For both Argenta and Syzh'favia: 🎻 🍎 💜?
Always glad to see you! <3
🎻 VIOLIN — does your oc play any instruments? what is their skill level (beginner/intermediate/advanced/virtuoso/etc)?
Argenta - well, she has a lovely singing voice, but isn't really proficient with musical instruments. Aside from a flute, which she sorta picked during Free Crusaders' gatherings in The Sanctuary of The Silver Symphony (her Court), but she is an amateur :)
Syzh'Favia - now, she is a daughter of two bards from a musical troupe, and she can, more or less, play any "popular" instrument (like the ones presented in the game), especially if it's a simple folk melody, but her instrument of choice (and for self-made improvisations) is lyra, and Favi is, indeed, a virtuoso with it. In fact, that's how she made a Pact with her Patron - during one of the troupe Sword Coast tours, on a town's Summer Festival she met a fellow wandering lyrist, who, having heard her performance, challenged Syzh'Favia to a music duel. On a condition that the winner will receive the loser's instrument as a prize. And after a hard, but fun competition concerto their audience finally declared Favi's victory. So her rival's fulfilled the terms... And then it turned out that their lyre was magical, the rival themselves was a fey in disguise and has now bestowed a part a their powers on the astonished tiefling bard through said lyre. So Favi needs it to do any of her magic, but the fey's lyre can't really be lost, stolen or broken forever - she can summon it back anytime she wishes. As long as Syzh'Favia doesn't abandon her musical craft and writes at least few new songs each year :D
🍎 RED APPLE — where was your oc born? do they still live in/around their place of birth or do they live somewhere else? how do they feel about their birthplace?
Argenta - Was born in Ardis, Ustalav, but didn't stayed here for long, as her mother, Ruxandra (former) Mivirania, run away from home soon after Argy's birth to save her daughter life and/or future. They and Rux's friend-turned-lover-then-turned-wife, Pheli the gnome shaman wandered the Ustalav for some time, moving south before crossing to Lastwall and, eventually, to north Nirmathas, where they finally settled for good. Well, her mothers did - Argenta left on her 18th birthday, fused with Silver Lining and went back to Ustalav through Varisia and Realm of the Mammoth Lords. It has the most pleasant climate and aesthetics for her, but she is certainly no patriot, she just was a (mainly) undead hunter and Ustalav has plenty of bounties for them.
Syzh'Favia - since game give me no choice in the matter (unless i missed something), she is baldurian. She loves her city and it's people - for they make a good stage and even better listeners for her performances! And are good people in general, too! Though she had to leave Baldur's Gate pretty often with the rest of musical troupe, and was in a lot of other Sword Coast cities and even traveled to Moonshae Isles a few times. But Favi has always counted Baldurs Gate as her "true" home - even if she doesn't *yet* have her own house here (the troupe lives in commune).
💜 PURPLE HEART — what is your oc's ancestry/genetic background?
Argenta - she is a bastard offspring of Mivirania, a minor noble human (with a very-very small drop of elven blood) family in Ardis. They don't really have that much in wealth or influence, especially compared to other noble families, but, my, do they try to compensate it with pride and arrogance! So when Ruxandra, the youngest daughter, who was to be wed with the son of another noble family, suddenly turned out to be pregnant and gave birth to a foul half-undead, the heads of the family got very angry and decided that in order to save the prosperous marriage they will 1) Keep the whole deal in secret and 2) Dispose of the child in unspecified manner. And that's when Rux, the meek, the quiet and the obedient (but also optimistic and kind) finally snapped, teamed up with eager Pheli, grabbed Argenta and sneaked out of her (frankly, abusive) household for good. Good for her.
(As for Argenta's father - well, for a long time everyone thought, for an obvious reason, that it was some moroi vampire, encounter (and, well, everything else that transpired) with whom shocked her mother so much that she forgot everything that happened. But then, during the Fifth Crusade Argenta learned that, apparently, it was Areelu's doing. She, as usual, was experimenting.
Tumblr media
(It's actually a pretty old picture, from Beta days of WoTR, hense Areelu's tabletop face and Argenta's edired portrait. Back then, it was a joke).
And after this moment, it was even more abundantly clear that there will be no peace, because nobody really hurts Argenta's mom like that and ruins her life (from Argy's POV) and then doesn't get wrecked. Don't push that red button.
And by "wrecked" i don't mean just punched or killed - it means "i am going to play along that i am your dead daughter and your experiment was a success, use you to ascend myself and my friends (and also kill two other big assholes along the way)... and then i will throw you in a ditch, and in your last moments you will know that you have been played. Oh, did i mention that i will ask Pharasma to erase your soul, too?" There is a reason why Argenta is a CG who is still close to CN - there is a dark side from her connection to negative energy, she just keeps it in check. In absolutely most cases.
(And, tbh, Areelu did a lot more than just hurting Rux to deserve such strong attitude from Argenta. It was more of straw that broke dhampir's back, i think).
