"I went through a dark period that no one else knew of." Three years after All Star Sports Day aired, Chris Chiu's career should have been bigger, but he felt lost once again. "What more did I have to offer to the entertainment business? Those who entered showbiz around the same time as I did seemed to all be doing very well, while I seemed to be stuck in the same place." Once someone turns 30, society has certain expectations of them, so he held himself up to those same standards, and even beat down on himself. He then decided to start working out to feel better, "god is very interesting, every time I start working out, change follows." He smiles and says, "Wei Qian came two, three months later. The very first time I heard this name, I felt this jolt in my heart."

Chris Chiu shared that actors have this saying that characters have souls, they'll find someone suitable, and use that person to send a message to an audience. The BL drama Unknown is based on the novel Da Ge by Chinese author Priest. It tells the story of Wei Qian, who was abused by his drug-addict mother for the better part of his childhood. Once his parents passed, he shouldered the responsibility of taking care of the family. He raised his baby sister, who he's related to by blood, and younger brother, who he adopted from the streets, on his own. At a young age, he dropped out of school, got involved in gang activity, and worked odd jobs. As he grew up in hardship, his sensitive younger brother started developing feelings for him that went beyond that of a sibling. During that dark period when the future was unknown, there was this synchronicity between Chris Chiu and Wei Qian. He said that reading the novel itself felt like he was being comforted and saved.

"Wei Qian looks like he's very strong, but on the inside, he really needs to be loved. It's just that he believes that he doesn't deserve to be loved, which is why he put up a shield to block out the outside world. If someone starts showing love when you're in despair, little by little, the shield starts to crack and you start to realize that you do indeed deserve to be loved, and that you are not alone." This character was by Chris Chiu's side as he walked out of his funk, and through Chris, taught everyone going through a hard time to believe that someone will be by your side looking over you just like the sun. "Compared to loving oneself, I believe that loving someone else will challenge your limits, make you forget about your own limitations, and realize that you're very strong."

Where to read ENNEAD by Mojito, the boy's love manhwa

"The once peaceful land of Egypt has been stained with blood under the tyrannical rule of Seth, the god of war. Horus, son of the god Isis but not yet one himself, rises to challenge the throne and put an end to the chaos and destruction. Although the confrontation between Seth and Horus began with hatred, in time it becomes blurred by obsession and desire... The ancient mythology of Egypt comes to life as you've never seen it before in this compelling fantasy BL." - Tappytoon summary There are a lot of places to read ENNEAD, the Korean boy's love comic about gods in ancient Egypt, particularly Seth and Horus! But it can be a little confusing, so I'll put some of the big ones in a list, including how to read in English, Korean, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Taiwanese, and Thai (and here's a carrd version). If you're seeing this reblogged somewhere, check the original to see if there's been any updates, because I'll try to keep this up to date.

There are two versions of ENNEAD available most places it is available: an uncensored/mature/19+ version and a censored/16+/15+ version. The numbers refer to ages.

There is benefit to reading both! Mojito often modifies the censored scenes to show more of different scenes, and some of it explores character thoughts in ways you don't get in the mature version.

Episodes with version differences:

Season 1: Episodes 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 42, 43, 44

Season 2: Episodes 19, 45, 46, 47, 71

ENNEAD is currently two seasons long with an ongoing season 2, and a planned season 3. Mojito sporadically posts on twitter in Korean, sometimes sharing updates, writing/drawing commentary, and extras.

ENNEAD updates in Korean every 10 days, on the 9th, 19th, and 29th (barring holidays and hiatuses), and on the last day of February when it's updating in February, around 22:00 KST. It updates in English, French, and German every 10 days, on the 10th, 20th, and 30th (barring holidays and hiatuses), and on the last day of February when it's updating in February. When the English is updating near-simultaneously, it puts out its latest episode around 00:00 ET. The English translation is 6 episodes behind the Korean and currently on hiatus, but will return with S02E80 on 30 April 2024, while the French and German are 6 episodes behind the Korean and are currently on hiatus, but will with S02E80 on 10 June 2024.

