hi gina :) i was thinking about this and i wanted to share it with you. i was talking to my friend the other day about larry, and how larry is not meant for everyone. years ago when i entered the fandom, i was sooo obsessed with harry and i knew absolutely nothing about larry. i didn’t even know that larry was a thing. inevitably, when i did find out about it, i was definitely taken aback by it. but i still kept an open mind about everything. i did my research and four years later, i am still a larrie and my opinions have only grown stronger. i feel like some of these solo stans want to see themselves in harry’s ‘gfs’ so they ignore larry and the possibility of him being gay/queer. i will admit that at first i did get pulled into the delusion of harry getting with fans (townes) and i liked that i felt like that could happen to me. though that delusion was VERY short lived and i came to my senses after i found out about larry (and realistically, this is real life and not a wattpad fan fiction). the music industry and closeting is a very complex thing and some people just can’t seem to grasp how cruel the world can actually be. for a while, i actually believed louis was a father because i never looked into it due to people deeming it ‘disrespectful.’ once i actually looked into it, i saw immediately right through it and my opinion has not changed since then. the reason i am a larrie, even through all of the denials and stunts is because i did my research and i have a full and complete understanding of closeting, the stunts, babygate, etc. even if they for some unknown reason decide to split in the future, that will not change the fact that they were at least together at some point and that louis is not a father. he could blab about the kid allll he wants and there will not be a single moment where i believe a word he says. the people that get it, get it, and the people that don’t, don’t.

Yes, I agree with you. I really think there are so many fans who look at things the way you once did and don't want to dig into the facts and have their fantasies ruined. It's really sad to me, but I'm just done fighting about it.

These days, I'm here for the music, my friends, the fics/writing, and to know tour info so I can get tickets. Once upon a time, in addition to all of that, proving that Larry was real, fighting for Harry and Louis to know they were supported, and hoping a coming out was around the corner were all major reasons I was in this fandom. Things change. Fandom is very different now. I'm not interested in stubbornly holding on to something that doesn't exist anymore.

None of that means Harry and Louis aren't together or never were. It just means that their love story isn't the main focus for me these days. And that's because they no longer seem to want it to be.

I chose this quote for episode two as my favorite because it sheds light on the fact that Louis has to still deal with racist and micro aggressive remarks from people around him, including his own lover, after being turned. All that talking Lestat did about leaving a life of shame and being superior to regular humans once they got back into the real world because at the end of the day, Louis is still a Black man in the Jim Crow south. He's being disrespected at every turn and the one person who said none of it mattered has shown a bit of his true colors as well.

This was a needed line because too many people think any form or lick of power will make you a God, when it's a lot more nuance to that.

“Good afternoon, everyone! Today we are here actor and actress Finn Wolfhard and (Y/N) (Y/L/N)!” The crowd cheered loudly, making them both grin bashfully as they appeared on stage. They waved gratefully and blew little kisses towards the crowd.

After a few more minutes of greetings, the journalist grabbed a pile of flash cards, stacking them together.

The camera panned over to (Y/N)‘s face as the interviewer began to speak, "Let’s start with you first, (Y/N). We've all heard about the breakup from a while ago, I mean it's everywhere. This is like a- a tragedy, am I right?" The audience laughed, the actress only nodding her head at the comment. "I mean, not only did you fall in love with Louis on the set, which by the way, it’s the biggest mistake an actress can make."

She took a deep breath, making sure to think before she spoke. "I mean there was nothing I could really do." She looked down for a second, not being able to get a lot words out. Finn hesitated on grabbing her hand, not wanting people to speculate anything.

“Can you tell us more about the break up?” The interview questioned again.

"Well for days at a time, I felt numb. Every day got harder, and the days felt longer. I felt alone in a room full of people. It felt like a battery inside of me was . . . running low, I guess you could say."

"I see you're not taking this situation lightly!" He laughed again, not taking her statement as seriously as he should have. "And how are you feeling at this very moment?"

"Dumb," She muttered out.

“Like I said, falling in love with your co star is a huge mistake." Tears slowly slid down her face, "I don't want to talk about it, I'm sorry."

The man continued to chuckle at her vulnerability, “Well this is an interview, so I’m supposed to ask these types of questions. Now, do you have anything to say to Louis right now?”

Finn was quick to step in this time, “She clearly said that she didn’t want to talk about it.”

“Finn, it’s fine!” (Y/N) chimed in, not wanting the situation to get out of hand. “No, it’s not fine! Do you know what no means?” He continued to yell at the interviewer.

The actress grabbed his hand and made him face her, “It’s okay, i’m alright.” She reassured him. The two were quick to leave the interview, not wasting another minute.

“Do you think people are on to us?” (Y/N) asked in the car, breaking off the uncomfortable silence.

“I don’t really care anymore, honestly. I want to tell the world that you’re mine.”

You smiled at his words, “I would love that.”

Bad Day!!!!

 “I’m trying to find a gallery to host an art exhibition for a graduate with my own master’s degree, but I still can’t find it.  Even though this exhibition will be held at the beginning of next month!”