Syzh'Favia - in contrast from drama that is above, her family life is a lot more simpler. She is a Mephistopheles tiefling daughter to a Mephistopheles tiefling father and an Asmodeus tiefling mother, who, as stated before, are both bards in a semi-wandering troupe of musicians, jesters and magicians. She is the only child, but had a few kids more or less her age among other troupe members as playmates and childhood friends. They weren't (and aren't) any big superstars, but are known in some circles, make a decent coin on performances and love each other very much :3
During the game events the whole troupe, including Favi's parents, were in the middle of yet another big Sword Coast tour, on which Favi herself didn't went, and learned about the illithid-tadpole business after everything was already over :D

i still think it's a missed opportunity that we don't know MORE about Argenta . Like she gives off such vibes of being both a trainer and coordinator in her youth like the player character can do!!! I need to know more about her. Dahlia too, I desperately wish there was MORE about her, y'know? Like these characters are so intriguing to me but literally all we have about them can be fit in like.... 1 paragraph worth of information. Salutes

Abelard is used to the Rogue Trader’s… eccentricities. It isn't heretical to simply enjoy tighter spaces… but it certainly is odd that the man is often curled up–fingers silently flipping through some tome or another–high up in a crevice of the ship’s walls where he could, potentially, listen in to the goings on of his retinue.
Abelard has learned to scan the upper lines of the ship’s walls when searching for the Rogue Trader, but has also taken to doing so idlely, just to see if the oddly dexterous operator has found somewhere new to inhabit.
He doesn't do this to hide, he is easily spotted if one knows where to look. Most don't bother looking up.
Odd indeed. But right now, it is some measure of very, very humorous.
Garion von Valancius is lounged in the intricate mechanics of the ship like some feline beast on some jungle tree branch watching and listening to the ongoing bickering between Marazhai and Argenta. Abelard has taken to standing aside, noticing that Argenta–having been around the Lord Captain as long as he has–has also spotted him, throwing glances upward at the man every few seconds to glare at him for finding amusement in this. Marazhai, on the other hand, has just made a scathing comment about the Lord Captain, using that insulting word to refer to the Rogue Trader.
“I believe I instructed you not to call me mon’keigh, Aezyrraesh.”
The drukhari jolted with all the grace of shattering glass, whipping around to look for where the voice came from. Argenta just laughed, and Abelard quietly chuckled into his hand.
“Up here.”
The dark eldar finally looked up, his face suddenly flush with fury and embarrassment, at a loss for words for a moment. Garion smirked down at him, the stretch of his cheeks distorting the warp-burn scar on the side of his face, patiently waiting the stunned xenos’ expression out. Finally, something came out of that fanged mouth, “What are you doing up there?”
“You haven't apologized–” Garion’s head tilts to the side, “–for your blatant disregard for my orders.”
Marazhai flinched, his eyes looking hard to one side, reminding Abelard of a spurned canine. He bowed his head ever so slightly, “My… apologies, Lord Captain…”
The Rogue Trader laughs openly, the metal claws of his replaced arm tapping along the metal he reclines on. “How obedient... You should behave even when you think I'm not around. Farris learned that lesson decades ago.” Abelard would swear an almost… hungry look crossed the drukhari’s face, but he promptly ignores it.
Garion clicks his tongue, the taunting grin falling away from his face, “However, as I've told the rest of my retinue; I am from a Forge World, I am far more comfortable in the recesses of machinery and cable than the open spaces. Out there,” he motions to the hallway, “I am exposed from many angles. Here, I am exposed from only one. Much of my idle time is spent in places like this.”
The drukhari considers that, head tilting to one side, “How interesting. Yet you're cornered there, not exposed and yet trapped. And what of your large open throne and Cathedral?”
“I despise the openness of both, but they are expected of me.” The smirk does not drop from the Rogue Trader's face, “Do you really think I am trapped, Aezyrraesh? Do you plan to attack me? With a sister of battle and my loyal Seneschal behind you?”
“No, but–”
“I am not trapped.” The interruption comes with a tone of finality, “And even were they gone and you with every intent to kill or torture me…” Fabric shifts, and the man draws a long blade previously sheathed in his sleeve, “You would swiftly find that I carry as many weapons as you have spikes in your armor.” The blade is hidden again, “Are you satisfied?”
A snicker and a sneer, “Never.”
Argenta makes a disgusted noise and the argument starts anew. Garion and Abelard share a glance, a simple look that simply said ‘don't let them kill one another’ before the Rogue Trader rolled from his side onto his back in the small space and drawing his datapad back up.
Abelard walks over, leaning against the wall below his Lord Captain, “Should I stop their bickering?”