Korean Audio Drama

On 5 November 2023, ACO announced a Korean audio drama of season 1 (Episodes 1-73). It was available for purchase in physical and is now available to purchase digitally by episode. You need to make an account on either site to purchase it there, and the individual episode site seems to require ID verification before purchase. More information here.

Print Releases

ENNEAD season 1 is available in print in Korean and Taiwanese, which you can purchase through Harumio and Koonbooks (along with other merch). Apparently the physical editions are a little cheaper if you look for third party sellers. Mojito announced on March 18th, 2023, that season 2 would be getting a physical release after season 2 was fully released online, though Mojito didn't specify in what language.

Seven Seas began release of an English physical edition starting in November 2023. "Seven Seas [is releasing] two versions of the series, which were originally drawn for different audiences: a paperback version rated Older Teen, and a deluxe hardcover version rated Mature. (Each version is standalone but has alternate depictions of some adult material.)" We don't know how long this release will be, but season 1 in Korean is 6 volumes, and the English is at least 5. The English will seemingly use the Korean book covers, which also seemingly indicates a 6-volume release.

There are also ongoing physical releases in German, Italian, and Japanese.

English, French, German

Tappytoon is the only place to legally read ENNEAD in English online. There is currently no downloadable ebook copy in English. Tappytoon is available on browser and the app (for your phone and/or tablet). Tappytoon recently added the mature version to the app, but if you have any issues reading it, both are available and purchasable on the browser version, which you can read on your phone/tablet through your browser if you'd like. Any funds you add and any episodes you buy through the app will be there if you switch to browser. It also has a French translation and a German translation, both of which seem to be censored.

Each version, age-wise, is marked specifically: mature says "Mature" (twice), and has a red M, while the censored/16+ version is marked as 16+, and is missing the "Mature" markers.

Uncensored/mature version^^^ (Again, this should be available on the app now, but if you have any issues accessing it, it has been and still is fully accessible via a browser).

Censored/16+ version^^^

Obtaining episodes: The first three episodes are free to read and keep forever. The rest are paywalled, but there are two ways to read it free, legally, through Tappytoon:

Both versions of ENNEAD are part of Tappytoon's Time Till Free program, where you log in each day and read one episode for free. It means only one episode a day, but you don't have to do anything else. The newest 73 episodes must be purchased with points (the site currency), though. As of March 21st, 2024, this would mean you can get the entirety of season 1 for free, and 6 episodes of season 2.

If you download the app for Tappytoon (usable on phone or tablet), you can watch advertisements to earn points to buy episodes. It's around 30 ads for enough points to buy one episode. If you earn points this way, you can still use them for the mature version if you open it on browser (the points stay in your account), and the episodes will remain in your account even if you can't see the mature versions on the app.

3. You can just buy points. Most credit cards and PayPal should work.

4. Points do not expire, and Tappytoon does deals to get points for cheap every now and then.

Korean

ENNEAD is available in a number of places to legally read in the original Korean. The Korean is ahead of the English translation currently by 6 episodes, and the English is on hiatus until it returns with S02E80 on 30 April 2024, so if you read the Korean, you will be ahead. If you're not using Chrome, I would recommend installing an extension on your browser that translates pages (Firefox has a number of them, just Google "Firefox translation extension"), which will make this part easier if you can't read Korean.

Witchcomics

Witchcomics carries both the censored and uncensored Korean version (uncensored has the red 19 symbol on the top right). It also has a phone app. You will need to verify your age with adult identification to access the uncensored version, and you can use international ID and payment methods for Witchcomics. Simply create an account and go to the customer care page, where they'll explain the process.

Witchcomics also typically provides a preview on their twitter a number of hours (usually no more than 24, sometimes under 10) before the new episode is released. And while Ridibooks uses the current series poster as a filler for episode "previews", Witchcomics puts a mini episode preview up for each episode on the buy/rent page itself (similar to Tappytoon).

Witchcomics is also the site that gives Mojito the biggest percentage of each episode's earnings, so if you're making a decision on where to best support Mojito, it's one of the better options, and Mojito has commented repeatedly she prefers people buy through Witchcomics.