"Damn it! Doing things by oneself is really tiring," Sansa, a twenty-six-year-old young female graduate student, murmured about the situation she was in.

London, a beautiful city, is a dream place for many people, and Sansa is another resident of this city, her hometown. In fact, the young woman had only been back in London for two years, having studied in America at the age of seventeen before returning to pursue a master's degree in England again. After being away for so long!

At present, Sansa is about to graduate with a master's degree within the next month. However, before she could finish, She must organize an art exhibition for her graduation, and it's been almost a month now!

She hasn't been able to find a gallery to showcase her work yet, probably because this is the art festival season held all over London throughout the month. This makes it very difficult for Sansa to find good galleries, as everyone needs a place to display their work!

Sansa thought… this would be the end for her!

The girl picked up her favorite headphones and put them on, selecting her personal playlist. Her right arm held a drawing board, and her left arm carried a bag filled with books that she had just stopped by to buy.

Adding to her own chaos, she picked up her favorite book, which she hadn't finished reading yet, while on a trip to her favorite restaurant in Soho, central London. She is living in her own world, cutting off the chaos from her surroundings—a world full of music, literature, and pleasure that she easily finds from the letters in front.

Sansa stopped in front of Mr. Louis' shop, located on the corner of Soho Street. She always has a table that she likes to sit at—a wall-mounted table, the only one of its kind. Even though there is another table nearby, not too far apart, her table is the most private of all the tables in the restaurant. Miss Louise always prepared this table for she when she needed it.

'He is the kindest,' she admired the shop owner.

The young woman walked towards her usual table, ready to read books and listen to music. She doesn't usually pay much attention to her surroundings, tending to only care about things that she wants to care about. Everything else is just the air or atmosphere around her.

She placed a drawing board next to the wall, always choosing to sit in the chair on the left. Checking, putting away her headphones, and hanging her bag next to the chair, she picked up the book she had left reading, placing it on the table to wait for further reading.

Sansa noticed that at the table next to her, there was a group of people sitting, but she didn't care much about them. She even got annoyed because she felt a little uncomfortable not being able to sit in private in this area alone.

Before Mr. Louis walked in to welcome her,

"Hello, Sansa," he smiled at the girl as always.

"Hello, Miss Louis."

"How are you today?"

Ah, the expression on her face probably says it all.

"Pretty bad. Many things are not in my favor today," she replied with a sad expression.

"Oh, is there anything in this store that will help you feel better? Do you want it as usual?"

She smiled back at the man around her father’s age who owned the shop.

"Then I’d like a cheeseburger as usual. This time, I’d like something juicy, and I’d like a chocolate milkshake with cheese," she said, winking at him like a close friend.

Sansa really likes the cheeseburgers here. They're so delicious you’ll be begging for you life!

"Sure. I’ll inform the chef to prepare a cheeseburger. The juiciest and most special for you. Wait twenty to thirty minutes, and in a moment, we’ll bring you a milkshake."

"Thank you,"

she thought, even though today was a bad day! At least, she got to eat something delicious to comfort herself!

After finishing ordering food, Sansa picked up the book and continued reading. She likes to read books very much. It’s like it’s her thirty-third organ. The more she reads, the more she enjoys the story. Books often make her feel like she’s immersed in the writing.

"Hello,"

Sansa looked up slightly at the owner of the voice.

"Hello," she replied and continued reading!

"I’m Tom."

The young man introduced himself. Sansa looked up at him again. Tom is considered to be a good-looking man, and his demeanor seems like that of a good-natured person.

She smiled at him but didn’t reply. Pretty bad manners, right? But yes! Sansa doesn’t want to continue talking to Tom. She just wanted to read a book quietly, only by herself!

“What is your name?”

Damn it! She thought, these men! You really are such a pushover. Sigh!… She probably have to respond politely.

“Sansa.”

“I saw you walking with a drawing board. Are you an artist, Sansa?”

“I’m an art major.”

Before she lowered her head and continued reading her book. ‘Shit,’ She thought to herself. She’s not good at talking. It was always difficult for her.

“Oh…wow, that’s really great.” Tom didn’t seem to relent.

“I really want to see your work. Can I have your IG so I can follow your work?”

She thought for a moment before answering him,

“I’m sorry. I don’t use social media.”

Tom’s face looked disappointed. “Then can I have your number instead?”

What is this!? Sansa cursed in thought.

“I only have my personal number, and I still want it to be private. I can’t give it to you; I’m sorry.”

Tom’s face was now extremely disappointed. Before Tom got up, preparing to walk back to his table. “You are very beautiful.”

Tom turned around and spoke before walking away from her table…

Sansa didn’t feel a thing at the compliment. She just kept her head down and continued reading. Because this wasn’t the first time she had encountered a situation like this. And she really doesn’t like it!! From an event just a moment ago, this made she feel a bit uneasy after being interrupted from reading and made her not in the mood to read further.

The young woman took off her leather jacket before folding it thick, then put it on the back. Then, she took out the curling iron, shook and spread it around before leaning back in the chair and relaxing. She raised her face to the soft afternoon sunlight, took a deep breath, and closed her eyes… picking up the book and putting it down to rest her eyes from the light that shines in. And now, her mind is calmer…

On another side, four young men were drinking coffee and talking about the job they had just interviewed for today.