“They can handle themselves against one another. Just make sure they don't stain my carpets or waste their lives on one another if they draw their weapons.” A small ‘beep’ from the datapad as the man has fully tuned out the argument once again, “Ones with passion such as theirs should have the opportunity to deal it out with one another. The battlefield will be more tolerable if they settle themselves now.”
Abelard tilts his head back. He forgets, often, that this is not, in fact, the Lord Captain's first time commanding such a large group, he still seems so young, and yet he handles the rabble with astonishing grace. He had once been a Crime Lord, had a council beneath him of valuable assets as likely to stab him in the back as they are to be doggedly loyal. He supposes someone like Marazhai may even be more familiar to him than someone like himself.
“Will you openly spar with him as you have the rest of us?”
This seems to make the trader pause. Abelard can only guess what is on his mind in the silence that draws out after it–from Garion, anyway. Did a drukhari, of all xenos, deserve the tradition of the von Valancius flagship? Much less the same one that had antagonized them for so long? At least, that is the line of thought he assumes.
“...Yes. I simply have to finish recovering from Commorragh.” The barely-audible murmur was followed by another small beep. A quiet admission that his oldest wounds still scream at him from being back in the blackened city.
A nod, “I will have the observation deck prepared as soon as you are ready.”
The two warriors huff at one another and part ways, finally. Marazhai shoots a curious look towards the Lord Captain before making his way down the hall.

i was prowling through Isabella's tag cos oml i love her (warhammer ocs my beloved <33) and i was wondering what's her relationship like with the rest of the companions from the game? i'd like to hear the dramas between her team if there is any lmao
omg, thank you so much!
Such a great question! I have to confess I was so lazer-focused on Heinrix explaining Iza’s mechanical traits to make sense narrative-wise, I paid little attention to the rest of the team, but I do have some bits!
I have to note, that companions from the 3rd chapter stayed in the 3rd chapter, so Iza didn’t collect all the pokemon. She maintains a good and respectful relationship with all the bridge officers, but her best man is High Factotum Janris Danrok, they spend hours discussing trade partners, contracts, and ship logistics.
But, back to the main team!
________________________
“Abelard gave me a space to grow, even though it was Theodora-shaped.”
Abelard, my Abelard! They had some rough moments in the beginning when Iza felt like he tried to make her into Theodora's substitute and argued with him to insist on her position's duty and privilege. At the same time, she was checking his reactions to her actions and was relieved every time Abelard approved her.
I think I already cracked this joke, but who’s gonna stop me? Abelard was in her team all the time along with Heinrix, and this is the most accurate picture of how the three of them looked:
Tumblr media
Ofc she did everything for Abelard’s family, and when he asked for retirement, she let him go on condition, that he would train his replacement personally because who could do it better then the best seneschal ever?

"Sanctioned or not, Idira is one of us. She proved her will and deserved the right to walk her path the way she wants. End of discussion."
Idira was… intriguing. Too different from Iza in a matter of personality and life experience to seek her close friendship, Idira gained her eternal respect for surviving for so long for having the will strong enough to keep the chaotic mind of her in line. Well, most of the time.
And when her breakdown happened, Isabella stood for her. Said, everybody can slip and everybody deserves a second chance. Time proved her right when both of the sanctioned psykers of her team had their own moments of losing control, hehe.
Anyway, never a close friend but a friend indeed, and one of few people who understand, Idira had a place in Iza’s team to the very end of her life.
________________________
"Sister Argenta reminds me of His wrath... and of His grace as well."
Argenta, with all the respect, makes Isabella feel uneasy. Reminds her that even though Isabella’s faith is strong, this alone might not be enough. (Ye, Iza sits on Iconoclast and Dogmatic chairs at the same time; she’s not too religious but she is a believer, which I think is close to heresy by WH40k standards anyway)
But gladly Argenta often stands up for protecting innocent people, and Isabella takes a breath of relief.
i haven’t decided how to play through chapter 3 confession and its consequences yet, so sis is under development xD
________________________
"Lady Cassia... is hard to be around. I can only hope that the little time I can spend with her is enough to fulfill the Lord Captain's obligations to her Navigator."
Oh, oh, oh! Cassia is Isabella’s walking nightmare. Imagine yourself keeping your mental blocks 24/7 so as not to hear the noise of people's thoughts, and then meeting Cassia who casually floods you with her emotions. Isabella lost her shit during their first meeting.
Iza feels for Cassia, she really does, but she can not tolerate her presence for a long time. She tries her best for her navigator to feel welcomed onboard (look, you need to keep your Navi happy, all right), but mostly uses servants and Abelar as proxy people to communicate with Cass.
Why didn’t Iza change a navigator is a good question. I haven't found the answer yet.
________________________
“I… That planet two systems ago when we got ambushed, I had to connect to Pasqal’s mind for faster coordination. I don’t want to comprehend what I saw.”
Pasqal is complicated to understand, like most of admechs. Iza tries her best to know them better, but so far her best connection is Abel. She spends a lot of time talking with him.
