“You’re not Jimin.”

Jungkook’s eyes snap open, and he takes note of the change in air. Chalk it up to the open window or the fact that the rain’s evaporated, but he can’t help the pinch of pain in his heart as he realizes that you’re far, far gone from this world.

And in your place, is you. Not quite you, but it’s almost scary how easy it is to regard your visage and simple conversation.

“Jimin,” he repeats, as if he heard you wrong. “As in, Park Jimin? Tiny guy with a big ego?”

“Yes,” you reply blandly, like it’s the most obvious thing in the world. Your eyes are sparkless, flickering between your state of nakedness and his state of nakedness. “I know I wasn’t exactly sober last night, but I distinctly remember telling him he’d be in my bed tonight,” and you regard Jungkook with a sort of pointed look, unable to decipher your situation, “but here you are. Still cupping by boob.”

Out of reflex, he squeezes his palm. Yep, that’s yours.

A little part of him also wants to yell to the heavens because you failed to tell him you were hooking up with Park Jimin before all of this.

Okay technically you didn’t, but the person in front of him did.

His heart is fresh and stinging like a hot cut on the asphalt. He watches you take in your surroundings, humming when you notice the new clothes on the rack and the way your desk has been rearranged. Jungkook is trying very hard to be patient, after all you’re a stranger and suddenly he feels like he’s the one that’s known you all his life. Oh, how the tables have turned.

You stretch, testing out your limbs as they pop and crackle at your command. You run a hand through your strawberry-smelling hair, and Jungkook has to grip the sheets to not go by instinct and take you right then and there on this mattress. With a shameless groan of satisfaction, you flop against your bed. Jungkook tries, emphasis on try, to not watch as your breasts bounce and the way your hair flows around your pillow like the angel you are, but he’s rendered smitten.

“Uh,” boobies boobies boobies.

You pointedly ignore his piss-poor attempt at coherent conversation, staring up at the ceiling. “Ho—ly shit,” you curse freely, heaving an exhausted sigh, “I feel so sore.”

“S-sore?” Great, he found his voice.

“Yeah, like I’ve been in a coma or something,” but you think nothing of it, summing it up as a crazy dream from alcohol poisoning. You sit up straight, reaching for your phone. It’s not on your desk, but instead you find something far more interesting.

You reach for your Midnight Blue Citrus candle, frowning at the contents. The wax is nearly burnt to the end, the tips of the wicks charcoal black and frayed. Waving your used candle in Jungkook’s face you blame, “What the fuck, did you use all of this last night? I just bought this like, literally yesterday!”

His face falls, “What? You’ve had that candle for forever—”

“And why the heck it is so hot in the middle of February?”

Oh.

Something dark and sad creeps up Jungkook’s stomach, and he hates to be the one to tell you. February was when it all started, and his life changed with the presence of you. Jungkook tells himself repeatedly that the woman in this room is simultaneously the person he’s loved since winter and the stranger he feels that he’s meant to love with time. Considering everything’s happening all at once understanding it is still hard, but he’ll try for you.

It breaks his heart to see how you look lost and confused, like a child woken up from a debilitating nightmare. Your lips are bitten red and purple, trying your hardest not to show fear in front of him, a stranger. You’re frustrated as you try your hardest to shut the windows to block the incoming humidity from last night’s rain.

He says your name, sweet and soft. “It’s almost summer,” he says, his voice calm and collected.

“So are you telling me, that wasn’t a dream?”

The two of you stare at each other, unmoving. He tries not to squirm under your gaze, you watch him intently, scraping at the edge of your brain for any ideas. You’re hugging yourself, arms wrapping against your breasts as if you’re trying to hold your body together in a way that alludes to any brokenness you felt over these past two months.

Neither of you break the silence, and there’s a bang and a crash. Jungkook flinches at the tell-tale signs of the unwanted intruder, the fling of keys across your wooden table and a shrill call of your name.

“Who’s that?”

“Probably Hoseok,” Jungkook answers reluctantly, his thumb rubbing between his brows.

He ignores the extra cool air against his naked bits when he throws the blankets off his lap. Ignores the way you pointedly, shamelessly check him out as he throws on his sweats and a t-shirt. To his dismay he can’t ignore the burn in his cheeks when he knows how you’re scrutinizing him like a one-night stand, trying to recollect any type of concrete thought that would seem plausible enough to explain why you woke up in bed with him.

Throwing open your bedroom door and leaving you there, he cards a hand through his rogue bedhead to face a frantic Hoseok.

“It’s so early,” Hoseok warbles to himself, impressed that he’s managed to cop fresh donuts and coffee at nearly 7AM.

Jungkook sees nothing but an orange blob and Hoseok’s head, bleary and vibrating. Rubbing his eyes he says, “You just realized how early it is? Couldn’t you have stopped by a little later?”

“No, I couldn’t!” Hoseok’s now invading Jungkook’s personal space, as if you weren’t the bridge between their threads of a relationship, as if he and Hoseok could be friends. “I woke up a few hours ago and I couldn’t go back to sleep. I felt it, Jungkook. It was like an episode of the Twilight Zone. The air shifted and I felt like I was between two parallel universes—I swear on my bad knee that I’m not going through a drug trip—and I felt the world turning and changing and it was so fuckin’ weird I had to come here as soon as Dunkin’ opened. Didn’t you feel it too?”

“Yeah,” Jungkook exhales, not bothering to hide the disappointment. He smiles sadly, “it’s definitely not her.”

Hoseok’s expression and excitement over the world’s converging falters, and he pulls Jungkook into a hug. They’re not particularly close and Hoseok’s smaller in size compared to Jungkook, but for those five seconds he feels comforted as he hugs him back.

“Why don’t you go home and chill out, I don’t mind explaining things to her,” Hoseok offers, “and I’ll call you later and let you know how it went.”

“Okay,” Jungkook replies, voice slow, “that sounds like a good idea, actually.”

The situation is royally messed up, and he hates that he can’t blame it on anyone. Jungkook is a practical man, and he knows that he has no use when Hoseok is here with donuts and coffee. More importantly, there is no use torturing himself by letting his heart break in the presence of you.

“What is this, a party?” Taehyung’s bare feet smack against the hardwood, and he plops himself in the chair next to Hoseok, “did you get me coffee this time?”

The two of them bicker good-naturedly, with Hoseok explaining a little kindness goes a long way and Taehyung muttering that kindness doesn’t happen without caffeine. Jungkook excuses himself, feeling very much out of place as he moves to your bedroom to pack his things.

“You’re leaving?” you’re standing in the middle of your bedroom, now dressed in a long t-shirt and your hair tied clean and away from your face. You look pretty.

“Yeah,” he says shortly, stuffing his jeans in his bag and making sure all traces of him are gone from your bedroom. “Need to sort things out,” he excuses, and while you may not buy it, he really does. He feels heartbroken, angry at the world. Maybe he could visit Yoongi today and get a demo in, put all this pent-up emotion to good use. “But Hoseok brought you breakfast, he’s a good friend, he’ll explain everything.”

“But I don’t know Hoseok,” you mumble, picking at the hem of your band shirt. You’re pouting, stubborn.

“But you don’t know me either,” Jungkook retorts, not unkindly, but not exactly gentle. “I wouldn’t want to overwhelm you.”