Ridibooks

Ridibooks carries both the censored and uncensored Korean version. To find the uncensored version, type 엔네아드 in the search bar. The uncensored version has a 19 in a circle on the cover. There is also a version with a red cover, which is the complete season 1.

Ridibooks requires you to verify your age by submitting identification in order to read the uncensored/mature version. This guide is very helpful in signing up, getting 19+ access, and paying for episodes. Ridibooks accepts both international ID and international payments to access and read episodes for both the uncensored and censored versions of the story.

Naver

Naver carries both versions of the series in Korean. The uncensored version has the red 19 to the left of its name.

Kakao

Kakao carries both versions of the series in Korean. The censored version has a tiny gray 15 on the upper right corner, and the uncensored version has a 19 in the middle.

Bomtoon

Bomtoon carries both versions of the series in Korean. You need age verification to view the uncensored version, which requires submitting an adult ID to Bomtoon. The censored version is viewable without age verification.

Chinese

The simplified Chinese translation is available on bilibili, though it is censored. There is no uncensored Chinese translation. The Chinese translation is currently on hiatus.

German

Besides the Tappytoon online release, Panini Manga is releasing a physical version of the series. Volume 1 is out! Volume 2 will release on 21 May 2024.

Italian

Planet Manga, a division of Panini Comics, announced on June 6, 2023 that they would be releasing an official Italian translation of ENNEAD! Volume 1 released on 24 January 2024, and volume 2 released on 15 February 2024. Volume 3 released on 28 March 2024.

Japanese

The uncensored ENNEAD has also been translated into Japanese and is available on b-boy, renta, CMOA, Mecha Comic, and Piccoma. A translation of the censored release will begin on 20 May 2024.

The physical release of the Japanese translation began on 24 April 2024, with volumes 1-2; volume 3 will release on 20 May 2024, volume 4 will release 19 June 2024, and there are listings with unknown release dates for volumes 5-6. There are various bonuses depending on where you order from.

Thai

wecomics carries the Thai translation. It seems to require a log-in ID to access.

Merch

At this point there have been a few non-book merch waves and collaborations (with Mofun, ACO, BNOW, Gratte, and Goodsbee), mostly available through proxies. This includes posters, cards, a cup, pins, keychains, popcaps, standees, and jewelry. Remember to check when comparing prices how much goods are priced + how much it will cost to ship to you. Seoul Comics doesn't sell any of its merch for some reason (e.g., the blanket, tarot cards, magnets, crystal ball, and incense burner), it's just given away rarely in lotteries.

Please support ENNEAD legally if at all possible. Manhwa artists have a habit of stopping translations or releases entirely when they learn about pirating, and Mojito has spoken out against pirating a number of times.

dropping the 90 dop challenge

For the past few days (ever since my final exams started i guess?) i've been feeling pretty low so i didn't care to post (sorry) and didn't even study much. so, i was procrastinating on posting.

this post basically talks about how those days went and also about what i plan to do now.

i was also procrastinating on laundry. so now, when im home, i brought back a huge back of unwashed laundry with me.

my math exam was bad. my programming exam was kinda bad too. my physics exam went okay-ish. my bio exam kinda went okay-ish too. my trw exam.. i have no idea. i don't know what mistakes the professors will point out. and my engineering exam went pretty okay ( a lil more than ok if u consider the expectations i had).

anyways, the day my exams ended, i slept a lot. i slept at 12 pm and woke up at 5 pm. for dinner, we all bought food from outside.

recently i got a little comfortable with eating chicken with friends but i talked to my parents and subtly asked them if they'd be ok with me eating chicken and my father said no so i decided to go all veg (except for shawarma because shawarma is a non veg thing). so during this dinner, me and my other veg friend bought some veg food while the other girls bought some chicken.

i didn't sleep the whole night of 20th, basically. my parents were picking me up from hostel early next morning and it was already late and i didn't want to wake up late. so i spent the night watching some bl dramas.

they didn't show up at 6 (time they were supposed to show up). they showed up at 8 and by then i had got around an hour of sleep in. we went to this wedding. stayed there until after lunch. took an aunty home with us to stay with us for the day (my social battery was exhausted by now and having the aunty at home pissed me off though i was nice with her just two hours ago). i slept the whole car ride home. i spent most of the rest of my day on my phone. aunty left. i watched a bit of "freaky friday" (the one with lindsay lohan) while eating dinner. then i stayed up a bit for some reason and then i slept.

today--

i woke up at 10 30 and my father was pissed about it and he seemed pissed for the rest of the day too. my gran was a lil pissed too but all she said was to wake up early next morning(5) and that she won't let me off this time.

