A silly little SK appreciation post (may or may not be silly and or little)

Wow, 15 years. One long time, isn't it? I feel like starkid has sorta become a personality trait of mine. I'm the "starkid obsessed" one in my friend group. I make it very very obvious that I adore this group, everything they've done. From the fandom least favorites, to their most adored shows, I love it all. I don't think I'd really be the same person without these shows. I feel like that's a really big thing to say about something I'm not a part of nor have I been in the fandom for too long (i mean 2 and a half years is kinda long?) but I do think I can say I wouldn't be the same. It's gotten me into musicals that aren't Hamilton, that's already a great thing they've done! I've met some of the most amazing people through this fandom, talking about the shows themselves, they've made me laugh, cry, and throw things at my wall more than most pieces of media ever could. I'm rewatching avpm and just finding myself feeling really nostalgia for that old starkid feel. I mean I'm SO excited for Cinderella's Castle, I think from a technical standpoint it'll be their best show yet, but that put together college vibe just hits something for me, I can't describe it. The poorly made sets, the cheap costumes, the fact it's so low quality just makes it a better experience. And the music from these shows is just spectacular! Starkid has some of the best composers ever, I don't know how they find such talent.

I feel that since Hatchetfield released, npmd especially, those older shows aren't as talked about. Which is fair, we may be running out of things to talk about, but I think just rewatching them is an experience. If you haven't gone back and seen starkids older shows, there's truly no better time to start than now. You won't regret it. The fact some of yall don't know the amazing talent of their older actors hurts my soul to think about, we need more appreciation for just all the actors that aren't in the Hatchetfield shows.

Anyways, long story short, starkid is amazing, it's changed my life for the better, I love you all members of SK (doubt any of them will see this but I'll say it anyways), something something fuck clivesdale, something something this is all jafar's fault, and it's been totally awesome :)

firstly i haven't even watched descendants until last year when my friend forced me to and i absolutely fell in love with it

my favorite movie is def the second one, but my ranking goes two, three, then one. uma's crew brings exactly what it needed and i love them so much

in general my favorite character is evie i love her <3 mwah the older sister figure i never knew i needed

my name is raye fitzherbert and i am the child of rapunzel and eugene!

we are 18/19 and auradon is a university instead of a prep/high school

ben and i are basically like siblings as our parents are very close - unfortunately auradon believes we're arranged to be married since we are so close

i have a cat named sunny and she is an actual ray of sunshine i love her so much

here she is :)

i don't have any siblings, which is why ben and i are so close since we're only children

my wardrobe consists of a lot of yellow + lavender + light blue combos

i have a dagger that i have on me at all times just in case and know how to sword fight/use it

i look more like my dad but i have my moms eyes and freckles :)

𓆷 ━━━━━ extra details about my home + auradon ━━━━━━ 𓆷

while there are dorms in auradon, i do not have a roommate right now but i can request one if i want

in my home castle my room is up in the tower and is full of artistic doodles from my mom and i and its a lavender and sunny aesthetic

lots of purple and yellow if that makes sense (yellow is my favorite color even in my cr so it makes sense for me)

speaking of yellow my dorm at auradon is more yellow than lavender because its my favorite color :)

there's a lot of majors but i have no idea what i want to major in yet so i'm still figuring it all out

we actually use magic in auradon! i think magic is so central and our parents definitely passed their magic onto us so we get to use it

also in carona we have a lantern ceremony for my birthday and it is so beautiful i get emotional every time

so we celebrate my birthday and the day my mom was found, there's other festivals as well to celebrate things like harvest and fall <3

i am shifting to the first movie, specifically the day that the vks are coming to auradon!

i love to meet people and experience all of that so i get to meet the vks with ben and help show them around

nothing really changes in the first movie, mal doesn't drug ben because that was wild but ben definitely has had a crush on mal for a while now

i convinced him to propose his vk plan <3

in the second movie i also go to the isle with ben and we both get kidnapped!

i made a tiktok about this but i literally follow him and wind up being taken as well- oops

but hey thats where i meet uma's crew!

