Soft Spot
masterlist ! pairing Feyd-Rautha x reader
SUMMARY : you're going to marry Feyd-Rautha, but you didn't know he has a soft spot for you
GENRE: fluff, loveeee
Tumblr media
The grand halls of the Harkonnen fortress echoed with the clinking of armor and the whispers of political intrigue as you, unaware of Feyd-Rautha's hidden feelings, prepared for the arranged marriage. The alliance between your house and House Harkonnen was to be solidified through this union, a union that held more secrets than you could fathom.
As you adorned yourself in the intricate wedding attire, your mind buzzed with the weight of responsibility. The marriage was a strategic move, a chess piece in the game of power. Little did you know, Feyd-Rautha harbored a soft spot for you that went beyond the calculated alliance.
As you walked down the aisle towards the ceremonial chamber, Feyd-Rautha stood at the altar, a stoic figure in his Harkonnen regalia. His piercing blue eyes, however, betrayed a subtle warmth when they met yours.
The ceremony commenced, the officiant reciting the traditional vows that bound you to Feyd-Rautha. Yet, amidst the formality, a flicker of genuine emotion appeared in Feyd-Rautha's eyes as he spoke, "I pledge my loyalty to this union, and to you, Y/N, my chosen partner in this intricate dance of politics and power."
His words carried a sincerity that resonated within you, and a realization started to dawn. Perhaps there was more to this marriage than just political maneuvering. The enigmatic Feyd-Rautha seemed to be unveiling a side of himself that few had witnessed.
As the ceremony continued, you exchanged vows, committing to the union with a sense of duty. Unbeknownst to you, Feyd-Rautha's words held a depth that transcended the political façade. "I promise to stand by you, Y/N, not just as a husband but as someone who sees beyond the political tapestry. You are more than a strategic alliance; you are the missing piece in my life."
The celebration that followed was lavish, a feast befitting the union of two powerful houses. Amidst the revelry, Feyd-Rautha found a moment to steal you away to a quieter chamber. The tension in the air was palpable as he looked into your eyes, his usually composed demeanor revealing vulnerability.
"Y/N," he began, his voice softer than usual, "there's something I need you to know. This marriage, yes, it's a political move, but for me, it's more than that. I've developed a deep admiration for you, one that goes beyond the expectations of our houses."
You were taken aback by the sincerity in his confession. Feyd-Rautha, the formidable figure known for his ruthlessness, was baring his soul to you. "I never expected to find solace in this arrangement, but in you, I see more than just an alliance. I see a partner, someone I want to stand beside in the battles that lie ahead."
His vulnerability resonated with you, and a spark of understanding kindled. "Feyd-Rautha, I may have entered into this marriage out of duty, but your sincerity has not gone unnoticed. Perhaps there is a chance for us to find common ground beyond the political landscape."
The revelation marked a turning point in your relationship. The walls that had separated you from Feyd-Rautha started to crumble, revealing a shared vulnerability that formed the basis of a connection neither of you had anticipated.
As the night unfolded, you found yourselves navigating the intricacies of this newfound understanding. Feyd-Rautha, known for his calculated moves, was now making room for emotions he hadn't explored before. The marriage, initially a pact sealed by duty, started to evolve into something more complex, a tapestry woven with threads of unexpected emotions and genuine connection.
And so, in the grand halls of House Harkonnen, a marriage born out of political strategy took an unforeseen turn, guided by the unspoken soft spot that Feyd-Rautha harbored for you. The game of power, it seemed, had made room for the unpredictable dance of the heart.

mother's day
summary: celebrating your first mother's day with austin and your baby.
requested by anonymous. s/n: "son's name"
becoming a mom changed the course of your life in more ways than you could have never imagined. your baby boy was the most beautiful baby in the world, and every time you looked at him, you saw the love of your life in his face. austin’s genes were much stronger than yours, and your baby was his spitting image. he had the same blue eyes, and the same curly blonde hair, but you loved it. you were beyond grateful to have them in your life. you and austin quickly fell into routine after your baby was born, and everything was perfect.
your first mother’s day was coming up, and you told austin that all you wanted was lazy day at home with your boys. of course austin, being the loving husband he was, was more than happy to oblige. you woke up late that morning, at almost 11AM. you reached out for austin, but found the bed empty next to you. you got out of bed and heard the television sounding from the living room. you walked out to the living room and found austin asleep on he couch, and your baby sleeping on his chest. you heard swelled at the sight, and you quietly moved over to the couch.
“austin.” you whispered, gently sitting on the couch next to him.
“hey. good morning baby.” he said, sleep heavy in his voice.
“what are you doing out here?” you asked, running your fingers through his hair.
“i wanted to let you sleep in and have the bed to yourself. it’s your day, and i just wanted you to be comfortable.” he said, sitting up slowly as to not wake the baby.
“have you been out here long?” you asked him.
“probably just a couple of hours. s/n woke up around nine, i changed him, fed him breakfast, and we’ve been out here since. he’s only been asleep about thirty minutes.”
“what about you? have you eaten breakfast?” you asked him, and he shook his head. “alright, well i’ll get something together for us.”
“nope!” austin said, suddenly fully awake. “you take him, and i’ll take care of breakfast. today is your day, and i will be taking care of you.” he said, gently passing you the baby and moving towards the kitchen.
the rest of the day, austin was at your beck and call, getting you anything you could have possibly needed or wanted. truthfully, it felt like he was doing too much for you, but he made sure you knew that he didn’t mind.
you and austin sat on the couch eating breakfast together, watching whatever sitcom he had playing on the tv. you weren’t paying much attention to it, the both of you slowly starting to fall back asleep. the three of you napped on and off on the couch all day. every time your son would wake up or squawk, austin would immediately jump into action, taking care of him so you could stay asleep.
later that night, as the night was ending and you were getting ready for bed. austin put the baby down for bed, and you were taking a bath. austin had bought you a number of different additives as a push present, an idea to help you pamper yourself after your long pregnancy journey. you were using the last of your bath bombs, and had candles lit around the rim of the tub. you were starting to fall asleep, when you heard austin walk into the bathroom.
“i love that he’s so easy to put to sleep.” austin chuckled as he sat down at the side of the tub.
“he gets that from me,” you laughed. “i literally fall asleep anywhere.”
“so, i know you said you didn’t want anything, but i got you a gift anyway. but i’ll let you finish your bath before i give it to you.” he said, pressing a kiss to your forehead before walking back out into the bedroom.
once you finished your bath, you dressed in your pajamas, and met austin back in the bedroom. he was laying in bed, and a small jewelry box was sitting on your pillow. you climbed into bed, and austin turned his attention to you.
“i had an idea for this while we were in the hospital after s/n was born. i remember sitting there and watching you hold him and thinking about how we were fully a family. i wanted to get you something that symbolized that, and have been working with a personal jeweler to get it perfect.
“a personal jeweler?” you asked raising a brow at him.
“one of the best ones i could find. i hope you like it.” he said, flipping the box open. inside sat a silver necklace of an infinity symbol, three gem stones in a line down the middle where it crossed - austin’s, yours, and your son’s birthstone.
“oh my god! this is beautiful!” you said through tears. you leaned over and pressed a soft kiss to austin’s lips before marveling at the necklace in your hands again. he pulled you into his arms and hugged you tight.
“i know the stones are kinda small, but i did that for a reason. i know it’s very early for us to be thinking about this, but if and when we have more kids, there’s enough room for more stones to be added.” he said, squeezing your shoulder.
“i love that.” you said, smiling at him. he pressed another kiss to your lips before taking the necklace from you and clasping it around your neck.
“i’m glad you like it.” austin said as you turned to face him.
“i love it.” you emphasized. “thank you honey.” you said, kissing him again.
the two of you finally laid down for bed, falling asleep in each other’s arms. your first mother’s day was perfect, and exactly what you wanted; a wonderful lazy day with your boys.

You made me believe in right person wrong time
austin butler x reader
warnings: talk of break up uhm depression and talk of cheating maybe some swearing
Authors note; I worked crazy on this but it still kinda sucks my apologies
Tumblr media
You were on a night out when you saw him and there was sweet music playing in the dark. Your friend saw how distracted you looked, as she stopped swaying her hips to the music, ¨you okay y/n?¨ she asked, which just made you nod your head a bit ¨yeah…yeah i´m fine¨. You said and grabbed your jacket then said your goodbyes.
You and Austin had broken up two years ago because… well it just didn't work out at the time and if you were honest you didn't expect you'd ever see him again. And maybe that was why you wanted to get the hell out of here. You didn't wanna face that confrontation because there is no such thing as right person wrong time is there?
You shook your head as you made your way outside until someone bumped into you. You looked up at the tall figure as you stared back into those familiar blue eyes. And you swear right then and there as he breathed your name out.
You could already feel yourself falling back in love with him just like you did all those years ago.
¨y/n?” he breathed his eyes and face lighting up. You smiled and nodded your head softly ¨hai austin¨ you spoke softly. As if the two of you never fell out of love, you and Austin met during the Cannes film festival .
the two of you clicked immediately and he asked you out not much longer after, the two of you made it official after like a month of dating. For some it may be fast but for you it was true love.
He really cared about you, some almost say he even loved you but he was never one to break old habits. Then he cheated on you and it absolutely destroyed you.. It took you two years to be you again and every girl he dated after you well,,, she was almost you..
¨how… How have you been?¨ he asked. You smiled and chuckled ¨i´ve been doing good what about you?¨ you asked politely. That's what he liked most about you were always so polite. There was no darkness in your heart whatsoever Only kindness.
¨i've been doing well…¨ he chuckled and smiled god that smile. ¨you uhm you´ve got some color back¨ he chuckled and you laughed. You laughed like you and she… almost laughed like you.. It wouldn't do. He wanted you, he needed you god if only he realized that sooner and he wasn't so stupid.
Some nights he got along without you very well and some other nights, he'd play your song over and over again.
He wouldn't know where to start but he did know he can't ruin this because this may be his only chance to make things right. What austin didnt know was the deep deep deep depression you fell into.
But that's all in the past now isn´t it? And little did Austin know that you were more than willing to give him another chance and start over again.
Austin looked over at his date who was clearly looking for him, you looked over and sighed softly ¨right you should probably get back to her.. I was about to leave anyway.¨ you spoke softly with a hint of sadness to it,
Austin nodded “bye y/n…” he whispered and you said your goodbye as well and left.
Meanwhile everything in Austin his body was yelling at him for how stupid he was being that was his chance! But… no way you would take him back not after what he did to you and he’d just have to accept that
As you got home you sighed softly and sat on your couch after getting changed into something more comfortable as your eyes welled up with tears, see you never believed in right person wrong time.
Because… if that person was so right for you.. why would the timing be wrong if you belong together? Honesty you could dwell on it for hours and you do.
Meanwhile in the bar where Austin still was with his date, and he wasn’t having a good time at all it was killing him really how could he be so so so stupid to let you go again honestly what was wrong with him?
After they left she invited him inside and he politely declined because she wasn’t you, don’t get him wrong he isn’t comparing you to her and visa versa but, there was something about you that would always lead him back,
when he didn’t have anything to think about he’d think about you and how badly he screwed that up. He just belonged to you and you to him.
Austin made his way to your house praying that you still had the same address and hadn’t moved in those two years, because how’d he find you then? Once he got there he rang the door bell with shaky hands.
You frowned slightly because who would be ringing your doorbell at this hour at night? You unlocked your door and there he stood those beautiful blue eyes, filled with tears and his hands in his pockets he looked like a little kid who just got scolded by one of his parents.
“A-Austin?” You whispered and looked at him rather confused because where is his date..? And that’s the next thing you ask “where’s your date..?” He chuckled because that was one thing he liked so much about you the way you wanted to make sure.
Others were safe and sound he admired that if he was honest sure he was a caring person but you just had so much love and kindness to. Offer the world.
“I brought her home don’t worry” he chuckled trying to hold back his tears as well as he could “listen I-im so sorry y/n, for the way I acted and the way I treated you a-and I hate myself for I-it I really do you didn’t deserve any of it,
I never was.. and I never will be. But I was wondering if you maybe consider giving me another ch-“ before he could finish what he was saying you grabbed his face and pulled him into a sweet kiss he stiffed for a moment.
Expecting anything but that as he grabbed your waist he finally returned the kiss after you pulled away from the kiss you smiled lovingly at him. Running a thumb over his cheek, “pick me up at 7 tomorrow?” You asked sweetly how could he say no to that.
“I’ll be here at 7 princess” he chuckled and kissed you once more, “thank you” he whispered once you pulled away again, you smiled at him and chuckled “you don’t have to thank me Austin. You made me believe in right person wrong time.”
Because that was the truth you were never a big believer of it but, Austin? Austin and you belonged together right back then the timing was just of. But now it was all okay again and the both of you have never felt better than to be back with their significant other.