Okay but like, COME ON ITS HOLIDAYS CUT ME SOME SLACK

that's like, annoying.

but ok.

so gran assigned me duties that say i should wake up early at like 5, do the rangoli (nothing special just lines), and water the plants.

ok.

i watched the rest of freaky friday, a little bit of home alone. i did the dishes many times today. i organised my clothes and put away a lot of clothes i didn't want to wear anymore.

WHAT I PLAN TO DO IN THE HOLIDAYS:

well, i plan to learn some drawing during the holidays. i like drawing but i'm not so good at it. so yeah. i've saved some youtube playlists and skillshare lessons.

i also want to watch a few movies from my list.

i even want to help my mother and grandmother with cooking.

Also read? My friend suggested this book called "luv shuv in new york" i'm going to be reading that.

and i even wanna go shopping with my mother, brother. (separate trips with both of them).

that's it i guess?

I kinda wanna do at least one productive thing everyday during the holidays.

30 Day HypMic Challenge!

Double post today! Because I wasn't gonna be left behind~

DAY 7: CHARACTER YOU RELATE TO THE MOST/FAVOURITE CHARACTER EVER

🎭 NURUDE SASARA

There's two clauses to this day and Sasara kind of fits both, but mostly he goes here because he's my absolute favourite character in HypMic alongside Ramuda. But I do relate to this bad boi a bit, because if you couldn't tell, clowns who clown together stick together. :)

It took me forever to actually pick a favourite character in HypMic, because there's so many, and because I'm just kind of like that. Takes me a while to commit. :kekw:

And even when I did pick, I couldn't fully settle on one, because as I said, Sasara does share the spot with Ramuda. But I guess they're my favourites for some of the same reasons, but some different ones.

I remember liking Sasara as soon as I met him while listening to the drama tracks. I knew all of the characters already, but when I got to the DotsuHon track, I had never seen Sasara in action yet, I'd just read something off of the wiki and seen pictures of him. I had no strong opinions.

But oh boy was I about to have them.

I just loved him. I didn't expect him to be so smart and clever right off the bat. I was absolutely not expecting to perceive his depth so quickly, even through his usual funny and lighthearted persona. He immediately spoke to me, and I knew I was dealing with one that was going to become one of my favourite characters ever, not just in HypMic. My ult bias, if you will. *wink* (Sasara sits at the same table as Han Jisung in my brain. They should both feel honoured.)

Not to mention that he's, just, hot. Like, LOOK AT THE MAN. I know the orange matched with the green hair is a bit controversial but STILL the idea of a very polished looking outfit but in funky colours and with a silly pattern just feels perfectly in tune with his personality. It fits him! And that also means I get to salivate over him when they choose to remove his jacket in ARB cards. (Looking at you latest event - I was a mess for days.)

Obviously, knowing me, number 1 gay person and BL fan, my favourite character couldn't not be a gay little shit as well. That is something we have in common a stupid amount: both Sasara and I are gay disasters. We would have so much fun simping over men together while drinking tea. Also it is so hilarious that Sasara has such a fixed type in men I swear to god, the Rosho/MCD Samatoki parallels have me cackling every time. This man really replaced his ex he couldn't get over with basically the same guy but in white cum patate. Iconic move. For the history books.

Also, is anyone surprised that my favourite character is once again an ENTP fuckboy? No, I know. No one is. But birds of a feather come together, I guess, because I also am an ENTP fuckboy. :) I wasn't always - I guess this little bastard influenced me, together with some other assholes like Vanitas or Dazai or who knows who else. There's always one.