There’s a hard rip at his zipper, putting in a little too much force as he seals away all his things into a compact backpack. Heck, he even went as far as to take back the hoodie he lent you last month, making sure the fabric is crisp and folded so he can stow it away from your curious eyes. He shoves on his denim jacket from last night, still lingering with the scents of sand and saltwater. It makes him sombre, and the selfish part of him wishes to bottle up that scent and tuck it away forever.

“You’re wrong,” you blurt when he moves toward the door. His hand lingers over the knob, “I do know you.”

He narrows his dark eyes, taking in your honest expression, “At Jimin’s job, maybe? I did a couple interviews in the beginning of February. Maybe we passed each other while you had lunch with him.”

“No. You sang to me, talked to me, as much as you could up until this moment.”

He remembers the stories you fed to him last night under the stars, shameless and full of love as you explained to him of his other self. The life where he’s a renowned singer, a Golden Boy, one of the most revered in his industry. A life he could only dream of, yet somewhere out there he’s living it in another body making that dream come true.

Thoughts are running through his head, memories that aren’t his own. He could only imagine what you must’ve gone through, recovering in a hospital bed for two months, unable to move but actively aware of the pain and anguish. How confused you must’ve been, aching to figure out what the hell is going on, acutely aware of the voices constantly chattering about your well-being.

One of those voices being Jeon Jungkook, who was probably taking care of you night and day.

His head is starting to throb, and he feels like he’s five seconds away from spiraling.

“I’d… I’d feel more comfortable around you, Jungkook,” you confess, reaching for his hand, “but if you need to, you can go,” you bite your lip, folding in on yourself once more, “if it hurts too much to be around me right now.”

He gladly takes your hand, rubbing his thumb between your palm. The familiar sparks he feels when he holds it return, but tamps it down for the sake of your vulnerability. It’s not your fault you’re in this situation. “No… I’m just gonna go home for a bit, clear my schedule,” he gives you a little smile, and he inflates a bit when you give him one of your own. “I’ll come back for you after breakfast.”

“You promise?”

“Promise.”

You pull him into an unexpected hug, suddenly fearing he may never come back.

“I always wondered what the man looked like behind the voice,” and you’re suddenly melting, feeling a sense of familiarity as you let your heart run faster than your brain when you let him hold you in his arms. He smells just like him, too.

His embrace is tight, and his arms fit in all the little curves and spots that make you feel warm and safe. “And am I living up to your expectations?” it’s a half-joke, after all the both of you are going simply by feeling and there’s no way in hell would he even attempt to compare himself to well, himself.

You pull away to look at him, really look at him. Honest, clear eyes. Jungkook thinks he sees the world in your gaze. “Only if you eat a donut before you go,” you reply with a shy smile.

At your defiant mention of food he can’t help but grin like a maniac, letting you tug him back out to sit at the counter with him and have breakfast. Like he said before, he can’t wait to fall in love all over again.

The 100 7x07

So...

Good points about the episode include the Diyoza and Hope scene yes to understanding each other and oh my gosh Hope saw Dev as a father my heart. Loved the Diyoza and Hope scenes.

Lindsey directed! Well done Lindsey I thought the directing was really good she did what she had to do I’m proud of her.

We got flashbacks that we should’ve gotten back in season five... Ok.

Still confused as to why Gabriel did the thing in the previous episode stunning them as they did not explain but I’m just gonna assume it was to as I expected, cause nothing to happen because the episode was pure filler and they still needed to be on Bardo, sigh. Because they’ve now been there for 3+ months and they’re becoming disciples for the last war.. Ok.

I try so hard not to be negative but this episode was painful to watch. We’re almost halfway through the final season. I love Murphy and I love Emori and I love them getting more lines but for the life of me I cannot even begin to care about the Sheidheda, Nelson or Prisoner lady plots. I am so bored watching them. Why is Sheid!Russell still alive can we move on please we all know there will be some Sanctum civil war in the end and many people will die because this is The 100 just get on with it.

Clarke and co are FINALLY on Bardo good grief. Also if someone doesn’t explain why the fuck Clarke is the key in five minutes I’m gonna scream. I’m channelling Diyoza when I say thinking back on each time they’ve said it, That’s one. That’s Two. That’s THREE. OKAY IM DONE JUST TELL US WHY ALREADY.

Also that meme of “stop telling everyone I’m dead” is how I feel every time someone says Bellamy is dead. He’s not.

Next episode is purely for the prequel Jason wants to make and I don’t really care. They pulled the Shepherd out of ice and he will exposition the entire episode in flashbacks so.. Okay

I just realised that this season is giving me S5 feelings where the first 1-4 episodes were great and then the episodes were meaningless until like episode 10. Difference is that I didn’t realise that until after the whole of season 5 was over and I rewatched it. This time, I feel it whilst the season is airing and it sucks.

You bounced nervously your leg, waiting impatiently for Ben to arrive at your place. It was monday evening and who said monday, say...Game of throne day. And tonight was the last episode ever, after ten years of following the drama of the seven kingdoms, you were sad but excited to see finally who gonna end up on the iron throne. Even if you were a bit disappointed about this season eight you were still a massive fan.

When you heard Frankie whining at the front door, you knew Ben was about to arrive, fucking finally ! He gave a copy of his keys for you to come sooner at his place as you always watched the episode at his place. He had a bigger and better t.v than yours.

“Hiya Frank’ ! How are my girls’ tonight ?” Ben’s pretty face popped in the living-room and you immediately jumped on him, tugging him by the arm to the sofa. “Someone is in a hurry” He chuckled and rubbed the dog’s back with a wide smile.

“In a hurry ? You’re two hours late !” You pouted and crossed your arms. “I fought really hard to not watch the episode without you Benny”

“Mmm, you promise you didn’t watch it ?” The blond grinned and observed your face closely. You shook your head and he pressed a deep kiss on your lips.

His warm palms slid cheekily into your jeans, pinching your ass innocently.

“Hey, not even in your dream Benjamin” You pushed him away with a smirk and sat comfortably on the sofa, grabbing the blanket. “Maybe after the episode” You winked and he rolled his eyes.

“But you’re always grumpy after the episode, especially this season babe” He whined childishly. “We all know you’re not gonna like the ending”

“True but I’m gonna watch anyway so...” You shrugged and caught the remote, looking for HBO on the t.v screen. “You’re coming or what ?” You raised the cover for Ben but he stood up with an amused smile.

“I’m starving babe, I’m gonna make myself a sandwich. Want something ?”

“Seriously Jones !” You let your head fell back against the couch in a dramatic effect, sighing deeply. “Put your pretty ass on the sofa and let watch this damn episode” You threw him a pillow when he openly laughed at your exasperation.

“Jesus woman, gimme two minutes” He disappeared behind the kitchen door and just when you were about to pressed start, he yelled “Don’t fucking dare play the generic without me !”

You grumbled childishly and waited five more minutes before Ben finally came back, two sandwiches in a plate. He plopped next to you and slipped his arm around you shoulder, putting you close to him.

“Ready ?” He nodded as he bit in his snack. “Oh my god I’m so excited !” The familiar music started echoing through the room and you smiled widely, both you and Ben humming the theme song.

Your eyes were glued to the screen, hands clasping around your boyfriend’s forearm and squeezed it when your were shocked or afraid by a scene.