grounding you | Austin Butler x reader
notes: wc is 686. your boyfriend, austin helps ground you after a major anxiety attack. tw for anxiety/panic episodes
Your heart pounded in your chest. Each beat felt like a wave crashing against your ribcage. You couldn't catch your breath and nothing was helping. You were somewhere around the world - far, far away from home and visiting your boyfriend. He was at work. He was busy doing important things and filming for an upcoming movie. Your hands shook as you tried to steady yourself, but you simply couldn't. You heard a knock at the door and couldn't even move your head to look up. You willed yourself not to pass out from the immense anxiety that you were experiencing for seemingly no reason.
"Hey - don't wanna scare you. Just forget my bag -".
He stopped in the doorway, his brow furrowing and a look of concern over his face. "Baby, are you okay?" he asked, although he knew you were anything but. He'd dealt with this all his life, he knew all about the anxiety attacks, the masking, the breakdowns. He knew about waking up with a pulse so fast that you thought you'd go into cardiac arrest. He knew about the ticks and triggers that others without anxiety couldn't quite fathom. You tried your best to breathe, but ultimately failed. He darted over to you on the bed and took a seat beside you. "Shh," Austin whispered, rubbing your back gently in a small concentric circles. "Baby, hey - listen to me, meet my eyes," he instructed, his raspy and deep voice commanding you to listen. He put a finger under your chin and moved your head so that your eyes would meet his. "Hey. You're here. I'm here," he reminded you. "Feel, feel the bed. Feel my hands," he said, holding his hands out in front of you. He took your hands in his large hands and rubbed circles against the back of your hands. "Smell, smell the daisies in the corner of the room." He glanced at the bouquet of daisies he had gotten for you the day before. "Hear, hear my voice. Hear my breathing," Austin reminded you, taking a deep breath. "See, see my chest rise and fall," he said, taking a few more deep breaths so you couldn't miss it. "Taste, taste the cherry lip gloss," he spoke, knowing you always had it on. You managed to lip your lips. Austin saw the subtle movement of your tongue and brought you in close to his chest, holding you protectively. You began to cry softly, so tired of all the mental health frustrations you'd been dealing with. You saw therapists, you'd taken the medicine and nothing seemed to give your mind a break from the constant nagging and worrying about things that turned out to be nothing. "Baby," he whispered, stroking your hair. "Come back to me. Come back down to earth. It's only us." You closed your eyes, trying to follow his voice. Austin took one of your hands and led it to his chest. You could feel the mostly steady thump of his heart against your hand and like clockwork it grounded you.
You took a sharp breath and opened your eyes, beginning to cough a little. Your lungs hadn't been able to have proper air in thirty minutes. It was one of the longest anxiety attacks you'd ever endured. "Austin," you whispered. "I - I'm so sorry that I'm like this," you began, your hands shaking uncontrollably over his chest. "Babe, baby, hey. Look at me," he said, his crystal blue eyes meeting yours again. "How many times have you had to help me like this? Countless. Countless, babe. Please don't worry about a thing, I understand completely," he assured you, placing his hand over yours. "I'm just glad I could be here when you needed me. I know I'm not always the most available." You shook your head slightly, beginning to regain your breath. "You're busy, but thank you for staying with me during this. I don't know what I'd do without you," you replied gently. "Of course, my love." He paused to run his fingers through your hair. "There isn't anywhere else I'd rather be than grounding you."

April 23rd, 2020
"You interested in working in film again?"
You raised an eyebrow at your best friend sitting opposite you on the couch, pausing short of tossing more popcorn into your mouth from the bowl between you.
"Is there a reason you're asking?"
She chuckled, lowering her voice and leaning over to you, a playful smile on her face.
"A little birdie told me that one of the lighting assistants at Elvis had to resign because of a family emergency and they’re desperate for a replacement.”
Leah was clearly getting a kick out of this, and you wanted to kick her for it. Knowing Elvis was filming in your area and that there was a non zero chance you'd run into Austin on the street was enough of a headache, let alone having to skirt around him on a daily basis.
"I can't work there, you know that." You said flatly, and Leah only shrugged, cocking her head.
"Do I? It's just tech work, not like you'll have to interact with Austin that much anyways."
"That," You started, nudging your head towards a framed photo of you and Cora on the coffee table. It was taken on her fourth birthday, the blue eyed little girl sitting on your knees, head of blonde hair tucked into your shoulder. "happened when I was just doing tech work. I can't Leah,"
It wasn’t that you’d take any of what happened that 2015 summer back, you were quick to tell anyone that your daughter was the best thing that ever happened to you. But some things, her father in particular, were better left in the past.
"How much are you making right now?" Leah asked, pulling out her phone as she talked. "Because this is what Elvis is paying."
Your eyes widened when you saw the salary listed on the email she’d pulled up, nearly triple what you were making at your current gig running lighting for a local news station.
"You go, you do your lighting thing, you come home. If you wear a hat and your bluelight glasses Austin doesn't even have to know you're there."
---
April 30th, 2020
Against your better judgment you inquired about the position, and Leah must’ve been right about how depeserate they were for a replacement because you got a call within a few hours asking for the earliest date you could start.
You followed Leah’s advice of trying to alter your appearance just enough to maybe pass as someone else to Austin, your hair tied up and pushed through a baseball cap, tan rimmed bluelight glasses that you typically saved for long hours on your laptop perched on your nose.
And the get up wasn’t even necessary. You’d spent your first day helping with lights for scenes with Tom Hanks in a conference room setup, overhearing that it was a dance rehearsal day for most everyone else. By the time the day was over ditched the glasses and cap, assuming you were safe from running into Austin at least for the time being as you put equipment away.
"Hey there.”
You could've screamed when you heard his voice from right behind you, flinching and dropping the cords you were wrapping.
Austin was apologizing as you turned around, and you swallowed as you got a good look at him. He looked drastically different than he did four summers ago, his hair short and black as opposed to the blonde waves that used to fall at his shoulders. His face hadn't changed much though.
The blue eyes that matched the photo of your daughter on your lockscreen made you want to bolt, but the window of opportunity for that quickly shut as he kept talking.
"I just," He started nervously, pushing a hand through his hair. "Y/N, right?"
"Yeah, that’s me." You said and forced a smile. Austin laughed.
"Okay good, this would be so weird if it wasn't you. It's been, what, four- five years? Wow,"
He gave you a one over and you hoped the flush you felt wasn’t showing up too obviously on your face.
"And look at you, Mr. Presley himself." You tried, leaning back against the table as Austin let out a breath. "I'm still wrapping my head around it all. But how you've been?"
"Not too bad,”
Your phone buzzing saved you from thinking of what else to say, except the voice of Cora's day care coordinator on the other end was the last thing you wanted to hear right now. Austin was still standing there when you hung up, something you hated because now you were close to tears and could think of about twenty ways this whole debacle could go from bad to worse.
"Everything okay?"
Austin’s voice cut through your panic, and exacerbated it.
"That was my daugher's daycare.”
The words tumbled out of you before you could stop them, heart hammering in your chest as you kept talking, snatching the cords you'd dropped off the floor and putting them back on the table in a frenzy. "She said something about stitches, St. Vincent’s Hospital. My car's in the shop, I need to get a Lyft,"
There wasn't one rational reason you were telling Austin any of this, just that you were a panic talker. You recognized somewhere in the haze of worry that you needed to stop talking before it bit you in the ass, though you recognized it a little too late.
"I'll drive you."
Those three words snapped you back to reality like a rubberband, and you shook your head as you brushed past Austin to walk away.
"You can't do that, you'll get recognized,"
You were already past him, but heard him rustling through his bag and before you could protest anymore there was quiet "No, come on," and he was wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses, a hand on your back as he ushered you in the direction of the parking lot.
---
The car was quiet as he started driving save for the heavy breathing you were barley managing to get under control. Austin pulled to a stop at a redlight, drumming his fingers on the steering wheel as he spoke lightly.
"So you have a daughter now?"
"Yeah who apparently cracked her chin open on the playground.”
You didn’t mean for it to come out so bluntly, mumbling an apology that he told you not to worry about. The rest of the drive was silent.
When he pulled up to the hospital you jumped out the second the car slowed enough for you to do so, spotting Cora’s daycare director in the lobby and making a beeline for her. Assuring you she'd only left Cora alone long enough to meet you, she took you down the hall to her room.
And you didn’t notice Austin had followed you in until you saw the other woman’s eyes widen when she brushed past you to leave.
"Hiya," He said, southern accent intact and you'd find it funny if you weren't all standing in the hospital for his daughter that he didn't know existed.
Leaving them both in the hallway, you rushed into the hospital room so fast you didn't bother to shut the door behind you. Cora was groggy from sedatives but reached out when she saw you, tear stains still on her cheeks.
“Mommy, ouchie,”
"I'm here baby.” You said as you scooped her up, kissing her head and pulling back to look at the line of stitches in her chin. "I'm sorry you got hurt,”
"Who's that?"
She interrupted you, pointing a finger towards the open doorway. Austin was still in the hallway, except the coolness he'd had with the daycare director was gone and replaced with a look that you’d spent the last four years terrified of. His pupils were enlarged, hand over the bottom of his mouth. He dropped it when he realized you were looking, but his expression didn't change.
"That's just a friend from work who drove me here," You said through the growing lump in your throat, unable to look back at him. "I'll be right back, okay?"
After setting her back on the hospital cot and covering her back up with the provided blanket you walked out of the room, remembering to close the door behind you this time.
“You don’t have to stay, I have to call someone to pick us up anyways because she needs a carseat,”
You tried to steer away from the inevitable, but Austin didn’t waste any time.
"Y/N, how old is she?"
His voice was tight and you couldn't bring yourself to look at him, staring at the floor like you could will it to open up and swallow you.
“Austin,” You managed to croak out, and the indignation you could feel radiating off of him made your eyes sting.
"You know not answering is an answer in itself, right?"
Forcing yourself to look up, you squeezed your eyes shut and back open, hoping it was enough to keep yourself from crying in front of him. "I can't do this here." You started. "I need- I need to get her home. If your number hasn't changed l'll call you when she's in bed,"
He nodded, giving you a terse “Alright then.” before turning to walk away. When he disappeared around the corner you let a few tears fall, wiping them away and feeling nauseous as you pushed open the door to go back to Cora.
---
Your head was still spinning by the time the doorbell rang at eight o’clock that night. And when you opened it to Austin you cleared your throat, bringing a hand to grasp the doorframe.
"If you're going to yell at me we need to take this outside, Cora's asleep." You said and his eyes widened a little.
"I'm not gonna yell at you."
Your back was to Austin after you let him in, but you could sense him looking around. There was evidence of your daughter everywhere, photos on the wall and toys you hadn't had the energy to pick up given recent events scattered around the floor. When you reached the kitchen and did turn to look at him he was popping his knuckles.
Taking the bar stool you pulled out for him, he sat as you walked to the other side of the counter.
"So she's gotta be four, right?" He started before you could say anything, eyes falling away from you and to a photo on the wall. "And she's-"
"She's yours."
You cut him off, biting the inside of your cheek. "If you want a paternity test we can do one, but that summer, there was no one else."
"Workin' on Elvis, were you just hoping we never ran into each other? I don't get it." He stated, gesturing aimlessly.
"The friend who sent me the application practically had to force my hand, I didn't want to. But the money, this is more than I'm making anywhere else, being able to send Cora to a good pre-school in the fall,"
You hated that your voice was shaking, along with your hands, where you’d clenched a fist without realizing it.
“I decided it was worth taking my chances."
"And when you found out you were pregnant- you didn't think to call?"
The truth was that you had thought to call, briefly. But a tabloid hard launch of Austin getting back together with his ex girlfriend came before you bring yourself to dial his number.
"When I found out I was pregnant you were back in the states and back with Vanessa. What was I supposed to do?" You said, and you would’ve been a lot louder if you didn’t have to worry about waking Cora up. "Hey I know you just left, but you need to leave your girlfriend and fly back across the globe because the techie you had a fling with is pregnant."
"I would've."
You shook your head, shooting back bluntly.
"You wouldn't have."
If he truly did feel differently he didn't argue, chewing on his bottom lip for a beat before he spoke, his voice a degree softer. "You said her name is Cora?"
"Cora Jean. Thought she might go by CJ but she corrects anyone that tries, "I'm not Cee-Jay, I'm Cora.””
You couldn’t help a little smile as you imitated her, and felt your shoulders relax when you saw the hint of a smile on his face too.
"Who's there mommy?"
You turned when you heard the familiar pipsqueak voice of your daughter, your eyes finding her standing in the mouth of the hallway rubbing her eyes.
"Remember my friend from the doctor's? It's just him Cor, you can go back to bed."
Cora squinted for a second to verify that herself, walking a little further into the light. Satisfied with the confirmation, she rubbed her eyes with the hand not clinging to her stuffed koala.
“Night night mommy’s friend,” She said sleepily, giving a small wave.
Austin waved back, and you didn’t know if he’d wanted you to hear the quiet “Goodnight baby,” he said in response but it made your chest tighten either way.
"I don't want to keep you from her," You said when she’d disappeared back down the hallway, looking at your hands folded together on the table. "But having her splashed on the cover of People in some scandal story, paparazzi outside our house, that's a part of why I never told you."
A “part” was underselling the amount of nightmares you’d had from the time Cora was still in-utero about waking up to the fallout of one wrong person finding out about her parentage. You were sure there were people who drew their own silent conclusions , but you’d only told your mother and Leah yourself. The two people who you trusted wouldn't tell a soul.
How careful you’d been didn't stop your heart from stuttering when a stranger's eyes in the grocery store lingered a little too long though.
"I don't want that for her either. We're," Austin said gently, reaching a hand across the counter and laying it over yours. "We're gonna figure this out. You and me."
You nodded, wanting more than anything to believe that that was still possible after all this time.
----
Sleep didn't come easy for you that night, your mind racing as you laid awake staring at the ceiling. Just when you started to feel too tired to physically stay awake much longer, your phone buzzed.
Apparently Austin couldn't sleep either.
If it's not too much could you send me some photos?
You sat up a little, eyes heavy as you swiped open your phone, going to your camera roll and thumbing through the album labeled Cora Jean. The photos you chose ranged from across the years. Cora sitting in her high chair at only a few months old, grinning at the camera through the food covering her face, the two of you in your mom's backyard at her second birthday, a little video of her first dance recital, a photo her daycare had sent you her during art time, paint smeared across her nose.
When you texted the final selections, an ache bloomed in your chest as the gravity of it all finally started to sink in. Tugging the covers over your head, you willed yourself to crash and forget about everything for just a few hours.

