begged him to (because I think we can pretty safely assume that the "Stellaron Hunter friend" he was referring to was her); that just adds onto the relatability for me because I also do not give a flying fuck about E-Sports, he's so real for that. I love Screwllum and Silver Wolf's dynamic with each other, they give off uncle-niece vibes and it's very fun (what I don't understand and will never understand is people shipping them with each other, it makes me really uncomfortable for several reasons, but for the sake of my sanity I'm not going to get into it).
Third, the letter honestly just confirmed some of the headcanons I had once I sat down and read all the lore regarding the Machine Emperor Wars about a month ago (which I highly recommend btw it's super interesting stuff). I guess I sort of had the fear that Hoyo would try to make it so the IPC just completely dropped every last bit of their idea to exterminate all mechanical life the second Screwllum proved to them that robots aren't inherently harmful to humanity, and that everything was just magically okay after that and humans and machines could live in perfect harmony with absolutely no conflict whatsoever. Thank fuck they didn't do that because that would've been both super boring and super unrealistic, Screwllum acknowledges within the letter that there are many places where robots are regarded only as tools, they don't often have the same sort of foot holding in society that humans do, and he hopes that changes someday.
(one of the headcanons that I have regarding this is that there's a secretive group of people within the IPC that are specifically trying to fuck up Screwllum's reputation and the reputations other robots who are also massive public figures that advocate for robot rights, but especially in Screwllum's case they haven't found much success because that man does not have a single problematic line of code in his programming)
Lastly, I would kill to see Screwllum and Svarog properly interact in the future, I think they'd get along so well and their dynamic would be so fun. I don't necessarily ship them, but more power to you if you do, honestly I might eventually be convinced to ship them if more stuff like this shows up, this was super cute (also, before anyone reading gets confused, the "we will come to call each other "brothers"" bit at the end of the letter does not mean anything that would make shipping these two characters quote-on-quote "problematic". The word "brothers" in this context purely refers to a strong bond of friendship and mutual understanding. I honestly should not have to explain that, but considering that the internet is the internet, I figured I ought to).

So, guess who finally played through the Kaveh Hangout? That's right, it's me!
As per usual, spoilers UTC. But have this spoiler-free TL;DR of how I liked it: I actually gave him a crown straight after - I relate to this man an unhealthy amount, istg.
Tumblr media
He is literally the first character we start the hangout at 0 hearts with. Poor baby *pat pat* Also istg he has an alcohol problem... drink responsibly peeps!
Tumblr media
Nothing to see here, just Cyno casually roasting Kaveh.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Honey pls- Where is your self-esteem?? You're literally the most famous architect in Sumeru. Trust me... I get his sentiment though, more than I'd like to admit.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
*plays "I'm bringing sexy back" by Justin Timberlake*
Tumblr media
He's so snarky and saracstic, god help me... I love him. They literally put my bf in this game - hoyo pls...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They may bicker 24/7 but Haitham actually cares a lot about Kaveh. Awww, precious!! Also... Kaveh you blind fool. Open your eyes, then you'd see that people actually care about you and your well-being (I'm one to talk here tbh...).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kaveh also designed the bridge in Port Ormos aside from the Palace of Alcazarzaray. He's a very gifted bean!
Tumblr media
Just @ me next time, Kaveh...
Tumblr media
Kaveh's mom was a beauty and also stubborn and a perfectionist. All traits he canonically inherited. Kaveh confirmed beautiful. We love to see it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
*yells* SUMERU SQUAD'S PARENTS WERE CANONICALLY FRIENDS!! I will never recover from this. this also revealed that both of Alhaitham's parents seem to have been "stiff" in their demeanor. I wonder where their son got that from... lol!
Tumblr media
Next up: Sumeru squad dinner to talk about Collei! She plans to enroll into the Akademiya as well and Alhaitham apparently also tutors her from time to time (I cannot tell you how much I squealed there... to everyone saying he is cold and an asshole... no he ain't!! He just can'T express it. *cries*)
Oh, and ofc... here they go bickering again...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Istg... I love these 4 dorks so much. I'd give anything to join one of their gatherings.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some final thoughts and why I relate to Kaveh so much?