But mostly she just agrees on all the Pasqal requests of equipment and lets him collect and study whatever he wants (N. included)
________________________
“Jae still can be useful.”
Everyone deserves a second chance in Iza’s book, but Jae used them all. The weight of her lies hit the critical mass at one point (remember, Janris Danrok is Iza’s bridge bestie).
Isabella didn’t take away Jae’s papers (they didn’t fly half of the expanse looking for seals just not to take benefits of those papers) and didn’t end their partnership at all, but Jae was sent out of the flagship to do her business from some other spot.
With a warning, that if she abuses von Valancius name for some really dirty business, the consequences will be… final. Jae was smart enough to see the line this time.
________________________
“We are not talking about Yrliet again, Heinrix.”
IN THIS HOUSE WE DON’T TALK ABOUT YRLIET SHE JUST LIVES ON OUR SHIP AS AN AMULET OF LUCK
I’m a bit pissed that the game doesn't help me with giving reasons to keep Yra after the 3rd chapter, so I don’t know why Isabella let her stay except for her “second chance” rhetoric. I’m figuring this out.
I mean in the 3rd chapter it was pretty much “we need everyone to survive” thinking, but later… idk yet, maybe something something cooperation is better than war. Something something I want to understand how aeldari thinks. Something something Yrliet’s voice is so cool! xDD
But I know that Iza and Yra were traveling together a long time after the end of the game.
The peak of character drama happens in the Dark City when Heinrix Abelard Yrliet and Argenta sit in a circle and each of them holds their neighbors' hands to prevent them from killing the opposite sitting person, Pasqal trying to comprehend xenotech and Iza suffering in the background because someone stolen her fav boots.
THANK YOU AGAIN FOR ASKING!!!

Did you maybe get a chance to develop an idea for your Rogue Trader? What are they like? And, perhaps most importantly, how do they get along with the members of their retinue? 😊
I am so glad you enjoy the game, hope you have a great day!! 💜
Thank you for enabling me! 💜
god this game is giving me hella brainworms, so apologies in advance for how long this got!
His name is Mago Vanth, though he goes exclusively by his surname and has for a while now. It's a bit awkward with his fancy new surname tacked onto it (all those v's), but so is he, so.... XD
Crime lord background. Lawful neutral. Loyal to his people (crew/gang/etc) and nothing else. Ruthless when necessary. Fast talking. Pragmatic (until he's not). He has a talent for people and synthesizing information/perspectives. Good at tactics, bad at combat (he's gonna give Abelard a heart attack one of these fights). Be gay do crimes.
He was born in a hive world slum. Orphaned at 9 after his mother got sucked into a chaos cult and tried to sacrifice him and his sibling. Started his life of crime young and by his late 20s he was running a successful gang. Unfortunately the leaders of the larger syndicate that his gang was part of ALSO got involved in some Chaos shit, and Vanth was arrested as part of the investigation/crackdown.
I went with Shadow of Torment from the 'Darkest Hour' section of character creation ("You were arrested and thoroughly interrogated using creative and violent methods."), so.... yeah. He claims he lost his eye in a fight, but in reality it was a result of the interrogation.
He (barely) survives and manages to escape, but by that point he is a complete wreck and everyone he knows/cares about is dead, arrested or wants *him* dead for betraying them. So he runs, as far towards the outer rim (or whatever the in-universe equivalent is) as the money in his bailout stash will get him and begins the process of trying to piece himself and his life back together.
8? 10? years later, he's clawed his way up to being the leader of a successful smuggling syndicate (not huge, but a respectable size) when he gets press-ganged into the Von Valencias dynasty.
He's spent his whole life living/working outside of (and often in conflict with) the establishment. And now he IS the establishment and it's killing him. More than that, though, it's the title that he's really struggling with. Heinrix has that line at the beginning of Act 2, something about if you land on Footfall incognito it will be your last chance to be treated like a person -- and like, he means it in a subterfuge/reconnaissance way, not a existential way, but it's still very much true in an existential way. Vanth isn't a person anymore, he's a title, and it's terrifyingly isolating and lonely and he has no idea how to navigate it.
The only thing that is keeping him from drowning completely is a) he is very good at people, and b) he has never known stability in his entire life and is a firm believer in "no plan survives contact with the enemy" so he is very adept at improvising/adapting on the spot. But the amount of focus and energy this requires isn't really sustainable, and it's only a matter of time before he burns himself out.
***
Re: companions -- I just got to Footfall, so I've only got their Act 1 introductions so far (and haven't met the later companions yet). But in terms of very early impressions:
Abelard: Space Dad. They butt heads a fair bit, but his experience and advice is invaluable, and he's the one person Vanth can sorta lean on for support (professionally if not emotionally -- yet). He also seems unafraid to tell Vanth bluntly to his face when he thinks he's being an idiot, which is an indispensable quality even if Vanth doesn't always agree with his position.
