Felinette Month Day 16
Pretentious
Marinette was a fashion designer. She didn’t like to talk about it. She was friends with Apidae. She didn’t like to talk about it.
Lila bragged about fake connections, and everyone fawned over her, but if she even mentioned a design contest she was joining, they all lost interest. She was being pretentious and selfish. It was better not to bring up herself. Better wait until later.
Luckily, later was now.
A soft tap on her window told her it was time. She tapped back and the little door over her bed opened and Apidae swung in.
“Hey.” She glanced up. “Popcorns ready, and there are cookies downstairs.”
He sat next to her, excluding a few of her movies from the pile. “We watched these last week.”
“Kay.”
They eventually agreed on a movie, Apidae going downstairs to grab some snacks as Marinette set up the movie. She settled on the couch, and Apidae came in, arms laden with snacks and sat next to her.
“So, how was your week?”
She made a noncommittal noise, eyes fixed on the screen. “Shh, we’re watching the movie.”
“Nette, we always talk during the movie. I ask you about your week, and you tell me about your projects. It’s the highlight of my day!”
“We didn’t do it last week.”
“Yes,” he threw an arm over her shoulder, “but last week Chat Noir came by to visit you and I panicked and stung him.” He cringed. “Not a lot of time to talk in between calling Ladybug and recharging.”
“Fair.” She shrugged, feeling his arm shift just slightly. “What do want to talk about?”
“Your week.”
“Ah, Umm...” she turned back to the movie. “Not much to report, really.”
“Are you sure? I saw that Culpa Designs was hosting a young designer competition. Did you join?”
“Uh, yeah. Not a big deal.”
“Not a big deal? Tell me about it, what are you planning?” He turned off the tv and moved his arm off her shoulder, giving her his full attention.
“You don’t want to hear about that.” She waved her hand. “Tell me about your day! What were you doing?”
He smirked. “Miss Dupain-Cheng, are you encouraging me to share facts that could lead to you discovering my identity? For shame.”
“I- I wasn’t-“ she groaned. “Fine. I was planning on making some kind of suit, but with a little twist. Happy?”
“Tell me about it. What colors, what fit?”
“Well...”
His eyes widened. “Don’t tell me you don’t know?”
“No, I do it’s just...” she sighed, leaning onto his shoulder. “I don’t really get to talk about this stuff and I want to make sure it’s interesting and modest.”
“I’m sure everything you make is-“
“Not the suit, describing it. No one really likes to listen to me talk about my designs so I want to make sure I describe it right.”
“Just try.” His blue eyes were as soft as she’d ever seen them. “I’m patient.”
And that was how they spent the next hour. Marinette leaning on Apidae’s side as she described the designs she was currently working on, and others she had already submitted to contests.
“I can’t believe I went with a purple! A PURPLE! No wonder I didn’t win; it was disgraceful!” She was sitting up straight, arms waving.
He laughed, tugging her back down to him. “I’m sure it was beautiful. Now, maybe be slightly more quiet? Your parents are probably sleeping.”
“Probably.” She agreed. “But it’s your turn, so shoot.”
“What?”
“Your turn. Tell me about yourself, something that won’t reveal your identity.” She added quickly as his mouth began to open.
“Okay... I’m a fan of flowers, and I’m trying to start a little garden in my room. My favorite color is blue, and Pollen and I like to spend Saturday morning drinking tea on my balcony.”
“That’s all really neat, but it’s not really fair, is it?”
“What isn’t?”
“That I can tell you all of these niche details and you can’t even tell me what school you go to.”
“I don’t go to school. My mother teaches me at home.”
“Still.”
“Tell you what, if I ever see you while I’m outside the mask, I’ll make an effort to meet you. Fair enough?”
“Sure.”
She must have dozed off for a second, because when she opened her eyes, Apidae was gone and she was curled up under a blanket that most certainly wasn’t there before.
A few weeks later, Marinette got a letter in the mail.
Congratulations! You are one of the winners of Culpa Designs first ever design competition. Lucky you!
You are invited to join Ms. Culpa in a photoshoot, where your design will be worn by one of the best models she has. Come to this address at 12:30, this Saturday, sharp.
I can’t wait to meet you,
Bridgette Culpa
She stared at the invitation for a moment, before squealing. This was the best moment of her life! She couldn’t wait to tell Apidae. She couldn’t wait until Saturday!
Marinette was in an impressive building. People with impeccable fashion sense bustled around her as Bridgette Culpa herself led her on a tour.
“…this is where we do makeup and hair, which as you know, are integral to the photoshoot.”
“Hey Bridge!” A woman with blonde hair waved from her chair. “Is that the contest winner?”
“Yep!” She patted Marinette’s back and she waved shyly.
“Hi.”
“Now, in this next room is where our models are being fitted. You won’t have to do much but offer some critique, but if you’re interested, we have an open space for an internship here.”
“I am definitely interested.” She gawked at her fashion idol.
“Splendid! Anna will give you the paperwork at the end of the day. But for now, allow me to introduce you to the best model Culpa Designs has ever seen!”
A blond boy stepped forwards, rolling his eyes. “Mother, please.” His gaze caught on Marinette and he smiled slightly. “Hello, I am Felix Culpa, it’s a pleasure to meet you.”

It's Part 3 of Miraculous Hero Names! It's been a while!
This is the main seven and the zodiac ones together because I couldn’t think of that many this time lol.
Parts: 1 2 3 4
LADYBUG:
Maroon Beetle
Vermillion Coulisses - I dunno it translates to Red Wings, but it just sounds cool in itself. Felix might pick it.
Scarabeè Rouge - Scarabeè Rouge means Red Beetle. I don’t know who’d pick this hero name, but I think it fits Alya. Maybe Nino?
Beetle
CAT:
Calamity Noir - I have no clue who this would fit, but it sounds cool so…
Matou - Matou translates to Tom Cat. I think maybe Nino would pick it? I dunno it just seems like something that would fit his vibe…
BEE:
Busy Bee - This one sounds kinda cute, so I think Marinette, or Rose, or Sabrina would pick it! Sabrina and Marinette are both hard workers!
Apidae
Thriae
Nahalat Qatila - Nahalat Qatila means Killer Bee in Arabic. Maybe Nino would pick this, or Damian if you’re doing a Maribat crossover.
TURTLE:
Tortue Verte - This means Green Turtle. This might fit Alya or Max? I dunno why I think Max would pick it, I just do.
Tortue Marine - I think a name like this would fit a swimmer like Kim or Ondine! It means Sea Turtle.
Vivaneau - This means Snapping Turtle.
Chaurli - This was the name of a giant turtle in Norse Mythology. Alix might pick something like this. I wanted to use Chleone, but that’s a name that people use for Turtle!Marinette already.
FOX:
Corasac - Corsac is a species of fox.
Fennec
BUTTERFLY:
Psyche
Viola Sovrana - This means Violet Ruler in Italian. I feel like Lila would either just stay with Papillion or she would choose a name that fuels her ego. I was gonna go with something like angel, but I don’t love the Italian translation.