“How was your film interview today, Cillian?” a fellow screenwriter asked, a forty-six-year-old young actor.

“Excellent,” he replied.

While Cillian was talking with his screenwriter friend Steve, his eyes caught sight of a woman! ‘Wow, what a beautiful woman!’

he thought. She had large, bright green eyes, long eyelashes, dark, well-lined eyebrows, a curved nose that complemented her sharp jaw, full, pink lips, slender and chubby. That sharp face fits perfectly with hair that is loosely tied. And there was a small tangled strand of hair. It fell down on her left cheek, making her look so strikingly beautiful that he had to turn and look!

Cillian saw her carrying a pile of things. One hand holding a book, another person holds a large chalkboard. She also had headphones over her ears. He noticed that she wasn't looking or paying attention to anything around her, and he thought that she should definitely come sit at the empty table next to his! Personally, he didn’t want anyone to sit at that table because it will give him and his friends more privacy.

But it’s okay!! It would be good if she came and sat. ‘Because she is quite beautiful.’ That made him feel somewhat satisfied.

The older male actor occasionally glanced at the unknown woman but didn’t pay much attention to her until a man walked up to her.

‘Is he going to be her boyfriend?’ Cillian thought.

His and hers’ tables were not too far apart, allowing him to hear their conversation. And from the conversation, Cillian then knew… that the young man just came to flirt with her. He was quite surprised at the young woman’s expression. Plus, she acted clearly bored. She could deny that young man almost every sentence. If he were that man, he would have given up.

Cillian was surprised when she said that she doesn’t use social media. It was strange for a woman her age that most people are addicted to social media. She refused to give the man her number with the most ingenious reason, he thought, ‘Her are very clever.’

Before he returned to chatting with his tablemates. But then… ‘Fuck?!’ She took off that black leather jacket! His and his tablemates’ eyes immediately turned towards her.

Damn it! He didn’t want to look at all, but he really couldn’t help but glance at the position of the girl and him. It makes the two of them look like they’re sitting next to each other, probably only an arm’s length apart. Making him see her clearly! Her skin is white and smooth, contrasting with the black strapless, making it even more interesting to look at. Her figure is just as beautiful, with her face, especially when she unwrapped her hair and spread it out.

‘Damn!’ he thought, this was one of the most beautiful pictures he had ever seen. Her side view was strikingly beautiful. Her nose was high and slender, sharply contrasting with her jaw. He swallowed. Can’t stop glancing at this beautiful young woman!!!

She stimulated him even more when he smelled a faint scent, soft and sweet. He had never smelled anything like this before.

It’s so mysteriously fascinating?

Cillian thought. This girl is quite interesting. Not from her face or figure, but it’s her personality that doesn’t seem to care about anything. She fell asleep in the middle of the restaurant, took the book and covered her face. It’s like there’s only her in this area. She didn’t even turn to look or pay attention to their table, which really made him feel at ease.

He’s starting to like her!!

I know it’s a personal preference thing but objectively Louis right now is so very sexy. He seems to be so much more confident in his skin and seems to be really enjoying his unattached “singleness”.

I think about these quotes from 2019:

I’ve been to rock bottom and I feel like, whatever my career’s going to throw in front of me, it’s going to be nothing as big or as emotionally heavy as that. So, weirdly, I’ve turned something that’s really dark into something that empowers me, makes me stronger.

Louis thought through these events as he lived them. This interview was done in the summer and published in September 2019, only a few months after Fizzy passed away (March 2019). Louis also performed for Hits Live Birmingham in May 2019.

Through it all, and even now in full arenas, we hear an underlying thread of gratitude and humility in Louis’ thoughts, in his behavior, in how strangers perceive him when they meet him. Louis stays grounded to his family and home. No matter how small or big his career gets, his values guide him, his principles allow him to make the right life decisions.

I’ve said it before and I’ll keep saying it. Louis is incredibly blessed in his appearance, but it’s his intelligence, kindness, and philosophy that make him so sexy. There’s a reason why some fans and their disrespectful theories can’t get to him. At the heart of all the manic madness, Louis knows who he is. He’s been in the darkness and he emerged a better man (+ a few broken bones). Louis is who he has always been, all along, only better and stronger.

In storytelling terms, one would say that Louis has lived a hero’s journey — a truly climactic epic, with very low lows, and now, a truly deserved high that feels earned. Louis’ willingness to undergo the trial by fire— his gratitude for the good things, his willingness to look into the face of the bad and take it on— is fucking sexy as fuck.

The person who can fully, visually captures the emotional weight of Louis’ journey has been Joshua Halling. Joshua’s ability to find the millisecond of revelation in a photo has completely conquered me. His portraits show Louis’ humanity, his wry humor, his various moods, his happiness and sadness, his sentimentality and resolve behind his very pretty face.

In every photograph, we see a real human being— not just an idol. There’s sparkle, laughter, and light. We see experience and tears. We see camaraderie, care. We see choices. Imagine being able to see the journey in one frame of one concert, yet we see it every time.