Idira: Sibling energy. Someone else who found a way to exist outside of the system. The only person he can have a normal (to him) conversation with. Basically his reaction to Idira was "oh thank fuck someone sane".
Argenta: nails-on-a-blackboard levels of uncomfortable. She swings wildly between compassion, contempt and fanaticism and he cannot get a bead on her. He respects her skill in combat, but he does not trust her at all, AND she picks on Idira, so she's on thin fucking ice.
Cassia: He is trying to remember that she's still a kid (technically an adult, I assume, but he's in his mid to late thirties, so to him she's a kid). And she's a kid who has been intensely isolated, indoctrinated and infantilized her entire life and who has not, until like a week ago EVER come in contact with any information that challenges her perception of reality/worldview. He is also trying to remember that when someone is actually willing to talk to her about that conflicting information, she seems willing to sit with the discomfort and objectively consider it, and in some cases change her view/behavior in response (which is more than can be said for some of the other party members). He is trying to remember that and not have a kneejerk reaction every time she opens her mouth about commoners, but goddamn it's a struggle. Not helped by the fact that even if he succeeds, she can still tell he's angry because she's an empath. He's working on it. He likes her, he's just so fucking tired.
Pasqal: TBD. He doesn't quite know what to make of him yet. (i feel like Pasqual had a much higher ratio of exposition to personal dialogue than the other companions in Act 1 -- which entirely fits the character, but doesn't give me a lot to work with XD)
Heinrix: IT'S COMPLICATED. They got off on the wrong foot for starters, walking in on him interrogating an enemy. Instant trauma flashbacks for Vanth, and then Heinrix immediately escalated the tension by threatening Idira. As first impressions go, could not have been worse. Luckily there was still a station full of cultists trying to kill them and combat is a hell of an icebreaker. He's still a walking trigger and the way he asks questions sets Vanth's teeth on edge, but things are more or less civil between them for now. Vanth values his pragmatism, and he's been kind to Cassia and he helped Evayne (and even Idira in that last combat). And every so often there is a hint of a person underneath all the dogma and red-tape officiousness, which makes Vanth curious despite himself.

BFDG 06 Scary Things
[Ao3] [ffnet] Full chapter in the links
He smelled the difference in the air, cracking an eye open to glance around. Only to almost sit up in the semi quiet room as the gravity shifted. The Slayer just managed not to but his eyes were open and he was looking around. Catching the reflections of the humans in the equipment around his sarcophagus.
The air was being more noticeably scrubbed in a closed system now. He could have sworn he heard something shift in that big door too. The Slayer took a good look at the room, the lid of the sarcophagus was partially above him, being held by machinery and away from the equipment in case it fell, but seemed pretty solid if left alone.
Glowing green eyes took in the laser drills that had been slowly working through his bonds. That drone was settled on the floor and seemingly dormant. Giving it a critical examination since the two humans with him were still in a sleepy calm state of waiting. He heard the little one mentioning an air breach code for outside, but with how calm the two humans were about it. It had seemed like they were used to this risk. Though they found emergency masks and small tanks nearby, they had that curtain type of calm of one who was used to and knew how to handle that same risk.
Margery had even encouraged the smaller one to nap and get some rest. Playfully agreeing to start reading aloud until Cassidy fell asleep in the uncomfortable back office. She only recently stopped reading aloud and settled into a content silence.
As much as he would like to know more about this Duke Morgan and the cook in the book he was now listening intently to. Stretching out his senses as something… Ran by on the other side of the reinforced wall to his right. The last sigel pulsed and tugged on his mind, but it was only one now and now that he was aware and paying attention…
The Slayer could sense something growing near. Something he could almost remember, the name to match the feeling was not coming out of the fog that clung to his mind. He remembered enough to know it was bad and debated on sitting up to start breaking the last bonds. Just four total left around his ankles and wrists. He glanced at the reflection of what was behind, then took a better look to see the still peaceful expression on the older of the two humans, Margery was smiling as she read on her data pad.
The other girl… birdie? She was laying down on the ground with a thin cushion from somewhere out of his line of sight. She was so scared of him, and he had yet to really move properly around her.
He would really scare her, likely scare both humans really, to sit up unexpectedly. The old being looked down, still trying not to make any sound to draw attention as he experimentally flexed his core muscle for the first time, his middle completely lost that slight soft look in the middle to show the abdominal muscles under. Not so slowly re-testing his body, flexing his muscles up through and in his chest, shoulders, down the arms until his hands closed into fists. Head tilted to watch, keeping half an eye on the reflections to show if the humans were paying attention. Thankfully not, Margery was still absorbed in her book and the little sleepy squeaks coming from the girl were… very cute, but also showed she was sleeping.