PEACOCK:
Mille Yeux - Mille Yeux means Thousand Eyes. I think Juleka might pick something like that, Thousand Eyes sounds a little bit creepy. I think maybe Nino or Felix might pick a name like this?
Volaille Bleue - Blue Fowl, the translation definitely sounds cooler than the English, ha. I think Luka, Nino or Felix might pick it?
DOG:
Cerberus - I think this might fit Alix? Kinda?
Jackal - I think this one would also fit Alix, or maybe Nino or Kim?
Levrette - Levrette means Greyhound, I think it sounds pretty cool either way. I think Luka, Nino or maybe Marinette would pick it? I’m less sure on Marinette.
Grey Hound - Pretty much the same as the one above, but I think Felix would pick it.
RAT:
Mischief - A group of rats is called a mischief, also it’s cute. I think maybe Alix or someone like her would pick this.
Souris Sournoise - Sneaky Mouse. I dunno who would pick this, maybe Sabrina.
ねずみ/Nezumi - This is just Rat in Japanese. I’m not sure what name Kagami would pick with this miraculous.
TIGER:
Petit Tigre - I dunno who’d pick this, probably Mylene?
Bandes Noires - This means Black Stripes. I think it sounds cool, but there’s already a Chat Noir, so…
Tora - Tora is just Tiger in Japanese. Kagami might pick this one.
RABBIT:
Jackalope - I think maybe Nathanael or Ondine would pick this.
Lièvre Cobalt - This means Blue Hare. I think maybe Luka would pick this? I’m not sure.
'Arnab - This just means rabbit in Arabic. Nino might pick that or if you’re doing a maribat story, Damian.
ROOSTER:
Poulet Rouge - I dunno it’s just red chicken
Alectryon - A rooster god in Greek mythology. Alix might pick it, or Marc?
Gloria Mattutina - It’s just Morning Glory again, but in Italian for Lila.
HORSE:
Chevalla Porta - Portal Mare, I think Lila would pick this?
GOAT:
Faunus - A Greek god of fauns/satyrs.
Amalthea - A goat who raised Zeus. Alix might pick this, or I dunno Ondine? For some reason I think of Ondine.
Capra Carina - This is Italian for Cute Goat. I think Lila would pick names that boost her ego.
MONKEY:
Rouge Guenon - Red Monkey. Alya might pick this?
PIG:
Sanglier - Boar. I think maybe Kim or Ivan would pick this. Maybe Felix?
Porkchop - I just think it’s funny. Maybe Nino, Marc, or Nathanael would pick this.
OX:
Hathor - An Egyptian goddess. Alix might pick something like this.
Tauraue Bleu - Tauraue Bleu means Blue Bull. I think maybe Juleka or Alya would choose this name, or Ondine.
I have a document with a whole bunch of names, and I think I only picked the ones that I came up with but let me know if I accidentally put one someone else came up with/is using already!
Feel free to use them, just credit me! :) Don't feel obligated to use the character I suggested though!

Felinette Month Day 27
In between
Alya stared, blank-faced at the pair in front of her.
Marinette and Adrien had always had chemistry, but this was unbearable. They were just standing at the doorway of the classroom, each one offering to let the other go in first.
“You go ahead.”
“No, you, I insist.”
“Please, just-“
“Excuse me.” Felix walked in between the two without a second thought or a third word. He headed to his desk and sat down, flipping open a book and reading diligently.
Felix Culpa. The destroyer of her OTP. He was terrible, almost always introducing himself at the worst moment, never seeming to purposely do anything, but it always ruined whatever was happening between the other two.
Marinette seemed to hate him just as much, always tracking him with her eyes whenever he entered the room. Adrien was his usual oblivious self, giving Felix a grin whenever he saw him. He seemed to be making more of an effort to connect with Felix, since he and Marinette started their awkwardness. Weird.
Still, Alya was certain something had changed since last week. Marinette and Adrien had somehow become closer and more awkward simultaneously, but she expected that the two would be dating within the week.
Speaking of, the two walked in together, whispering and shooting furtive glances at the back of the room, where Felix sat. Clearly they had noticed his tendency to ruin their moments.
They slid into the front desk, Marinette shooting Alya an apologetic glance that she waved off with a knowing smile. If the lovebirds wanted to spend more time with each other, who was she to stop them?
Felix was avoiding her. She just knew it.
Ever since Team Builder, she and her two partners had been out of it. She and Adrien were getting to know each other anew, but Felix seemed insistent on never looking at them directly again.
Team Builder was the coach of a failing baseball team. She wanted the all teams to be honest with each other and share deep secrets to become a closer team. Her first target was her baseball team.
Her second was the group of three heroes.
After working through the trust-building obstacle course with ease, they reached the truth telling stage.
Some of the questions weren’t so bad, even things they’d talked about before.
“What is your greatest fear?”
“Who on the team do you trust most?”
“What is your greatest pet peeve?”
Easy answers, with little opportunity to hurt anyone, even the question about trust. Both of the boys said they trusted her most, and she begrudgingly revealed that she trusted Chat Noir more. Apidae faux pouted for a moment, but admitted that he expected that would be the case.
It was around “who is your crush?” that things started going downhill.
Chat Noir opened his mouth, probably to proclaim his “undying adoration” for her yet again, but choked.
“What’s wrong?” She had teased. “Cat got your tongue?”
“My L- M- Mi. Kagami Tsurugi.” The words sounded normal, albeit strangled, but his face showed that he did not intend for them to come out.
Apidae was next. He stepped forward, breathed in deep, and said without a waver in his tone.
“Marinette Dupain-Cheng.”
She didn’t say a word. She couldn’t. What could she say?
On her turn, she walked up, ready to spill her guts on her crush on Adrien, but the words wouldn’t come out.
“A- Adri- Apidae.” No. That wasn’t it. What was happening? Was this how Chat Noir felt?
Apidae coughed as the doors opened to the next level. Neither of them looked at each other as Chat Noir bounded ahead of them to what looked like the final stage.
“Welcome! You have proven yourselves to be a secure and trusting team. With this final push you will become the perfect team!”
Apidae snorted. “What? No, let me guess. You’re going to take our miraculouses and force us to reveal our identities to each other, so our final walls are down.”
“You’re close!” She waved her hand and chains appeared on their wrists. “I’m not giving Hawkmoth anything until he proves he can be a team player with his blue belle. But I’m also not giving you the chance to fight me until you prove yourselves. So here’s your final question; what is your true identity?”
Chat Noir grunted, shifting against the chains. “I’m not saying a- Adrien Agreste.”
“Chat! You’re Adrien? All this tim- Marinette Dupain-Cheng.”
Apidae made a startled sound. “We don’t have time for this. We need to stop her. Now.”
“How aren’t you saying it?” Ladybug glanced at him as Chat- Adrien used his cataclysm to destroy their chains.