GW2 30 Day Challenge

7. Do you have a favourite place you like to afk/chill out? I don't really AFK anywhere intentionally. I only do so if I need to look something up or if I have to step away from my computer bc I'm cooking or something. If I had to choose, I guess the closest places to fit this criteria would either be the Grove (it's my home, not super crowded, pretty, and everything is in close proximity and convenient) and recently, the Wizards Tower for SoTo things (but I have most if not all? the portal scrolls and I now have the perma bank too, so theoretically I can just afk anywhere that won't have mobs that wanna attack me while I'm afk). I'm still shocked about getting that thing from the BL chest, and am still training myself to use it regularly bc I'm so used to just porting myself somewhere to go to access bank lol). As for chilling out, I uh... unfortunately mostly play by myself atm so there really isn't a place for this^^' I don't have any relevant images to use, so have this instead

Random ask, have you ever done any BL challenge read (like 30 days BL read, etc) in twitter or tumblr? If you have, would you mind share the results? Thanks a lot for your reviews on BL manga and manhwa.....

In the past, I did an A to Z Yaoi Challenge, where for every letter of the English alphabet, I tried to find a BL title that starts with the letter. Tbh, I don't use the term yaoi anymore (and looking at my posts i kind of feel the cringe TM, but that was how the challenge named). Day 3: Favourite Shows

I'll list my current top 5. Not ranked.

Our Dating Sim

It's actually a show with not that much tragedy and angst which I like. It's actually and officially my go-to rewatch and I have rewatched it less than 72 hours after I finished it for the first time, actually.

Sing My Crush

I REALLY REALLY love the dynamics between Im Hantae and Han Baram and how each actors portrayed them. Personally love Hantae tho. He's just adorable.

The Eighth Sense

I saw somewhere that it's the BL drama you watched if you're looking for melodrama. Yes. That's the word, melodrama. Though the premise is not really that unique, its execution is surely exceptional.

Semantic Error

I'm gonna be honest by saying that Seoham's look sold me to this drama. But I also really love the enemies to lovers trope executed in this drama. Something that didn't irk me at all!

Light on Me

Two sole reason: Noh Shinwoo and the love triangle trope. I do love myself some good love triangle trope.

And I realized I put all Korean BL, it just happened that way.

Honorable mentions would be Kieta Hatsukoi and Cherry Magic!

"Hey Celia wake up, wake up" whispered Eoin as he lightly shook Cici's limp body.

Nothing. Absolutely no movement what so ever coming from his right side. With a motionless body laying beside him, Eoin decided to get out of bed connect his phone to the speaker and started playing Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride - Jesse Bloch

Not even 10 seconds into the song, Celia has emerged from her beauty sleep standing up on the bed, singing and dancing around. Luckily for Eoin, he was out of danger from being trampled on by a energetic blonde. A giggling Celia looks over to her blue eyed boyfriend before looking down at the smile on his face "well good morning to you too" as the music fades in the background. "As much as you love your music we need to get a move on, it's 3am and we need to collect Byrnes" Eoin replied as he starts getting dressed for the day. After remembering what day it was Celia jumped out of bed as she excitedly got ready for the day ahead.

With coffee's ready to go Eoin picks up the head collar and lead rope before hoping into the car. It's a 30 minute drive and as they make their way to their destination Celia reminisces on how it all happened.

Throwback - 5 years ago "No Cici we can't afford it" said Eoin looking at her with disbelief in his eyes. Celia widens her eyes at him a pout forming as she responds "But, but, but...if we do this Eoin we won't have to commit to anything serious for another 2/3 years..." Again, with disbelief Eoin sighed...knowing that this fact is not true. "If we do this you have to promise me we leave the foal out to grow up and only break them when he/she turns 3". With excitement pooling in her eyes Celia jumps up and down before hugging Eoin "Thank you, thank you I promise you won't regret this". A defeated Eoin sighed before walking away from the office leaving her to do her own research.

Celia was on the search for a lovely sturdy horse. Loving the Irish Draught Horse she didn't have one at her yard since her late father was around. Not only were they known by their good temperament but, also for being strong boned and very versatile. Wanting to expand the yards diversity in disciplines she thought what better way to start it but, with an Irish Draught Horse. The next part of the plan was actually sourcing one, that was the real challenge though. Where was she going to find the traditional breed, with so many bloodlines getting mixed it was rare to find the bigger boned horses.