“I swear if she hurt him...I’m flying to Westeros tomorrow morning and take personally good care of her” You whispered as Ben chuckled gently. He loved how intensely you were living every episode.

By half of the episode, your cheeks were wet, like every time and you were on the blond’s lap, arms wrapped around his neck as you literally drank every words escaping from the characters’ mouths.

“Hey, that’s mine ! You said you didn’t want anything” Ben growled as you shamelessly bit in the sandwich still in his hand. “You–“

“Shush, my girl Arya is speaking. Show some respect to the best female character of the show” You scoffed and kept your eyes on the screen, waiting patiently for the final outcome.

Ben mumbled something about Cersei being way more interesting but you ignored him, too busy as you tried to guess who gonna be king or queen of the seven kingdoms. As the moment came closer, you could feel Ben tensed behind you, both of you looking with wide eyes the decisive scene.

“Oh my–“ You gasped and put a hand on your mouth as you finally get to know the new ruler of Westeros. “Fuck, is this real ?” You turned to Ben who looked as surprised as you.

“Told ya you were wrong” You silently watched the remaining minutes of the episode, laughing and crying again as the end of the episode was very close. “That was, indeed, unexpected” He shook his head with a grin as the generic played on the screen.

“I can’t believe it’s over” You sniffled and scratched Frankie’s head, your mind trying to process all the informations from the last episode. “I can’t wait for the spin-offs”

Ben stretched his arms and yawned lazily, stroking affectionately your hairs. “I know babe, so weird. Monday gonna be boring again now” You nodded and snatched the remaining half-sandwich from the blond’s plate and munched ferociously in it, not sure how you were feeling about this ending.

“Anyway, now that it’s over, we can all agree and say that Jon Snow is the best character of the show” Ben added with a cheeky smile knowing very well how you would react to his words.

“I think the fuck not ! Not on my watch baby” You shook your head and punched playfully the blond’ shoulder. “He’s a good character, of course. But seriously, he was so bad written this season, what a waste” You sighed with a pout.

“She is my queen (Y/N)...” His imitation of the well-know voice of Jon snow made you giggled stupidly. “It doesn’t matter if I fucked my aunt, she got the nicest tits of the seven kingdoms”

“Oh my god, shush” You snorted and captured his lips for a sloppy, giggling kiss. “You’re terrible...and well all know the best character is Tyrion, periods” You added with a superior smile.

“Only loser think that, babe” He shook his head and you gasped dramatically, offended by his words.

“How dare you talk about-–“

“Come on, he is funny alright, I give you that. But he is just an alcoholic who think only with his cock and get bully by his whole family, you’re always love the weakest one” Ben commented with a shrug.

You knew he was doing that in purpose to annoy you and it worked every time, you were too attached at the characters to let him say some bullshits like that.

“You’re lucky I love you because you being really stupid right now” You grumbled and took a deep breath, ready to make your speech about how awesome was Tyrion. “He is not only fun, he is smart and strong and very brave, he didn’t–“

“What did you just say ?” Ben’s eyes widened and a soft smile painted his pretty face.

“What ? I said he was brave...”

“Not that silly girl, you said I’m lucky because you love me” You blushed deeply as you just noticed that you effectively let your little secret slipped out. “You’re serious, you love me ?” He asked with a giant smile, brightening all his features.

Your fingers fidgeted with the sleeve of your top and nodded timidly. “Yeah, I love you Ben” You looked shyly at him and gladly accepted his long and intense kiss, his hands immediately grabbing your hip and you sighed appreciatively at the softness of his plumpy lips. He broke the kiss when the need of air was too important and you both smiled stupidly. “You don’t have to say it back, you know” You murmured, rubbing gently your nose against his.

He rolled his eyes and pressed few pecks on your swollen kiss. “I love you too (Y/N), of course I do” You heart fluttered heavily in your chest at his words.

“Yeah ?”

“Silly girl, I did catch up the seven seasons of Game of thrones just to watch with you the last one, right ?” You chuckled slightly. “Sixty-seven hours in few months with my crazy schedule darling, I thought it was obvious I did that because I love you. I knew you would need an emotional support for this six last episodes”

“True, you’re my real knight in shinning armour, the bravest of the seven kingdoms” Ben grinned cockily, his teeth grazing gently on your lower lip.

“Bravest than Brienne of Tarth ?”

You scoffed playfully and rubbed his cheek like he was a little kid.

“It’s Ser Brienne of Tarth and please, don’t push your luck honey. She fought a bear and practically killed Sandor Clegane, she is the greatest warrior of all the time”

“Can’t argue on this one” Ben admitted and pressed his lips on your forehead. “I love you”

“And I love you too” You answered with a loving gaze. “Even if you have shitty tastes about GOT characters”

lol this earth ad is even more cringey.................. the ending credits.... i see lin yuzhi! and xixi got a cool shot :D im surprised lin mo didnt get any shots haha and that they didnt show mr tyger at all during the hugging portion at the end but oh well i guess.....

tbh this was a minimal lin mo exposure ep but its ok, im still grateful that he got a few random closeups (which is more than i can say for some of the others) and now that hes safely in top 20 i honestly think my work here is done LOL. there’s not much more lin mo fans can do for him. theyve gotten him onto all the stages and i dont think any amount of work will get him into top 9... and ive said before i dont even really want him in top 9 bc id rather he stay with mr tyger and help them stay relevant bc theyll need his help to do so, especially since jia yi will probably make top 9.

(from here is where i go into a rant about season 1 vs season 2.... LOL)

lets be honest, ranking 16 is too low for lin mo to make it lol....... last season the only kid who made top 9 who wasnt already in top 9 by ep 10 was yanjun... and yanjun had been on a steep upward trend leading up to the last ep (lin mo went from 17 to 16... theres minimal momentum there lol) and then bi wenjun going from 12 to 10 was the other surprise. xikan going from 18 to 13 was impressive, but he still wasnt one of the contenders for the 9th spot. i think at the end it was bu fan, qian zhenghao, bi wenjun and you zhangjing right? out of those 4, the lowest ranked in ep 10 was bi wenjun at 12..... so going from 16 up to 9 would be really really unlikely, unless lin mo somehow makes an even greater impression on the audience during the mentor collab stage than yanjun did last year.... which i think will be impossible bc literally the entire audience fell in love with yanjun during the “zero” performance in last season’s ep 11 lol it was crazyyyy.... but anyway i think ive reminisced about last season enough this rant.... can you tell i really miss it? honestly ive tried to stay as positive as i could throughout watching qcyn and i gave iqiyi the benefit of the doubt from the beginning that “oh maybe it just doesnt seem as great as the first season bc we havent gotten to know the kids yet, the show’s just started, we’ll learn to love it later” ---- but we’re on ep 10 now and i just.......... i still dont think i got to know the kids as well as i did last season and its not their fault, theyre not any less lovable kids (some of them i really like!!! more than some of the kids from last season!) but this season’s editing is really just disappointing. i really miss last season and it was honestly so much more enjoyable to watch..... i thought about this the other day, if lin mo had been eliminated during the last round, would i still be watching this show? and i thought about it and i honestly think i would... because i really like some of the other kids like mingming, junjie, xixi, jia yi, guan yue, chen sijian, etc. but i really dont think id be as eager to stay up to date with it. ive fallen behind on yaa and dont even look forward to watching fanafan anymore bc lin mo hasnt been on any of those (no, i dont count the yaa ep he literally only got 1 second of screentime in) these side shows are fun, but not as fun as fanafan from last season. they feature the same kids over and over again (literally yuehua trio was the ONLY kids on fanafan 2 weeks ago and then they were 1/3 of the ep last week too??? and hmm how come there are kids who have been on yaa multiple times yet there are also kids who have never been on it at all???? that’s just so unfair.....) without fanafan from last season, would you zhangjing have made it into top 9?? fanafan was the medium thru which he really showed us how hilarious and fun and lovable and sweet and sassy he was (whereas on the actual show he showed us his true, undeniable talent) and im just here wondering, if qcyn’s fanafan had featured ye ziming half as much as they had featured you zhangjing or his partner in crime yanjun (who both ended up making top 9), would he have at least made top 35? or how about chen sijian and wu zelin? or feng junjie?? or su yuhang?? where would they be now? why hasnt lin mo been on fanafan at all??? if given the chance, would people actually be appreciating zhan yu’s hilariously weird and crazy personality that we NEVER got to see?? sigh..........