“I’m not using the initial sound in my name.” He said simply, though it was clear that he was struggling with his words.
It was a difficult fight, with Apidae unable to communicate to the best of his ability, Chat and Marinette awkward and embarrassed, and Team Builders ability to manipulate their environment.
Apidae tried to use his venom, but it was blocked, and they were left with less than five minutes before she would be fighting alone.
And soon she was. Chat Noir detransformed to reveal Adrien, who, while athletic, did not have miraculous armor to protect him from the blow. He was knocked prone against a wall, and stayed crumpled there.
A minute later, Apidae detransformed too, revealing the crush she didn’t even know she had until then to be Felix Culpa. Felix still stood, weaving around every attack, using one of the still-intact chains to hold her.
“Ladybug. Lucky Charm. Now.” He struggled for hold her, only barely containing Team Builder.
“Right. Lucky Charm!” She threw her yo-yo and was met with a baseball bat. She knew what had to be done. She gave Felix a look and he nodded.
Team Builder broke free of his hold and knocked him aside, not hard enough to knock him unconscious.
Marinette distracted her by asking about her batting form as he got back up and crept behind her.
Like a well-oiled machine, she tossed the baseball bat to him as he leapt up, he caught it and swung it into Team Builder’s head, just barely fracturing her helmet. A fracture was all that was needed for the akuma to crawl out and get purified.
She tossed her miraculous cure, and waved for Felix and Adrien to scramble away as she knelt by the dazed coach.
“Are you alright, ma’am?”
“Yes, I think so, but I can’t remember anything.” She looked up at her with horrified eyes. “Was I akumatized?”
“I’m afraid so, but you didn’t do much harm.” Her miraculous beeped and she waved a goodbye before swinging away, catching Felix’s eye as she left.
They hadn’t talked since then. She and Adrien had taken every opportunity to talk to him and he made every excuse not to.
“Enough is enough.” She hissed at Adrien, during quiet reading time. “We need to talk to him now.”
“So you two can talk about your crush?” He teased with a grin.
“Not just that!” She felt her ears turning red.
“But mostly that.” He gave her a kind look. “Just let me handle it. You go stand by your locker after class.”
“Okay.” The rest of the class was spent on trivial topics, jokes, and planning fo make it easier to slip away during akuma fights.
She left to go to her locker after class, Adrien shooting her a wink as he walked purposefully towards Felix.
A few minutes later and she was at her locker, in the crowded room, staring at the doors waiting for Felix (and Adrien too, of course).
Suddenly, the doors slammed open to reveal Adrien, carrying a struggling Felix over his shoulder.
“Adrien, I swear to-“
“Yeah, yeah. We need to have a conversation, and you have to deal with it.” He commented with an east smile.
He set Felix down in front of her, restraining him in a hug.
“I do want to talk, but in front of so many people?” She glanced at Adrien, then the room.
It was deserted. In the few minutes she had been distracted, Alya has shuttled everyone out of the room, shooting her a wink and a thumbs up before exiting herself.
“Never mind then.”
“Sir please.” A squeak came from Felix’s bag. “I’d like to see Tikki and Plagg. Just for a moment?” An adorable yellow head gave him puppy-dog eyes.
“Fine.” She squealed and flew out, hugging his cheek and dive bombing Adrien’s bag. “But I want it clear that I’m doing this for Pollen.”
“Noted.” Adrien cautiously released Felix.
“So, what needs to be said? I feel that there’s nothing to be resolved.”
“I beg to differ.” Marinette took a step forwards, fully aware of how close her face was to his. “I think we have quite a lot to talk about. Like your crush on me.”
“You mean our mutual crush on each other.” His eyes bore into hers and she stepped back, rubbing her neck.
“Y-yeah. So...”
Adrien waved his hand. “I’m gonna step out and let you two handle this.”
Once he was gone, Marinette sat down, putting her head in her hands.
“I have a crush on you. You had a crush on me.” She murmured. “What else for you want me to say?”
“Well, ‘yes’ would be a nice start.” His feet shifted.
“Huh?” She peered up at him. His face was absolutely crimson.
He coughed a pulled out a crumbled sheet of paper. “Marinette Dupain-Cheng,” he glanced at her, “when I first saw you, I thought you were immature, and preppy.
Then I actually had a conversation with you and I was proven exactly right.”
She made a little sound of dissent.
“But accompanying your immaturity and preppiness, was a deep compassion, and an impeccable fashion sense. I fell for you and kept falling with every day I spent in your presence. So, Marinette Dupain-Cheng, will you go on a date with me?”
She stared at him.
“This is why I made the request that you say yes.” He whispered.
“Oh!” She straightened. “Right.”
“So...”
“Of course.” She beamed and lunged for him, hugging him as tight as she could.
“Finally!” Adrien shouted from the hallway.
“Finally.” Felix whispered into her hair.

Felinette Month Day 26
Playground
“Come on!” Ladybug laughed giddily as she took off running to the Eiffel Tower. “No weapons allowed, last one up buys Andre’s!”
“Didn’t we just have Andre’s yesterday?” Felix protested as Chat Noir scrambled past him to follow his Lady.
“Does it matter? Paris is our playground today!”
Ever since Apidae had joined the ranks of the heroes defending Paris, Ladybug’s mood had become much better. She was more willing to play around with Chat Noir’s jokes, and seemed more relaxed when faced with dangerous situations.
Apidae wanted to ask, wanted to know what had caused this change in heart. But there was rarely a still moment he could ask her.
“Keep up, rookie!” Chat Noir’s voice startled him from his thoughts.
He rolled his eyes and leapt to the next railing with the enthusiasm of an older brother forced to play with his siblings.
Soon, he was right behind Char Noir. An idea struck him. He grabbed at his tail and with pickpocket fingers, slid the belt off of his waist without him noticing.
Now, with his makeshift whip, he was able to swing easily up the Eiffel Tower, efficiently making his way closer and closer to the top.
“What?!” Chat Noir shouted, though it was muffled by the wind rushing through his ears. “Ladybug said no weapons!”
He grabbed his spinning top from his belt and tossed it at the cat, trusting his superhero reflexes to catch it before it hit him.
He met Ladybug at the top, greeting her with a salute and a little smile.
“Congrats.” She beamed. “Pretty resourceful of you.”
“Thank you.”
Chat Noir met them a few minutes later, huffing and puffing.
“Cheater.” He glared at Felix, but there was no anger behind it.
He wordlessly handed Chat Noir his belt and got his weapon in exchange.
“You heard the deal kitty,” she wiggled her fingers at him, “Andre’s. I want a vanilla and lemon.”
“I’ll have a strawberry and blueberry, please.”
“Okay, okay.” He laughed. “I get it. I’ll get it. You guys are just lucky I’m rich.”
As he left, Felix turned to Ladybug. “Is he really?”
She shrugged. “If I had to guess I’d say no, but who can say?”
She lay on her back, staring at the sky dotted with clouds.