and harry but thats not important rn-

third movie i'm with jane for her birthday and meet up with everyone in the woods like in the movie

so yeah other than that its like super close to the movies

i can't wait for after the third movie though timeline was because it's going to be so fun with all the villain kids in auradon with us

especially uma's crew <3 i love uma so much i respect the hell out of her

as i already said, ben and i are basically siblings auradon doesn't agree rn smh

we speak to each other in french when we don't want others to know what we're saying

also as stated before ben has a HUGE crush on mal

because we've been doing research on the isle so he could propose his idea to his parents

i'm really good friends with jane and my friend sol :) idk if they're on tumblr but they are my shifting best friend and we script each other into our drs so we can meet

anyway sol is chad's twin and they're cinderella and prince charming's kids

her and chad are very close as siblings, brains and beauty frfr

i haven't met any of the vks yet but i hope to be really good friends with them :)

especially evie and uma's crew

but like i'm excited to meet everyone

lets talk about harry hook

i like to script scenarios so if you're not into that feel free to ignore this! i like to jot the ideas down so it finally leaves my head

sooooo harry has a little crush

that's the best way to explain it

so while ben has a crush on mal, harry has a little crush on a certain princess and doesn't think it'll ever happen until the press interview said princess where they state that ben and her are more like siblings not arranged lovers

so yeah :) descendants two is going to be fun

audrey doesn't like me or mal

she thinks i'm in the way of her families plan for her to be queen but i'm literally like go! take him! i don't want ben!

but he has eyes on mal so she doesn't like that either

other than that i'm very close with my parents and ben's parents

also gil and i are going to be best friends. i haven't met him yet but that's my goal because he also speaks french and is so naturally funny

in this dr we do still sing and dance which is so fun

my dance partner usually was ben, but after the vks arrived it turns into jay

jay gives older brother vibes idk he makes me feel safe

there's a ton of balls as well where we dress up and wear our crowns since a lot of us are princesses/princes

here's my crown :) its like a mini version of my moms crown but in my mind its more stylized to fit the yellow/lavendar theme i have

i love talking about my drs and this one is so special to me because the world is so amazing and i love the music so much

Even though I said I’d focus on the colors, I noticed this along the way !

There seems to be a few fairytale-y thing in RAC and i love it.

Moonlight Becomes You - Sinatra

Idk what the entirety of this song means lol. I mean, obviously it’s a sweet love song but there were so many things I didn’t understand in it as English is my third language and I have yet to master it 😭. So I did some research and apparently it’s from a movie (the first version of this song at least) and man sang it to serenade a princess under her balcony lol. I then thought that Taeddy could be the one serenading Angel (ofc)?? Also Angel says that Taeddy looks like a prince in D-D-D-Dim Sum and that she wishes she were his princess. Idk, just speculating (I’m looking for crumbs atp).

“With the way he holds your feet, like fragile flowers, worried they’ll be crushed in his hands, you almost feel like you’re in a fairytale. Sometimes he feels like he’s born from one… even when he’s upset. In a perfectly tailored tux and hair swept back, Taehyung looks like a prince.

“…It looks like a castle that’s been repurposed as a museum…” (Geraldson Residence) again princess themes lol. We know that Angel is insecure about her inexperience and the fact that Taeddy has seen so many women, so I find it really funny that you describe Anna’s house as a castle, maybe implying that she’s a princess, and then one chapter later tell us that Angel wishes she were Taeddy’s princess. 😭 Maybe Anna is everything Angel is not, or maybe she’s someone Angel wishes she could resemble. I mean, she has fucked Taeddy lol.

“A copy of The Canterbury Tales finally lays in your hand” again fairytale theme. Don’t know what this find symbolizes though as I’ve not read this book 😭.

I just thought it was adorable!

Ah! You picked up on my fairytale references! This is so exciting!

Okay so, for the most part, Rotten Angelcake is my way of working through my personal trauma. Writing a very sexy, plus sized woman who is inexperienced like me and so desperate for a sexy man (taehyung) to befriend and be close with has been my therapy lmao. With that being said, a lot of my personal wishes and life experiences tend to bleed into the story. I grew up loving fairytales so a lot of the fairytale references are a direct projection of my wants. I have always felt like a some aspect of my experiences reflect Cinderella's. I wanted to make some vague references, for Angel's context, of a rags-to-riches kind of story.

