Spotify Wrapped Fic Meme, 42, Bahorel and Enjolras XD?

(I know this is literally from Jan 2022, but I needed the time to get this right.)

"Cherry Wine" by Hozier, Bahorel/Enjolras

Enjolras has claimed Bahorel for the revolution.

Before Enjolras, Bahorel had always, of course, had radical political leanings — how could one look the current government in the eye and not? Before Enjolras, however, Bahorel had been more of a backseat radical. A computer chair troll stoking the fires of meaningless discourse, a kid with a smarmy grin wearing a political t-shirt sure to get him kicked out of class early. Politics were his weapon of choice against society.

Enjolras had agreed that society was the enemy, then showed him how to hone his politics to change it.

Bahorel isn’t like Grantaire: Enjolras isn’t some distant ideal. Enjolras is real and fierce, gaze icy and words burning, touch capable of equal gentleness or brutality, a mess of contradictions that leaves Bahorel equally reeling and needing more.

When word reaches them of Senator Lamarque’s death, Bahorel already knows that his fate is sealed.

honestly reading this part of the brick is basically reading a list of headcannons off tumblr but i digress

Enjolras

…a charming young man who was capable of being a terror.

- essentially both a nerd and a jock

- very very pretty

- cares about justice, not women

- his speech can be harsh and intense

Combeferre

He was learned and a purist, precise, eclectic, hard-thinking, and at the same time imaginative ‘to the point of fantasy’, his friends said.

- very close with Enjolras, and really balances his out

- believes that education is really important in society

- gentle, and while he could fight would rather not

Jehan

Jean Prouvaire was a lover; he cherished a pot of flowers, played the flute, wrote verses, loved the people…

- learned Italian, Latin, Greek, and Hebrew to be able to read poetry

- likes to walk through meadows of wild flowers

- he likes to contemplate social issues and the immensity of the heavens

- kind in a way that kindness is like greatness

Feuilly

It’s been a week since his and Joly’s exchange, and the conversation returns to Enjolras at the strangest times, and never the ones he expects. When he sees the awful, awful potholder Bahorel made when he was first getting into Zero Waste on Combeferre’s table. When a girl in one of Enjolras’s grad classes starts talking her way through a nuanced political point she clearly knows nothing about. When he sees a sign outside of the bodega near his flat that chili is half-off. When he’s watching a documentary about microplastics.

Is Enjolras satisfied with his and Bahorel's arrangement?