Now was his chance. He could ask her why the sudden mood change. He opened his mouth to ask-
“Thanks, by the way.”
-and snapped it shut.
“For what?”
She didn’t really look at him, waving her hand lazily through the air. “For being here, I guess. It’s nice to have someone as... goal oriented as I am by my side. Chat Noir is a great partner, but he still acts like there are no stakes.”
“You can’t blame him. Some of this is... pretty incredible.”
She smiled fondly. “Yeah, it is. And I don’t think Chat’s home life is that great; he needs this as an escape. Nevertheless, it’s nice to have you here. I feel like a bit of the burden is lifted.”
“It’s nice to work with you; I’m glad I can help.” He agreed and lay back as well, letting the sun warm his bones and staring at the clouds.

Felinette Month Day 3
Tea shop
“Hello, Felix. Or should I say Apidae?”
“So it is you.” Felix breathed, fumbling with the pin on his jacket. “I believe this is meant to be yours.”
“Sir, no!” The little (genie? Mutated bug?) creature that came with the bee themed jewelry flew out and wrapped her little arms around his finger. “Please, let me stay!”
Felix was stunned. This was the most Pollen had spoken to him; it had been mainly “how can I serve you,” and “yes sir,” or “no sir.”
“I- I wasn’t- This miraculous was not intended for me...” he spoke, staring at the little being. “I cannot, in good conscious, take it from whomever Ladybug wanted it to be given.”
“But you enjoyed being Apidae, didn’t you? Please, sir, continue to help people with my assistance.” Her big, disproportional, blue eyes pleaded with him, welling up with honey looking tears.
“Pollen, I-“ he glanced at the elderly man uncertainly.
Before anyone could say a thing more, the door slammed open. “Master Fu! I am so sorry I lost the bee miraculous a little while ago against Style Queen; I thought I could get it back but it’s missing!” An exceptionally familiar groan announced the entrance of one Marinette Dupain-Cheng, his close friend and maybe-girlfriend, to the room.
“Hello again, Marinette.” The man, Master Fu, as Felix now knew, said with humor.
“I’m so so so so- Felix? What are you doing here?”
He couldn’t answer, and in the time it took him to overcome the awe of seeing Marinette with a red creature floated near her head, his own creature sped towards her.
“Miss Ladybug, forgive my bluntness, but please tell Sir Felix I was intended for him to use, so I don’t have to leave!”
“Wha- uh- Felix? You found- You took-“
“Pollen,” Master Fu interrupted, “why is it so important you stay with Felix? You’ve never shown a preference for who your holder was before.”
“Sir Felix is kind! He asks me what I want, and if he and help me! None of my holders have ever done that before.” She looked down, embarrassed.
“Pollen...” Felix whispered, stretching out a hand, that she rested on.
“Master Fu!” Marinette shouted, panic in her eyes like she didn’t know what she was doing. “Do I have your permission to give the bee miraculous to Felix Culpa, permanently?”
He smiled. “Of course.”
Pollen squealed and hugged Felix’s face. “Thank you!”
Felix grinned.
When they were both walking out, Marinette bumped shoulders with him.
“I’m glad you were the one who found it.” She murmured. “It could have been so much worse, like Manon, or,” she shuddered, “Chloe.”
“I’m happy I found Pollen too. She has been a good friend these past few weeks.”
“Well, now that you have a miraculous, do you want to come with me on patrol and officially meet Chat Noir? I have a feeling it will take a bit of explaining.”
“Of course; I’d like that.”
“And,” she began to fidget, “if afterwards you wanted to grab a scoop from Andre’s and sit at the top of the Eiffel Tower to watch the lights of the city?”
“I’d be amiable to that.” He smiled, and she blushed.

Felinette Month Day 5
Shenanigans
When Felix walked into his room, he was met by a box. An enormous box.
“What...”
He leaned forward to glance at the note, Pollen reading clumsily over his shoulder.
Dear Felix, I hope this finds you well. I wanted to make a gift for you, so here it is. You won’t be able to open it right away, though. You’ll have to answer questions and find keys to finish. I hope you like the surprise!
-Marinette
Felix pocketed the note and went searching for the easiest way to open the box. He found a little lock accompanied with a sticky note.
When’s my birthday?
Felix smiled and turned the lock to the correct digits.
The box fell open to reveal another box, in a beautiful blue.
When’s our anniversary?
Another easy one. The next box was yellow.
Go to our bench, there should bee a key.
Felix shouldered his bag and grinned at Pollen, who had finished reading the note with a simultaneous excitement and fondness.
“Looks like we’re going to the park.”
When Marinette and Felix left school, every day they would stop at the park and sit on the same bench under a willow tree to talk. It was pink, with speckled blue and yellow flowers.
When Felix went to the bench today, a little cardboard box waited for him. Inside was a key and another sticky note with a silly face drawn on it.
He chuckled at the ladybug that seemed to land on the head of the key, brushing it away and giving the key to Pollen for safekeeping.
The next few boxes were easy.
The name of a coworker?
C-H-A-T
The numbers on our first ticket stub?
8-0-7-3
Box after box, until there was a single, palm sized box sitting in front of him, with no note.
Felix puzzled over it for hours, reading over previous notes for any clues, checking places where they often hung out, where they had their first kiss, first date, where they met, still nothing; no key.
“Felix! It’s time for patrol!” Pollen flitted around his head nudged his shoulder.
“Right, thank you for the reminder.” He kissed the top of her head and with a ‘buzz on,’ he swung to the top of the Eiffel Tower, where Ladybug, his Marinette, was waiting for him.
“So, bee boy, I hear you’re having trouble opening a box.” Chat Noir smiled as he joined the two. “Luckily enough, I happen to have a key.” He dangled it between two fingers.
“What’s the catch?”
He smirked and stuck the key in his pocket, jumping into Ladybug’s arms. “That’s the thing. You have to catch meeeee!” And with that, Ladybug threw him across Paris.
Felix was off, dashing across the tops of buildings, and swinging to where he knew Chat Noir would land.
He almost didn’t make it, but he used the last of his energy in one final swing, sliding with arms open to catch a patient cat.
“Nice.” He commented, fixing the key out of his pocket and placing it into his hand.
“Thank you; now shall we get you back to our noble leader?”
“I thought you’d never ask.” He jumped into Felix’s arms and was thrown back to the tower.
Felix muttered a ‘buzz off’ and collapsed into his bed, bone tired.
“Did you get the key?” Pollen buzzed, sipping on some honey.
“Yes.” He held it up and Pollen swiped it from his hands pressed it into the key hole on the, what he hoped was final, lock.
The box fell open, and Pollen gasped, pressing her arms against her chest.
“What? What is it?” Felix lifted his head to see Pollen holding a black lock with silver writing and a note.
Meet me at the bridge?
He checked the lock, barely daring to hope, and sure enough, in silver marker, his name and Marinette’s written in a heart.

Felix Month Day 13
Horror stories @felixmonth
Living with Gabriel Agreste was a nightmare.