He literally trusts people way too easily and then ends up getting hurt or disappointed.
He's an artist and our perspective on art aligns.
He's a perfectionist.
He has no self-esteem and self-confidence at all and is plagued by self-doubts all the time.
Thanks for reading if you read this far! Take this cookie 🍪

oh no...blade and dan heng combine into hsr's xiao, change my mind
edgelord singularly focused on death but also a miserable wet cat
wind boy saved by space zhongli
I mentioned sampo because for a second I had this image where DH does stay on xianzhou for at least a bit of the story and our teammates get rotated around in every world from now. and I wouldn't be surprised if sampo's relevant again in the future because he never betrays his friends and uh, you know the final scene in belobog
anyway when we last spoke the reason I brought up the foxgirl is because of the lore in the passerby of wandering cloud relic set. if you haven't read there's a line that seems to imply that dan heng did something to blade's "beloved." some people interpret the beloved as blade's pre-immortality self and boy I sure hope so
Yeah! That final scene in Belobog! I'm still torn between "Oh this is foreshadowing" and "Hoyo doing a bit". I think it's a bit more than anything. That's just how much I don't care to see him again.
Unfortunately, I think Sampo can betray anyone for the right price. But I am also aware of like 5% of his whole story.
You see, I read that lore on braces so many times and....it seems like either a mess of a storyline or a bad translation. Maybe @scalpel-mom-mori can help?
One, Foxgirl beloved seems to be a woman. Which would be in line with Honkai lesbians.
Two, in the trailer it's very confirmed that Jingliu was mara struck. Which has nothing to do with Dan Heng aka IL.
Three, Foxgirl's lover died in battle according to the light cone.
As far as those who are referred to as "beloved", those are out. It cannot be Jingliu. IL didn't turn her into a monstrosity. Tho, it's not impossible for Blade to be pulling an Otto and be obsessed with a lesbian whose sword he carries. But the lore isn't loring correctly for this to be the case.
What I think is happening in the sentence, is that it's overly poetic and too awkward to be translated into English without causing confusion. In my head, that's the part written from basically Dan Heng's perspective. He, an owner of the other bracer, turned HIS BELOVED, aka the Unnamed, into a monstrosity, which caused a rift of resentment between them. In fact, Blade lore's does speak of love and hate between him and Imbibitor Lunae. So it would fit.
Imbibitor turned his beloved into a monstrosity aka Unauthorized Immortal. Which is a massive crime. IL becomes persona non grata to Loufu. And on top of that, Blade fucking hates IL for taking away his mortality, he has faced nothing good since then.

Okay at this point I must be your fav anon.
Thank you for the tbhk matchup!! You're actually the first person to tell me that I would match with lemon and omg 😭😭 you're so right!!!
Could I have the same thing but with Genshin?? I can't believe you write for my favorite games/shows😭😭 istg I was meant to find your blog!!!
I was so torn between which characters to match you with because I wanted someone who looks to be in your age range (since hoyo never really confirms ages and some are much harder to tell than others.....) And unfortunately there aren't many characters who look to be sort of 15-18 so it was tricky </3 But !!! I decided that Chongyun and Nilou word work well with you :3
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chongyun (And some accidental Xingqiu)
This boy is veeery very timid so he appreciates your calmness <3
Loves listening to you talk!! He loves your voice and he's not much of a talker himself so it's always nice to hear you ramble :3
We know how he is when Xingqiu teases him, though.. 😭
He will NOT be able to handle it
He's going through 10 popsicles per second probably
You and Xingqiu would probably be very good friends though
Chongyun is a very hard worker, so he'll likely attempt to get you outside and moving a lot more
Will never ever pressure you though !!!
He feels too bad to ever "force" you to do anything
Even if it's for your own good
If he has to, he'll get Xingqiu or Shenhe to do it for him
I'm sorry but I don't think he would ever get your jokes......