They’re a magical team. Louis chose good people. That’s also so sexy of him.

Some fans have developed a strange and toxic parasocial relationship with Louis where they think bullying and berating other fans is justified because they believe Louis’ will flows through their veins and he is this choleric character and a ticking time bomb who’s constantly disappointed about his fans’ behavior and needs those who get him go out there and spread his word or some crap. So very odd.

Of course, we all have our own relationship to Louis, but why not make it a healthy one? Why not fucking grow a pair and say “Fuck! It sucks for you Louis. Amazon really fucked that up! But hell you know us, we’ve pre-ordered that shit the second we saw it and we know you’re sooo happy we did that!”.

Seriously how can anyone blame fans? None of this is our fault?! If Louis is gutted, it’s about Amazon, maybe it’s because he missed the moment we went into euphoria about it, missed our first reaction, missed the chance to showcase it the way he intended. Maybe he had planned some cool revelation riddle mind games thingy that would have kept us busy for days, something to get the fandom together and all. I get why this could totally suck for Louis right now.

But also, it is not our fault. It’s like receiving a present too early, delivered to us by accident and here we are holding it in our hands, no way to unsee it. At least it is meant for us. It is for us to enjoy. No one should feel guilty because they did exactly what Louis hoped for, what Louis intended - and that is for us getting excited and pre-ordering it by thousands.

Okay so it's probably been said before but it's been rattling around my head, there's a lot of talk about how can louis ever forgive lestat and how can they ever be endgame after the dv of ep 5, but I think that's the point? These 2 are disgusting to one another but they end up together anyway, the bond, their love, transcends mortal morals. One beat the other, one murdered the other(i dont see this second one brought up half as much as i should), as humans we cannot begin to understand how to get past that and for me it's okay.

Perhaps we just have to trust the characters to make their own choices and remember when consuming this type of media monsters are inherently different, they don't follow the same thought process like we do, no matter that louis seems to, he's still one of those monsters at the end of the day!

I'll stop rambling now, that's probably not even coherent 😂

Well... the show (or Louis!) did their/his damnest to make sure that Lestat's killing was justified. :)) And that right there is the crux of it all I think, and that which Daniel has already started to call out in the last episode... it... probably?^^... wasn't. And in the book Louis slowly came to realize that and HERE he also had a few decades to reflect. (Totally apart from Armand.) And yes, for us as humans... this is likely not a relationship that could be saved. But then anyone with a cut throat probably is beyond saving already, and a beating like that, and a fall like that. Oh, and killing every night. You know. But they are vampires. And eternally connected, yes. And that does, totally apart from what we've been shown, change things. Louis can forgive Lestat imho (eventually) because he

a) will learn a few harsh truths still and

b) will learn a lot about the whys of Lestat's behavior. Even if he didn't... (how do I put it) embellish there for reasons.

As the audience will, too. As the book readers did, too. The show is simply following the books here, and I for one really wouldn't worry^^. None of the vampires in the Vampire Chronicles are saints... not even Louis, even though Lestat calls him that. He almost killed Daniel back then for being "disrespectful" (and Armand stopped him lol). Just sayin' :) And yes - art (any kind) is meant to challenge us. Too often in modern media it is all neatly put into boxes already, no thought processes needed. Easy peasy. 'Here's your moralistic summary, now go and be a good boy.' This show is - luckily - different. And if they continue to follow the books - they will continue to be.

(Thoughts) CH 116 Summary

For the most part is consistent with the novel. Novel ver in particular: Brief mention of Lehan. After he visited Lari without permission and found her seaside home in the port town, he’s been visiting her here and there. He knows he’s not welcome, but he still hangs out with her.

I assume despite saying she doesn’t want to see him anymore, Lari is a kind soul who forgives him soon and lets him hang out with her on his days off. To be honest, I didn’t like how Lari “forgave” Lehan so easily, especially after that giant betrayal. I know Lari is a kind soul, but COME ON, you can be angrier?? :(((

MEANWHILE the Manhwa version: Despite Lari telling him to go away, she doesn't want to associate with him, he flat out ignores her. Lehan keeps on sneakily gifting her money, dresses, shoes, gloves etc. Lari knows it’s him, because who else knows her location?? One day she catches him in the act and yells at him to stop - and he’s actually BLUSHING when she says that she knows its him - because again, he’s the only one know knows her location - and is super pleased and blushes at that fact. She tries to return ALL the items as she doesnt want or need them, but he caresses her cheek and says it’s all for her, (he won’t accept returns). Lari slaps his hand away, and repeats, they aren’t family any more, they have no relationship. Lehan dares to announce, with a kiss of her hand, that he wants to start their relationship from the beginning/redo it all. But Lari pulls her hand away and tells him to LEAVE NOW. Yet he says he’ll come again. and She says don’t come back as he thrusts the bouquet of flowers in her arms and runs off before she can yell at him no again.