‘After keeping all plans of their first comeback aside, Royal has finally decided to move things along. Luxe’s performances on the Samsung New Year Special brought them a lot of attention and most certainly gave them a lot of buzz. Positive or negative, every new comment under their performance videos only made them rise on the pages of famous websites and search engines. Using this to their advantage wouldn’t be too hard.

Their first comeback also means their first release as a 5-member group. Im Nayoung’s official stage name was officially confirmed to be ‘Zoe’ through an official statement by a Royal representative only a week ago. Together with the other 4 original members, the group will make their comeback with their mini-album ‘Fantasy’ on February 24th. This means there are a lot of things to get done and the girls should put their all into it.

The practice schedule will be completely focused on the final preparations for the album. Dance practice will start right away and be the biggest focus for the members. If they don’t have anything more important to do then they should probably be learning the choreography which will be thoroughly taught by Yoo Jaekyung and her fellow dancers. The songs that were given three months to learn should all be recorded on February 8th. Members will go into the studio in order of age to record their parts. When they aren’t recording, members are expected to be practicing.

As a solo schedule, Cheri will take part of the recording for ‘My Love From Another Star’ from February 2nd. She will be expected on set for 9 hours (7 to 4pm) to get her makeup and wardrobe done in the morning. Filming for her day scene will last from 10am to 3pm. After filming for the scene concludes, she will get cleaned up, return her costumes, and return to her idol schedules. The script for this scene will be mailed to her one week prior to filming. She will also get one hour of rehearsal with the lead actor before official filming starts.

To match with their concept, members will have to change their hairstyles according to the company’s orders. Those whose current hairstyle doesn’t match the one seen below will go together to the same salon on February 10th to get their hair done for their comeback.

On February 13th, a photo shoot will occur in a small set in the Gangnam district for both the photobook that’ll come along with the CD as well as the photocards. There will be two different sessions: one for the pure side of the album and another following their sexy concept. The photocards will follow the same pattern (use this photocard as an example and a darker version of it for its counterpart). When they aren’t being photographed, members are allowed to practice in a spot of the set that doesn’t get in the way of the staff or in the changing room. They won’t be explicitly told to do so and they should also avoid getting sweaty or ruining their makeup.

Finally, the music video for their title song will be filmed on February 15th and February 16th. A full film crew is provided by Royal, including camera staff, wardrobe and makeup/hair staff, lighting staff, catering crew, and a director. You may, at any time, ask for guidance from any of these members of the production. On the 15th, the first section of the where they pose in white (0:00-0:16) and dance scenes in the white outfits (as seen in 0:56 and 2:33) will be recorded. On the 16th, scenes with the light background (as seen in 0:19 and 0:28) and the brick wall (as seen in 1:42 and 3:17) will be recorded.

As the first variety appearance with the full group, Luxe will record an episode of Weekly Idol on February 18th. This will follow the events from TWICE’s part in Episode 228 which can be seen here. All mentions of debut should be changed to it being their first comeback, and any quotes and the performance of ‘Like Ooh-Ahh’ should be changed to ‘Confused’. Any other changes should be made accordingly (such as their personal introductions and showcased talents) to fit in with Luxe members. Luxe’s appearance will only be enough for half an episode, and the other half will be filmed by a different group. It should be also taken into account that the MCs will be the current ones: Lee Manseok, Shin Beomsu, and Ryu Seojun as the IC equivalents of Nam Changhie, Jo Seho, and Hwang Kwanghee. This episode will air on a Wednesday, February 27th.

On the very same day of the recording, February 18th, the first teaser will be released for their comeback on Luxe’s official social media.

As a special surprise to the fans and a tease on itself, all 5 members will come together to hold a Vlive in their dorm on February 19th. They are instructed not to spoil anything regarding their new album and help Zoe get used to how it works. Apart from that, the members are free to interact with the viewers however they’d like as long as they keep up with their image.

No matter how busy their month will be, nothing will beat February 24th. Luxe will have their debut stage on the same date as their album release on Inkigayo. They’ll get there a 6:30am as usual, but instead of staying until late for a live performance, they’ll pre-record it at 9:00am instead of having a rehearsal. The members will then prepare themselves for their showcase which will start at 6PM, the same time as the album release. Fans present will get to watch the MV for the first time in the audience, followed by a live performance of ‘Confused’. The MC this time will be the well-known Lee Jonghyuk. During the showcase, Luxe will also perform their debut song ‘I Feel Good’, ‘Luv Me’ and ‘Under The Street Lights’. The time in-between will involve the members explaining their title track and album as well as their concept, a profile introduction of each member, and then the showcase will end with a second performance of ‘Confused’.

On February 28th, Luxe will record their dance relay for ‘Confused’ to be uploaded on the same day during their time waiting for M!Countdown (you can use this to see how it works).

Music show promotions will last for a total of three weeks this time. Programs will begin pre-recording early in the morning and groups are expected to stay at the broadcasting station until the live broadcast takes place later in the day. Although music shows in real life follow varied recording schedules, for IC writing purposes, the schedule for every music show will follow this consistent pattern (except for February 24th):

06:20AM: at broadcasting station: basic first rehearsal on stage; no makeup, casual clothes.

06:45AM: head to salon: get makeup and hair done.

07:45AM: return to broadcasting station: eat breakfast, nap in dressing room/space.

09:00AM: dress rehearsal on stage; stage outfits, makeup on.

09:20AM: return to dressing room/space: rest, eat, nap.

11:00AM: final camera rehearsal on stage; stage outfits, makeup on.

11:15AM: greet senior artist groups at their respective dressing room/spaces, accompanied by a manager. you may not sleep during this time, up until the live broadcast.

07:00PM: live broadcast; when not performing, must stay in dressing room/space until the ending stage of the show.

08:00PM: line up in waiting room area to formally greet producers, director, and senior staff.

09:00PM: meeting time with fans who attended the recordings.

10:00PM: return to dressing rooms to clean up, change back into casual clothes.

11:00PM: arrive back at dorms.