“Dammit,” you mutter, groaning as you slam your hands down on the piano keys. You’ve been at this for hours and nothing, absolutely nothing, is coming to mind when you try to think of lyrics for a new song. At least nothing you can actually use.
All you need is one final song to complete your new album set to come out later this year, but you’ve been struggling immensely to come up with anything. You feel solid with everything else you’ve written thus far for the new record, but you feel like something’s missing, you just don’t know what.
For months you’ve been revisiting your feelings on past relationships and experiences that you’ve never been able to face before. This album has honestly been the most healing and eye opening experience for you. With each finished song you’ve found yourself feeling lighter or more empowered which has been such a surreal experience. For this final song you want to continue that theme of opening up and talking about things that have affected you. But you don’t want it to be heavy like some of the other songs and also don’t want it to be a fun pop-infused track like the rest of them. You want it to be that middle ground. You just wish you knew what that middle ground is.
After a few more minutes of fiddling around with the black and white keys, you hear your boyfriend of six years come in through the front door.
“Hey, baby,” he says as he spots you sitting at the piano in the exact spot he left you in hours ago. “Still working on that song?”
Sighing, you nod your head and rub at your eyes. They’re honestly starting to burn after staring at your notes of random lyrics for so long. You could use a nap right about now.
Austin walks over and places a light hand on one of your shoulders before leaning down and planting a kiss on the top of your head. The action leaves you feeling warm inside and causes a small smile to form at the corner of your mouth. Turning, you look up at him and are met with his pale blue eyes and sweet smile.
“Why don’t I help you? We can work on it together.”
Nodding your head you say, “Yeah, I’d love that.”
Looking around, you try to find something that you can pull up to the piano so Austin can have somewhere to sit. Before you can even glance halfway across the living room though, he’s picking you up by your waist and settling in behind you and placing you on his lap, pulling you back so you’re flush against his chest, his arms wrapped loosely around you.
“Austin!” You giggle, bits of your frustration and struggles already melting away with his presence. “You do realize this stool is not only small but also not that sturdy?”
The blonde hums and you can feel him shrug his shoulders. “At least if it breaks I’ll be the one to hit the ground first. I’ll soften your landin’.”
Rolling your eyes, you chuckle before reaching out for your open notebook. You unhook the pen from the page you left it clipped in and begin to tap lightly on the paper, reading over what little you have on it.
“Do you have any idea what you want this song to be about? Or are you still tryin’ to decide?”
“I guess still trying to decide. I mean you know how special this album has been for me so far.” Unwrapping Austin’s arms from around your waist, you get up and turn yourself around, settling back on your boyfriends lap once you’re face to face. “I just want to keep that feeling going. I don’t know why I’m struggling so much with this. It’s one last song, I’ve dealt with worse pressure and deadlines before I just-I don’t know, it all feels-“
Cutting yourself off, you take a deep breath, suddenly feeling a rush of emotions beginning to bubble to the surface. Maybe it’s the fact you’ve been working for hours or that all of these songs have opened up parts of you you never thought would be open again. Whatever it is, it has you on the brink of tears.
This music has been some of your most vulnerable art yet and you know that there’s a part of you that’s worried it won’t be received well or that it’ll be picked apart. There’s a reason you’ve never closed the chapter on so many of these stories before, your stories. These songs are literally about things and people that have kept you up at night and there’s something awfully scary about releasing something like that, even if you have been doing stuff like this for years. Somehow, it feels different this time.
“Hey, look at me,” Austin cups your face between his hands and tilts his head to try and catch your eyes. He can see the gleam of tears in them and his heart constricts at the sight. He hates the pressure you put on yourself and the pressure other people put on you as well. It’s something the two of you have worked on together over the years, but he knows you still struggle with it deeply, especially with things like this. “I know how important this album is to you and I have no doubt in my mind that you’re gonna figure this out. Forget what anyone else might think, this music is yours and yours alone. Hell, you know you could just throw on a five minute track of you just breathin’ and your fans would think it’s the best damn thing in the world.”
A loud laugh erupts from the back of your throat and you throw your head back, the sound carrying throughout the living room. “How is it you always know the right thing to say?” Wrapping your arms around Austin’s neck, you lean in and rub your nose lightly against his.
“It’s a natural talent, or so I’m told.” The two of you let out breathy laughs before going silent. A beat passes before Austin pulls away slightly. “I just know my girl and I know she’s gonna figure out this song and that it’s gonna be incredible. Just take a breath, sweetheart, it’s just me and you here. You don’t need to worry about all that outside pressure when you’re with me, you know that. I’ve got you.”
It’s impossible to hold back the smile that spreads across your face. Reaching up, you cup the blonde’s jaw in one of your hands and lean in, connecting your lips and quickly falling into a smooth rhythm.
Austin’s lips are soft and warm against your own. Your body practically melts into his, a content feeling coursing through your veins. These moments with your boyfriend, where it’s just the two of you, are some of your most favorite. When you’re with Austin it’s like nothing else matters besides the two of you. The outside world and all the pressure, gossip, and expectations that come with it float away. With Austin, you’re no longer Y/N Y/L/N, you’re just Y/N. In the best way possible he expects nothing from you, unlike previous boyfriends and a large part of the public, all Austin wants is to love and care for you. Honestly that’s all you could ever ask for in a partner.
Trailing your hands down the actor’s chest, you grab onto the pockets of his jacket he has yet to take off, using them to bring him impossibly closer to you. As your fingers settle into the pockets, you pull one hand out as something brushes across it.
Holding the item between two fingers, you break apart from Austin and look down at it, a joyous laugh instantly passing between your lips as you realize what it is. “Aus, no way! I can’t believe you still have this in your pocket!”
“What is it?” Shifting his head down, Austin peers at the small item pinched between your fingers. Recognition flashes across his face and he smirks while shaking his head. “I almost forgot about that! That’s crazy it’s stayed in there all this time, it’s so small, like a firefly.”
Holding it up in the sunlight, your eyes gleam at the small token. The way the sun shines across the smooth surface, it practically does resemble a firefly. To others it may seem like nothing, but to you and Austin it’s a fond memory of one of the few getaways you were able to have without being constantly followed by paparazzi. It’s nothing but a pebble, but the story that goes along with it will always warm your heart.
“Do you remember when we got this?” You ask barely above a whisper, the feelings of the memory already seeping into your mind, a sense of calm and peace settling within you.
“Of course I do. We picked it up last July when we were in Ireland. I remember we found it while playin’ I Spy and walkin’ around the coast one afternoon.” A small smile curves Austin’s lips upwards, the sound of the waves and the feeling of the sun on his skin coming back to him full force.
“It was your turn to guess what I spotted and you picked it up and were so sure that was the thing I was talking about. The smallest pebble in the world amongst a thousand other things and yet you were dead set on making me believe that’s what I saw and that you won.”
Austin’s deep chuckle fills the air as he takes the pebble from your hand. “And I did win. Fair and square and you know it, baby.” The man winks at you before reaching over and placing the pebble on the built in shelf on the wall next to the piano. Dozens of your and Austin’s accomplishments and shared memories line the shelves. It’s one of your favorite parts of the house.
As you stare at the new addition to the collection, an idea comes to mind, a little joke if you will. “I spy with my little tired eye, tiny as a firefly, a pebble that we picked up last July.”
Austin smiles and nudges his head into your neck. “Real specific,” he quips. “Do you think it misses Wicklow sometimes?”
Giggling, you nod your head. “Probably. I know I do. I’d give anything to be back in that town with you again.”
“Me too. We’ll have to go back sometime.” You hum in agreement, the thought seeming really nice.
As you look at your boyfriend and reflect back on that vacation and the thoughts you’ve had since he arrived home, words, no lyrics, start to form in your mind.
Quickly, you untangle yourself from Austin before getting up and turning back around towards the piano. You carefully sit back down on his lap, not wanting to hurt him, and pick up your notebook.
Before your pen even gets a chance to touch the paper, your phone buzzes across the piano’s music shelf.
Picking up your phone, you check to see if it’s anything important. Unfortunately it’s not, it’s merely a news notification that you could’ve sworn you turned off ages ago. Even more unfortunately, the article happens to be about you. Scoffing at the title and the clear absurdity of it all, you hold the device up for Austin to see.
“They said ‘the end is coming’,” you mumble, feeling tired of the constant speculation on not only your career but your relationship with your actor boyfriend as well.
The blonde looks at your phone and rolls his eyes at the bold print he comes across.
EXCLUSIVE! Y/N Y/L/N and the Evident End of Both Her Career and Relationship With Actor Beau Austin Butler!
“Not a chance. Everyone’s up to somethin’, you just gotta stick with what you know and trust that everythin’ will turn out okay. You’re doin’ incredible in your career right now and no matter what anyone says, I’m not goin’ anywhere. You’re it for me, Y/N, no one’s ever gonna be able to compare.”
Austin leans forward and presses a kiss to the back of your shoulder, the feeling making your heart flutter. You scrunch your shoulder up and press your cheek to it, basking in the warmth there as Austin tilts his head down towards you.
“And you wonder why I find myself running home to you every day. How could a girl ever give up a guy that treats her as good as you treat me?”
Nuzzling his nose in the crook of your neck, Austin responds, “I could say the same about you, sweetheart.”
Austin kisses your shoulder again quickly before you toss your phone to the side and pick up where you left off. For a while the only sounds audible in the house are the soft breathing of the man behind you and the rapid scribbles of your pen on paper. Despite the pressure you’re dealing with and the sudden unwarranted gossip article interruption, you feel at ease. Just like Austin said you would, you find yourself rapidly coming up with a final song, the man of the hour ironically becoming your inspiration. You should’ve known you’d end up here, there will never be enough songs to describe the love you and the actor share.
“You know what this reminds me of?” Austin mumbles softly as he leans his head on your shoulder, the vibration of his voice sending chills down your back. You hum in response, not trusting your voice. “Remember that one time we were driving home from…somewhere, I don’t know, but suddenly you just got this random idea out of nowhere and started writin’ this poem on a napkin we had in the glove box.”
“I do!” You grin. “It was called Mirrorball and when I finished writing it and showed you, you turned to me and said ‘what a mind!’. You do realize you say that to me all the time? Pretty much anytime I show you something new I write.” You giggle and sneak a glance over your shoulder, melting at the sight of Austin’s sparkling eyes and coy smile.
“Okay but I was right because you ended up turnin’ it into a genius song that’s still one of my favorites of yours to this day. Everyone loves it and yet has no idea it started as a little poem written on a random car napkin. It never fails to blow my mind how you’re able to come up with this stuff. I hope you realize how talented you are. You’re amazing, Y/N, seriously.”
“Austin!” You squeak, heat rising to your cheeks as you become shy over his words. It’s not that you don’t know you’re talented, it’s just the fact there’s someone else who constantly supports you and understands your art as much as you do. Someone who believes in you wholeheartedly and is genuinely in awe over your life’s work. To have someone be honest with you about it all and be unashamed to admit their astonishment over it is really special to you and you appreciate it a lot. “Thank you, truly.”
Your boyfriend smiles kindly at you, understanding completely how you’re feeling. Somehow he’s always able to do that; read your mind in a way, understand all the things you’re trying to say without actually saying them. You’re not sure when this started happening but whenever it was it was natural and just more of a sign to you that you’ve never had anyone quite like Austin in your life before and you know that you never will again.
“I don’t think I say it enough so I just want you to know how much I appreciate everything you do for me. I know being in this relationship hasn’t always been the easiest and who knows what the future will hold, but yet you’ve always stood by me. You don’t let the noise in and are only ever concerned with what’s happening between you and I alone, never what anyone else thinks of us. You know better than anyone that there are times I fear our relationship will crumble or that something will change and you’ll turn out like every other guy I’ve been with. And I know it won’t and I know you aren’t, I know it with my whole heart, and yet sometimes it still happens but you take it in stride.
“You never pressure me about it all or expect me to be someone I’m not. You accept me for who I am and who I’m trying to be without any questions. We’re not perfect and we have our moments, I know that, but there’s truly no one else in this world I’d rather be with. Outside, there’s an endless amount of people pushing and shoving, both metaphorically and physically sometimes, and yet as soon as I step through that front door it stops. I walk in and half the time I find you humming Elvis songs in the kitchen and it’s like nothing else matters. When I’m with you I’m just Y/N. No pressure, no expectations, nothing, and it’s…sweet. I just want you to know how much I appreciate you seeing me for me and that I love you more than you could ever imagine, Austin.”
Instantly you feel the man’s arms tighten around you, his chin settling on the top part of your shoulder as he holds you close. “I did not expect to get emotional today,” he jokes, his voice quavering, a tell tale sign he’s trying to fight back tears. “I don’t know what else to say besides I love you, Y/N, so so much. You don’t ever have to thank me for all of that but I appreciate it just as much as I appreciate you.”
Reaching a hand up, you thread your fingers in Austin’s hair, turning your head so you can lean it against his as the two of you take in this loving moment. You and Austin express your love to each other practically every day, but you can’t remember the last time it was as intense and deep as this. Your heart feels so incredibly full right now and a small part of you is grateful you were struggling with this song because without that frustration, you would’ve never had this moment with the man you love today, and that thought alone seems unbearable.
After some time passes, Austin begins to shift behind you. You watch as he reaches a hand out and grabs your notebook from the piano. He hums as he reads over what you have so far, majority of it based off things you were discussing earlier. His lips twitch happily as he gets further down the page and it’s not long before he asks, “Can you hand me that pen?”
You happily oblige him, intrigued in whatever it is he plans on doing. Austin’s quick with it, he brings the pen up to the top of the page and in an instant he’s finished. After he places the journal back on the piano you take a moment to look over what he wrote. A satisfied sigh escapes you and a smile forms on your lips as you’re met with the most perfect title and the missing words you couldn’t quite place for the refrain.
“Well, I think you just earned yourself some writing credits, Mr. Butler,” you tease, squeezing the hand still wrapped around your waist.
“I guess you’re not the only lyrical genius in this house then, are you?” Austin begins to pepper kisses all around the side of your face which causes you to erupt in a fit of giggles. You squirm against him and a thought flashes in your mind that if this keeps up, the piano bench may actually collapse. But hey, at least you’ll have someone to catch you, to soften the landing, and a part of you feels content in knowing that. Sometimes things happen and you end up getting knocked down, but it’s not so bad when you’ve got someone there to help you get back up.
Luckily, the two of you settle down and get situated. Just as you were earlier, you begin to play around with the piano keys. Based off the lyrics you have so far you feel a soft ballad would be best for this song, not too deep or intense and not too pop-infused; that perfect middle ground.
The notes you begin to play are alright, but you can tell there’s something missing. The beat isn’t quite hitting right as you think about the lyrics in your head, but before you can begin to fuss over it, Austin places one of his hands over yours.
“What if you add this in…”
The blonde’s slender fingers begin to push down on the keys along with yours and soon the space is filled with a tune you immediately fall in love with. Austin continues playing as you slip your hand out from under his and you watch adoringly as he tries to piece together the lyrics with the melody, genuine interest and enjoyment evident in his actions.
You revel in the sight before you, a visual you’ll never quite get over. This has happened before, you and Austin making music together, but each and every time it’s so special to you and you just have a feeling this one’s going to be even more-so.
Glancing at the open journal infront of you, you yet again smile at the title Austin’s written out. He captured the song, the feeling, perfectly.
There’s no other phrase you’d rather use. It all truly is a whole lot of Sweet Nothing.