Some time later, we can see him playing with Lari and the villager kid as the dress up doll with ribbons in his hair and a pearl necklace. Lari, stifling a laugh, says it’s (punishment) because he came even though she told him not to. Lehan says it’s because he sent so many letters, yet she ignored them all. Lari emphasizes because she doesn’t have to reply to them if she doesn’t want to. Lehan says it’s ok, because that gives him an excuse to visit her then. He checks the time and has to go, and tells Lari he’ll be back again when she isn’t tutoring the kid, and again, Lari tells him to don’t come back and is pretty upset about it.

— Thoughts … OK not going to lie, although I wanted Lari to reject Lehan more in the novel version, the manhwa version is absolutely disgusting. Lehan is doing whatever he wants, without any regard for what LARI wants. He’s completely gaslighting her Bellua style, and twists her words to fit what HE wants. She doesn’t want any relationship with him - they’re strangers, yet he interprets it as it’s a good time to start anew, with him being obvious and clear with his feelings. She’s a girl on her own, so she MUST obviously want dresses and accessories and more funds, right? She loves flowers, so here’s a nice bouquet of his favorite flowers.

I think this is intentional, but early on in the series when Lari visits Lehan at the opening ceremony, Lari remembers that Lehan likes yellow daffodils, and when she bought them at a fancy florist shop, she also chose a brown ribbon because it goes along with his hair/as House Bellua. He gifts her the same bouquet from a florist here (how i interpret it). This is absolutely crazy, because he’s gifting her HIS favorite flowers, and a ribbon of HOUSE BELLUA. The guy completely forgot that episode at the night market in CH 73 ish, where he, Lari, and Riche went and visited Louis’ stall with the wildflowers. He also never noticed she liked wildflowers in general. He didn’t consider giving her what she wanted - she prefers the wildflowers on the side of the road more than perfectly manicured flowers grown in greenhouses.

I just CANNOT with the amount of disrespect he’s showing her. It’s all what HE wants to do for her. It’s completely one-sided. He thinks she NEEDS/WANTs these things, and is being macho and gifting them to her. He thinks she’s playing hard to get or something, and won’t take no for an answer. He doesn’t register at all how upset and uncomfortable she is when he ignores her. He’s so annoying and is just an obsessive stalker at this point.

Again, the manhwa expands on the brief novel scenes. Again, I think it’s done purposely to compare him to Rupert. While Lehan has been requesting breaks often to go visit Lari, Rupert’s seething in jealousy because he can’t visit her. Well, technically he can be just like Lehan and barge in without consent, but Rupert is stuck because he’s respecting her last wish: which is not to see him again. It’s the same thing she told Lehan - she doesn’t want to see either one of them again. Yet Lehan completely ignores it, and is getting drunk on his affections, while Rupert is still miserable as ever without her :( It’s so annoying when Lehan says basically “lol Rupert’s so obvious that he misses her” >_>;;; like why are you rubbing it in? YOU’RE THE ONE WHO CAUSED THIS MESS BY MAKING HER DOUBT RUPERT.

Im so glad they included a panel of the leaf (from chapter 62!). He misses her so muchhhhhh.

Regarding the wildflowers: While Lehan gifts her HIS favorite flower, Rupert knows full well Lari likes wildflowers after watching over her for so long, and had already changed the garden in front of the main palace to have common wildflowers she’ll like - because she’ll be happy to see them if she ever returns :( (novel detail). Also, CUTE DETAIL where the light in Rupert’s eyes have returned, even just by watching Lari from afar and knowing she’s safe and well. :)) —- last detail: in the novel there’s a mini-joke where Lehan and Louis look pitifully at Rupert because it’s so obvious he misses her that he stalks her from afar like this, and he does this for a few months. BUT HERE, in the manhwa, Lehan’s stalking is just so so bad and creepy that it makes Rupert’s stalking look tame in comparison. At least Rupert is still respecting her wishes, and not ignoring everything she says >:( Ch 117 is the last chapter of season 3….

My opinion on the context behind Louis and Armand in Polynesian Mary's was more or less the same as what you mentioned, but tbh I AM curious as to why Armand possibly (and likely suddenly then) decided to save Daniel from Louis by stopping him from killing Daniel outright. I could easily see Armand say the same things he said to Daniel when Daniel stumbled across Lestat's old sleeping grounds in Devil's Minion (that he can take his tapes, that no one will believe him anyway), as a means to scare him off at first, but I do wonder why Armand suddenly decided to not only momentarily spare Daniel then but also go against Louis in order to save him from immediate death 🤔. I can't imagine Armand caring much for Louis' victims, or for people in general, so the fact that he still decided to save Daniel's life then seems significant, even if he did it without much thought as to why.

At the moment, this is all something I can only go with what we saw happen in the books as to why Armand decided to save Daniel's life from Louis that night. And that is actually because Daniel intrigued Armand.

Now first off, in the book, what happened was that Louis did drink from Daniel in that attack. He drank from Daniel and left him for dead, but Daniel didn't die. Daniel wakes up from it all hours later, Louis now long gone. (The 1994 movie changed it to Louis just attacking Daniel without drinking from him). Daniel then makes his plan to go and find Lestat.