You will gain +5 POINTS TO DISTRIBUTE AS YOU WISH, +3 DEBUT POINTS and +2 ACHIEVEMENTS for completing the written requirements explained on the idol tier page. As this is a song promotion month, one of your chosen achievements must be relevant to the above schedule and all required content should be written about activities listed on the above schedule for the month of February. Posting about March activities will not account for February points (more information for their March promotions will come on their March schedule). There is a capped maximum of five solos, sets of starters and/or partnered threads you may write to collect this month’s points.

To clarify, the only form that needs to be submitted at the end of the month is a verification form for your debut points and achievements. Any SP points earned can be collected as soon as you finish the requirement for them. wild cards huh?

hyunjoon didn’t really like the sound of that. he knows how these survival shows work--from a view standpoint--since he’s watch so many of his now favorite groups go through the same thing. watched the past mga seasons when they were airing. fell in love with contestants then, and never once considered going on the stage himself. oh how time has flown by.

while he didn’t really like the sound of wild card, knowing it was some ploy by the show to make things more interesting hyunjoon could also see it for what it is. a another chance.

he spoke with juyeon about it, seeking the older out for the first time in over a week.

but what if im not good enough

just do what feels right kid, dont have regrets.

and he knows.... he knows what he want. who he wants to reach. his goal right now is not so much a dream, but he could see it becoming that. dancing has grown on him, he likes to dance. it’s almost more fun than cooking, but for whatever reason he’s having so much trouble admitting any of this. he doesn’t know why he can’t just say ‘hey, i want to be an idol--i want to dance’--although, maybe he does know.

you’re nothing like your brother, he’d fit into all that. you dont fit anywhere, you do nothing.

( there has been a voice in his head for weeks now, one that sounds suspiciously like his father, that whispers to him how worthless his effort is. how he should give up. he always gives up--- why doesn’t he just give up on this. after all, he’s a lazy kid, he has no drive for anything. he just makes messes and doesn’t care who he hurts )

even in the last week when he was trying to pretend he hated to dance, when he slipped back into bad habits and found himself needing to be picked up twice by his hyungs for different reasons and ended up scolded three times--four if you count inho and sungho as two-- and told himself this is all you’re worth, hyunjoon. when he cried for the fifth time in one week, five times more than he has cried in the last year, and wanted to do nothing more than just implode and not deal with anything--and he kind of did. flashes of harsh words, hard hits, bruises that would last to this day. in all that time he told himself, this isn’t you. this is who you are, why are you doing this. why can’t he just stop.

he told himself. you’re not a dancer--you’re not a chef---you can’t even pretend to care about anything--before he said fuck it and he found himself back at orions practice room. found himself spending hours sweating out his anger in dance after dance until he collapsed onto the floor in exhausted laughter. grinning like he hasn’t in days, feeling lighter than he has in days. and he finally thought--okay, maybe this is me.

he worked on a new dance that night, going out and performing it on his own instead of with the rest of the dance crew. he just needed to do this himself.

he still feels the sting of being cut the first episode.

he knows he doesn’t have the experience or talent that most had on the show, but to be cut mostly for his age was more hurtful than being cut for literally sucking at everything. he’d rather they tell him he would never make it as a idol or that his dancing stinks, than for him to be cut for his age. it’s so minor--if anything his age was his advantage. it gives the company time to mold him how they want or need. and maybe he’s bitter over that. maybe he’s annoyed that there’s still someone on the show who wasn’t even two months older yet he’s on the show, and hyunjoon isn’t.

OKAY, so he’s a lot bitter.

but it’s not often hyunjoon finds something he actually really feels a connection too. he found cooking when he was young, and pokemon, but other than that he kind of just floats around. its why he got into partying and smoking. it was something to do. something to keep himself occupied and to keep his mind off everything. honestly. if it hadn’t been for inho and sungho, hyunjoon might have slipped into harder stuff. he was on the verge of going back into that world and the kid knew people who were into some heavy shit. it wouldn’t have been hard.

maybe he doesn’t really realize how close he was to being unreachable. maybe he doesn’t see the danger he as putting himself in. hyunjoon has never been one to care for his own well being. he followed what his friends were doing. he followed whatever seemed to be the best path to just keep his mind working. or to numb everything out.

dancing helped.

that could be why he really likes it so much. not only does it give him a connection with a good handful of his friends, but he can focus on a routine and on nothing else. his mind running through the motions leaving it now time to fuck him over. dancing helped--dancing was fun. dancing is what he wants to do. to dance alone, with his friends, or even complete strangers. hyunjoon just wants to dance.

and he was going to show them all that he was more than just some kid. that he wasn’t doing this because he wanted that five seconds of fame. that dancing means more, this show means more.

he tried cute. he tried to play off his age and go for what everyone expects of a fifteen year old. but maybe that had been his first mistake. because hyunjoon ( no matter what haknyeon or hongseok say ) is not a cute person. he doesn’t do aegyo or throw cute smiles around that curve his eyes just right. he doesn’t hold up finger hearts, or wear bright colors. he’s dark clothing, and monotone words. he’s sarcastic remarks that come out of the blue because he hasn’t spoken in over two hours. he’s holding his hyungs hand but pretending nothing is happening because the attention would scare him off. he’s subtle and blunt and closed off all at the same time. he shouldn’t have tried to be so far off from what he is.

the wild card event is another chance to prove himself not only to the judges on mga, but also to himself that he is more than his dad says. that’s he’s more than a kid with his head full of silly ideas. to prove to himself that this isn’t a bad path to do down. that hyunjoon just needs to work harder and put in more effort. and then he’ll get there. it’s like trying to bake the perfect cake. sloppy mixing will get a result but not the one you want.

he arrives on time, he gets ready. he’s not nervous, not like he was the first time. his expression is blank, but there’s a glint in his eye. he’s ready. he wants on that stage and regardless of what the results are, he wants to dance--no--he wants to perform. even if he doesn’t make it back onto mga, hyunjoon will be happy just to draw a reaction out of someone.

he had shared part of his lyrics of choice with guanlin. texting the older boy rather vaguely to ask his opinion. he didn’t tell guanlin though that he was going to try for the wild card thing. he didn’t even bring up that it was lyrics he sent. he wanted to make a splash, and guanlin had to be kept in the dark. he would treat the older to ice cream or something later.

“heo hyunjoon, thank you for the second chance.” is all he says once on stage, bowing at his waist politely. but his expression is blank, his voice is even. there’s no shake or tremble like there had been. he’s not scared like he had been. before he hadn’t been sure what he was doing on this stage. he hadn’t known what he was doing on the mga. it had all been impulsive and done without thinking and hyunjoon hadn’t been ready.

this time is different.

the music starts, a simple back beat sounding very much like the tune of ariana grande no tears left to cry. hyunjoon is relaxed as he starts instantly into a rap. a surprise, as he had said so himself that he isn’t much of a performer outside dancing. the rap is a self composed one too. rough, and raw, and he’s on the slower side. but emotional. a mix of korean and chinese to show off his language skills.

he keeps himself relaxed, keeps his expression even and his voice soft--a touch on the raspy side. aiming for the almost defeated look. trying to fit with the lyrics he has for his rap, which is all too easy as hyunjoon himself is a rather tired, and defeated looking person. the faded bruises on his cheek and jaw--though covered in makeup--would attest to the defeated part.

