Scott makes the best villain because he's normally super nice, but that cruelty is innate in him!! He even tells Derek that the Hales deserved to die back in season 1. There's so much potential for very casual "anyone who isn't friends with me is the enemy" energy there.

The sheriff & Scott - I 100% don't think the sheriff is the best parent to Stiles, and I think it slips out in moments where he praises Scott over Stiles or says that Stiles gets into trouble whereas Scott is more reliable. I think that contributes to why Scott looooves when authority figures praise him (the sheriff & Deaton) vs authority figures who don't (Derek & Peter.)

We discovered Scott's true purpose and that's villainy. The flavour of his "I know better than everyone what's right and wrong" is chef's kiss.

Scott's general attitude towards Derek is a part of my dislike toward him. Like I'm sorry he's the child of a divorce but Derek legit has no one except an estranged sister and an insane uncle. His family was brutally murdered in one of the worst ways possible right in front of his eyes. I don't know how I'm supposed to root for the person who tells people their family (including little kids!) deserved to be murdered for the sole reason of existing. And don't get me started on the whole biting Gerard thing.

On the second point. The creators of the show really had the father of another character slap Scott on the shoulder and say "welp, you're the main character so I'm going to support YOU and not my traumatized kid with PTSD who actually needs my support because fuck him". I get it Scott's a good boy and a hero but come on.