Now, what the show could do is have Louis drink Daniel to the same point as in the books, but have Armand be the one to stop him from fully killing Daniel.

Because, in truth, it's kind of a retcon - in the books - that Louis didn't drink from Daniel and kill him because "the little drink" was something Louis was completely incapable of doing to a human until his power upgrade in Merrick. Until then, Louis always killed his victim when he fed, because he never could not. He didn't have the strength not to.

But I don't think the show is really going to go with that anyway, since we saw Louis do "the little drink" from Damek just fine in EP2.

So the question still remains - why would Armand stop Louis from killing Daniel? And the only reason I can come up with is the exact same reason Armand didn't kill Daniel in the books at first:

Because Daniel knew his name. Daniel knew Armand's name was Armand.

And that very fact fascinated Armand. That someone knew his name, knew what he was, and wasn't dead.

Because, on the whole, it also doesn't really make sense that, in Queen of the Damned, Armand let Daniel go after locking him up for four days. Hell, locking Daniel up - and not just killing him outright after he'd heard the tapes and knew Daniel was making a book out of them - was a bit off at that point I'd say (it'd been almost a century since Armand had last had a human pet of that type by that point). Letting Daniel go, letting Daniel run, was even more off for him IMO.

But I think it's clear Daniel's defiance - demanding the Dark Gift from Armand, even in the face of likely being killed at that moment - intrigued Armand.

The fact that Daniel was adamant that he wouldn't go mad from knowing that vampires were real - that it was all true - also fascinated Armand.

And that final point, that Daniel knew Armand's name and was alive with that knowledge is what tipped things over into Armand deciding that he didn't want to kill Daniel. "Not right now."

In the end, Daniel piqued Armand's interest. That is what initially saved Daniel's life from Armand killing him in New Orleans when they first encountered each other in QotD.

And so, if I had to guess, I think that is probably also what is going to be what has Armand stopping Louis (who was only going to do so because he was angry/felt disrespected by Daniel's ask; before that he was very likely going to let Daniel go, so his interview with Daniel could be published and such) from killing Daniel on the show. That, maybe for the first time in forever, there was this human who not only wasn't afraid but also wasn't going crazy at the revelation of vampires being real. And not only that, he even dared to ask for the Dark Gift.

Heck, from what Louis said about it, Daniel kinda even demanded to be given it.

I can see that alone piquing Armand's interest in Daniel. Because I don't think it's a guess to think it hadn't happened with any other human that Louis had taken back to Divisadero street before.

Before Daniel, the only purpose of bringing humans back there IMO was for Louis to feed on them while they were high, and get high himself off their blood, in order to numb himself. Not casual sex with random hookups - though that probably still happened - and for sure not sitting down and telling his vampiric life story to an eager young journalist.

As to the whole thing about how Daniel would have learned Armand's name when Louis hadn't even gotten to the part of the story that introduced Armand in the show? I can see Louis saying Armand's name out loud when Armand stops him from killing Daniel or something. Very simple, very easy. And Daniel remembering it, even if he does pass out afterward or something.

And so there's that final point - Daniel knowing Armand's name, and still being alive.

So yeah. Just my guess, but I think the show's reason will be the same as the books on this one, at least is my guess right now. And that is that simply put, Daniel intrigued Armand.

As Armand told Daniel before he let him go and told him to start running in QotD:

"I want to see what you do, I want to know what you are."

And I feel that might be what happens with regard to their show versions as well. And why Armand would even bother to step in and save Daniel's life from an angry Louis in the first place.

Hey you don't need to post this but i really need to rant and you seem like one of the few accounts that won't judge me on here. I genuinely despise what this fandom has become. I hate the fact that the "biggest" or most famous blogs go around saying that it's disrespectful to try and prove Louis and Harry are still together cuz they're clearly the happiest the could be right now. I hate the fact that everyone just goes around pretending they're not affected by them kissing (and being recorded while doing it) some chick every two months. I've literally been in this fandom for half of my life and i would have NEVER expected this to be the outcome. It feels like i can't even say that i want them to come out without being attacked because suddenly doing that is too invasive. I've been here since 2012, the main thing larries did was being loud about our support to them being gay and together but right now it just seems like everyone pretends they believe their public life and their public personas, even if deep inside they believe they're still together. It would be more bereable if at least Louis and Harry still acted like they used but right now it just feels like all they care about is money. And for all the people that's straight up gonna tell me to leave the fandom, i wish i fucking could just forget about then altogether but it's not that easy and my frustration comes from a place of love and admiration towards them and what they used to represent

Of course we don’t know them and what they feel but do you think they are at least slightly embarrassed or ashamed of their actions? I get that they enjoy their money and fame and are incredibly ambitious people but shouldn’t be there some dignity and self respect left?

I would fucking hope so? I'm pretty sure they are, at least at some level, ashamed. Right now i know nothing seems beneath them.

I don't know how Louis manages to stand on stage and shout out F to everyone without being mortified and ashamed of himself for taking advantage of a kid like that. Even if he's forced to, he must know how it looks and what we think. Coping must be hard (as we've seen).