What happens in Vegas doesn't stay in Vegas (Elvis Presley x Reader) p.1
word count: 1,4k
warnings: a few curse words, drinking
summary: It was your husband's 30th birthday. You tried to be a good wife for him, so you bought tickets to Elvis' much wanted Las Vegas concert at the International hotel. The evening doesn't go the way you planned it though. What happens when you get ditched and catch Elvis' eye?
a/n: Hey everyone! I'm starting a series!! but I'll still continue making those short imagines of Elvis. I hope you guys liked this and please leave me some requests, if you have any. I would be happy to write something that you would want me to! Thank you all <3
Tumblr media
"Happy birthday darling!" you yelled in excitement after handing John, your husband, your gift. It was in a tiny red envelope which made your husband raise his eyebrow. He thanked you with a half-hearted kiss and took the envelope from your hands. He opened it slowly with confusion plastered all over his face. He then took out a small brown piece of paper. He turned it around and noticed the name "Elvis" written in big letters and the number 17 on it. "Honey is this what I think it is?" his eyes grew wide. "YES! I finally got my hands on these bad boys." you laughed. John embraced you and lifted you off the ground. "Thank you, thank you and THANK YOU." he said while spinning you around. You were so happy that he liked the gift. He hasn't looked this happy ever, not even on your wedding day.
-
It was the 3rd day of June, and you were getting ready for the show in your hotel room. You had booked a room for a few days and while it was expensive, it was so worth it. Comfortable bed filled with a mountain of pillows, delicious breakfast and amazing view out of your window that shows Las Vegas in its all glory. You were not happy with one thing though. Your husband had brought 3 of his friends with him so he could "have the best experience possible" of Vegas. That meant getting drunk daily while wasting thousands on those cursed games. You wanted this to be the time dedicated for only the two of you. He had been working over-time every day and night so was it wrong for you to wish to spend some alone time with your own husband?
The door opened and you looked over your shoulder to see all 4 men stumbling through the door, already tipsy. "And did you see those fucking ti- Oh look who's here getting all dolled up for me." John walked over to you and caressed your shoulder. "You smell of whiskey." you said while continuing to apply mascara. "Well, is that a crime?" he cupped your face and you almost poked yourself in the eye. He turned you to face him and gave you a wet kiss which you did not enjoy. All of his friends started to laugh in the background. "Stop it." "Don't be like this sweetie. You know you want me. Why else would you cover your face with all this crap? It doesn't make you any prettier." Laugh erupted again behind him. Why was he acting like this? "The show is starting soon so we're going to go get some drinks before the King steps on stage. Don't take forever." John kissed your lips again and gave your cheek a pat. Frown made its way on to your face and a teardrop almost fell to your cheek but you had to keep it in so you wouldn't ruin your makeup. You looked at your own reflection on the mirror and you tried to smile to make things better. To make yourself forget what had just happened. To make yourself happier.
You finished your makeup and hair which was higher than usual. You wanted to look your best so maybe, just maybe, Elvis could notice you. Your seats were quite close to the stage, so it was possible. You laughed at the thought of that happening. You changed your clothes and put on a beautiful dress that you had bought for this occasion. It was sparkly and short with sleeves. You also wore your favorite knee-high boots. You checked that you had your tickets and a wallet with you and left the room with excitement boiling in you.
-
The hotel was packed with stylish, rich people that we're all going to different places in a hurry. Some were going to the bar to get drinks for the show, some were trying to find the closest bathroom, and some were just chatting with their people. You were trying to make your way to the showroom, but you accidentally pumped into someone. "I'm so sorry. It's so hard to make your way out of this pla-" your sentence was cut short when you noticed who you had pumped into. You recognized the man immediately...Jerry Schilling. "Don't worry about it. I hope you enjoy the show." he said to you quickly while walking past you. You saw him go through a door and closing it as fast as he opened it. Nobody had noticed the incident.
Finally, you found your way to your seat and surprisingly the table was empty. You glanced at your watch. It was 20:45 and your husband and his friends were nowhere to be seen. The show was starting in 15 minutes and the room was beginning to fill up. People were coming in from all the doors and still no husband. You sat down and tapped your finger anxiously on your thigh. 10 minutes pass and still no one. You considered leaving the room to check the bar if they might still be drinking but the lights closing stopped you. You glanced towards the main entrance while the golden curtains opened revealing all the musicians ready in their places. See See Rider starts playing. Still no husband. You decided that you were going to enjoy the concert even though he wasn't here. You spent all this time and money for this, so you had the right to enjoy the night to your fullest. A loud scream took you off your thoughts and suddenly the crowd was going crazy.
There he was. Elvis Presley in his white suit looking illegally good. His black hair was slicked back, and his blue eyes were shining bright. He looked at the crowd in awe and you couldn't stop looking at him. Everyone including you were mesmerized by his presence. "How are yall doing tonight?" he said smiling while putting his guitar around his waist. The crowd went crazy once again. In just seconds, your husband was out of your thoughts.
30 minutes had passed, and you were enjoying your time until something happened that almost made you choke on your own saliva. "Whatchu doing here all by yourself, pretty lady?" Elvis said while pointing his index finger at you. He had just finished singing The Wonder of You. All the lights and people's heads turned to you. "Me?" you pointed at yourself, almost being unable to answer. He nodded. "Well, my husband and his friends ditched me, but I couldn't help missing out this concert." you yelled so he could hear you. "Well, come here then." Elvis put his hand out for you. You stood up from your seat, knees shaking, and walked over to him. Elvis kneeled down to your level and embraced you. "Darling don't be blue and worry about him, I'll make it up for you, just wait." he put his microphone away from his face and whispered into your ear which gave you goose bumps. Elvis gave your cheek a peck and smiled at you. It looked genuine. You were too shocked to answer so you nodded and walked back to your seat, knees still weak. For the rest of the concert, you thought he was just playing around and not being serious but suddenly you felt a tap on your shoulder. It was Jerry, and once again your eyes grew wide. "Hey, Elvis would like for you to join him at the backstage after the concert ends. We have to leave now before people notice though." Jerry said to you while offering his hand. You thought for a moment because you were worried that your husband would get mad at you but before saying anything you grabbed Jerry's hand and left the room with him. Before going through the door that was placed at the very back of the room near the entrance, you glanced at the stage and noticed Elvis watching the two of you. He gave you a small wink which made you blush. You stepped through the door and Jerry closed it behind him.

