I'm going to say this. If there was a Quiet Place AU, Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng would be dead. Lan Wangji would survive. Luo Binghe would die, Shen Yuan would live (?) Shang Qinghua would die. Mo Beijun would live. I don't know about Xie Lian and Hua Cheng.

📽 TobiView 📽 A QUIET PLACE 2 🤫 “A Quiet Place“ überraschte viele, gehörte 2018 zu den 30 erfolgreichsten Filmen, war in meinen Augen einer der besten Filme in dem Jahr und es überraschte natürlich nicht, dass bei diesem Erfolg eine Fortsetzung folgte. Ursprünglich für einen Kinostart im Frühjahr 2020 konzipiert, wurde der Start coronabedingt mehrfach verschoben, aber jetzt war bzw. ist es endlich soweit: A QUIET PLACE 2 läuft in den deutschen Kinos. 😧 Die Story knüpft quasi nahtlos an Teil 1 an. Die Charaktere bewegen sich immer noch in einer Welt, die von Kreaturen überrannt wurde, die nach Gehör jagen und beim kleinsten Geräusch meist tödlich zuschlagen. Doch zunächst werden die Anfänge der Invasion beleuchtet.  Im weiteren Verlauf um ein paar Elemente erweitert ist A QUIET PLACE 2 ähnlich spannend wie Teil 1, allerdings schwankt die Spannungskurve im Mittelteil. Die Faszination von Teil 1 kann in der Fortsetzung nicht ganz aufrecht gehalten werden. Die “AQP“-Welt gut zwar erweitert, bietet aber wenig Neues. Ungefähr ab der Mitte gibt es Szenen die stark an das Videospiel “The Last Of Us“ erinnern. 😶 Der Cast macht seiner Sache super. Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds und Noah Jupe übertreffen ihre Leistungen aus Teil 1. Cillian Murphy als Neuzugang macht seine Sache sehr gut. 🤐 Die Inszenierung ist super. Der Sound überzeugt besonders im IMAX auf ganzer Linie. Gepaart mit modernster Tricktechnik wird eine förmlich zum zerschneiden dichte Atmosphäre erschaffen, die ich mir in so vielen anderen Filmen auch wünschen würde. 😦 A QUIET PLACE 2 ist eine gute Fortsetzung, die atmosphärisch überzeugt und ihre technischen Muskeln besonders im IMAX sehr gut spielen lässt. oh my god sorry to come in here totally out of the blue but did i just see... in your tags... you were working on a barduil quiet place au??? that sounds amazing i would love to hear more (no pressure of course)

I do in fact have a barduil quiet place au, with a partial genderbend and loosely following the outline of the first movie. Thranduil and Legolas took shelter in a forest at the beginning of the societal collapse and have remained there for nearly three years, but a forest fire forces them to abandon their home, and they travel south hoping to find shelter before winter. On the way they encounter the Bowmans, who've turned sheltering in place into a fine art, and who believed they were the last people alive until the moment they encounter Thranduil and Legolas. Complications ensue.

The most substantial alteration I've made to the original (so far) was giving Legolas hearing aids rather than a cochlear implant, although the batteries in his hearing aids have been dead for some time by the time the story begins. I'm around 28k into it so far!

AQP AU! Shen Yuan dies when Shang Qinghua shows him a trashy romance novel that was written during the whole silence thing. The only reason they survived was because of Luo Binghe's protagonist Halo letting him kill the monsters.