The Slayer looked down, watching his left hand give a tremble as his body fought the last two sigels. Then slowly, deliberately opened his hand as his palm openly bled through the last bandage his new humans had put there. He could see the pattern of the Sigel in his left palm, feeling it burning as the fog in his head pushed and flowed against his awareness. A last ditch effort of that seal to try and drown him in the confusion and nightmares.
He could smell the spilled blood, not of his but…but… Argenta blood. Not human blood, it was an illusion. The scent of his blood filled the air before something finally broke against his will. The Sigel burned and if his palm was exposed to open air, it might have sizzled. Only one left and he could freely flex both his hands as his palm started to heal properly.
He looked towards the metal that showed the reflection of the humans. Still thankfully distracted, but he was also moving slowly enough to not make any sound with the chains. The Slayer sat back in his sarcophagus for a few moments. Then started to test the muscles in his legs like he had for his upper body.
The Slayer could bend his right knee to the side, careful not to rattle the chain. The left leg was not fully responding just yet but the last Sigel was on that heel and trying to fight him.
There was no outside scents from this space, but his mind cleared a little bit more to recognize there was a danger near. Something that…. something he could almost name as the Demigod looked around. Checked that the two humans were not focused on him-
Margery had her head up, staring above them just before he heard the scittering above. The Slayer almost sat up again but made himself lay back, watching the ceiling too. Tracking the sound as a second sound came from the vault door, like scratching. Not claws, it was like bones scraping on the metal to him.

This was just gonna be the line-up at the bottom but then it kinda became a sketch dump lmao... as you can tell I am furiously rotating this mf and the threads he's involved in like a rotisserie chicken in the microwave
Explanation/Y'shua Lore Dump™ under the read-more
I - Pre-Doom 1. Basically, he used to be part of the US military (or whatever it would exist as circa 2113) until he was discharged for violently assaulting his superior officer. To be fair, he was being told to shoot innocent civilians. So he gets dumped onto some UAC base on Mars as a security officer.
II - Mid-Doom 1. Demons invade the UAC base because of teleportation tech, which opens up a gateway to Hell. Y'shua actually fucking dies (the huge scar on his throat is from it being ripped out, he has a larger and similar scar from where he was also simultaneously disemboweled), but more or less wills himself back to life through the power of being Too Fucking Angry to Die. (This also gives him the side effect of technically now being a zombie, and he can no longer age biologically.)
III - Post-Doom 2. Y'shua returned to Earth only to find it under siege by demons. Naturally, the first thing he does is rush home to his home-town to ensure that his family's safe - only to find them brutally slaughtered and half-eaten. He fucking snaps, and dives back into Hell, where he proceeds to kill the Icon of Sin after a long and grueling journey into its depths. When he returns to Earth, however, he's too late; the invasion is thwarted, but the human race is extinct. Blaming himself, he banishes himself back into Hell in what was intended to basically be an act of suicide.
IV - ??? years after Doom 2. Because time flows strangely in Hell, Y'shua himself feels like he's spent only about a decade in the underworld, when in reality it's over two hundred years. He spends this time doing absolutely nothing but killing demons - and he gets really, really, really fucking good at it. Although he basically more or less loses his sense of humanity due to the aforementioned grief of the deaths of his family/his entire species, and the experience of trying to survive in Hell.
V - Night Sentinel era. After Y'shua gets discovered by the Argenta, this basically marks the start of the series of events that would lead to the events of Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal.
VI - Post-2016/Eternal. Basically his current and "canon" appearance in most rp threads. There's actually supposed to be an in-between state for pre-2016/post-Night Sentinels but I didn't feel like drawing it.

There's trouble to building your luxurious battle resort at the foot of a volcano, especially an active one -- eventually, it goes off. While the board at first tried to wave away rumors of tremors and increased volcanic activity as just that, eventually a report from the Pan-Japanese Survey Initiative put paid to doubt. The ever-huffy Mt. Stark, so long threatening, was about to blow, and forget losing the Battle Frontier, Veilstone and the local League -- Hell, everything east of the Coronet range was in risk of being wiped out.
Naturally, this was bigger than the Battle Frontier. Complete suppression of the eruption was considered impossible, and after developing a task force between Frontier Brains and Sinnohian Gym Leaders, a plan of mitigation was set into motion. Suppression was impossible, and would only lead to bigger issues down the line even if successful. That sucker had to blow; it was just a question of how hard.
Pokemon with resistance to super-hot temperatures were used to dig pressure-relieving tunnels, just short of magma's pyroclastic flow, with the aim of leaving behind a thin layer for Stark to penetrate and create tributaries. Forcing the mountain to erupt with a whimper, not a boom. This would grant some precious time before step two, which involved a mass appeal for trainers to temporarily transfer their Heatran to the task force, given that the local population had migrated to parts unknown. Other Pokemon such as Camerupt and Moltres were requested as well, but the conspiracy mills were well on their way.