Every second of every day was accounted for, and if Felix or Adrien were even a minute late to any activity, they were grounded without question or a chance to explain.
Worst of all were the mandatory ‘family’ dinners.
Gabriel rarely showed up, of course. His business always came before everything else. Including his son.
Felix could care less about whether or not Gabriel cared about him, but Adrien had futilely chased his affections for years without any sign of improvement or success. It tore him apart and it hurt Felix as his cousin to see it.
Since Gabriel had the emotional range of a rock, Adrien got hurt a lot. As such, they had plenty of horror stories.
Felix liked to call them ‘the hundreds of times Gabriel refused to connect with Adrien and the one time it was too late.’
Some of those times were so heartbreaking for Adrien, Felix couldn’t help but recall.
When his Aunt Emilie died, a hush fell over the house. It was as if every color had greyed and every sound was muffled.
For Felix it wasn’t so bad. Aunt Emilie was an important person to him, but even at nine years old he was familiar with death and loss. It was almost numbed.
Adrien, on the other hand, was inconsolable. He communicated solely through nods and head shakes. He ate breakfast and dinner, but at lunch he couldn’t bear it; Emilie always made him lunch.
Then, one night, Felix woke up to wails intermixed with whimpers. Adrien was sitting up in bed, crying.
He had never done that before.
Felix leapt from bed, grabbed Adrien and ran to Gabriel’s room, pounding on the door. Whenever Adrien was sad or had a nightmare, he ran to Emilie and Gabriel’s bedroom to sleep. Surely it would work again.
The door didn’t open, nor was there so much as a sign that Gabriel had heard his knocking.
He slammed his fist against the door harder, more insistently.
Like magic, Nathalie appeared beside them and ushered both boys back to their room.
Adrien instinctually crawled into his bed and continued to cry.
Felix acted on a different instinct. He crawled into bed with Adrien and hugged him the way he had seen Emilie do before, rubbing small circles into his back.
He fell asleep long after Adrien stopped crying.
Felix was eleven and immersed in his language studies. He practiced with Nathalie nearly every day in order to distract himself from the fact that he hadn’t been allowed to leave the house for anything except fencing and photo shoots.
It hadn’t dawned on Adrien yet. He had slowly gotten over the grief of losing his mother and was once again his usual bubbly self.
His newest interest was sports of any kind.
He had a small ball that he would bounce all over the house. He would beg Felix to play kickball and catch with him. Felix always conceded.
But he was behind on his studies now and Nathalie wasn’t planning on letting him out of her sight. Adrien would need a new playmate.
Of course, since there were only five individuals in the home and Felix and Nathalie were busy, and the bodyguard was doing his job, the only playmate available was Gabriel.
Adrien bounded into the office holding out the ball eagerly.
“Father! Play with me!”
Gabriel didn’t look up.
“Father?” Adrien dared to move closer, placing the ball on his lap.
Gabriel lifted the ball and dropped it on the ground.
He climbed onto his lap so he would be forced to look at him. “Father, what’s wrong? Why aren’t you answering?”
Gabriel sighed. “Nathalie!”
She came in and sped Adrien away, leaving the ball and Gabriel behind.
The office was locked from that day on.
“What?” Gabriel roared at Adrien. “How dare you assume that I would allow you to go on a date!”
“Father, you like Kagami.” Adrien protested.
Felix stood by the door, shielded from view by a large plant. He told Adrien not to ask, to just ditch fencing and go on the date, but he insisted that Gabriel would want to be a part in this milestone of his life.
“I’ve already promised you to Miss Rossi!”
Felix felt his eyes widened as Adrien took a step back.
“Lila? Father I hate Lila; she’s nothing more than a liar! I’m not going to date her.”
Felix was nervous now; they had never back-talked Gabriel ever. There was no way Adrien would be allowed on that date.
Gabriel reared back his arm and before Felix could recognize what was happening, the sharp sound of hand against face resounded through the room.
Adrien stumbled back, mute. He mouthed ‘father’ one final time before he stood and walked out without another word.
Felix joined him and led him to the kitchen where he pressed a bag of peas to his cheek and assured him that it would never happen again.
Chat Noir landed beside him in Hawkmoth’s lair; Ladybug on his other side. This was their final battle, the end of the war.
“Adrien, Felix, Miss Dupain-Cheng.” A too familiar voice echoed from the depths of the tunnel. “It’s a pleasure to see you. Allow me to explain.”
Adrien fumbled with his his staff, his eyes like saucers.
Gabriel Agreste stepped into the light. A glass coffin rose from the floor. Emilie lay motionless inside.
“What?” Adrien whispered, horrified.
“You see, this is why I need the miraculous. To heal Emilie and rebuild the life I lost.”
“It was you? The whole time?”
“Adrien, you need the understand. I’ve been doing this for us. You, me, Felix and Emilie. I wanted to fix our family; make it whole again.”
Felix was just about to speak up, when a straightness came up one Adrien’s spine, and an almost blank look crossed his face. He recognized that posture. It was Adrien’s ‘perfect son persona.’ Felix knew it would be the last time anyone would see it.
“No. Mom’s disappearance didn’t destroy our family. The day you stopped caring about it was the day you broke our family beyond repair. Hawkmoth,” he leveled his staff at his chest, “prepare to meet justice.”
Felix scanned Gabriel’s face for any trace of sorrow. Nothing.
“Very well, I suppose I will take your miraculous with force as planned. Nooroo! Dark wings rise!”
All the sorrow missing from Gabriel’s countenance was clear on his kwami’s as he was whisked into a brooch.
Felix prepared for battle.
They won. The horror of Hawkmoth’s reign over Paris was over. Adrien and Felix were adopted by their bodyguard.
There were still little startles. Like when Adrien woke up screaming his mothers name. Or when Felix made a sarcastic remark and braced himself for the blow.
But they were happy now; their horror story behind them.

Felix Month Day 16
Haunted House @felixmonth
“It’s haunted, I’m telling you!” Lila whined to the class.
It was no use; now that the class knew of her dishonest habits, she held no sway over them.
“Give it up, Lila.” Alix hissed. “Ghosts, really?”
Marinette huffed next to Felix, Adrien in the swat in front of her.
“Who does she think she’s kidding?” She whispered.
“It does seem a little far fetched, even for her.” Felix replied.
“Does that mean she’s telling the truth?” Adrien glanced back at them, worried as always.
“No!” Marinette was quick to reply.
“No.” Felix agreed.
“I’m being honest! They’re not ghosts, they’re demons!” She was almost in tears. “I saw them! One was red with black dots, the other was yellow with stripes, and their leader was a black, horned creature was terrifying green eyes.”
Marinette’s bag wiggled and they heard a quiet sound of dissent.
Her eyes widened and she glanced at him and Adrien.
“Mademoiselle, may I go use the restroom?” They stood and spoke in chorus.
“Plagg, what did you do?” Adrien scowled at his bag as the ‘black, horned demon’ in question floated lazily to eye level.