I also don't know how Harry can preach about TPWK, and at the same time be besties with James Corden, who's the one celebrity that's been most proven to NOT embody that saying. Is H doing him a favour to repair James' image? He looks like a right hypocrite.

I also think it's important to state and communicate our disapproval. Sometimes they make dumb decisions (that has nothing to do with stunts or clauses) and i think (at least hope) they listen and learn. I don't think they want to look stupid, be disrespectful, fame hungry, look desperate or act insecure etc.

It's also a fact that no matter what, both H and L's legacies will always have a dent in them because of the stunting, lying and deceit. Much will be forgiven when they come out, but not everything unfortunatly. In the end they've both profited off of other peoples vulnerabilities and misery. It's at best morally grey. Harry could have made it on his own merits, but he will always be remembered as someone who faked his way to the top (unless all is revealed, which i doubt). I just hope he can live with that (even if he didn’t have a choice).

The Louis cancellation. Asian leg was to start in about a week. About 15 hours ago, the promoter posted a bare bones announcement - tour cancelled across all of Asia, refunds will be issued. (There were rumors about this bouncing around twitter yesterday, which is its own problem.) No other info. in that initial announcement. NOTHING from LTHQ or Louis himself. Went about 12 hours before we heard anything. Then it was LTHQ with a post on his official website — we’re sorry, Louis really wanted to do this, and basically nothing else. Still nothing from Louis.

1) people are understandably concerned about Louis and those close to him. Sure he drinks and smokes, but he’s a professional when it comes to touring. Just like Niall. Louis broke his arm twice this past year, kept touring. Fulfilled a performance commitment three days after his mother died Not saying this is exceptional among performers, but just saying this really is unprecedented for Louis.

2) people are pissed at LTHQ. No matter what is going on with Louis, and pls let it be nothing awful, but regardless, the delay in LTHQ’s response is inexcusable. Disrespectful to fans and just pathetic. Their statement should’ve gone out at the same time as the promoter’s announcement. Even if they were ambushed by the announcement, unlikely since twitter knew, it shouldn’t have taken 12 hours to put out a short, basic PR blurb that contained zero substantive info. A high school intern could’ve written it in ten minutes. Not that we have a right to all details, esp with personal stuff, but the content was so basic there is zero excuse for the delay.

3) again, really hoping it’s nothing personal, but pics unveiling new tattoos came out a couple days ago. If and only if nothing bad happened personally between then and the cancellation announcement, it’s not ok he hasn’t posted. He will fully deserve criticism around it.

Damn that is some mess! I understand why people are upset tbh. Especially because you didn't even get an explanation. Like I remember Shawn mendes canceling part of his tour and he posted about feeling anxious and overwhelmed and not being in a good headspace to tour and everyone understood. But with this... So strange!!!

Also the lack of announcement from him first is weird... Or at least to me but maybe it's because I experienced niall canceling his tour when covid hit and he was the one to announce it and apologise and everything. Like I know they all hire people to do these stuff for them but canceling a tour is a huge deal so I like when artists take 2 min out of their lifes to inform the fans themselves you know.

okay because i feel i need to address this reply.

1. not super important but unfortunately bc daniel molloy is my best friend i feel obliged to address it: daniel is NOT washed up. he's an old man who is relegated to teaching online classes because of his degenerative illness and the pandemic. he is a well respected journalist with a bold reputation. this is certainly part of the reason louis felt he would reach out to daniel along with their past.

2. i did not say claudia wanted her diaries published. if it seems like i was saying she'd consent to her diaries being shared, i apologize. that isn't what i was trying to say. (and furthermore it was not the point i was trying to make with that post)

3. whether or not daniel should have access to the diaries is irrelevant because louis gives them to him anyway. arguably, louis made a mistake in the first place allowing access (read: deliberately giving daniel an alternative perspective) to claudia's diaries. because he gives consent to their use, they are now out of his hands. if he wants daniel to understand and sympathize with claudia (things claudia certainly doesn't give two shits about), then daniel should have full access. louis is not in a position to pick and choose what of claudia's life is relevant (it is ALL relevant, it's her life, not his). he takes away her dignity and autonomy by defacing her diaries (her possessions!) he took great care to preserve them, to preserve her memory, to let her live on, he has daniel handle them with gloves, and then he tears pages from them? it is absolutely disrespectful to her memory. she must be handled with kid gloves and we can't look at the ugly bits of her trauma. yes, he believes he is protecting her, i don't argue that he believes he is right. and yes some of daniel's words are harsh, but he is right, once you put something out in the world, the world decides what they want to see, what to do with it. louis wasn't right to tear out those pages, but do you think he was right to give consent to their use in the first place?

4. finally, i am grateful they used this as a narrative way to not show us the assault. i'm not saying we should have seen it. we don't need to. the show shows us they understand the weight of it, they have been very smart in using violence strategically as opposed to other amc or hbo shows that gratuitously depict rape on screen. i'm not mad from a narrative standpoint the choices louis makes, because it informs his character, it makes sense for him. i don't like the way he views claudia, but i understand it. because like... nuance or whatever.