Since you mentioned a lot of examples of it, I will further break it all down. To start, Moonlight Becomes You just encompasses a lot of the atmosphere between Taehyung and Angel when they go out together. You're all dressed up to go dreaming. Now, don't you tell me I'm wrong is like the first line in the song (if I remember correctly). Do with that lyric what you wish 👀

Taehyung being a prince to Angel is more so like him being a saviour. He funds her life and keeps her company after that lull you have when you finish school and have no idea what you wanna do and all your college friends have moved on to other things. (Again, a nod to my life lmao) This is also a little nod to a Cinderella-type of fairytale since her prince saves her from her own misery as well.

The references of the Geraldson mansion being castle are simply pointing towards a world Angel does not feel very comfortable in since she does not come from a place like that. Taehyung, though is not born into riches, comfortable blends and fits in. Angel does not.

The Canterbury Tales is just a reference to my degree. It is a classic work and Taehyung is a classic, sophisticated and intelligent man. It seems like something he would pick up and read for the sentiment and not really the context. That's really why I mentioned it.

Ya..I had heard that about Castles Crumbling before but like you said..I guess we don't know if it's true but I always got that vibe cuz Castles Crumbling would be like happening slowly or like that vision of love she used to have..like the fairy tales and happy endings and not what she always thought or imagined. which is why I connected it to Love Story I guess cuz the castle.. or even similar to like Cardigan maybe? But I've also written a song of my own similar to that idea too so maybe that's why. It also kinda reminds me of the same idea in Beach Read that I'm reading right now. Also it reminds me of Cinderella which is from the Bejeweled video. So I would still be excited for that even if Hayley didn't feature. Also I just read your post about the collabs..lol but I hope you still like them. I guess we don't know for sure if it will have a pop punk vibe..cuz I think it might even be like Nothing New. Electric touch makes me think of a song like Sparks Fly maybe..but idk why but I'm really curious if it could be a regular duet too. Ya I think it might be an actual possibility just cuz using her name seems so specific to me..but it's also not like she never had fictional songs before. Someone said it could be like Mary's song and I would love that.. or maybe that one could be fairytaleish...like if it was really Ella instead! Then you would have your name in a Taylor Swift song! I didn't really do it with Midnights either..like I try not to force it but I guess sometimes it's easier with some titles than others. Cuz the rest I wasn't sure about..and that's so true about genres as well. I am usually pretty good at picking which ones might be favorites though based on the title..with Midnights it was maybe half and half but I remember picking Forever Winter from Red and that's one of my favorites. We'll see if I go in order or not..but my sister might get tired so idk..and yay for Mine being first and your favorite. I'm excited for my favorites too.. and just to hear updated versions..like Enchanted, Speak Now, Better than Revenge or Dear John! There was also another video that she filmed a while ago and I wonder what that could be for.

yeah I definitely get the feeling it's about that fantasy of the fairytale of love slowly falling apart, whether that's because of her own relationships or her parents or stories (or all of the above). I totally get that beach read idea!

I am still excited for the features, they're not like specifically exciting features to me but I'm looking forward to the songs!

haha yes I was close to getting my name in a taylor song but not quite 🤣 I agree about trying to guess what a song will be about from the title because I'm so often wrong, but sometimes (like with castles crumbling) it feels really clear. whereas ones like timeless could be anything.

I think dear john tv is going to be soo good with her stronger vocals! the only one I'm a little apprehensive about is last kiss because it's so specific with the shaky breathing and everything, but so far I do think she's done well at capturing the emotions of the originals. there's been so much happening recently I'd forgotten about that music video! I'm excited to see what that's about!

Part 3 of levihan children family fic hc outline idk what this is anymore.

(Part 1, Part 2)

Part 2 got wayyy too long so here's part 3 of that.

Recap: Levi and Hange had twins, Samson and Leighla (Sophie's aka drinkyourfuckingmilk levihan children ocs. Descriptions of their characters here except, I made a few minor changes to them) and currently, they're still 4 years old.

- So a week later, the twins are now attending preschool for the first time. Samson was excited, but Leighla was a little nervous.

- The kids at school found Samson very charming and were intimidated by Leighla, well.....except for one person.

- The teachers were telling fairy tale stories for story time and umm remember when I said Hange telling them the Grimm brothers original version?..... yeah.....Samson would constantly interrupt the teacher saying that's not true and would tell them the original story and Leighla would sometimes chime in.

- It was playtime and the kids didn't really want to play with them after all that, but Samson managed to charm his way into getting them to play with him and Leighla rolled her eyes and walked off.

- Leighla was sitting in the corner reading a book she brought with her (it was Cinderella) until she heard someone approach her. It was a girl with short, thick, wavy dark brown hair, thick black glasses, wearing a yellow headband, a white and yellow striped shirt, dark blue overalls, and yellow hightops (converse to be specific).

- "I like the book you're reading. Cinderella is my favorite story too. Mind if I sit?"

- Leighla shrugged and the girl sat down next to her and then continued talking and mentioned watching Into the Woods with her parents for family movie night and that version of Cinderella piqued (is that how you say it) her interest, but she's more into ghost stories (or monster stories).

- To Leighla, this girl strangely reminded her of her mom, maybe that's why she feels comfortable around her. Then Leighla blurts out her name unexpectedly.

- The girl giggled at her and offered her hand.

"I'm Ivelynn (eye-veh-lin), Ivy for short since my name is a bit long."

"Then, I guess you can call me Leelu, my family calls me that, sounds kind of weird."

"I think it's cute."

- The two got along really well and yes, Samson did meet her and took a liking to her since she genuinely wants to be Leighla's friend and the fact that she's her only friend.

- Levi picks them up from school.

- Samson definitely teases Leighla that she's her only friend and Leighla was going to punch him in the face until Levi told them knock it off.

- They told the 104th squad about their first day of school and the squad would complain about how hard high school is and to enjoy preschool while they still can.

- Samson brought up Leighla making a new friend and the kids congratulated her and asked that she should bring her friend over to the tea shop one day.

- As time passes, Leighla and Ivy has gotten closer, and Samson hangs out with her as well. They learned that she has two older brothers and they would try to scare her by telling her ghost stories and monster stories, but they only made her interested than frightened. They also learned that she’s very sporty.

- Hange got excited when she found out Leighla and Samson made a friend, and met her when Hange picked them up.

- Yes, the twins took Ivy to the tea shop and met the 104th squad and the staff.

- Levi thought she was alright and doesn't really care as long as the twins are happy.

- Sometimes Mikasa babysits Samson and Leighla (she’s the only one Levi trusts and Armin, but the 104th squad tags along with them anyways).

- Leighla loves how Mikasa does her makeup (i forgot to mention mikasa is a goth, basically the 104th squad are the same as who they are in the high school castle au) and she asked to give her a makeover and she did.

- Mikasa gave her a soft glam since she thinks giving her goth make up is too intense for a little girl.

- Leighla loves how she looks and Samson gave her somewhat of a compliment, “Wow sis, you don’t look as aggressive as you usually do. You should wear make up more often and maybe you won’t scare any kids away in school.”

- You can imagine the aftermath of that conversation.

- One day, on a lovely Saturday morning, Hange felt sick to her stomach and instantly went into the bathroom to throw up.

- Levi followed and held up her hair as she threw up. Hange then took the pregnancy test (she kept a couple spares in their drawers) and it came out positive.

- Since they can't leave the twins alone, they dragged them to the doctor's office for a check up and turns out she's almost 3 months pregnant.

Part 4 coming soon......hopefully....I haven’t started writing it yet.

Side note: yes i made an oc bc i wanted to give them (specifically Leelu) a friend, and here’s wat she looks like (i used picrew since I can’t draw to save my life, also imagine her with overalls instead of a hoodie and they don’t have darker brown hair, so....yeah) she won’t be too important since it’s not her story lol, but there might be something for her wen they get older 👀 but that’s looking a little too far into the future ;)
