Notes : Okay I don’t have a lot of requests about Gavin so I decided to use him for this one, I hope its ok :) (I need more about Kara too ;-;)

Puppy

"I hope he's not going to be angry..." you mumbled under your breath.

Your hands full of moving fur, you tried to open the door of your apartment. A laugh escaped you when the puppy decided to lick your face and you put him down to let him in. You closed behind you and decided to take everything you bought for him out of the bag on your shoulders. Food, toys, a bowl and a lot of other stuff - you wondered for a moment how you managed to put everything in your bag.

You whistled the puppy and he ran right at you, yapping happily. Loking at the clock on the wall, you frowned a little and decided to hide your new friend in the bedroom, before going back in the living-room. You decided to act like you lked at the TV and waited for Gavin to come back. He sent you a message when you were at the pet store and you knew he was going to be here in less than five minutes now.

You tensed when you heard the key in the lock - maybe it wasn't a good idea ? Well, you could bring the puppy back in the store but you did not want to.

When your boyfriend entered in your apartment you jumped right on him and you steal him a kiss. He smiled at you and took his cop jacket off.

"Hey love, missed me, don't ya ?"

You snorted at that and bumped his shoulder.

"Smartass." you answered with a grin.

He pulled you in his arms for a hug and sighed loudly in your neck. You ran a hand in his back and pushed some hair who were in front of his eyes.

"You seem exhausted... you should take some vacation, you know ? We could go somewhere..."

"I can't for the moment... There is all this shitty stuff with the androids... I can't leave in the middle of their fucking revolution..."

You didn't say anything at this and decided to bring him on the sofa instead. You knew Gavin never liked androids - hell, he hated them, if you were honest with yourself - but as long as he wasn't part of those stupids protests in Detroit where androids were beaten until the shut down, you were ok with his point of view. After all, he got his reasons he told you about a year ago.

You were going to add something else about vacations when a sudden yelp coming from the bedroom was heard. Gavin straightened from his place in the sofa and looked at the locked door of your bedroom.

"What was that ?" he asked after a moment.

You smiled weakly at him and tried :

"A surprise ?"

He frowned and stood up to go to the door. He opened it and his eyes widened when the baby husky started to ran towards him, sniffing him and wagging his tail. He looked at you and you mumbled :

"I wanted to talk about this but... you're never home... it's not a complain ! But it's been a while since I wanted to have a dog and with those problems with the androids, I knew you didn't have the time to talk and think about it so... I bought it myself..."

Since he didn't say anything, you started to fidgeting your hands and added :

"I'm still trying to find a job but well, you know like me it is really difficult for the moment, so I thought that I could have some company during the day when you're not home."

Gavin was still silent and after some seconds, he crouched down and started to stroke the puppy between the ears.

"What's his name ?"

"Snowflake... I know it's totally cliché and common for a husky but I like it."

You heart started to flutter when you saw Gavin smile at the little dog.

"I like him. He is cute. We can keep him."

"Really ?!"

He stood up and gave you a peck on the lips. You giggled, closing your eyes for a moment at the feeling of his arm around your waist.

"Of course babe. I always loved pets, especially dogs and cats, but since I lost the one I had when I was younger, I never bought or adopted one by myself. I was probably still sad 'bout my old doggy, ya know ? It's a good thing you decided to adopt one."

You smiled at him and grabbed Snowflake to pet him. You knew that a lot of people never liked Gavin but you weren't like them and you were probably the only one to saw him like this, with a fond smile as he played with the puppy.
