Imagine being a rampant misogynist and then "gifting" your intellectual property to the public domain under the guise of "keeping it out of the hands of bad people" and then being surprised when people (esp women) assume the crime of those "bad people" was an intention to diversify the story 🤔🤨 I want to see the emails.

Rock Trolls shouldn't of been the ones to want to "unite" everyone by making everyone the same as them
said this earlier on twitter but seems easier to say/explain on tumblr idk why anyway
on twitter i said:
"can i speak for a second and say I wish in the second movie it wasn't the rock trolls trying to make everyone the same? its exactly what punk irl isn't about (rock came from punk)
idk, I feel it could've been more interesting too if it was a diff type"
(i think some of the things i said there was incorrect like rock coming from punk but who knows i get my timelines mixed up sometimes LOL if that is incorrect ignore i sowy) anyway
i was thinking abt that again bc i think its interesting and like... to talk about it more here like- hm... idk
(click read more or something if you're genuinely interested in this lol)
i wish in the second trolls movie that the rock trolls was not the ones to be trying to make everyone the same as them, i can't begin to describe that is the entire opposite of what "rock" really is, or at least the type of rock they was displaying is the opposite of what it is
they was leaning a bit into the "punk rock" typa vibe with them due to their designs and such, the music not so much but design wise they feel like they lean towards punk rock, and if thats the case we can assume that "rock" in the movie also encapsulates "punk"
so with that being said it bugs me just a tad bit, that rock of all of them was used to be the ones to be like "we want to make everyone like us! make everyone the same to unite us!" bc thats so far from what actual punk is, in fact the whole thing about punk is to go against authority and express ourselves (yk, our differences)
ik im probably nitpicking a bit but i grew up with a punk for a dad (as in he was literally around when punk was formed, 1970's) LOL, its been apart of my life it is apart of my life so i know a bit about punk culture and what they stand for
SO IDK at the end of the day i dont really care, its a kids movie and i can see by default why they chose rock out of their options to be such a role for the movie, but idk! it just makes me a wee tiny intsy bit :( as punk literally does not stand for uniformity, it fights against systems that wants us to all be the same, it fights for individualism
but w/e, punk has that "aesthetic" that makes it easy to be like "wow theyre intense" bc visually they can be intense LOL, they're also easy to paint as """the bad guys""" due to their aesthetic (big quotes around the bad guys as more near the end as we know barb wasnt really trying to be evil, nor in general are the rock trolls aggressive and/or evil inherently)
anyway to end this off i love barb and i love the rock trolls, theyre so awesome i wish we had more time to develop barb a little bit more felt like she didnt get the screentime she deserved imo, live laugh love barb i dont express my adoration for her enough
if i delete this sorry i got anxious i dont expect this to get attention but if it does (positive or negative) im going to delete it (i have bad social anxiety)
soz if you did find this interesting and i delete it blehh

i think i've figured out why vanilla rain world and downpour feel so different to me
vanilla rain world is primarily a survival game with some metroidvania elements, and downpour is primarily a metroidvania with survival elements
neither one is better than the other inherently, they are similar but different experiences that cater to different audiences with different tastes in gaming

"Hello! I have noticed a [discrepancy]. You appear to be a fox, but your [structure] is composed in a way I have not seen before. You have two [tails], when one is typically expected. Can you explain this discrepancy?" (from webmaster!)
Big and sentient computer screen...
...Yeah, sure. Why not.
The other's questions, though blunt, are far from misunderstood. It's like seeing a guy with a third arm, you'd rightfully be curious as to how they came into possession of a thing like that. It's... a bit of a touchy subject for the young one, but the inventor wasn't one to shut down curiosity. It seemed innocent enough, at least. He'd answer it in kind.
In response, his twin namesakes are lifted up behind him for the world to see. They give a flick, they give a wave. "Explain it? Um... I'm not quite sure I can explain it. Just a luck of the draw, I think." Luck was a rather kind way to put it, but that was beside the point. "The odds should be one in a billion, genetically speaking. But it's, uh... well. It's a mutation, plain and simple.
It has to be hereditary, I was born with two instead of one. Either that or it's from environmental influence while I was being born. Kinda can't give you any intel on that part, though. Don't really remember where my parents lived before I was around." Hm. It wasn't a lie, but it wasn't the full truth either. He didn't remember anything about his parents, but 'remember' insinuates that you forgot. That there was once a time when you did know.
He never knew to begin with.
"—But hey, it's not all bad! I've got a pretty neat trick I can do with'em!" It was time to forcibly ignore all of that, now. A trying smile is ushered forth onto the fox's face as twin tails whip and straighten. They move, they shift and contort the air about the space. Faster, yet faster still are their rotations. It's the turn of ignition, the spinning of propellers about to give a biplane liftoff. Then, they rise once more, building up speed overhead with the thrill of helicopter blades wavering grass and dust alike!
It's a whirring cyclone of yellow and white streaks, they twirl to speeds unfathomable! ...At least, far beyond what any one organic creature should be able to produce with the waggling of their tail. But here, it's double the rotations, double the speed, and double the power! It's at that point that the kit lowers with a crouch. Legs give a push... and the body gives a jump!
Up into the air, what goes up must come down... Right?
Wrong. It's sustained flight, it's a high-flying fox.
A sky fox, if you will~. Reinventing the realm of what is and isn't impossible.
"Ta-da~." Jazz hands.

Indian Smooth Otter
Lutrogale perspicillata
The Indian Smooth Otter occurs throughout most of India. It differs from the common otter in its slightly smaller size, some skull characters, and its sleek coat which lacks the grizzling. Its habits are similar to those of the common otter and it feeds chiefly on fish, frogs, and crustaceans.

NOTE: The RBY paletee is still basically defunct as the influence of digital art and home printing make CMYK almost universal anyway. Which is nice, because as a kid CMYK was used in exactly 2 places: prepping books/magazines for print, and stage lighting.
It's a vastly better system than RBY in almost all cases, excpet when you want to do a canvas painting with Older Pigment Paints, not even the contemporary stuff. It's popular now mostly for its undeniable historical and restoration value. Can't restore an RBY painting using CMYK colour theory, you'll ruin it.
Also, I'm posting this partially for educational and partially leftist reasons, but also, partially, to tell this story again.
My sibling and I are at a family friend's. The friend and I are talking color: LEDs, the difficulty in making orange look right on many screens, magenta as not corresponding to a wavelength, and so forth.
I don't remember how it came up exactly, but I bring up the thing about RGB being opposites of CMY. (In computer terms.)
My sibling gets very, very quiet for several minutes. Then, our of nowhere, after the friend and I had moved on to talking about... cats? Knitting? Childrearing practices? My sibling shoves their phone in my face and screams "SEE, YOU'RE WRONG, RED AND GREEN ARE OPPOSITES!"
(They had a six section color wheel up on their screen.)
It was such a bizarre and needlessly hostile interaction that to this day I'm like ??? What are you trying to prove here exactly?

anyways on a more positive note than earlier some rando helped me find my class (we’re a week in already so that was just nice of him), a girl laughed at my self-aware absent-mindedness (2 hours of sleep babee), people sat directly next to me which is strange to remark but it’s not common in my experience with new classes. and I think I became my art history prof’s teacher’s pet.
it’s wack I feel like I’m tricking people into thinking I’m normal (I just wore makeup and nicer clothes) and not about to look like shit next class. I sometimes wear button ups for men, do they know that???
