Currently really sick (reaction to the COVID booster I got - but I’m getting better!) and I couldn’t help but think about being yandere!Neuvillette’s darling and being really ill. You do NOT want him anywhere near you but unfortunately, you are too bedridden and physically incapacitated to hide from him like you usually do. You can only scowl and pout as he dutifully places a cold towel on your feverish forehead. He hates seeing you like this, but a part of him is delighted that you have to depend on him, succumb to the overflowing love he holds for you, even if it’s temporary.

More crass and sadistic yanderes would refuse you proper medical care as punishment, but Neuvillette is at the complete opposite end of that spectrum; he’s bringing over melusines to help take care of you and ensuring that you recover quickly. Who knows, maybe once you’re out of the woods you’ll start to see him in a new light after how tenderly he treated you during your bed rest? Yeah, in his dreams

I haven't gotten all the way through everything, but I get the sense that he would be so adorably lost if you got sick. The main reason being, he has no idea HOW you became ill in the first place. You stay in the house. All the time. A full scale investigation would be launched into how you contracted such a severe illness and what he can do to prevent it in the future.

This makes me wonder though if Neuvillette himself can get ill. Sigewinne worries over his health, so in theory he probably can. To that end, I can see the army of melusines he brings in to care for you, actually stopping him from being near you. There's a knee high wall between him and you and he's just beside himself on what to do. All he gets told is that it's dangerous for him. They don't know what it will do to him. He needs to stay away, but one look over their heads has him resolving himself sneak in when no one is looking; just so he might have a much needed moment with you. If he gets sick afterwards, there's a chorus of I told you so's that echo in his ears for days.

In comparison with other yandere's, I think he could just wear you down after awhile. He's so pitiable. The act of taking you is unforgivable, but the life he provides isn't a bad one. He's not bad. If you think about it, he's probably not around much. You maybe only have to deal with him for a few hours a day, if that. Even with the melusines to keep you company, the solitude and the general lack of connection could begin to wear on you. To that end, at least to me, I can see someone just accepting the arrangement. Acquiescence to some of his wishes may provide you with an expansion of privileges while fighting him only limited them. I don't think he'll ever trust you or the world to the point that he would give you free reign again, but being allowed out in a walled garden while he supervises you through a window is certainly better than being trapped behind the glass for the rest of your life.

And since you're deciding to assume things about me and what I'm doing, I have been donating and boycotting, and have contacted my government, but there haven't been any protests in my area that I could attend to my knowledge (I have done research to varify).

And no I am not going to "calm myself". None of us should be calm about this. It fills me with rage and disgust what is being done to Palestinians, and it should do the same for you too. Have you not seen the pictures and videos from Gaza? Have you not seen Sidra Hassouna's dismembered body hanging from a wall? Have you not heard the many stories of people having their limbs amputated without anesthesia? Including the children? Are you calm about that? Are you calm about the bombs disguised as food cans left in a school to murder Palestinian children? Are you calm about the hospitals and schools that were destroyed? Are you calm that Rafah, the place Isr@el said would be safe, was massacred? Are you calm about this?

This is why I post, because people need to know what's going on, people need to see. I post because I can do it multiple times a day, I can share resources and Palestinian voices from my home or my work. I post because every reblog or retweet makes a difference, I post because it's the least I can do at any given moment. It's never the only thing I do, but it will always be something I do.

And why do you hide behind anonymity?

If you have such a problem with me and what I'm doing why not own it? I want to know who I'm talking to.

I just read “Love Me Tender” and I’m obsessed with the way you write yandere Neuvillette and his darling. He’s one of those yanderes who are just so soggy and pitiful. I love the idea of a powerful yandere utilizing their power and connections to keep you. The melusines would DEFINITELY watch over you per Neuvillette’s request. And even if they knew he kidnapped you, they wouldn’t do anything about it. Not out of any malice, but because they, like Neuvillette, genuinely believe it’s what best for you. I love non-human yanderes because you can explore the potential of them not understanding humans being a reason for their yandere-ness

I love, LOVE the idea that a darling being submissive or cowering like prey turns him on. I love yanderes who take pride in being gentlemen but then silently salivate at the sigh of your legs. Also, I wish this was included in more fics, but I love the idea of a darling absolutely refusing to be near their yandere. Even if they have to resort to sitting in the corner instead of the comfy chairs by the yandere. I love darlings who try to hang on to the last semblance of autonomy and independence you have.

If you ever write any more yandere Neuvillette in the future I would love to read it!

Awwww TY Nonny! I'm so glad you liked it. I almost didn't publish this because of how hard I struggled with it. I was considering waiting until 4.1 just to be sure I had his personality right. Ray Chase wasn't kidding when he said Neuvillette was complex AF. It took me a minute to figure out if this was really even plausible for him and what his motivations would and could be. Thankfully the stuff with Childe at the end of the 4.0 archon quest showed Neuvillette could be pushed into action. So the idea that he's happy with observation until he deems there's a threat seems logical. Considering there is a mafia of sorts in Fontaine, and the whole serial k*ller business, it only adds to Neuvillette's mindset. Darling vanishes while he isn't looking and the kill bill sirens go off.

I think he would go deeper in terms of filling a caretaker/protector yandere role. I couldn't work it in fully here, but I believe he would be the type to fuss over your nutrition, your exercise, and your general well being. Not to the point that it's invasive, but enough to where he insures you are being cared for. God help Fontaine if that man ever feels derelict in his duty. The difference between him and some of the other protector yanderes, is in my mind Neuvillette owns the fact that he's the source of you misery. He does what he can to fix it, but he won't deviate from any of his previous actions. He can't.

I love my power hungry yanderes, but it was nice to write something soft for once. His pining and yearning coupled with his own self awareness was an interesting challenge. I would like to get to know Neuvillette better. Like I said, he is a difficult one to get right. I have another one that I am working on for him. I'm just struggling with the end on it. There's a third that I started before he debuted that I'm going to have to completely revise, maybe. He's a bit sterner in it than what he is in the game and there's a slight abuse of power, so I'll have to see. He has that side to him, but I'd like to see more of it for actual research purposes. 4.1 will do a lot for that one, especially considering Neuvillette is willing to manufacture charges in the correct circumstances.