Would never judge you or anything though !!! Just genuine confusion
Xingqiu always laughs though
Or makes fun of you if it was a bad joke
Lovingly
I'm so sorry this is basically just a mix of Chongyun and Xingqiu I'm crying
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nilou
Congratulations you got one of the prettiest people in genshin impact !!!!!
I'm worried this is just gonna turn into me rambling about Nilou
Anyways she would LOVE you.
She thinks you're sosososo cute
She enjoys how calm you are, but finds it adorable how talkative you get as the two of you grow closer
Will get flustered if you tease her, but is very good at hiding it
She's gotta keep up that elegant appearance yk ^_^
Will borderline beg you to dance with her
Always gets you to do her warmup routine with her to get you moving
Loves teaching you how to dance, and would be thrilled if you were ever willing to learn <3
She's so in love it's embarrassing
Loves it when you get shy and will purposefully do things to make you nervous or flustered
Her go-to is kissing your hand or the corner of your lips :3
Sometimes she doesn't get your jokes, so you may have to explain, but she loves them either way
Will laugh even if she has no idea what you're talking about
All in all she loves and adores you soso much and thinks you're adorable <3
A/N
I'm so sorry this is so rambly, I'm sleep deprived rn 😭 Also I'm soso glad you've been enjoying my writing :3 You're so nice, I love getting your asks in my inbox <333 Have a wonderful day dear anon ^_^

Your mental gymnastics of a theory SUCKS
The narrative puts Kaeya as the direct descendant of the founder of the Abyss Order, he has to know about the connection either way, either as a warning or experienced it himself while he lived underground.
Hoyo wouldn't make an entire mission with that info only to be like "Haha! Actually Kaeya is the 20th cousin once removed of the founder of the Abyss so he has nothing to do with it even though he is conflicted between two sides." And I'm sure that what remained of Khaenri'ah converted to the Abyss Order.
I am pretty sure that he wasn't ment to be a spy in a traditional sense, I think this is the only aspect he is left in the dark with because you'd expect a spy report regulary to the ones he is spying for.
But the history of the Clan, the Abyss Order, ect. I am pretty sure he knows as much as he should habe been taught.
If he was truly ignorant he'd be in shock, denial or correct it or he would have come of the thought himself and still be im denial. Instead as Dain notes it is odd that Kaeya accepts it and claims some bullshit about answering some questions about his past.
The game had enough chances to have him fight the Abyss Order but instead he thinks about how hilichurls don't have the mental capacity and instead of fighting the mage or going to a fighting position, Diluc does it for him. Later during an attack he sneaks inside and got intel from them by "fraternizing", he is way too focused on treasure hoarders and never once on hilichurls and the abyss order, yet the game tells us he speaks hilichurlian.
Not to mention the change from Heart of the Abyss to Glacisl Heart
Well anyways I'm pretty sure the narrative regarding him will be in my favor rather than yours
I thought about whether or not to respond to this.
And that's not because I don't agree or am against your theory. It's a nice theory and to some extent, I agree with you. Kaeya probably knows more than he lets on, and to some extent faked his mild unawareness. As he said he has had his doubts, so it's not so much news to him. I tried to develop and look at the interaction in a new way.
It's okay and even usual that you don't agree with it or find that it goes against some of your theories and evidence.
But you know you can be more respective about it. And that's the part that ticked me off a bit.
When posting, I genuinely thought you were interested in a discussion. When answering your thoughts, I agree, I did go off the track a bit from your ideas and thus formed new theories. There's no telling whether it's correct or anything and I never presented it as THE theory, but as A theory among many, as some interesting thoughts I had.
In the end, Hoyo has not confirmed either of our theories. And the thing about theories is that they're about connecting existing facts/info and either making direct connections or abstracting a wider connection and forming a theory out of it. So in a way forming different theories and finding different connections is a way of mapping out possible outcomes and/or solutions. And especially in regards to theorizing about fictional narratives, it's partly about having fun too.
So am I a bit delusional.... probably? But am I having fun forming different theories, yes!
PS! I hope we can stay civil about this. I am raising a toast to your theory and I will celebrate if your theory turns out to be true. I just don't get why you had to be so salty about it.