Each chapter will contain a related song suggestion and matching lyrics. I highly recommend listening to each song as they beautifully mesh with the themes of each individual chapter.

Austin/Elvis yanked me from fanfic retirement so when I started writing FW, I fell in love with the characters & the storyline. I’m posting here so that maybe others can fall in love with them too.
I haven’t written in a while so sorry if it’s a little rusty, especially in the first couple chapters.
This post ended up being really long so sorry if it was a lot, thank you if you made it this far.
I hope you love it, please let me know if you do.

Strawberry Pie
It is time to get rid of some drafts that I have had for months at this point. Even if they have a few sentences I want to get them out. I also hope that having these one-shots thrown in people will remember me... and maybe my posts will do better then... (22 notes). It really is unmotivating sometimes. Looking at your follower count and then your notes. Like so far... the year is not going good for this account.

You scrolled through the list of songs on your phone. Today you were in a cheerful mood. You were happy, and you felt no sense of sadness. Let’s not jinx it just yet, but you had big plans today. Austin was out with his agent talking about some upcoming deals. You wanted to surprise him with a small gift.
Once you finally decided on the song you turned off your phone and went over to your recipe box. You only had a few recipes in there that were from you, but you had your grandmother’s as well. She always talked about how you were going to get that box when she died and well… That day came a couple of months ago. It still pained you, but you were finally in a good mood.
Peering through all the recipes your eyes found the one you wanted, Strawberry pie. You remember eating this during the summers at your grandmother’s house. It was such a fond memory and such a wonderful pie. You pulled it out of the box and brought it over to the middle island.
You brought out all of the ingredients needed and started to get to work. You had a few hours before Austin came in, so in theory… the pie should be cooled down when he arrives. That way you two can have a slice after dinner. Seems like today is a day you’ll be spending in the kitchen. You had no issue with that though. You loved being a housewife.
As stereotypical as it was… it was nice. Not having to worry about working. You were able to stay home, keep the house clean, cook your husband a wonderful dinner… or order it… and tend to other matters. Hopefully one day you can add a little one to the equation. For now, that wasn’t on Austin’s list and you had to respect that.
For dinner, you had planned a dish that would go along with your pie. You were thinking about making salmon with mashed potatoes, and then some type of veggie on the side. It just depended on what you had. That seemed like a good meal, and then you two could have some pie afterward… It sounded perfect.
Once everything was in the oven and everything was getting cooked you decided to take a break. You untied your apron and took it off. You’ve been standing on your feet for some time now, you wanted to sit down, and that is exactly what you ended up doing. You grabbed your phone to check your notifications.
A few messages from Austin, some even from your sister. A missed call from your mother, a few emails- wait… a missed call from your mother? You went ahead and called her back. Your mother usually didn’t call. If she did, she would let you know. Plus, she didn’t leave a message either which… is even weirder.
“Hello?” Your mother’s voice entered your ear.
“Hi momma, I was just returning your call. I didn’t know you called.” You said to her.
“Oh, I didn’t mean to. I just accidentally hit the call button instead of something else. I tried to hang up quickly so… I didn’t mean to, I’m sorry honey.” Your mother explained. You let out an oh sound and nodded.
“It’s okay, I just thought it was weird is all. Figured I would give you a call and check-in. Make sure that everything is okay.”
“Well, now that I got you. What’s going on? Anything exciting happening today?” She asked you.
“Well, you remember that strawberry cake grandma would always make us in the summer?” You questioned her.
“Of course I do,” she replied.
“Well, I decided to make that today for Austin. I was just feeling in a good mood and I figured to use that energy and create something with it.” You explained to her.
“Oh, that sounds delicious. I wish you would bring us some over, but that is too long of a drive.” Your mother chuckled. You rolled your eyes playfully and shook her head.
“Well next time you guys come and visit, or we come to yours to visit I’ll be sure to make some. I know Grandma would want me to share it.” You told her.
“Yeah, she would have.” Your mother said softly, “I miss her.”
“I miss her too… it’s been rough… I honestly hoped I would’ve had kids before she passed. She was such a wonderful lady but… You have one fall and it’s all downhill from there…” You replied back with a soft tone. Here was the sadness, that sadness you all so had to jinx yourself with earlier.
“I know… but, she’s still around. In our hearts… in our minds… in spirit. She will always be around. We just can’t see her,” Your mother recited some type of religicall sentence. Like the father, son, and the Holy Spirit.
“I know… well… I better get back to it then. I have to check on the Salmon and see how the pie is cooling. Bye, momma, I love you.”
“I love you too, honey.” She replied and hung up. You placed your phone down and let out a sigh.
You pushed yourself up and walked over to the big sliding glass doors. You pushed them open and stood in the middle. You felt the cool wind brush past your skin in a soothing manner. The clear blue skies let you know that… she was here. The clear blue skies those summers you would spend with her.
You smiled softly and went back to check your mood, leaving the doors open to let in fresh air… and maybe even your grandma. You knew spirits could do anywhere they wanted, but your grandmother was a respectful woman. She would only enter when allowed, and when it was okay.
You pulled out the food and started to get the plates ready. You heard a ding from your phone and went to quickly check it. A text from Austin that read, Just down the street. I’ll be home soon :P
You giggled lightly at the expression he added and shook your head. For once, you had managed your time, and everything will fall into place right when you need it to. You brought the food over to the table and went to quickly wipe your hands. You rushed over to the door and opened it just as Austin was.
“Oh, hi,” Austin chuckled lightly. You smiled and pushed yourself up on your tippy toes and kissed his cheek.
“Hi, I missed you.” You greeted him and moved out of the way.
“I missed you too, sweetheart… but what is going on?” He looked at you confused.
“What do you mean?”
“You hardly greet me at the door.” He pointed out to you.
“Well- you aren’t wrong, but I made dinner… and I made a special dessert. One I’ve been wanting to make you for quite some time.” You explained to him.
“Let me freshen up and I’ll meet you in the kitchen then okay?” With a nod of your head, Austin made his way upstairs to freshen up.
You made your way back over to the kitchen and decided to get the drinks. You poured two glasses of water and brought them over to the table. You sat down and patiently waited for Austin. You looked out into your guys’ backyard and smiled. Your grandmother’s backyard was a field of memories. Easter time in the annual Y/l/n egg hunt. You always won of course. No one could ever beat your skills.
You remember around Christmas time when you would go out with your grandparents and build snowmen with them. The snowball fights you all shared. The summer barbecue with the strawberry pie. God, you’re going to miss having those every year.
“Oh wow,” Austin said as he entered the kitchen. You looked over at him and smiled.
“Remember how I tell you the stories about my grandma’s strawberry pie?” You asked him gently. He nodded and found his way across from you.
“Every time you tell it, it leaves my mouth watering.” He chuckled lightly.
“Well… I made it,” you smiled.
“Is there a special occasion? I didn’t forget anything right? Cause I swear our anniversary isn’t until another two months. Your birthday isn’t until another five months… As far as I know, today is nothing.” He started to freak out a bit. You laughed gently at him.
“I guess I just wanted to celebrate being in a good mood. It’s been rough these few months you know… and I finally wake up and I’m in a good mood. Wanted to treat my boyfriend.” You admitted to him.
“Dammit, I knew I should’ve stopped for flowers.” He swore at himself.
‘’Austin stop,” you shook your head, “you get me flowers all the time. I wanted to treat you for once.”
“I love you,” Austin said as he reached over for your hand. You blushed gently as he gave your hand a squeeze.
“I love you too.”
“Well, shall we dig in so we can get to that pie?” Austin suggested with a smile. You nodded early and started to eat your dinner.
You two talked about each other's day. Though, Austin’s was much more entertaining than your baking story. Though, Austin would never say that. He always had nice things to say no matter what. When the time came to eat pie, you two went out onto the deck to enjoy it. Where you shared stories about your grandma to him.
“Maybe one day we can do that.” Austin hummed from beside you. You turned to look at him confused. What did he mean by that? “Make new memories with our kids.”
“Our kids…?”
“Yeah, I think… I think we can start trying. That is if you want to of course. Share your grandma’s pie to generations.” He smiled as he wrapped his arm around you.
“I would like that,” you whispered and kissed him softly.