Heatran Migration Planned By Sinnoh Elite! Just another rumor to add to the unhinged icebergs of the world, to set in the mid tier above "research by the disgraced Galactic Initiative created the modern Rotom Phone" but below "the Frontier is a front for organized gambling."
Though the preliminary efforts were promising, they were by no means a guarantee. In time, the ancient elemental Regi-golem Pokemon were gathered to Snowpoint Temple, where Regi-gigas could be called upon. Its invoked aspect, subdued in battle by the Sinnoh Champion, was brought to Mt. Stark. This joint herculean effort ultimately paid off -- the mountain erupted in a calm and safe manner.
The Battle Frontier was ruined, of course, buried under lava, but everything essential had been disassembled and taken away. Mt. Stark has since rejoined the Sinnoh mainland through subduction, though its adjoining basalt land is currently classified as a disaster zone and is off limits without government permission. Its lava flow continues at a gentle bubble to this day.
With the threat mediated, the Frontier's board returned to what was most important: makin' money. Needed to rebuild the Frontier before people lost interest and their talent got poached away -- and to avoid the risks of regional phenomena inhibiting service again. Deals were struck: one with the Aether Foundation for co-use of their proprietary artificial island technology, and with Stern Shipyard Co to make the new Frontier truly without borders. With what could be salvaged from the Mt. Stark location, construction of the mobile island VLFS Frontier took just under two years. The new Battle Frontier was not only a resort, but a mobile mini-city drifting through the oceans of the world.
During the down time, the capricious noble Caitlin's interest waned, and no longer satisfied with second-hand battling, she was poached by the Unovan Elite Four. The space set aside for the Battle Castle was instead earmarked for the Battle Pike, where the experienced leader from Hoenn, Lucy, took their place as Pike Master. Though some critics considered their Pike too similar to Dahlia's Arcade, Frontier aficionados delight in the difference sin feel and atmosphere between them. Negotiations to additionally poach the Battle Pyramid's head fell through when it came to light that said Pyramid would have to be at least partially underwater. Hall Matron Argenta has privately announced her intention to retire, though not before properly preparing a successor. Among the suggestions considered include a facility run by former Gym Leaders Candace and Maylene themed around survival in extreme conditions, but nothing has been set in stone.
Additionally, during the restructuring, the GDPR came into effect -- a set of privacy laws that restructured the way corporations could collect data. This profoundly cramped Factory Head Thorton's style, as it made the Pokemon scanning devices he used illegal. He would condemn and generally make himself the main character online for some time until he was asked to resign. As a result, one of the administrators of the Factory, an accountant who had been understudying for Thorton for several months when he was too 'busy' to serve as Head, took on the position. Her changes include eliminating single battles entirely, changing the focus to adaptability and synergy between random Pokemon.
As such, this leaves the Battle Frontier with five brains -- Tower Tycoon Palmer, Arcade Star Dahlia, Hall Matron Argenta (pending retirement), Pike Master Lucy, and Factory Chief Cross.
Currently, the island “ports” a few miles outside major regional clusters, offering free transportation to accredited local trainers. A completely self sufficient environment, the Frontier is carbon neutral and releases no waste into local host environments thanks to an in-depth recycling system and a tireless sanitation innovation team. Despite the “international waters” that it travels, the Frontier follows all local laws and will liaise with Interpol for extradition if necessary.
Tangentially: The Battle Frontier bans region-specific phenomena as a matter of course, regardless of their feasibility on the premises. Whether it be mega-evolution, Z-Crystals, sync-stones, Terastallization, or Dynamax, such phenomena either simply won't work in the Frontier facilities or will result in an immediate disqualification. (Trainers possessing an exceptional battle-bond with their partners are allowed, reluctantly.) The idea is to create an environment where the pinnacle of battling can be achieved -- but specifically the pinnacle of battle anywhere in the world, with no losses due to "gotchas" or simply unknown knowledge. (Now, this doesn't always work due to the natural opportunity cost of regional Pokemon, but it is at least theoretically possible.)
This is also why some Pokemon are classified as 'restricted' -- those not intensely studied by recognized professors to Pokedex classification. Really, it comes down to two reasons -- the Frontier Brains need to know the basics of the Pokemon they're facing for exciting battles, and the Frontier needs to know the capabilities of those Pokemon should they go out of control.

🍒 (Did Argenta kiss anyone before Arueshale?) 🍩 Also for Argenta!
Thank you! 💚
🍒: Has Your OC had their first kiss yet? If so, with who?
Argenta did! Won't point the exact timeline, but definitely after she left home and fused with Silver Lining (as a child, she was too skittish and reclusive to form any meaningful relationship outside the family and spirit world. Moving around a lot also didn't help). She had short-living flings during her travels (which didn't mean to last long in the first place), and probably had her first-first kiss in one of those, and it was purely out of curiousity (especially from spirit's side).