Look, Percy’s dating history doesn’t help against any allegations. This isn’t about allegations. I’m sorry the posts make you feel uncomfortable though.

The biggest difference from what we’re doing here - gossiping about Percy’s dating life good naturally - and what we say about Jenna’s fan clubs… is that if he appears dating or being close with anyone, we won’t mob him. We aren’t hating on anyone. We’re doing celebrity gossip.

I understand it might be a difficult topic to breach right now because of the allegations, but it’s not bad manner. It’s not doing anyone harm. We won’t go comment these things under anyone’s pictures or try and make him be anything he isn’t. And that’s what Jenna’s fan clubs have been doing. I think that us supporting Percy is the biggest proof of love.

We love him. We respect him. And it’s true, we don’t know them in person. We only know what they show us. And the most “disrespectful” thing we’re looking here are pap pics. No one is stalking them or hacking or digging.

You might not enjoy the content of my blog outside of the defence I made on this whole Percy situation, and that’s okay. But I will respectfully speculate.

Honestly, if this fandom can’t return to the normalcy of liking his pictures and commenting on him and fawning… haters won. What’s the harm in talking about how animals seem to like him? Or how he seems shy? Why is it cringe? Because it’s fan talk?

I know! I hate the barking. It’s not cute snd it’s not funny and people might think it’s harmless but to do it so many times? If it happened once or even a couple of times, whatever, I wouldn’t do it but that’s a me thing. But to do it constantly is, to me, disrespectful. Louis is a human being doing his job, why be annoying? And it’s the whole larrie fallacy - they assume Louis knows this stuff because in their mind, he’s with Harry. The constant barking is embarrassing. Rather than bark, Louis would like it if you sang along, made noise to show your excitement and appreciation for the music. Louis loves music and he loves the feeling of connection he gets when he sings on a stage in front of his fans. Honestly, I would find it incredibly distracting and awkward if I was trying to do my job and people were barking at me. Obviously being a singer is different than most other jobs but Louis is up onstage trying to do his job. The “I love you” chants or ones about how beautiful he is were much cuter and Louis reacted all cutely to them. Latam crowds are superior in every way to usa crowds and I can get why Louis starts in the usa because it’s only up from there. I can’t imagine Latam or Asian crowds doing the barking, what was it, before every song or most songs? It’s way too much. Hopefully it stops in usa and won’t continue in Europe 🤞

Agree with everything you’ve said. We’ve seen how much he absolutely loves it when crowds chant their love for him, or his beauty (so wholesome) or even football chants! Why can’t these people do more of that? But I guess it’s just an established fact now that the US crowds are what you have to bear if you want to have the pleasure of experiencing latam crowds later. And you’re right about why he starts there too, so that the crowds progressively (majorly) keep getting better and he can ensure that both him and the fans have a good time.

Larries unwillingness to see (and do something about) the fact that they make fandom spaces uncomfortable for everyone around them is unbelievably rude. And also in direct opposition of the spirit of what Louis and his art stand for. Disrespectful, uncivil and ill-mannered people. Can only hope and pray that we’re rid of them some day.

ummmm ok so. i already talked abt the lucky part of it in this post which basically says that louis doesn’t trust harry’s team but if harry needs to tell himself it’ll be ok to get through the night that’s alright. i could go more in-depth on lucky but this is already too long rip

so for little freak…. well. the interpretation my friends and i had was that harry wrote the song about louis after an argument with him about harry’s solo career/team/situation/etc. what inspired it first was:

I disrespected you / jumped in feet first and I landed too hard / a broken ankle, karma rules

taking it as harry talking about how he jumped straight into his solo career without realizing what exactly he was getting into, and then is now realizing just how messy it is (a broken ankle) - and is blaming himself for it (karma rules). the first line speaks to them fighting - with this interpretation it would be about harry’s situation , but now harry has reflected on it and seen where he was wrong.

and then staying with this interpretation, looking at the lines:

Stay green a little while / You bring blue lights to dreams / Starry haze, crystal ball / Somehow, you've become some paranoia / A wet dream just dangling / But your gift is wasted on me

“being green” at something means being inexperienced or innocent, while blue is associated with sadness/being down - you could read this as harry wants louis to pretend that everything is fine and nothing is wrong even when he has misgivings because it’s tainting harry’s dream. and then there’s the next lines which speak to warnings/being scared/the future as well as potentially being trapped in a “starry haze” - all these together with the last “but your gift was wasted on me” can be read as louis gave his opinion on harry’s situation and harry didn’t want to listen even though louis was right.

now the song as a whole is very romantic and lovely and speaks to how much harry loves louis and it is talking about more than just this one thing. if we take it in the context of reflecting after an argument, louis’ delicate point of view is even more heartbreaking because it shows that harry loves, values, and respects louis’ opinions and how he sees the world, even when it’s not what he wants to hear.

megan, evelyn, and jess are all super insanely smart and devastating and we had this brainwave after listening to lucky and dissecting the superman lyric and realizing just how fucked everything is lmao and now we hate ourselves :/ but thanks louis for letting us understand little freak even more, i hate u so much