I think you all could have noticed that I don't post as much as I used to. It's mostly because I am loosing motivation. I know I talk about the lack of notes a lot... but it really is a big factor. I used to get hundreds and now I'm barely breaking a hundred.
I know it sounds like I'm being ungrateful but I'm just lost and confused in what happened.
Thank you to everyone who voted for a time! I really appreciate it. Also, this is my first time using the queue function so… let’s see if I did it right.

Hi Tom, I know it's been a long time since we had talked but I don't want to see you...at all. If you asked why then you're an idiot. You had hurted me by keeping your feelings for Z for so long and you were dating me when you love her. It's not only making me feel our relationship wasn't real at all but all the sweetest things you have said to me feels like a rotten thing now. Did you ever love me? Did you even mean the I love you's to me? Were you thinking of her when we have sex? Did you had wish it was her...? Look Tom I love you so so so much, you're literally my first love. But for me to move on from you is to cut all contacts with you. Im sorry.
I know you'll ask if I love Austin...Yes, I love him so much that it makes me feel lost without him. He was there when i needed him, he was there everytime there's a dinner at my family, and he was also there when I was hospitalize. I really do love you Thomas Stanley Holland but I want you to focus on Zendaya now, she's like a sister to me. I want you to keep her safe, happy, and love. I hope you understand. Goodbye Thomas

Hey so on another note, and I hope this isn't annoying, but could you do a one-shot where reader is attacked by ex and Austin (current boyfriend) comes to her rescue and takes care of her but she promises she's okay (she's in complete denial) but then it all becomes to much and she bursts into tears and begs Austin to hold her. P.s. I actually have written something similar to this but never posted it. If you want I can send it to you to use and add too. What do you think?
You have just made history for being the very first person on earth who's requested a one-shot so AHHH I'm SUPER NERVOUS but kinda excited for you to read?!?!? I hope this is something that you liked/wanted. I really hope you enjoyed as much as I enjoyed writing it!!! Lots of love, thank you for encouraging me as a writer always!💗💗