“A lot of things, once I leveled a mountian; you need to be more specific.”
Adrien groaned and Tikki flew from Marinette’s bag.
“We didn’t hurt anyone! We promise.” She floated close to Marinette’s face. “Marinette, we never did any really crimes, just scared her a little.”
“But why?” Felix was puzzled. “What made you decide to... haunt? Lila?”
“I think I would be able to explain that best, sir.” Pollen sheepishly hovered from his bag and moved a respectful distance away from Felix.
“Pollen?” Felix felt his eyes bug.
“I can explain fully, sir. I swear.”
“I’m not sure I’ve ever hated a person before, Pollen. Not like this.” Felix mused as he walked home.
“Really, sir?”
“Please, I told you, call me Felix.”
“Not a chance, sir.”
“But anyway, yes. I do believe I hate her. Her lies are so spread out and so... inaccurate! She can’t even take the time and care to remember any of them. It’s just a mild game to her.”
“It’s okay to hate her, sir. So many of my bees are vengeful or petty; your mildness is refreshing compared to that.”
He snorted. “I am anything but mild, Pollen.”
She fixed him with a stare. “This is the only person you have shown a true dislike of. I have been with you for two years.”
“Lila is easy to hate.”
She nodded. “I have seen a lot of dramatics with my bees, but she seems to have every goal and none at all simultaneously.”
“Agreed.” He hung up his bag as he entered his home and handed Pollen a piece of honey candy. “I am going to listen to some music, or a podcast and destress, hopefully. You have free range of the house, as usual. My mother is out on business.”
She bowed close to his head which, as usual, caused her to tap her head against his.
“Thank you, sir.”
“Don’t wreak too much havoc.” He joked, heading to his room.
Once he was out of sight, she flew out of the room, then out of the house, intent on finding two other kwamis who knew what her chosen was going through.
She neglected to mention that she was just as petty as her bees when they are threatened.
“So, what do you want to do?” Tikki and Plagg were easy to locate and meet with.
“I’d like to freeze her in time forever.”
“YEA-“
“No!” Tikki flew between Plagg and Pollen as if physical separation would keep them from encouraging each other.
“Why not? It worked just fine when Plagg’s kitten got out of control.”
“You mean when you froze his daughter, while she was sleeping, for one hundred years and I had to send my bug on a quest to deliver a healing kiss?”
“She didn’t end up as another spoiled brat on the throne, did she?” Plagg had traveled above Tikki to sit next to Pollen. “That liar needs to be taught a lesson.”
“I’m not disagreeing with you, it’s just-“
“YEA-“
She interrupted him sharply. “It’s just that she’ll use it to gain more attention and the class will believe her. Or worse, she’ll blame Ma-“ she hiccuped, luminous blue bubbles spilling from her lips.
“I agree.” Pollen realized. “We’ll wait for a better time, when no one will believe her.”
“Good.”
Her mouth then moved into a smirk that mirrored the one of the cat beside her.
“When no one will care what happens to her.”
“No-“
“YEAH!”
When Lila was revealed, the three of them were all napping in Marinette’s bag. Felix, Adrien and Marinette all revealed their identities to each other which freed them from having their ‘kwami time’ in secret.
It was Alya who woke them up.
“I can’t believe you!” She was seething, tense, like she was hardly containing herself from attacking Lila. “You’ve been lying to us this whole time?”
“Not... the whole time?” Her voice was meek and her posture was the same.
“Really? Name one thing you’ve said that was true.”
“I- The...”
“I thought so.”
Deep in the bag, Tikki pulled out a piece of paper covered in scribbles in the kwami language. They reminded each other about the plan and prepared for battle.
They were going to haunt Lila Rossi.
“It started with just small things,” Pollen explained, “a shirt that felt a little scratchy, a board cracking under her bed, little things that would make her on edge.”
“But then someone destroyed her bracelet just before she put it on.” Tikki glared at Plagg who just stuck his tounge out at her. “And she got suspicious.”
“So we stared doing bigger things, a plant that she knew wasn’t there before, moments when she wakes up in a cold sweat and can’t move.”
“Destroying more stuff.” Plagg added.
“So, you’ve been haunting Lila for the past... month? Because I expressed a dislike for her.”
Pollen nodded.
“And you two did it because...”
“She was mean to Marinette.”
“I was bored.”
They all looked at the black cat.
“What? I was bored of hearing Adrien get all worked up and upset about it; I didn’t like it.” He mumbled.
Adrien beamed. “Well, if that’s all, I guess we better head back to class.”
“You two go ahead. I need to grab something from my locker.”
When they were gone, Felix held out his hands for Pollen to rest on.
“I am sorry sir, if I knew it would bother you I never would have-“
Felix kissed the top of the bee’s head. “Thank you Pollen. It means a great deal that you would do this on my behalf.”
She buzzed gleefully. “Anything for my bee.”
She accepted a piece of honey candy and flirted back into his bag.
Felix grinned a little, despite the circumstances and headed back to class.

FelixMonth Day 30
Library @felixmonth
Felix spent so much time in the library, the librarians all knew him by name and he knew each of them.
“Felix! How goes that project?” A woman with long curly hair nodded at him from the desk.
“I finished it yesterday. This is recreational. How is the wedding planning going, Ellen? I found a few magazines that might help.” He placed the three magazines on the desk.
“All about spring weddings. Thanks Felix, this will really help.”
“Any time. Is there an update on the...”
“No, not yet.”
He nodded. “Okay, keep me updated.”
“Sure thing.”
“Sir, what are you looking at?” Pollen hovered in front of him, staring at the book on botany he was reading.
“A book...”
“What are all of those symbols? Where are the pictures?”
Felix froze, turning to stare at Pollen.
“Pollen... do you not know how to read?”
She looked down at her arms. “No, I don’t, sir. My buys were privileged to be literate, but I as a servant was not worthy of learning.”
Felix stood abruptly and walked to the children’s section.
He grabbed a few random books and headed to the front desk to check them out.
“What’s up, Felix? Feeling nostalgic?”
“No, I have a little... cousin, who I am going to teach to read.”
“Well, that’s very admirable of you.”
He nodded and accepted the books.
Pollen flew up to him as he left.
“Sir, you don’t need to-“
“Yes, I do, Pollen.” He interrupted. “You deserve to read. You deserve freedom of information and it was wrong for any of your past chosen to keep that from you.”
Pollen buzzed a pleased trill.
“I suppose... you insist.” She flitted to the first open book.
“This is an ‘A.’ It makes an ‘ah’ sound like in ‘apple.’”

Felix Month Day 10
Cabin fever
Felix was locked inside.
He understood the need for quarantine, and accepted it. But he didn’t like it.
He thought it was a blessing; time to himself without forced interaction with others. Then he got bored.
He finished online classes with ease; the website his school chose to use was not suited for his brand of intelligence.
He learned new recipes to cook and wowed his mother with flavor.
He found time to design new pieces of jewelry, but without access to the workshop, they were useless.
Even Hawkmoth has abided by social distancing; he didn’t send out even a single akuma.
So Felix sprawled upside down on a chair as he scrolled absentmindedly on social media.
“Felix, are you quite alright?” Pollen flitted around his head in a worrisome fashion.
“Absolutely. Why would you think otherwise, Pollen?”
“You haven’t moved in three hours, sir. And far be it from me to question my lieges, but you don’t normally do that.”
He sighed. “I’m out of things to do, I’m afraid.”
“How so?”
“I have exercised all of my favorite activities to death.”
“Why not try a new one?”
“Like what?”
“Gardening.” Pollen flew very close to his face. “Oh, it’s been so long since I’ve had a bolder that gardened.”
“I’m afraid I don’t know much about gardening.”
“I can teach you, and you are very good at looking things up on that shiny box, no?”
He chuckled. “Yes, I am rather adept at researching on the laptop.”
“Please, sir? It would mean so much.”
“Alright.” He put his phone away, and righted himself. Pulling out his laptop, he asked, “What kind of plants should I be researching?”
“Try succulents, as a start.”
“Okay.”
Felix spent the rest of that day, the rest of quarantine gardening, until every room had a plant growing in it and his balcony looked like a jungle.
Pollen seemed to enjoy it, flitting around the plants in a game of solitary hide and seek.
“Thank you so much, Sir Felix!” She nuzzled his face and returned to drooling over the plants.
“Anytime, Pollen.”
It seemed that it was much easier not to have cabin fever if he hid the walls of the ‘cabin’ with leaves.

Felinette Month Day 3
Kwami swap
Felix was just reading, ignoring the signs of the akuma outside, with full faith that Ladybug would save Paris yet again, in time for his outing with Marinette.
Soon after, the magic ladybugs flew over Paris and Felix knew he was correct. A flash of black sped into the room and green light told him that Chat Noir had just detransformed under his desk.
A black cat floated lazily from behind the office chair, holding a black ring.
“See ya, Mar- Lady Noire! It was nice working with you.”
“Bye Plagg, tell Tikki where I am, will you?”
“No problem.”
Felix sat in his bed, stunned. Lady Noire, who he assumed was Ladybug, had just detransformed in his bedroom, and wasn’t planning on leaving until her kwami got there.
“Hi, you’re Felix, right? The boy I chose for Apidae?” The familiar voice sounded from under his desk, referring to his time spent as the bee hero.
“Yes, that would be me. Why, may I ask, are you in my bedroom, and not, say, in your own room?”
“Well, I wanted to ask you about something, how would you feel if you became a more… permanent hero?”
“Excuse me?”
“Well, akumas are getting worse and worse, and with Hawkmoth working with Mayura more frequently, I could use heroes that are avialiable to help without me stopping to get their miraculous.”
“Yes, that makes sense, but why me? Why not Rena Rouge or Carapace? They have more experience, after all.”
“That’s the thing, they’ve been doing it longer, but they tend to act like it’s just a game, like Chat Noir. I need another partner who can take the responsibility of guarding Paris.”
“Ladybuuuuuug!!” A little red and black bug flew in through the window, darting around Felix’s room.
She flew up to Felix’s face and narrowed her eyes. “Where’s Ladybug? What did you do to her?”
“Tikki! I’m under the desk!”
The kwami darted under the desk and in a matter of seconds, Ladybug was leaping out of his window.
“Talk to you later, Felix! Bug out!”
Felix laid back on his bed and thought about what being a permanent hero would mean.
On the positive side, he would be a part of something bigger than himself. He would protect Paris from akumas alongside Ladybug and Chat Noir. He would get to see Pollen on a daily basis as well.
On the negative side, it would take up a fair amount of his time, at any moment an akuma could strike. He might even die fighting an akuma. Not to mention there would be less time to be with his girlfriend.
As if called by his thoughts, Marinette texted him.
Nette 🌸: Where are you, I’m waiting at Andre’s?
Fe 😾: Sorry, I was held up. I’m coming now.
He dashed out of his room, leaving all thoughts of Ladybug and Apidae behind, in favor of being with his girlfriend.
——————
Felix smiled and fell into his bed, still tasting the caramel topping of the ice cream he had shared with Marinette.
“Oooh!” A tiny voice sounded from inside his bag.
Felix opened it to reveal a familiar box, with a bee pin inside.
When he opened the box, a bright ball of yellow light flew from the pin and Pollen opened her eyes in front of him.
“Hullo, my liege!”
“Pollen, I’m so sorry, did I hurt you?”
“No, I’m fine sir. All is well!”
“I that case, welcome back Pollen.” He grinned as he clipped the pin onto his lapel. “Might I ask how you got here?”
Her head drooped. “I’m sorry, my liege; I don’t know. I assumed Ladybug gave me to you.”
“That’s alright Pollen, and please, call me Felix.”
“Wait,” her antennae pricked upwards, “does this mean you’re a permanent hero? I get to say with you?” She was buzzing with excitement.
“I believe so.”
“Lovely!”
His phone buzzed for a moment and he looked down, seeing another text from Marinette.
Nette 🌸: I’m turning in for the day, goodnight my bumblebee! 🐝
Bumblebee?
Felix pulled up the notes app on his phone and typed a quick sentence.
Marinette is Ladybug?

Day 14: Model AU
(Another continuation of my day 10 & day 12 fic)
“Hello, my name is Kathy. I’ll be your photographer for the day. For the shoot, I was thinking of a classic ‘sun and moon’ thing.”
Felix groaned internally. Another sun and moon shoot, painting him and Adrien as complete opposites. Insufferable.
“…so that’s why we’ll be bringing in a girl to be the moon to Felix’s sun.”
What? “Excuse me, don’t you mean Adrien’s sun?”
“No, the sun is harsh but helpful, like you it is factual. Adrien is going to be doing a later shoot with another girl. Truth and lies”,
“Now, as for your shoot, you’ll be wearing sharp, regal clothes. Act stern, but merciful at times. As for your partner…”
Please don’t let it be one of those insufferable modeling girls. Let it be someone down to earth.
“…we thought playing up your differences would help so we pulled in a more common girl who fit the part.” She turned. “Marinette?”
The bluenette stepped out, looking bashful. She was wearing a pastel blue dress, simple but elegant. Her shoes were understated dark blue flats and she was adorned with all sorts of silver jewelry. “Hey, Felix.”
Adrien elbowed him, jolting him from his trance. “Oh, yes. Hello Marinette.”
“Sooo, how do you like your outfit?”
“Actually, I was thinking that it would look better with pearl jewelry instead of silver. Could we make that happen?”
“Of course!” Kathy beamed. “I’ll get right on that! Now, as for your poses, I was thinking of Marinette on a blue flowered swing in front of a picture of a crescent moon, looking graceful. Felix, I want you standing on the ground in front of a setting sun, staring up at her, hand on heart awestruck.”