Looking around was the longest part but, after searching far and wide Celia stumbled onto Remham's lovely Irish horses. Falling in love with REPH Ghost a stunning grey who has competed in hunting and eventing Celia couldn't say no to this lovely stallion. Because his Irish horses were so breath takingly wonderful she looked at his broodmares too as she stumbled upon the gorgeous bay, REPH Cassiopeia who competed in show jumping and eventing. The two were a perfect match in what Cici was looking for and with the help from the lovely Moose her dream came true in breeding the two.

Throwback Over *Engine turns off* knocking Celia out from her daze Eoin looks over with big wide eyes "Well my darling, are you ready?" taking a deep breath she nods her head excitedly whispering breathlessly "yes". As they make their way to the airport collection point the two anxiously wait for the handover of Pac-Man BL aka Byrnes. After a long wait Cici catches sight of her beautiful new young horse, looking over the dappled bay horse she couldn't help but grin ear to ear at the lovely horse in front of her. As a 5 year old the pair were thrilled at how much he's grown into his body, filling out with so much potential in strengthening him up.

Once arriving home the team couldn't wait to see the newest member and Sean grinning like a Cheshire cat knowing this was going to be the start of a new partnership. Even with Autumn kicking in and the fields getting muddy Eoin gave the go ahead to let Byrnes out into the bigger fields as he settles in. With the release of Byrnes into the field the calling and galloping he did was unbelievable, going on for 10 minutes before starting to settle and even at that he'd still neigh here and there. But, as look happened a bunny had appeared just by the gate which not only intrigued Byrnes but also seemed to settle him down even more, before silence finally hit the air and everyone started to disperse back to their jobs.

Hands of Men - On Set

Day 1

Having not been on set in a while, I was looking forward to getting back into it. Our first shoot day was the 9th November at 5:30 pm until 11pm. I was working closely alongside Cara, who had brought many props to design the set with. We had been on location (Abbie’s room) the day before to move furniture around, accommodating all the equipment that we needed to fill the room with. We decided that we wanted to use any red props to design the set with, such as vases, plant pots, books, plants. It was a big decision whether we wanted the room to look bleak or homely. The initial inspiration for the room in the moodboard was to be empty, signifying the breakdown of the couple’s relationship.

On set, we decided this didn’t work because it simply looked unfinished, like there was no production design apart from the props mentioned in the script. So we decorated the surfaces like so:

… making sure we had a lovely composition of red objects in the frame. This of course included Violet’s costume, the big red gift box and the blood marks on the hand. I liked the choice of red not only because of the aesthetic, but also because it symbolises love, and blood - foreshadowing the events to follow. Additionally, it looks good with the specific lighting setup used by the camera team.

The first shot we captured was a dolly zoom/ close up, so little attention was needed for production design here. However, as spare ‘hands’ on set, Cara, Hayley and I were cast as extras. We played the hands of the women in the flashback (with painted red nail varnish I might add).

After the set and first shot was finished, the art department were responsible for keeping an eye on continuity, making sure props and costumes were kept in the right place. The main props which needed resetting were Violet’s blindfold and the ribbon on the gift box, as both are removed halfway through a shot. We had to take a lot of pictures to make sure we were as accurate as possible.

Day 2

Second day of shooting was at 2pm on the 10th November. This was the day we needed the extra hands for the final shot. Cara had made replicas of the main one, and I was to paint them. As these hands have already been cut off in the film, they need to look more dead than before. They had a base layer of white spray paint which I think worked well as pallid skin. I then used a sponge to add the same grey I used before, but mixed in a lot more red and purple for the blood. We also had fake blood, which we had to pour over the pile of hands, to make sure they looked freshly cut off. Cara and I had to experiment with this first, so we lay down the carpet which we were going to use and began dripping the blood, making sure it pooled in the right places and splattered over the fingers etc. It was actually pretty difficult to make it look realistic, as the blood would sometimes absorb into the rug, or the splats would look unnatural. Plus the fake blood was sticky, and made me feel queasy. We needed a good composition to pile the hands for the perfect looking shot.