Anyways have a good day! And don't let me change your mind, keep making theories. Your message was a good prompt for my ideas and thanks for knocking some reality into me. :)

The letter I’m never going to send, in two languages, with the sole hope you’ll find it and read it someday.
-
-
English:
Dear you,
It’s been a while since I’ve written you a letter, I decided to do it because sometimes it’s easier to give away, drop off or vent while expanding into words.
I don’t know, it’s difficult for me to accept that I ought to finally let go the incomprehensible and senseless love I feel. I had to accept it is love, since I can’t see any other logical explanation.
I never told you, but surely you realized. It’s not easy to me to hide the smiles that I outlined while listening to your name, or the pinch or rouge that abounded my cheeks when seeing you smile. With that smile that’s so yours, so real. I’ve gotta accept that smile will keep making my days, but please don’t direct any to me.
You found my weakness, and however you were, in their respected occasions, my strengths. I’m talking about percentages, irreal numbers and some data impossible to test by science. I’m talking about a 75% on the process of getting over while in reality, I’m not even close to 3%.
Nothing will ever surpass that little jump my stomach does when seeing you, or how my heart sinks when you talk to me. That little game we did, a little flirty a little childish, was what made the words to silly when coming out.
I’m not letting you go completely. That’d be the worst punishment I could get me. However, I’m backing away. Because finally I know I have to let loose because otherwise gripping on, could cost me more tears which I’m not able to pour anymore.
I’ll keep hanging here, if you need it, and I’ll never doubt on supporting you, even if we’re far whenever your heart breaks apart. What can I say? You’re my weakness. Maybe I won’t be wasting love for you or waiting for you to finally deign to turn to me.
But if you ever decide you wanna be in love, find some good old love, or expect for someone to dedicate you some good kisses, maybe, just maybe, I could come around.
I can’t assure you anything, but a part of me will always follow the idea of an ‘us’, for more impossible it is.
If they ever ask about me, don’t mention me. I’ll do that, I’ll avoid the sorrow of giving them the luxury of knowing I was in love with you. In love, ha, I loved you.
I don’t wanna use that verb in present, for I am afraid of the idea of seeing myself cry again, when I promised, that at least today I would remember you as something pretty. Something that never made me suffer, something in which I triumphed.
If you see me quiet, passing by without looking, don’t dare worrying, for I’m fine. I can confirm this you you in the most positive way. But please, don’t ask me to get close, because I know it’s a trap, and my wounds are slowly and just healing and falling again would be stupidly illogical from me. I’m taking care of myself, because even if I can’t roughly accept it, it hurts seeing you with her.
And not because I’m jealous, but because I remember how much she dared to hurt you and I’m not sure if you’re in the position to be hurt again.
We’re not equal, for you haven’t had the will to get out of the void. I do it easily because I’m am conscious of the risks I abide by falling. However, you’ve built barriers, and I’m concerned that opening up a door to someone who’s hurt you more than once is ideal. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy you’re willing to let your walls down, but I think letting the enemy to tear them down is a risky move.
I just want you to be happy, even if it hurts because you’re not by my side.
Let me go, I’ll continue my path.
With love, desperation and sadness from letting you go,
Someone who once tried to tear up the walls.

At least 58 people are missing and presumed dead from the massive fire that engulfed a residential high-rise building in London earlier this week, police said on Saturday.
This latest figure includes the 30 people already confirmed dead; 16 of those bodies are being held in a mortuary, including one person who died after being transported to a local hospital. The others have been recovered from the scorched structure, according to Metropolitan Police Service Commander Stuart Cundy.
“The figure of 58 are those who are missing and that we have to presume are dead,” Cundy said at a news conference in London Saturday afternoon. “It might be that some of those are safe and well, but for whatever reason have not reached [out] to let us know. Again, I would urge them if that is you, I don’t care the reason, please, please contact us.”
Cundy said the Metropolitan Police Service has formally identified one of the victims who died in the June 14 blaze as 23-year-old Mohammad Alhajali, a resident of the apartment building in the West London neighborhood of North Kensington. Alhajali and his brothers fled their home in Daraa, Syria, due to the ongoing civil war and moved to London in 2014.
