Name: Kamukamu

Debut: Wario Land 2

Have you ever thought about a world where everything is exactly the same... except you don't exist? Everything functions perfectly without you... that is the existential horror that this fangly little fishy must contend with! Kamukamu only appears in the Game Boy version of Wario Land 2, and is entirely replaced in the Game Boy Color version!

This is Drill, but you can call it SpongeBob SquarePants episode 151a, because it's the New Fish In Town! This is the one that replaced Kamukamu on the Game Boy Color, and I really have no idea why. They're completely different fish in both design and function! Kamukamu is a bitey fish who chomps onto Wario and makes him drop coins until shaken off. Drill is a pointynose fish who causes instant damage if touched from the front. They can coexist!

Of the two, I'm not sure which I prefer! Kamukamu has a more fun personality to me, with its glassy eyes and toothy overbite. It reminds me of a wolffish, but it's likely just a generic "bitey fish". Meanwhile, Drill has the goofier anatomy! It is seemingly based on a sawfish, but instead of a saw-like rostrum, it's like a drill instead. Its actual mouth looks toothless and non-threatening, as if it pulverizes prey into a smoothie that it slurps up!

Ok, that's about it, I guess. Post's over. Drill, taking the bus again? Okay, get home safe! What about you, Kamukamu? Your dad's picking you up? Okay! Let's see if he's here... oh, there he is!

Name: Big Kamukamu

Debut: Wario Land 2

This is Big Kamukamu, a boss in both versions of Wario Land 2! Even when little Kamukamu was replaced, no one had the gall to tell THIS fish it was fired. Would you? Big Kamukamu is, in fact, the only reason we have a name for Kamukamu! Big Kamukamu's name was given from a Picross game of all things (awesome swag epic), and from this we can only assume that the smaller ones are regular Kamukamu.

That's so many sources to go through to find a name for poor Kamukamu! Even after all that, we're not SURE that would be its name. It definitely seems so, it just isn't confirmed. Is this fish doomed to obscurity at every turn? I think it deserves a little something nice, so I am going to give it its very own localized name!

"Kamu" means "to bite", making "Kamukamu" basically "Bitebite". I think this is more than enough of a base for a silly cute little name!

Kamukamu, I hereby give you the fan-localized name of Bittybite! I hope you like it! Yes, it sounds like Biddybud, but this game was long before 3D Land and they would not have cared about an enemy in a subseries having a similar name. And I like Bittybite! So there is some love for this little fish who has been really craving it.

New Fakemon for my fucking Underground region because I'm going insane.

Desmodew Water This winged mammal lives off of the water that collects on the walls off of caves. Once they drink their weight in water, they become unable to fly and fall to the ground. They're often used by humans to find sources of groundwater.

Desmodrain Water While thought by some to feed by robbing people of moisture, it is now understood that this is purely a defense mechanism. However, this ability is still nothing to take lightly. Other Water types in particular should be kept away from this Pokemon.

Desmozotz Water/Fire Desmozotz have been known to take over entire Caverns in order to live off the abundant moisture. They seek out wells of groundwater to drain them completely dry. Desmozotz can fire off jets of fire that leave their target's skin cracked and desiccated.

Staglactite Rock/Normal This cute little Pokemon shovels through dirt with its upside-down antlers. It has a diet of roots and Bittybites, and can often be seen playing in pools of water. Despite the awkward placement of its prongs, it loves to nuzzle up against stalagmites and people.

Caveribou Rock/Fighting It strikes with its impressive hind legs with enough force to cause cave ins. It is otherwise very calm in nature. This temperament causes many Pokemon hitch rides on Caveribou's back and in its impressive antlers, and so it protects those it carries rigorously.

Ambercast Bug/Rock It skillfully weaves delicate strands of glasslike thread that it then coats with a special goop that traps flying Tolimifacts. It casts these threads like lures while hanging from ceilings. Its jewel-like carapace gleams like starlight in the dim light of the Caverns it lives in.

Tolimifact Flying This Pokemon floats around the Starlight Caverns, glinting like gold in the gemlight. Some people believe this to be signs of ancient extraterrestrial life, and often refuse any proof that this is purely coincidental.

Bittybite Bug This tiny little grub tunnels through the ground at a rapid pace, absorbing the nutrients in the soil through its skin. It is exceptionally hardy, and can adapt to any Cavern it ends up in. Many Pokemon hunt for them due to their wide abundance in the Underground.

Dynastibite Bug/??? This Pokemon has fully adapted to life in the Caverns it calls home, and as such it has taken on traits of its environment. This specialization is so great that people used to think every variant of Dynastibite was its own species. Every variant of Dynastibite has an impressive set of mandibles that can cleave through solid stone.

Triepon Steel/Water The apex of underwater exploration, this artificial Pokemon was in development under the moniker of "Iron King". It utilizes state-of-the-art technology to reach depths previously unheard of by humans. This particular Triepon was retrofitted to aid in the exploration of the Ocean Caverns.

haven’t finished the others but figured while I’m at a standstill here’s a bittybite that can help out while we’re stuck!

Bittybite(s): Teacup Macaroon

Types: Though they vary it normally falls into two types, these types will be called Teacup(type 1) and Potbelly(type 2) and will be differentiated as such.

Height: 2.75 feet or 83.82 centimeters on average for both types, Teacups: largest recorded one was 3ft/91.44cm, smallest recorded one was 1.16666667ft/35.56cm. Potbellys:: largest recorded one was 5.25ft/160.02cm, smallest recorded one was 2.5ft/76.2cm

Appearance: though the genders, clothing, and patterns may change these bitties are normally a soft peach pink on their flesh, naturally always having their echo out due to their natural pig thickness. They additionally have tails and tusks, most curl the tails and remove the tusks as they sometimes go “feral” at the scent of blood like a pig. Tusks are also very important as they are what give them their main source of magic, without them, they are a lot magically weaker best to be removed when in younger years (5years old at least/most) so it will not become endangering/fatal later on.  

Care: minimal care, food may be concerning, either is very clean or very filthy true to the teacup pig genetics they have.

Diet: like a pig is an omnivore and doesn’t care as long as it’s food, it is best to watch what they eat as they will eat questionable things unless taught not to. These bitties will sometimes overeat or not eat at all if under stress and/or concerned with those they are attached to. Making a schedule or explaining why something might be bad for them to eat 

Personality: Teacup types are very spiffy, once of “adult” age (10 years) they may stop requesting “tea parties” in favor of making meals for their owner(s) and other “companions”(pets or other bitties) and start to take the choice to take care of the others.

Sociability: Depending on the personality they may attach easily or be slightly difficult to attach to a “group”. These bitties are social so they may bring other bitties or smaller animals home to clean them up and feed them if they do not already have at least two other pets or bitties to watch over and play with. Though there are rare accounts of the smaller types

fact: these types are most prone to wrongful treatment if not adopted from here as most are rescued or bought from farms, some have seen their siblings have their tusks removed and others have seen them become bacon! so I ask of you to please make sure you’re grabbing the right one for you and your family before you adopt one!

Sorry for the low-quality pictures. I see all my flaws staring back at me in this very much so.

@wonderland-isles gave us two lovely boys who are settling in very well! The girls were even well enough that they gave them their calling charms! (These allow them to “lead” to the one in “harm” so the others may help.)

Olive seems to like calling our Papy Sweets “Holly” while they’ve taken to addressing our Alpha “Sirius”.

Sirius seems confused as to why I’d take photos of him caring for Olivia. Olive is rambling about the different plants to her new friend and guide Holly. She also had helped dye his kimono to have some flowers on it!