As the shot we needed the extra hands for was the very last one, we had to leave the bloody mess, and the blood just seemed to disappear. This meant we needed to revisit it later, which was fine as we had plenty of fake blood. The final shot did look incredible:

Apart from mastering this (at the end), we had still needed to keep an eye on continuity. The biggest problem we had today was the hand itself. It had been worn in, and started to look slightly wrinkly. This meant a lot of quick readjusting of the fingers, bending them into place before rolling the camera.

We were also worried about how the shot of the hand rolling onto the floor may look. As it was just papier mâché, it didn’t have the right weight, and getting it to roll from the right angle was going to be a challenge. We succeeded, however, though it took a lot of rehearsing. It was nerve wracking as we only had one take to get it right - as the blood would stain the carpet.

I was amazed with how good the hand looked on camera….

Thursday, 9th Nov 2023

2:35 PM

Late start today. I just took my medication. I took it with the following meal:

creamy pesto pasta

pan fried chicken breast

chocolate cake ball

I washed down the meds with cinnamon water (warm water with a cinnamon stick inside). I got a little concerned about my chest pains from yesterday and I remember reading that cinnamon helps with blood pressure. Hopefully, taking cinnamon regularly will help mitigate the discomfort.

Successful self-management doesn't happen overnight. Evidently. despite getting excited about my newfound self-control, the excitement wasn't enough to get me out of bed until around 12:30 PM. I found myself reluctant to take my medication. Maybe because it means the day is starting and I just didn't wat to start it.

It has been around 15 minutes since I took the medication and I'm starting to feel dizzy. And sleepy.

I suppose this is the "Flurry" state I mentioned yesterday.

I planned to share some insights about my family (particularly my older brother, Kari) when I shared my diagnosis and treatment last night at dinner. However, it's getting challenging to hold a pencil. I will continue in my next entry.

11:06 PM

I got heavily side-tracked by about 6 PM and that's why I updated so late.

So I ended up passing out for the majority of the medication's active period. Instead of oscillating between "Flurry" and "Clear" states, I felt an immense, heaviness weighing me down. I was switching between being "stuck in a whirlpool" and just barely floating above the surface. I thought I could take advantage of the "Clear" states and get some reading done, but the most I could do was shakily read aloud one paper's theoretical framework before I collapsed and fell asleep.

When I woke up, I felt hungry. This was strange because I was supposed to have an hour left of the medicine's effect. Rather than just hungry though, I felt like I wanted to bake something. I found a simple recipe and just got up and went downstairs.

I know it sounds perfectly logical and uneventful:

Think of an action -> Execute

But I haven't been able to do this in about two years! I used to bake a lot back in 2020 when I was at my lowest because I needed a tactile hobby and sweets comforted me. After I started to have severe problems in self-management and academics, I couldn't find baking enjoyable anymore and I lost motivation.

For the past two years, I have gotten too caught up in not being able to decide what I want to do and what I should be doing. This time I didn't have a problem at all! It was so easy! I just thought of making cookies and my body followed through! Within half an hour, I had them baking in the oven!

Does that count as an impulsive decision? Maybe. If it does, then it's been bad, I can't even direct my energy enough to be impulsive!

I didn't manage to finish the paper. I did have thoughts buzzing around from it, though. So for the last half hour of the medicine's effects, I was talking about the topic with my sister. It's a topic I'm genuinely interested in so I know I didn't pass out from boredom: The differences in Anglophone and Sinophone audiences in regards to homoerotic incest fiction. It's literally about ugly little weirdos like me who have super niche interests. There's no way I passed out because I was bored.

It got me thinking about BL and its female community and how it might relate to psychodynamics. Words like "fantasy" and "delusion" get thrown around a lot in BL circles but I think there's a genuine reason to believe it would be used as a tool since the BL community itself started out as women bonding over transgressive fiction.

I'm going off tangent.

To sum it up, I think I handled the medication a bit better this time. I was passed out for a good portion of it, sure, but I didn't feel the chest pains when it wore off. I felt fine. Yesterday, I felt like I'd been hung out to dry for a few hours after the active period. Hopefully, tomorrow, I'll adjust better.