he raps like he’s reading a poem. he raps like he’s trying to explain himself to the judges, and to his parents who probably wouldn’t watch this. he raps like he’s trying to convince himself this is where he belongs. his tone never falters. there’s not one emotion in his tone because he’s speaking with so many. contained anger, bitterness, unease, confusion, excitement, acceptance--he’s trying to portray his ambition to be here. the time he put in to actually create his own rap. actually consulting students in school who he knows are writers--or at least into the writing. it was hard to find the words to get across what he wanted.

especially when he didn’t even know what he wanted.

but he thinks he has it down now. he knows how to feel for this. knows what he’s supposed to look like when talking--rapping--these lines. his body moving with ease as he goes from line to line. smoothly flowing through the transitions--practiced ease--and fluctuating his tone, emphasizing the words when needed. even the switch from korean to chinese was nice.

too young im told too young to hold and face this path all on my own

so here’s my shot in the dark here’s the chance I shouldn’t take the chance pushed out of my sight and when I dive in again just let me sink this is my time

and sometimes you have to lose it all sometimes you have to face that wall even when i’m scared to death--scared to be alone i face that wall, and scared to death of letting go--to fall apart and be alone

he wonders if ricky would see this. empty enigma and ricky have always been the biggest influences in him wanting to peruse this. seeing ricky at the idol class had really ignited that childhood dream. but its different now.

before he just wanted to be with ricky. now he wants this for himself--he wants to be able to look at himself and say you did you’re best and even if he doesn’t make it far. even if he goes back to his dream of cooking ( still a really good dream ) hyunjoon wouldn’t be angry. he tried. he did. thats all anyone can ask of him. he’s trying every day to be better. and not just in dancing or rapping. but in everything. in his delinquent behavior as sungho calls it. he wants to be good.

he knows what it feels like to fall apart.

i hold my breath and take the dive release my grip this is my next try i’ve got to take this leap of faith and trust in a self that i don’t know

and who am i to say these things i still just know this one thing that i’ve got no tears left to cry

about 30 seconds of his rap, the music picks up and the actual ariana song begins to play and he breaks into dance. his movements are sharper, but he still flows through each movement easily. with practiced ease. a smirk had pulled across his face as he started to dance. and he makes sure to make eye contact with a few of the judges when he can. belaying to them that he knows he’s young. but that doesn’t make him any less of a good contestant than the others on the show. that he can improve too, and his age is only going to allow him to get better and better.

he knows he probably shouldn’t lowkey try and challenge the ceo’s especially since they’re the ones who decide who stays on the show and who doesn’t. but hyunjoon doesn’t really care anymore. they cut him once, what does it matter? there’s only two outcomes here. they shove him back onto the show, or they kick him out again. either way. he’s proud of this performance.

his dances comes to an end just milliseconds under the two minute make. his bangs sticking to his face a little thanks to sweat, only showing how hard he had actually danced. how much effort he put into trying to make a point. because thats what he wanted. to prove himself--to prove he got better, that he wsa improving. and he would only continue to improve. just like gordon ramsay sunbaenim says, he has to keep at it to get better. he’s such a good cook these days because he spends so much time cooking.

the same it about to be said for dancing. hyunjoon is going to improve. he’s going to work on it himself, and get better and better and better. he would catch up to everyone on the show, to his hyungs already trainee, to his idols who have been in this world for so long, catch up to his father who thinks he’ll never make himself anything. he would catch up to himself and show himself that yes, hyunjoon, you are worth something more. and that maybe his dreams are allowed to change because he is young.

he’s young, and he’ll embrace that. after all, he has room to grow.

Series Summary: Five was a weapon. She killed, stole, and spied for Brenner for years. Until she escaped. But not before breaking the youngest and lastest experiment, Eleven, out of the lab. Who knew their escape would lead them to the first family’s they had ever known? Who knew it would lead her to Jonathan? But with Brenner on her tail, can she keep them safe? Can she keep Eleven safe? Can she stop being the monster she believes herself to be? She can’t seem to escape her past no matter how hard she tries.

Anyways I watched Stranger Things for the first time and fell in love soooo expect much of Jonathan and Steve and I just had to write this because it wouldn’t get out of my head....Alright so for the sake of this story I’m aging up Jonathan to his early 20’s so when Will went missing he had already graduated from community college that previous May and was working to save up money to get his Bachelor’s but he dropped out of work to focus on Will and all that drama soooo yeah he’s like 22 and the original character is also around 21.... anyways hope you enjoy!!!!!

Prologue: (last episode of season 1)

“Fi!”

Five swung around, her eyes meeting Jonathan’s as he rounded the corner of the hallway. She offered him a weak smile and he took a step towards her, his eyes lighting up in hope, but she shook her head and took a slight step back. Jonathan’s brows furrowed in confusion before he glanced down the hall past Five. She could see the moment he realized what was about to happen, his eyes grew wide and he began running. But he was too far away.

Five turned back around, trying to ignore Jonathan’s heavy footsteps behind her. She knew what she had to do. Taking a shaky breath, she squared her shoulders and started down the hall, her body moving almost mechanically.

“No!” Jonathan’s gut-wrenching scream felt like a hot knife shoved into her core. And against her will, she threw one last look at him and watched as Hopper appeared. He quickly catching up to Jonathan and yanked him back. Jonathan fought against Hopper’s tight grasp, pulling desperately at the arms wrapped firmly around his chest. The two men slammed to the ground, Jonathan’s eyes never wavering from Five’s. Her heart sunk, and for the last time, she forcibly pried her eyes away from his, knowing that she would never see him again.

Five’s feet continued to walk forward even though every bone in her body was screaming to turn back. And when she reached the end of the hall, she lifted her head, her eyes meeting papa’s cold ones. His mouth was curled into a vicious smirk and he held out his ghost white hand to her. Her last thought was of Jonathan’s eyes before everything went dark.

Chapter 1: (last episode of season 2)

The demo-dog’s screams grew closer and everybody took their positions facing the front of the house. Jonathan’s hands shook and he stepped in closer to his mother, placing his body slightly in front of hers. The house shook as one of the creatures slammed into the porch and everyone stumbled back a step.

Jonathan through a glance at the people surrounding him. His family. Their own shaking hands tense around their weapons. Ready for the fight about to befall them.

The growls were bone-chilling and Jonathan could hear them circling the house, their bodies slamming into the outer walls repeatedly. He closed his eyes remembering the last time he had fought one of the creatures. Him, Nancy, Steve. They could barely kill one. How would they take down dozens? A loud screech shot through the room, shaking Jonathan out of his memories. And then all fell silent.

Jonathan stepped forward, pushing his mother further behind him as his eyes fixed on the window.

A beat.

And then two.

Nancy took a step forward, Steve swung his bat, and just like that everything exploded. The window in front of them shattered a demo-dog flying toward them. A collective shout shot through the room and everyone circled around, aiming their weapons at the creature on the ground.

“Holy shit.” Dustin wheezed.

“Is it dead?”

Hopper walked over slowly, his footsteps hesitating as he reached the body. He nudged it with his foot and there was a collective sigh of relief when it remained motionless.

However, that relief was short-lived as the door behind them creaked. Everyone whipped around with panicked looks, their weapons settling on the door. A loud click sounded, as the lock flipped up. The chain on the door slowly slide off and everyone gripped tight to their weapons. Jonathan swallowed deeply as the door swung open.

“Eleven?”

Mike pushed through the group of people and met Eleven in the middle of the room. And while everyone’s gazes settled on the kid’s reunion, Jonathan’s gaze turned away as he caught sight of something in the doorway.

He froze, not willing to believe his eyes.

“Fi?” His voice cracked. He felt as if all the air had left his lungs. And when he tried to speak the words seemed to get caught in his throat. His mind couldn’t still be playing tricks on him, could it? For months, months, after Five had disappeared, he had seen her everywhere. Day after day after day until one day he had finally shut down and accepted she was never coming back.

The woman in question froze at the sound of his voice but didn’t turn to face him.

Jonathan’s heart raced, yet he remained frozen as if his body had forgotten how to move. All he felt were his fingers twitch as if they longed to reach out and touch her as if they remembered the feel of her skin.

“Fi.”

His gaze was locked solely on the woman in front of him. She turned toward his voice, but her head remained angled down toward the ground, refusing to look up at him. She looked different. Older. More hardened. Covered in dirt and debris. But still the same.

He cleared his throat and spoke a little louder, “Five.”

Five shook her head, reaching her hands up to tangle her fingers in her hair as her face scrunched up in pain, and she took a step backward. Her movement seemed to break Jonathan out of his trance and he pushed past the people around him and stopped no more than an inch away from her.

His hand lifted up and he hesitantly reached out to touch her arm, but the second his fingertips touched her bare skin, she flinched back, her arms dropping from her head to wrap around herself for protection, and he pulled back as if she had struck him.

“I’m sorry- “

Five’s head snapped up, her eyes finally meeting Jonathan’s. His breath caught as her green eyes locked with his. But they were dark. Haunted. Looking at him, but not truly seeing him. Seemingly trapped in the memories of her past.

So much like she had been when they had first met.

He remembered the nights when she would sit motionless on his bed. Her eyes dark, her breathing shallow. It had only been a year ago, but it felt as if it had been centuries since he had last seen her.

Those nights had been excruciating. Trapped within her memories, with no way out. Jonathan would sit with her for hours. Not talking. Not touching. Barely moving. And together they worked through it as one.

Over time, the episodes had gotten fewer and farther between, until they had stopped altogether.

Jonathan’s heart dropped as Five’s eyes flashed, the fight within her mind visible on her face. He ran a hand down his face as his mind immediately raced to all the horrifying things she had gone through to cause this once again. Jonathan closed his eyes, willing the thoughts away, before focusing back on the woman in front of him.

“Fi? It’s me. It’s Jonathan. Your Jonathan.”

Her eyes remained locked on his and she nodded. She took a deep breath and dropped her hands down to her sides. A bit of a spark appeared in her eyes and Jonathan began to smile. But before he could speak, she let out a groan and grabbed her head, her eyes squeezing shut as if pain shot through her head. She repeatedly shook her head and Jonathan could do nothing but stand there and watch with concern.

Suddenly, Five’s hand shot out and latched onto Jonathan’s shirt and she flattened her hand out over his heart. Jonathan closed his eyes and slowed his breathing, listening as she began to match his rhythm. After a minute, she pulled back and Jonathan opened his eyes, his gaze roaming over her face, recognizing the features he had long ago thought he’d forgotten. And not a second later, Five opened her eyes. Her speckled green eyes looking back at him, the gentle spark, that always sparkled when she got into mischief, re-igniting as they met his.

“Jonathan?”

Jonathan’s face broke out into a smile as he nodded. His hand raised again and he placed it against her face, she leaned into it as his thumb brushed across her cheek.

Her mouth quirked up into a gentle smile and without any warning she all but threw herself at him, wrapped herself around him, her arms tight around his neck, her head burying against his neck. His arms snaked around her back, gripping tight to her shirt, willing her to be real. Willing her not to be a figment of his imagination. Willing her not to vanish right before his eyes.

His nose nudged against her ear, “Where have you been? Are you okay? What did Brenner do to you?”

Five just shook her head and Jonathan just held her tighter, knowing that whatever happened they would get through it together.

Author’s notes: Soooooo I’m not 100% sure how I’m gonna write the rest of this now but I couldn’t get this story off my mind until I wrote it soooo I’m either gonna start with season one and go on from there or just continue after season 2 and do flashbacks...also I have like forty other stories going right now so updating will be sporadic at best because school is kicking my ass and I haven’t written in what feels like years

Winter 2019 Season Preview

I can't believe it's another goddamn year. 2019 marks my fifteenth year of watching anime, which fucks me up to even write. The about 540 anime I've seen in the intervening years doesn't even feel like that many when I think about how I've literally spent half my life watching these Chinese girl cartoons. Onwards and upwards, I guess.

Sukasuka is still the best LN I've read, but Girly Air Force is far and away my favorite and it should be obvious why: it's got cute girls, it's got airplanes, it's got cute girls who ARE airplanes! The story is surprisingly well-done and if Satelight's adaptation is on point this could be a pretty good show. Phantom is best girl and Izawa Shiori sounds perfect as her, so we've already got that going for us.

2 Endoro~!: Okay, so Release the Spyce was bad. That's not Namori's fault, though, 'cause the characters were still adorable. This is Namori's next try at being an anime character designer, and it definitely looks better than Spyce ever did. Cute girl lighthearted fantasy is definitely a good genre (it's why I played Priconne for as long as I did despite the game being terrible) and the pastel colors all over this show tell me I'm home. Kaori, director of one of the best cute girl anime of the last decade, Yuyushiki, helms the project and venerable Studio Gokumi animates. Yeah, this is AOTS.

3 Kouya no Kotobuki Hikoutai: Based Tsutomu is BACK, babey! Somehow, this is his first TV project in three years (after the lackluster Mayoiga) though he's obviously been hard at work making more of Garupan as slowly as possible and probably also working on that Shirobako movie that's in the oven. I'm sure it's hard being an anime god. It's definitely disappointing that this is a full CG anime, but the fact that it's about planes and being made by Tsutomu is enough for me to overlook that fact. It's not quite the Daisan Hikou Shoujotai anime we've all been waiting for, but it's close enough.

4 Ueno-san wa Bukiyou: I have a hard time believing this will be anything but comedy of the season in three months' time. The excerpts from the manga I have seen are amazing, and the trailers have been brilliant as well. Plus, Serizawa Yuu in the lead role, and it also has one of the surest signs of a comic hit (at least in my book) which is the male lead also being played by a girl―Tanaka Aimi in this case. The character designs definitely capture tugeneko's unique style. This should be great.

5 Watashi ni Tenshi ga Maiorita!: Clearly this is the spiritual successor to Uzamaid. Perverted channee hnnngs over some cute lolis? That's almost always good. Said lolis look incredibly adorable, and the protagonist will be played by the always-brilliant Ueda Reina, who should shine in a role like this. It's definitely hard to imagine this one missing.

6 Kakegurui XX: I never expected this show to get a sequel, but I'm sure not complaining about it. Everyone's favorite hot Akagi expy is back, babey. I can't wait to see some more sexy gambles. Hearing Hayamin's lewd voice is worth the price of admission by itself, and it looks like there are new hot channees coming by the truckload in this second season. Sign me the fuck up.

7 Gotoubun no Hanayome: I'm mad at this show because I thought Ayaneru was supposed to play all five heroines, but apparently that was just for a commercial for the manga and they cast five different people for the actual anime. I wanted to hear quintuple Ayaneru! This show still looks like a good harem, though, and of course does still provide one Ayaneru. The rest of the cast are no slouches either, and despite the Ayaneru presence I think Ayachi's character looks like the best girl.

8 Domestic na Kanojo: Schoolteacher romance anime!?! FUUUCK YES. This is exactly what the doctor's been ordering. The Hiyocchi-voiced sensei looks adorable (as all anime teachers should be) and I am just 100% here for what is happening. There's also another cute girl, but, just give me Hina-sensei and I'll be happy.

9 Date A Live III: Hard to believe the original DAL anime was almost six years ago. I stopped following the series closely when DAL2 was bad, but I'm still excited for this new sequel. The girls are still great and so is the premise, they just need to actually have money to make a good anime this time around. Happily, J.C. Staff have been pegged to animate this time instead of the perenially inconsistent Production IMS, with the principal creative staff (including director Motonaga Keitarou) still intact. So it should be pretty good!

10 Kemurikusa: Yes Tatsuki, yes tanoshi! I still haven't seen Kemono Friends so I can't speak personally to Tatsuki's alleged genius but I have seen some of his short anime he posts online and they're always brimming with atmosphere, so I'm excited to check this out.

11 Mahou Shoujo Tokushusen Asuka: The latest in a seemingly endless line of anime that ask, 'How can we take the concept of magical girls but make it edgy?' Okay, I admit, the idea of magical girls who wield Kalashnikov rifles is actually pretty great... It just depends on how seriously the show takes itself, because this is not a concept that should be played straight. Strike The Blood's Yamamoto Hideo is set to direct, and STB was a show that definitely knew how to toe the line between serious action and lighthearted antics, so hopefully it will be good.

12 Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai ~Tensai-tachi no Ren'ai Zunousen~: Though I'm a long-established devotee of the Church of Blondenblu, black hair and red eyes is pretty close behind as far as I'm concerned, so this show's titular Kaguya-sama definitely looks good. Plus that forehead! There's also a nice blondenblu girl voiced by Hanabee. Looks like a cute romantic comedy.

13 Manaria Friends: Yeah, this is finally happening after years of development hell, apparently being produced entirely in-house by Cygames and their animation studio CygamesPictures. From what I hear, this is supposed to be a lot different from the mainline Bahamut anime: kind of nichijou-kei, and apparently gay as hell. Cute girl and her demon girlfriend? Yep, sign me the fuck up.

14 Circlet Princess: It's always good when the "story" tab on your show's website is under construction when your show starts in like two weeks. This is apparently based on a DMM web game, but the writer and designer is Kio Nachi, who was responsible for the game and anime of the way-better-than-it-should-have-been Ao no Kanata no Fourhythm, so it might be good. The voice cast is a star-studded assemblage of veterans like Gotou Mai, Nabatame Hitomi, and Mizuhashi Kaori... With the turnover in the seiyuu industry as of late it's nice to see that vets like this can still get main-cast roles and aren't just relegated to playing the moms of the latest 18 year old darling. But I digress.

15 Boogiepop wa Warawanai: Otherwise known as Boogiepop Phantom in the West, this is the latest classic property to get the remake treatment. I've always meant to watch the original, but never did. Boogiepop was one of the original series to start the modern "light novel" movement, and I've always heard great things about it, but other than that I really know nothing about the story so I'll be going in blind. I'm sure Ao-chan and Oonishi will be great in it at least.

16 Rinshi!! Ekoda-chan: I have no idea what Ekoda-chan is about (other than it's a 4koma manga) but this adaptation looks like it's some art. Apparently every episode will have both a different director and a different actress playing the titular Ekoda-chan. Presumably, we are about to See Some Shit. Names set to direct episodes include some names like Sugii Gisaburou (Touch, Ginga Tetsudou no Yoru) and Mochizuki Tomomi (Ranma 1/2) and Kitani Yoshitomo (GaoGaiGar) so we're definitely in for something.

17 Egao no Daika: It's time for your seasonal dose of robot anime with hot girls in it. It's going to be awhile until I can see a show like this again and think "Gridman was better," but hey, this one's got some hot girls in it too. This is brought to us by longtime mecha anime guy Suzuki Toshimasa, who was responsible for a recent sentimental favorite of mine, Rinne no Lagrange. The character designs are the work of Nakamura Naoto, who also did the job on High School Fleet. That show was notable more than anything for having an incredibly large and diverse cast of incredibly cute girls, so that's a good sign.

18 Pastel Memories: This show has nothing to do with Plastic Memories, but that doesn't stop be from thinking of that every time I see the title. If you immediately suspect it to be a social game adaptation after seeing the art and logo, you would be extremely correct. The key visual on the show's homepage does not inspire confidence, but the animation looks fine in the PV at least. As a genre, "cute girls from social games fighting monsters" generally produces rubbish, but I appreciate that the action at least looks to be hand-drawn in this one. The show does have Rieshon in it, who I feel like I haven't heard in ages, so that's nice.

19 Bermuda Triangle ~Colorful Pastrale~: I've always been on record as saying mermaid girls suck because they don't have legs, and I still stand by that. Why should I get excited about a cute girl anime if there's no ftmm to ogle??? I'll still watch it cause it promises to be a nichijou-kei cute girl anime (and there's a channee mermaid who wears hoop earrings which almost makes up for the lack of legs) but I'm not going to be happy about it damnit.

20 Minitoji: It's some kind of SD Toji no Miko spinoff. I'm sure I'm in the minority just like, in general, but I really enjoyed Tojimiko so I'm happy enough to see this being made. It looks like the protagonist from the (truly dreadful) mobile game adaptation is making an appearance, so I guess that thing is making enough money to have this produced... Hey, if I get to see more of Hiyori-chan being gay, I'm down.

21 Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari: It's light novel anime. When the show's "characters" page is half dudes it's never a good sign, especially for a show in this genre. Probably the most interesting thing about it is that Kevin Penkin, who did the fantastic music for 2017's Made in Abyss returns to anime work here... But it will probably be in service of a lame, too self-serious fantasy plot with lots of dudes grimacing.

22 Grimms Notes The Animation: Grimms Notes is a shitty social game so you can already see where this is going. It feels like a waste of my time to even write a preview for it since I know I'll be dropping this before the first episode is even over. At least it has a blondenblu girl, I guess.

23 Yakusoku no Neverland: Did you guys know noitaminA is still a thing? Remember when it was relevant? This is this season's noitaminA show and it looks like exactly the kind of thing I watch out of obligation because it looks like "art" and then drop even after saying I'll give the second episode a chance. The protagonist's face gives me bad juju. At least most of the male characters are voiced by girls since they're kids.

24 revisions: Enver Hoxha's least-favorite anime is brought to us by Netflix. It looks like, honestly, exactly what I expect from Netflix at this point. The CG animation doesn't look great (Shirogumi doing it this time, instead of Netflix stalwart Polygon Pictures) and it has the same kind of serious sci-fi feel as shows like A.I.C.O. Incarnation. Probably won't be that good, but these shows that strive to feel like Western cable thrillers have a bad habit of being pretty easy watches.

25 Virtual-san wa Miteiru: I don't think I actually want to watch this. I like to watch some virtuals sometimes but... No.