I'm Okay, You're Okay
Tumblr media
"Hey," Austin's voice interrupts what you're in the middle of saying and you come to a halt, looking over at him from across the dinner table. Your boyfriend usually isn't one to interrupt you or pay little attention and so you sit up a little bit straighter knowing that there has to be a reason for him cutting you off.
His blue eyes- usually filled with light and sparkle now looks dim and a wary look flashes on his face as he looks over your head and behind where you are.
"Isn't that Todd?" He asks in an uneasy voice.
You raise an eyebrow. "What?"
Austin leans in his seat, his eyes darting from over your head, to back at your face. "Todd. I think that's him."
Your face falls and confusion travels through your mind. You have no doubt it is Todd, your ex-boyfriend of a year and a half. It's not like he's moved or anything. It isn't like after a break up as cold as yours, he wouldn't be gone and disappear from your life. Sure, you've decided not to go to what used to be Todd and your favorite spots, in hopes to not see him, but you knew you couldn't act like he didn't exist forever. You've sort of even wondered how things would be like if you saw him again, but now you didn't have to wonder, as was now here when your boyfriend was on your date night.
"Is he with someone?" You ask.
Much to your suprise Austin shakes his head. "Nah, he's alone."
"Should I...should I look behind me?" You whisper in hesitation.
Austin pauses in contemplation as he looks at the far table before he speaks out. "I don't know....I don't wanna get the wrong guy. Just pretend you're cracking your back or something."
You nod. "On it." You say and then hold the frame of the chair, now twisting your back. Your eyes scan the rest of the restaurant, seeing many unknown faces until finally, near the back booth you recognize that indeed your ex is here. He's on his phone, typing away as what you suspect the steaming plate is rice in front of him. That man loved nothing more than his rice.
You turn back in your chair, looking at Austin who nervously sits across from you, awaiting your answer. "It is him." You confirm.
Austin nods, picking up his fork. "Figured as much."
"Do I-"
"We'll just stay here, act like he's not even here. There's nothing to worry about." Austin reassures you with a smile. Then he looks at your face and his eyes suddenly change to a more protective gaze.
"There is nothing to worry about, right?" He asks.
You nod, reaching over to take a sip of your drink. "Yeah, there's nothing to worry about." You concur. But why is it that when you're even saying this, you don't know for a fact if you're right?
______
Dinner goes surprisingly well but you are a little more quiet than usually. Austin sensed that, which is why he always asked if you were okay every few minutes. You assured him you were fine, and soon were in better spirits when Austin told you that Todd had got up and left, going through the backdoor. It didn't seem he saw you and you were glad.
It wasn't like Todd was a monster, per se. If anything he was rather the opposite. You were both really good friends in high school and had reconnected after a time. You both had similar likes and dislikes, habbits and hobbies. Your families were friends with each other. Things seemed to be okay, until he had a new job. At this job, there was a woman that he'd seemed suspiciously close to. You didn't want to be one of those girlfriends who questioned it much, until you actually met this girl for yourself. They had extreme chemistry with each other. It didn't take long for you to start questioning Todd, who only refused and said that you were always jumping to conclusions and assuming things. That's when the yelling would start. That's when he'd turn bitter and angry over everything. In one outburst, Todd finally told you that you were too plain for him and had nothing to offer him. You weren't taking his advantages and he soon grew to resent that. He then said that was the reason why he had Jane, or Lane, or whatever name she had for some reason you couldn't remember. They were there for each other sexually, friends with benefits, Todd admitted. You broke up with him right when he confessed to sleeping with her.
Surprisingly you didn't miss Todd much, or even what you had. Sometimes you think more of the friendship the two of you had much than the relationship. Todd was a good man unfortunately held up with his own tentive desires. It cost your relationship, sure, but it wasn't very long until you found Austin, who you like to call your angel. Austin's not like Todd at all. There's so much respect, love, value, and care that this man has. He's not one to rush anything, and simply enjoys sitting next to you, not even having to say anything. He compliments you, making you feel pretty over and over again as his lips meet the features you've always been insecure about.
"Let's head out?" Austin says, as he stands. The bill is already paid, and your foods are done, the plates wiped clean. You nod, a small yawn escaping your mouth.
"Yep." You say, standing up and pushing in your chair. You grab your coat, just draping it on your shoulders for the night breeze.
You both leave for the night, walking through the revolving doors and you're just about ready to head home. Normally after your Friday night dinners you and Austin would watch a movie, sharing a blanket as you cuddle on the couch with popcorn in your laps. Tonight was not the night, however, as you could feel your eyes starting to droop. You can't wait to go home, have the feel of changing from high heels to slippers, wiping away your makeup and changing into one of Austin's shirts on top of sweats. It's fun to dress up and you're always down for date nights, but some days, you know that sleep is just as nice.
"Oh, the car is on the other side." You suddenly remember, voicing your thoughts out loud when you look at the parking lot. You groan out loud.
Austin lets out a chuckle as he smiles at the ground. "Yeah. You feel like walking?" He asks.
You turn to look up at Austin, reaching out for his hand and mindlessly playing with his fingers. You shake your head and give that smile that you always do, leaning against him when you try to make him give in to what you want.
"Nuh uh." You say, and Austin smiles, looking down at you. He can just tell your motives right from the look in your eyes.
"Right, you want me to walk all the way over and then drive to you." He says exactly what you're thinking, and you laugh, leaning against him.
"Please? You love me." You point out.
Austin lets out an audible sigh. "Unfortunately." He says, leaning forward and cupping the side of your face with his hand. He gives you a quick kiss before he pulls away, removing strands of hair from your face.
"I'll be 2 minutes." He says.
You smile. "Thank you."
Austin sighs once more, a 'why-do-I-put-up-with-you' smile present on his face as he starts walking away, leaving you by the sidewalk.
"Love youuuu!" You sing-song.
"Yeah, yeah, love you most." Austin swats his hand down in a playful dismissive gesture and you laugh to yourself, watching your boyfriend's retreating figure until he heads down the corner going to the other side where you can't see him anymore. That's the thing with Austin, he leaves that effect where even seconds after a brief and cute moment, you're still smiling, so anyone walking down the street would think you're a crazy person. But you love that about him anyway.
"Awwww, how cute that your pretty boyfriend leaves you all by yourself." An all too familiar voice says from behind you.
Todd.
You turn slowly, facing the man who you once were so close to. Nothing has really changed except for the stubble he was growing. You realize that during all this time you haven't said anything, and you need to be civil. You give a small smile.
"Hi Todd." You greet.
"Did you really think," Todd starts walking towards you. "That I didn't notice you back here? You think I really couldn't recognize you?" He asks.
There's a look in his eyes, that look blood-shot, and then a certain smell reaches your nose and you realize he's intoxicated.
Today out of all days. Tonight out of all nights.
You pray in your head that Austin can come back quickly. Todd's anger was one thing, but his drinking problem was another.
You look down the street, but no familiar vehicle comes to your sight. A slight panic starts rising in your chest but you can't afford to look fightened. Todd was always more better when you didn't resist or fight. He liked things when you were quiet and calm, because it made him more calm. He was the reflection of you.
You take a deep breath, keeping your eyes on the road. You know Austin will be here. You won't have to stay much longer.
"Hey," Todd's voice raises as he takes a few more steps in your space, to which you back away. Your hands go in almost in reflex and your heart pounds as Todd looks at you almost seething himself. You know that look. This is just the icing of the cake by him meeting you right here. He was already angy prior to this moment.
That makes things so much worse.
"You couldn't have moved on from me that easily." He bellows, with an evil grin.
You are uncomfortable, trying to move away from Todd as much as you can before he takes your wrist, twisting it in such a grip you can't help but now but speak.
"Hey! Let go!" You say.
"Come on, baby. You know you want me."
You shake your head. "Please just let go of me."
"You think your pretty boyfriend wants you? He'll leave you as soon as he realizes you think you're too good for anyone. That's what that is, right? You think you're to good for anyone's advantages?" Todd whispers in your ear and you squirm, trying to get away, but the strength of his hold grabs both of your wrists.
"He doesn't wanna be with you. He's only there for you to satisfy him and as soon as he gets what he wants, he'll leave you. Then you'll come crawling to me." Todd whispers.
It's worse that he's whispering in your ear, because everyone around wouldn't think you're in need of much help. People come out of the restaurant every few seconds, but Todd just smiles and lets go only for him to grab you as soon as strangers cross the street.
"Why don't you wanna be with me, huh? You think you're better than what I can give you?" Todd now holds your arms, leaning his face dangerously close to your own.
With all of your strength you place your hands on Todd's chest and pushes him and he stumbles back for a few seconds and you try moving away from, yet he comes back. Between your high heels and his stamina and influence, he takes your shoulders, pushing you into the supporting brick wall. You feel the skin in your upper shoulder scrape against the wall and you close your eyes for a second.
A car tire screeches in front of where you both are, and your eyes avert to headlights in the darkness and you know it's Austin. You're panting, just as Todd now moves away and turns to the car. The door opens and sure enough Austin steps out, slamming the door with such force the car might as well break. He rushes over, his mouth pressed together in a thin line, eyes ablaze, and eyebrows furrowed. He looks beyond angry, which you don't encounter much because Austin's not one to be angry.
With so much of a loud clomp in the steps of his platform shoes, Austin goes right at Todd's face, causing Todd to start backing up, his eyes showing a flash of fear before going back to normal.
"You don't touch my girlfriend. You don't ever touch my girlfriend, ever. If something like this happens again, you're gonna wish it didn't." Austin jeers, pointing a finger at Todd's chest.
Todd scoffs, taking a step back. "You think you're all that." He slurs.
Austin glares. "Your words, not mine. Now get out of her face before I do something I regret." He threats in such a authoritative tone, you wince, while Todd leaves the both of you, disappearing behind the restaurant to who knows where.
You're left standing stunned just as Austin rushes over to where you are.
"Are you okay? Are you hurt? Did he say anything? What else did he do?" Austin suddenly asks, holding both sides of your face with his hands, and he levels down and looks at you eye-level. Anger in his face is washed away with concern but you shake your head, smiling a little.
"I'm okay."
"I shouldn't have came so late! No, I should've just carried you bridal style all the way to the car. What I was thinking leaving you alone like this?" Austin asks, panic in his voice. You shake your head, knowing that unfortunately in all this, Austin is going to blame himself.
"Next time, I'm carrying you, I'm dead serious. This isn't happening again. Ever. I'm not doing this- how could I do this to you?" Austin asks, walking away from your hold to pace. He runs fingers through his hair in stress and you step towards him, reaching out.
"It's okay, really. You didn't know."
"It's not okay." Austin denies, shaking his head. He gestures. "This is not okay."
"Austin-"
"Did he hurt you?"
"No." You shake your head. You're not defending Todd. You're not lying on his behalf so that Austin doesn't go about his way and kill the guy. It was the truth. Todd didn't hurt you. Sure, he pushed you right after you pushed him, but aside from the scrape against your shoulder and that sharp stinging pain, you were fine. It could've been much worse.
Austin sighs, running hands down his face. "Why did I have to leave you by yourself?!" He yells.
You rush over to him, shooting apologetic looks to strangers who look over at the sudden outburst. You hold Austin's arms, standing on your tip-toes so that your forehead is against his.
"I'm okay. I'm okay. I'm okay." You whisper gently, trying to repeat those two words as many times as you can to get it into his brain. Austin closes his eyes, now reaching for the sides of your face as you continue whispering those reasurring words, that you're okay right where you are in the safety of his arms.
____________
You actually end up sitting on the couch watching a movie after all, as the excitement of the day makes you no longer tired. You decide to at least take advantage of being wired and choose to treat yourself to a movie that doesn't make you think about anything you're not supposed to. It's one of your comfort movies, and usually you and Austin would snuggle and try throwing popcorn in the air and catching it, laughing over how bad you both were, but Austin isn't really in the mood. He's been off, quiet in the car ride, and when not quiet you wished he was, because all he can express is the guilt of not being there.
You don't want to think about it, and so when Austin suddenly gets up from the couch, you look at him, touching his arm.
"Where are you going?" You ask.
"Just grabbing water." Austin mutters, not looking at you. "You want me to bring you one?" He asks, throwing one look over his shoulder.
He should be as relaxed as he looks, in a baggy white t-shirt over soft orange sweatpants. Yet he's on edge, not relaxed at all, and it makes you have to try extra hard to get him to better spirits.
You give a faint smile. "I'm okay."
Austin stares at you. "Sure?"
You nod. "Yes."
"Alright, but if you need anything, just ask. I promise, I'm gonna take care of you. I promise." He says.
You nod. "Thank you." You say in a quiet voice and Austin starts to walk away.
"Austin?" You suddenly call, causing him to stop mid-walk and he turns around and looks at you.
"Yes?"
You sigh, looking into his distant eyes. "Smile." You tell him.
Austin smiles, but it doesn't reach his eyes. You shake your head.
"Better than that." You say.
Austin then squeezes his eyes shut, giving a toothy grin like a little kid's and you laugh, which eventually causes him to laugh as well. He shakes his head, calling you the strangest person he's ever known before he walks into the kitchen. You turn back to the screen with a faint smile on your face. Austin loves you, it's easy to see. You're grateful he's Austin and not Todd.
Todd....
You don't want to go there in the slightest, but your minds starts to land on Todd. The aftermath of seeing him after so long, makes you sit in discomfort and physical pain. How could he do that do you? How could it still be wanting to push himself towards you after everything? Didn't he have who he left you for? Why was he going to you now in such a needy and thirsting way that sent nerves down every fiber of your body?
Piles of thoughts, out of your control, manage to creep into your mind. Regrets, twists of guilt, underlying shame. You weren't strong enough to let him leave you the first time, there was always something that he saw in you that made him want to come back, trying to fill your thoughts with questions of worth and esteem.
Were you acting too good enough for him? Are you acting good enough for Austin?
You shudder, hugging yourself from the sudden cold that flows through your body. You close your eyes shut. Instant replays of what just happened as well as flashbacks of you and Todd when you first started dating go back and forth in your mind.
How could someone who once was so sweet turn into someone who's now so evil? Did you make him this way, because you simply didn't want to sleep with him? Did you create this body-thirsting monster who wanted you, pressing his body against yours against the wall, stepping so much into your space up to the point where all you smelled was the alcohol on his breath? Was this all, this deconstruction of a civil man, all cause of you?
You shake your head, trying your hardest not to cry, but suddenly like a dam that bursts, you start crying heavily into your hands, dropping the plastic bowl of popcorn on your lap, not caring what contents spill out of it.
"This is all my fault!" You wail, sobbing, and now even crying again when you hear your name being called from the kitchen. You hate that you're crying because now Austin rushes over, kneeling down in front of you.
"What's wrong?" He asks, gently, holding your arms.
"I...I can't. Can you hold me please?" You shake your head, sniffling, just as Austin brings you to him, holding you in his loving arms.
You give in of course, crashing everything down in almost a delayed reaction. You're crying because of everything now. You're crying out of fear, out of confusion, out of anger, out of guilt, out of relief..it's all a mixture of emotions poured into your boyfriend's arms.
Austin gently sways you, kissing the side of your head. He lets you cry, doesn't further ask what's wrong, but instead encourages you to let everything out, no matter how long it takes. He's here and not leaving. This is every assurance you have, right here in this moment, that Austin is not leaving.
And with caring whispers, he repeats the same two words you've said to him, only this time letting you know.
"You're okay. You're okay. You're okay."

A Father's Pride
masterlist ! pairing Feyd-Rautha x reader
SUMMARY : feyd rautha watches how Y/n plays with their child and hears her telling him about their relationship
DUNE Masterlist
Tumblr media
Feyd Rautha watched from the doorway, a proud smile tugging at his lips as he observed his wife, Y/n, playing with their young child in the living room. The room was filled with the sound of their child's delighted laughter as Y/n tickled and chased them around the room, her eyes sparkling with joy.
"You're getting faster, little one!" Y/n exclaimed, her voice filled with affection as she scooped up their giggling child in her arms.
Feyd's heart swelled with love as he watched the tender moment between mother and child. He stepped into the room, his presence unnoticed as Y/n continued to play with their child, completely absorbed in the moment.
"You're such a good mother," Feyd murmured, his voice soft with admiration.
Y/n looked up, surprise flickering in her eyes as she saw her husband standing there. A warm smile spread across her face as she approached him, their child still cradled in her arms.
"Feyd, I didn't hear you come in," she said, pressing a kiss to his cheek. "Did you want to join us?"
Feyd nodded, his gaze lingering on their child. "I just wanted to watch for a moment. You two seem to be having so much fun."
Y/n grinned, bouncing their child gently in her arms. "We are. But it's even better when you're here with us."
Feyd's heart swelled with love at her words. He had never imagined he could be so lucky as to have Y/n as his wife and the mother of his child. As they settled down on the couch together, their child nestled between them, Y/n leaned her head against Feyd's shoulder.
"Remember when we first met?" Y/n asked, her voice filled with nostalgia.
Feyd nodded, a fond smile playing on his lips. "How could I forget? You captured my heart from the moment I saw you."
Y/n chuckled, her fingers tracing circles on their child's back. "And you swept me off my feet with your charm and wit."
They reminisced about their early days together, sharing stories of their courtship and the adventures they had shared. Feyd couldn't help but marvel at how far they had come since then—from two strangers brought together by chance to a family bound by love.
"You've given me everything I ever dreamed of and more," Feyd said, his voice filled with emotion.
Y/n smiled, her eyes shining with love. "And you've given me a life I never could have imagined. I'm grateful for every moment we've shared together."
Their child yawned, snuggling closer to them as they settled down for the night. Feyd pressed a kiss to Y/n's forehead, feeling grateful for the love and happiness they had found together.
"I love you, Y/n," Feyd whispered, his voice barely above a whisper.
Y/n leaned into his embrace, her heart overflowing with love. "I love you too, Feyd. More than words can express."
As they sat there together, surrounded by the warmth and love of their family, Feyd felt a sense of peace wash over him. In that moment, he knew that no matter what trials they faced in the future, as long as they were together, they could overcome anything.
And as their child drifted off to sleep in their arms, Feyd couldn't help but feel a deep sense of gratitude for the precious gift of family that he held in his arms—a gift that he would cherish for the rest of his days.