“Ok!” Marinette began walking up to the swing, accepting the pearls from a nearby worker and replacing them with the silver she was previously wearing.
“Sounds like an interesting change of pace.” Felix left to change into his clothes, Adrien close behind.
“So... Marinette’s modeling with you?”
“Yes, she is. What about it, Adrien?”
“Well, you’ve been crushing on her for a while now… today might be the perfect time to confess!”
“And embarrass her? I think not. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to change.”
————————
After taking a few pictures in the first pose they moved onto the next. And the next. And the next. When people wondered why Felix detested modeling, he wanted to scream, this! This is why I hate modeling!
“Okay! Final pose. Marinette, I want you to lay down on the swing, head in hands, and stare down at Felix. Felix, I just want you to crouch down and touch a flower.”
He did so.
“Perfect! Aaaaand, we’re done! You two can change and leave.”
Finally.
Marinette began to crawl from her swing to the ladder, but stopped. “Hey, where’s the ladder?”
“We took it off for the shoot, I’ll go get one.”
Felix stood still watching as the swing began to wobble, then break. Quicker than he could process, he launched forward, catching Marinette soundly in his arms.
“Are you okay?”
“Y-Yeah, fine.”
A click was heard and they both turned to see Kathy standing there with her camera, a wide smile on her face. “Perfect.”
—————
As they walked out, Marinette began to speak. “That was so… dull. I mean, at the beginning it seemed kinda exciting, but then…”
“It began to drag on and on, with seemingly no end?” Felix suggested.
“Exactly. I don’t know how you handle that all the time.”
“Nor do I.”
As they passed another room, Felix glanced in and saw Adrien with his partner, Lila.
“Now, for you Lila, I want you to act a little seductive, as a former model yourself, you should do well. As for Adrien, just act righteous.”
“Aw, poor Adrien.” Marinette cooed. “He has to deal with Lila for all those hours.”
“Poor Lila.” Felix corrected. “She’s about to learn how hard it is to be a model.”
“Right,” she giggled, “anyway, want to go to my place and play some Ultimate Mecha Strike three?”
“Or we could go get coffee?”
“Even better! I’m so drowsy from sitting around perfectly still.”
“You’ll find that modeling sucks all energy out of a person. The only solution is an unnatural dedication to caffeine.”
“Then let’s go!” She looped her arm in his and began the trek to the coffee shop. Leaving modeling far behind.

Day 25: Personality Swap
Of course he got hit by an akuma.
Of course Adrien was hit as well.
Of course it switched their mindsets.
How absolutely, entirely-
“Cool!” Felix looked around. “I’ve never seen the world from this point of view! You can barely even see the piles of rotting garbage in the alleys, but I’m sure they’re only there by accident.”
“Felix, Felix?” Adrien was scanning the scenery with wide eyes. “What’s happening, everything looks so… sad.”
“That’s just because I’m a realist and you’re not. When we switched we switched views, so know we see the world differently.” It was an odd feeling, being so cheery. He would have to tell Marinette, his best friend!
“Felix. This is awful. I want out.”
“Don worry, I’m sure Ladybug-“ He was cut off by his own sigh. Ladybug. Of course she would fix it. She was so smart, so resourceful, so… miraculous. No wonder he was in love-
What? No. No, he had no romantic feelings for Ladybug. His affections belonged solely to Marinette.
But Ladybug was so…
No, Marinette!
But Ladybug.
Marinette.
He groaned, squeezing his eyes shut and clutching his head. This was torture. What he already knew about himself and what he felt seemed to be contradicting each other. Truly painful.
“Adrien.” He grunted. “We need to help Ladybug.”
A determination filled his eyes. “Right! We can’t just leave our partner in the dust.”
“Let’s go. Pollen, BUZZ ON!”
“Plagg, CLAWS OUT!”
Soon Apidae and Chat Noir were bounding across the rooftops next to Ladybug.
Felix sidled up to her. “Well, Red, I have to say you look even more beautiful that last time I saw you.”
She paled. “Apidae? Are you… alright?”
“No.” Adrien spoke before Felix could answer. “We got hit by the akuma and our personalities swapped.”
“Is that why you’re so…”
“Duitiful and focused? Yes. It’s also why he,” he nodded at Felix, “has an infatuation with you.”
“Is there anything we can do to get him to stop?” She grunted, trying to pry her arm from Felix’s grip.
“No, he told me he tried to convince himself that what he felt and thought wasn’t him, but then he got this massive headache. We just have to deal with it.”
“Like I do with you.” Ladybug supplied.
He pouted. “I suppose so, yes.”
“Okay, here’s the plan, I’ll distract Confuzzler while Apidae comes up and uses venom on them. Chat Noir will go, break the puzzle piece and I’ll cure it. Everyone got it.”
Before they could nod, Alya Césaire and Nino Lahiffe came bounding up. “Ladybug! We need help.”
“What’s up?”
“Our friend, Marinette. She’s- we lost her! In the subway station. The akuma was heading there!”
“Marinette?” Chat Noir’s ears popped up. “I’ll go! Be back in a flash!” He darted off to the subway, to save Marinette, something Felix would be doing, had he had his personality.
Ladybug groaned. “Okay, let’s go face Confuzzler.”
He took this opportunity to link his arm with hers. “Yes, let’s, my red spotted warrior.”
She groaned again.
————————
“MIRACULOUS LADYBUG!”
As the ladybugs washed over him, he felt an immense sense of relief. Back to normal.
“Are you both… okay?”
“Yes, I am back. Thank you yet again for leading us to victory.” He tilted his head in a bow and accepted her fist bump.
“I’m back to my purr-fect self, M’lady.” He stooped low and kissed her hand. “Did ya miss me, Bugaboo?”
“Some aspects less than others.” She giggled and stuck out her fist.
“Well, we will see you next time Hawkmoth deems it necessary to make people afraid of feeling any negative emotion. Good day, Ladybug.”
As to two brothers were about to flip off of the rooftop, they turned to each other and shared a fist bump. Then, they were out of sight.
After detransforming in the alley, Felix was pounced on by Adrien. “I knew it! I knew you had a crush on Marinette! I knew it!”
He pushed Adrien off and dusted his vest. “Yes, Yes, you knew it. Now we have fencing in about five minutes and we are four minutes away from the school, it’s best that we hurry.”
Adrien kept the stupid grin plastered to his face.
He sighed. “What?”
“It’s just, it good to be us again.”
Felix returned the grin. “That it is.”
“That, and YOU HAVE A CRUSH ON MARINETTE!”
Felix pounced, slamming his hands over Adrien’s mouth. “Say it any louder, will you?”
“Sorry.” He mumbled through his hands. “I’m just so excited! You’re not going to be alone!”
“I was never going to be alone,” Felix hissed, “you’re so incompetent, that I’ll have to be with you your whole life, making sure you’re on time. Now, fencing. Let’s go.”
With Adrien safely behind him, Felix allowed himself a smirk. There is no one else who can handle his personality but him.