“Mohammad was a very amazing and kind person. He gave love to everyone. He came to the U.K. because he had ambitions and aims for his life and for his family. Our whole family will miss Mohammad dearly and he will never be forgotten. To God we belong and to him we return,” Alhajali’s family said in a statement released by police.

Mohammad Alhajali, 23, has been identified as one of the victims who died in a fire at a residential high-rise building in London, June 14, 2017.
Although the flames have now been extinguished, Cundy said rescuers don’t expect to find any survivors inside the building at this point.
Investigators believe the fire started at around 1 a.m. local time Wednesday on the fourth floor of the 24-story Grenfell Tower. The London Fire Brigade dispatched more than 200 firefighters, at least 40 fire engines and about 20 ambulance crews in an effort to battle the inferno.
It took nearly two hours to gain control of the conflagration, according to fire officials.
“This is an unprecedented incident,” London Fire Commissioner Dany Cotton told reporters Wednesday night. “In my 29 years of being a firefighter, I have never, ever seen anything of this scale.”
The Metropolitan Police Service, which is leading the ongoing investigation, believes it has identified the origin of the fire, which so far does not appear to have been intentional. The exact cause of the fire is still unknown.
In addition to those killed, the blaze injured at least 74 people. As of Saturday afternoon, 19 remain hospitalized, with 10 in critical condition, according to police.
It’s unclear exactly how many residents were inside the building at the time. But the tower, built in 1974, contained 120 apartments, according to its management company, the Kensington and Chelsea Tenant Management Organization.
Cundy has said that the ongoing operation to recover and identify all victims is a complex process, and some may never be identified.
“The conditions inside Grenfell Tower mean that the search-and-recovery operation to find and recover the victims is extremely challenging. The upper floors of the block are particularly hazardous due to the damage caused by the fire. The sad reality is that this work will take some time, stretching into many, many weeks,” the police commander said at a news conference Friday afternoon.
“Sadly, the nature of injuries caused by such an intense fire will mean the identification process will take some time. But it would also be deeply distressing for families for us to release wrong information,” he added.
The fire has left the building almost completely charred, and there were concerns about the tower’s structural integrity, as it appeared to lean slightly to one side.
Search-and-recovery efforts were paused on Friday over safety concerns, but resumed Saturday afternoon, police said.
At the news conference Saturday afternoon, Cundy reiterated that the time it will take to find and recover victims will be “significant.”
“Both myself and colleagues from London Fire Brigade have already said it will take weeks. It may take longer than that. My commitment to families is that as soon as we can, we will locate and recover their loved ones,” he told reporters. “The reason we had to pause the search and recovery yesterday was for the safety of our staff. We do not want another fatality arising out of this tragedy.”
Following a meeting of the Grenfell Tower task-force on Saturday, London Mayor Sadiq Khan announced that a “London-wide local authority recovery operation” was established Friday in response to the devastating fire.
Khan said people were frustrated by the lack of information about the missing and the dead, as well as a lack of coordination between support services. Residents who survived the tower blaze lost everything and have no idea where they are going to live, or how they will get back on their feet.
“The government must ensure the recovery operation receives all resources and expertise they need,” Khan said in a statement posted to Facebook. “I have stressed to the task-force the need for local residents and the wider public to be provided with as much information as possible and for there to be maximum transparency.”
The move comes after Khan wrote an open letter to U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May, who chairs the task-force, saying people were frustrated by the lack of information about the victims, as well as a lack of coordination between support services.
“The scale of this tragedy is clearly proving too much for the local authority to cope with on their own,” the mayor said in his open letter to the prime minister.
After meeting with survivors of the fire on Friday, May announced a 5 million pound ($6.4 million) fund to help them in their plight. The fund includes a guarantee to rehouse Grenfell Tower residents as close as possible to where they previously lived.
The Conservative Party leader has been criticized for failing to meet with survivors of the fire on her first visit to the site earlier this week.
ABC News’ Rashid Haddou, Joshua Hoyos and Joseph Simonetti contributed to this report. The Associated Press also contributed to this report.