summary: living in ohio with austin while he's on location filming for the bikeriders.
austin x female!reader
a/n: i got this idea after this interview, while he was talking about what he does at night once he gets home after filming. hope you enjoy!
Tumblr media
being a celebrity's housewife was something that you never saw for yourself. especially to the beautiful blue eyed, sandy brown haired angel on earth that you got to call your husband.
of course, you still did work remotely for the marketing firm you'd worked for for years. you loved your job, and getting to work from home was even better for you. this allowed to travel with austin while he was on location for work, getting to spend time with him and explore some of the most beautiful places in the world.
you were with him in sydney while he was filming elvis, london while he was filming masters of the air, and budapest while he was filming dune.
now, you and him had a cute little rental home in the suburbs of cincinnati while he was working on his next film, the bikeriders.
shortly after you arrived in ohio, you and austin settled into your routine pretty quickly. you would get up to have breakfast together before austin would leave to head to set. while you were at home during the day, you would work your hours in the morning, and once you were done, you would run errands around town. the first few days, you were exploring as much as you could to find restaurants and coffee shops, and other local places that you would make mental notes of to take austin to on his days off.
about once a week, you would join austin on set for a quick lunch when he had particularly lighter days and was only filming a few scenes.
"god, you're handsome." you said softly, watching as he started to slip back into his costume before having to go back to film. "i really like this rugged look." you said, placing your hands on the lapels of his jacket. he smiled down at you and pressed a soft kiss to your lips, the scruff of his mustache tickling your nose. he wrapped his arms tightly around your waist as you deepened the kiss. your moment was quickly interrupted by a knock on his trailer door, his PA calling him back to set.
“i guess i better get back.” he said with a deep sigh. “i shouldn’t be home too late tonight.” he said, kissing you again.
“no worries. ill see you when you get home.” you said with a smile. you walked with him out of his trailer and back to set, saying a quick hi to everyone before sharing your goodbyes with austin.
“i love you.” he said softly as his lips met yours.
“i love you too.” you said with a smile, kissing him again. you let him get back to work before heading back to your car to make your way back home.
while you waited for austin to come home, you started to make a plan for dinner. deciding on a simple meal, you ran to the grocery to store to pick up your ingredients, immediately starting to cook once you returned home. you turned on some music and got lost in your own little world while you danced and sang around the kitchen.
you were so distracted by the music that you didn’t hear when austin came in, kicking off his shoes and setting his bags down by the door. he stood at the edge of the counter, watching you dance, his heart swelling in his chest at the sight of his beautiful wife. he was obsessed with you, in every way.
you finally turned around and your eyes landed on his. your heart jumped, startling at the sight of him, but you quickly melted in his gaze. you moved over to him and he wrapped you in his arms, spinning you around the kitchen, quietly singing along to the words of the love song that played.
“dinners almost ready.” you said, pressing your lips to his. he nodded and let you go, moving to take his things to the bedroom. he came back into the kitchen and started setting the table. the two of you moved around the kitchen quietly while you prepared to eat. you poured two glasses of wine and sat down with austin to start eating.
you listened intently as he talked about his day. he told you about the scenes he filmed and how well everything was coming together. they were almost finished filming the movie, and he was excited that they were close to being able to release it.
“im excited to see it! you always come home raving about your scenes and the people you get to work with. im sure that will come across in the final product.”
“i just never thought id get to this point of my career, where i’ve been able to work with people that i’ve admired since i was just starting out. im still honestly kinda start struck every day.” he admitted, a redness rushing to his cheeks.
“you’re a superstar, babe. you deserve this. and im so proud of you.” you said, and he smiled widely at you.
“i cant tell you how much your support means to me. you’ve always been here for me, and i love that get to share this life with you.” he said taking your hand in his.
“this is for life. through thick and thin.” you said, running your thumb over his wedding band. “i love you.”
“i love you.” he repeated, leaning over to press a kiss to your cheek. “for life.”
you finished dinner and cleaned up the kitchen, settling into the couch once you finished. you watched as austin scrolled through the tv, searching for a movie to watch. you leaned deep into the cushions, tightening your arms around austin as he leaned his back into your chest as the movie started.
you sat there watching the movie, and after a while, your fingers mindlessly began playing with austin’s hair.
“mmm, thats gonna put me to sleep.” he laughed. you looked down at him and his eyes were already starting to fall closed.
“movie’s almost done, we’ll go to bed afterwards.” you said, pressing a kiss to the top of his head.
as the film concluded, you muted the tv before the credits started, knowing the music would be loud. austin had fallen asleep in your arms and you didn’t want to jolt him awake.
“aus, babe. the movie is done. let’s go to bed.” you said as you pushed him up. he sat up slowly and he swayed away from you, catching his balance before standing off the couch. he stretched his arms out as far as they could reach and let out a loud groan. you stared up at him, watching his every move. your eyes landed on the frame of his face, his facial hair glowing in the dim light of the living room.
“what? why are you looking at me like that?” he slurred, eyes barely open.
“i just think you’re really pretty.” you smiled.
“i think you’re prettier.” he said, leaning down to press a kiss to your lips. he laced his fingers with yours and pulled you up from the couch, leading you off to the bedroom.

heartbeat prompt 28 for austin? 😍
Literally can’t tell you how sorry I am that this took me checks calendar five months to write and finish. Thank you for requesting ❤️ to see more prompts from this particular list click here. To send me a request please click here. To see my masterlist please click here. Thank you :)
plot: based on no. 28 of this post: “"I love hearing your heart racing like this for me." / you work at the SNL studios and it is December 2022. Austin has arrived to practice for the week to host the holiday show and you two are getting busy in a dressing room. Happy Holidays! 💋

Tumblr media
He had his head against your breast. Or at least that’s what it had felt like. You were both basking in the aftermath of one explicitly rated endeavor, in your dressing room, hidden far away from everyone else on a couch.
The two of you had been screwing around for some time - but you lived and worked out of New York City. Geographically, it hadn’t been the easiest of things to figure out. Austin was this up and coming movie star, his success with Elvis that summer had been unlike anything you’d witnessed before and it had kept him as busy as ever.
But you’d pulled some strings and Lorne Michaels said he’d be thrilled to have someone who had so much publicity going around him that summer to host the final Saturday Night Live episode of the year, and especially the holiday show! You were excited beyond belief and couldn’t wait to share the news with Austin, although it had to come from his agency first.
Once he’d landed in New York it hadn’t taken him long to get to your dressing room.
“Wait, what about your girl-“ he cut you off as he placed a hand on your arm. “We’re on a break,” he murmured. His cologne made you want to sneeze a little but you didn’t. You laid back against the couch and took him in. His sparkly blue eyes captivated you, swallowing you wholly, as if you could get sucked into them like waves on a beach carrying you far, far away. “My God, you’re beautiful,” he whispered, looking at you the same way you were admiring him.
It took mere seconds for him to lean in and press his lips to yours, the heat rising between both of you. You could tell instantaneously that he was growing beneath you, he kept attempting to grab at himself. “Baby, let me take care of you,” you whispered, moving your hands to his jeans and unzipping them carefully. Light eyelashes fluttered open as his blue eyes darkened some and settled on your face. You ran your free hand through his hair, feeling sweat at the base of his neck and scratched down his back gently. You nodded once or twice to let him know. “Go ahead,” you mouthed. Long and slender fingers peeled away your leggings and slipped off anything underneath them. Hot breath and warm lips sent shivers to your lower stomach and pelvic area as he kissed down your legs and reached your inner thighs.
“I don’t care how you have me, just take me,” you finally moaned, feeling the pressure between your own legs intensify unbelievably. “Baby girl, give me a minute to warm you up.” That damned Southern drawl had stuck around - good thing too because it’d be written into a sketch or two. “Austin Robert,” you breathed, your heart galloping along harder and harder until you weren’t sure whether you’d survive the next thing the man before you would do. “Don’t full name me, I’m trying to give you your gift.” You nearly scoffed. “Sex is my -“ you paused, your breath hitching and your heart jumping inside you.
His lips had reached your center and he began moving his tongue teasingly. It was already too much for you and it had barely begun. “Oh,” you breathed quickly, hoping you didn’t come too quickly. You could feel the arousal pooling in your lower stomach and your hand instinctively moved there until his did and moved your own aside. Austin’s fingertips rubbed gently and he could almost swear he’d been able to feel you. He sat back for a moment to wiggle off his underwear and open a condom with his teeth before sliding it over himself. “God, you’re so hot,” you breathed, reaching up to pull off his shirt. Smooth skin. Abs that you could see if you looked for them but could mostly feel with your fingertips. And strong arms. “You look so good,” you breathed again. “You do too, baby love,” he murmured before leaning back down.
He kissed and kissed everywhere he possibly could. Your face, your neck, your arms, your chest, your stomach, that damned lower stomach area that he knew would drive you absolutely wild. “Ready for me?” Austin whispered against your ear. “Yes,” you confirmed and closed your eyes, moaning softly once he’d entered. Your hips began to move rhythmically - part of you sad that he’d chosen to wear the condom in the first place, but you knew it was smart to be responsible. You wanted to feel him in every inch of you and you could now. You could feel him in your toes, your legs, your abdomen, your chest, your head. You weren’t sure how your heart hadn’t managed to escape your chest by that point but it still beat furiously inside you.
His breathing was unsteady above you and you moved a hand to his chest, smiling to yourself as you felt the unstable rhythm of his own heartbeat through his skin and if you’d had your eyes opened, you probably could’ve viewed it too. “Pace yourself,” you thought to both yourself and Austin - but you didn’t dare say it. Didn’t want him to stop. Never, ever stop. “Baby, harder,” you instructed. He viewed you as this fragile being, you knew. But you weren’t fragile. You were wild, and horny and hungry for him - you had been for weeks and you were finally getting your fill, literally. Austin bucked his hips harder against yours, stifling a moan. You pressed your hand against his chest, feeling his pulse quicken somehow after going harder. “I’m going to come,” you finally murmured and you did - your eyes rolling back some into your head. Austin had too.
Which brings you back to the beginning. You’re both on the couch, his head is resting on your chest. “I love hearing your heart racing like this for me,” he murmurs drowsily. “My heart?” You asked with the smallest of giggles. “I felt yours during it. It was the most exhilarating and amazing thing I’ve ever felt, Aus.” Your fingers threaded through his blonde hair, that had become darker with sweat. He turned his head some to press a gentle kiss to your chest once or twice. “I’m pretty sure it’s yours,” Austin confirmed, lifting his head a little to look at you and to press another soft kiss to your lips. “Does that mean there’ll be a round two?” You asked, raising an eyebrow. “Mhm,” the blonde man murmured. “Always gonna be a round two for us,” Austin agreed.