But there was one relationship that looked more promising - with the heir of some well-doing merchant family. The guy was a starry-eyed fledgling with his head in the clouds, who liked to talk in typical romantic novels cliches, including the one where he promised that his parents' opinion on his "sweetheart" didn't matter, and that if they don't accept her, he will run away with her. And there were some romantic kisses.
In the end his parents, indeed, did not approve, and he deflated like a ballon, without much of a fight. When telling stories about this relationship, Argenta always says that she figured out he liked her like a fantasy from his books and not like a person well before their break up, so she didn't believe him anyway and wasn't really upset or anything, and, hey, it was nice while it lasted.
...
(She was upset.)
(By the way, about Arueshalae and Woljif - i think that, while Arue was the first to get a kiss on the lips, Woljif was the first to receive any kiss from Argenta - on the cheek. His slowburn was a bit slowburn-er).
🍩: What's a crime your OC is most likely to commit? What's a crime they're most likely to get arrested for?
Judging by her Persuation checks in WoTR, her most "likely" crime is extortion 😅
In seriousness, i think it's... marauding and bulglary? If by "bulglary" you mean "rimmaging through half-forgotten mansions where barely anyone lives and everything is rotting anyway". And she doesn't really see marauding as something very amoral, as long as you maraud from the dead (and undead).
(And isn't it something that almost all adventurers do, anyway?)
As for the second part... Ironically, despite her real crimes, Argenta (in her own opinion) will most likely be arrested for something she didn't even do - like drying all the blood from livestock, stealing babies (where would she even put them?), cursing someone to make them bed-ridden, making harvest go bad (even though, as a shaman, she can actually make it better? But (pre-azata) she also had the opposite of green thumb, so...). So she is quick to leave the area when such rumors has only began to appear.
And if we are talking abot Galfrey already named all Argenta's "crimes against the Crusade", and banished (well, not quite, but) her to the Abyss, so 😂

Dear Gus & Magnus,
Mom brought you two to Argenta Community Theatre today, where we shot our Garver Christmas video this year. Nene also joined because didn't know how restless y'all would get at an all-day shoot. There were lots of kids participating, which made the shoot really hard. And we had to cut a scene because we ran out of time. Gus stayed for most of the shoot because we gave him a line to say. By the late afternoon, he was spent, but I was really proud of him. I thought when we left he would say how much he didn't like being in the video because he could barely even stand up, but as soon as we got in the truck he said it was the most fun he'd ever had and he wanted to do another video. That's how they make me feel, too, so of course I was full of pride. He's racking up a decent reel for a six-year-old.
GUS'S ON-SCREEN APPEARANCES:
McClarty Honda Commercial (2018)
Garver Centennial Video (1:50 mark) (2018)
And now the Garver Christmas video (2023)
Dad.
North Little Rock, Arkansas. 12.4.2023 - 2.50pm.

The real important questions:
Is Intern a gamer™? If yes, what is Intern's favorite game?
Also are the Wraiths paying the bills for Flynn's gaming computer in the fortress? Also, his computer has clearly argenta technology, NIGHT SENTINELS GAMING CANON????
Tumblr media
He likes sandbox games, especially minecraft.
As for the wraiths,
Tumblr media
They ain't payin' for shit.
For real, though, I think the Argenta PC in the Fortress definitely could run basically any game you want without the slightest rise in temperature, but he tends to play more games on the old 90's PC that's there instead. He mostly plays old fps games anyway, but the bigger reason is that sometimes he gets a little... excited, and forgets how strong he is and how big his hands are, and accidentally smashes the keyboard or mouse, and those are a lot more easily replaceable than the super complex Argenta tech that's built into the desk. Meanwhile, the Fortress probably has a 3D printer on board or something, and he can just get VEGA's help to make a new keyboard for the old PC if he needs one.

Rogue Trader - Act 2 - Heinrix Footfall
At the beginning of act 2 Heinrix will shortly leave you on Footfall. You can get him back quite fast and easily - you only need to go to the Atrium and speak with the Liege and you will get a quest update that repairs on the ship are done and you are needed back.
Just head back to the docks where your shuttle is waiting and Heinrix will be waiting for you.
It is worth it to do this before running around for the other quests on Footfall because you will otherwise miss out on dialog for Heinrix.
For example:
1. Heinrix and Idirah (Argenta will add to the dialog too) if you talk to Hieronymus Doloroso about who the enemies of the Imperium are:
Tumblr media
2. The "Figaro/pirate funeral" quest - here Heinrix will comment at the start of the quest (if you select the "What is this place and what is going on here?" line)
Tumblr media
3. Heinrix on meeting Jae in the cantina (Martyr's Endurance) - this is even voiced
Tumblr media
Heinrix has additional dialog in the cantina - with Ryzz, (Fellowship of the void reputation contact), the one guest (Gordei Skatov, who speaks about Footfall architecture) and with Octaviana (the bartender)

4. If you talk to the Liege, there is a short conversation between him and Heinrix too:
