Wow, Andrew Torgashev's skating was so dynamic and dramatic, I loved watching every moment of that program, except the few costly jumping mistakes. I don't even remember his skating from last year at all, either I was sleeping on a very good skater or he's improved dramatically in the past 9 months or so. Perhaps both. One to watch for sure

Looked a bit short on that opening jump, looked like only a Triple Toe, and it was two-footed. Missed the combo on that Triple Flip and stumbled out of it - no points on that, ouch. Nice spin. There we go, lovely Triple Axel. Nice step sequence. Nice spin.

Ouch on those mistakes - massive, and they will cost him. It's such a shame because Andrew is a sublime skater. His skating is like a breath of fresh air, and his musicality is just wonderful. This was not a good skate, though.
