I was asked what class my OCs would be if they were in SW:TOR instead of FFXIV. An interesting question, let's see...
Kal'istae would definitely be a Jedi Consular, and while she would start out a Sage, there's definitely hints she would be a baby Shadow under Theron/Thancred's tutelage once the galaxy/world has been saved and she can finally pursue her true dream of being a student.
Ainyan would absolutely be a Scoundrel, using fists and scattergun in equal measure as she wades right into the thick of things. Her cocky grin and quick temper would be right at home among the crew of the XS Stock Light Freighter, and I'm sure she'd charm the pants off of Theron/G'raha with noooo problem.
Kyszarin, my brooding bunny boi, would be much more at home on the Imperial side as an Imperial Agent, operative-flavored with hints of sniper as he hides among the shadows and watches everything with a detached air, waiting for that perfect shot. Raine definitely has Raina Temple vibes; the similarity in names and personalities isn't intentional, but makes me laugh all the same.
Szah'li's underlying anger and ever-present distrust would be a perfect fit for the Sith Warrior's angst, and his intention to be both the shield to prevent such tragedy from striking him again while being the sword that will deal retribution on those who would hurt what's his makes him a Juggernaut. Who will be his Lana Beniko? I know who I'm leaning towards, but he's not far enough along in his story to say for certain.
Ciprys is very much a Sith Inquisitor; oh, she's not insane, certainly not like my Kale'syn, but she's most definitely got a wide, deep streak of seething emotion that prevents her from being the Jedi equivalent. Cirdan is her Andronikos, without, again, that crazy bent; he's her wily pirate who wants nothing more than to give her everything she wants and help raise her apprentices (and/or children) to great and terrible heights.
@actualanxiousswampwitch, this was an awesome exercise! It was fun to really dive into my characters' personalities and think about how they would fit the SWTOR archetypes.
I'm definitely tagging @eorzeashan in this - I'd like to see your thoughts. And @thelealinhypehouse, I know you have played XIV, though I haven't seen you talk it up much. But if you've thoughts, I'd love to hear them! :D
Hmm. Now I kind of am curious as to what flavor of Warrior of Light my SWTOR characters would be... >.>

do you play Swtor? do you have any ocs?
I do play swtor! I have some ocs but they only live in my head I haven't written any fics or done a ton of character building with them. I think right now I have like 13 characters in my legacy. sith inquisitor is my favorite class story by far and I love my og murder baby Hladomore very very much 🥰
Tumblr media
(there is this screenshot redraw I did of one of my other SI skyleau which I'm pretty proud of)
I don't do operations and I still haven't gotten to all the end game content/storylines because I just keep making alts and redoing the class stories

Video
[transcript, partially because Bandicam decided that the first few seconds of video weren’t important...
Watcher Two: Agent-- (not sure what the hell Bandicam did here, because there’s more to the line, and it’s just... gone?)
Tulia: Brief me on what I need to know.
Watcher Two: I told you, I’ll send you the details once you’re on-site. I promise I’m not trying to make your life difficult. This is procedure.
Tulia: Are you always so difficult?
Watcher Two: Look, I-- I could give you the whole speech about how I’m smarter than you and more experienced than you--but I won’t. We’re going to have to work together as equals. I’ll try to remember that if you will. All right?
Tulia: I’m the one out in the field, Watcher Two. I do the job and take the risks. We’re not equals.
Watcher Two: Then get used to treating me as one anyway. For now, I need to get back to work.]
So this is Tulia, my Engineering Sniper (hello, and welcome to my Personal Agent Hell, where I live now). I was trying to make Tulia just an all-around not-good bean and have her make all the dark, mean, bitchy choices, and damn I don’t like it.
However, god I love pissing Keeper off, and please look at how short Kaliyo is compared to a BT3 female agent. Because BW often forgets what height models are, sometimes Kaliyo doesn’t quite come up to Tulia’s shoulder and I fucking love it (mosty because then I have a more accurate representation of how Mena would look against all of her companions).

4. What old character would you love to bring back?
Tumblr media
I mean, most of my old RP characters have been buried and gone for many years. The ones I played before were in games I no longer am subscribed to and won’t be returning to.
That being said…. Phoebe Venatrix was the name of my character on SWTOR and I liked the huntress aesthetics of my Bounty Hunter enough to carry over the name.
I have my 1.0 legacy character from pre-calamity times that I honestly should play more. The story building around why or how a viera ended up at Carteneau is honestly enough to keep me away. She’s just going to straight up be a WoL, so honestly not much to rp.
Once upon a time, I did a pen and paper FF12 rp with friends from WoW and I chose to play a viera all those years ago. Its’s why all my characters are pretty much bunnies at this point.
My oldest character is my blood elf fire mage on WoW. I haven’t logged in there for yeaaaars and don’t intend to obviously for reasons. Used to do walk up rp back in the day, which was fun but I left after MoP.
Long ass explanation summed up? I don’t really have any characters I’d want to bring back, I’m honestly really happy with my current ones!
@flamesworn thanks for sending in the question! ❤️

another random rant about mmos. (and a extra thing)
OK so a little thing about my history with MMO’S  First MMO was WoW.  I played Wrath first because im a young baby so NO i didnt played since Vanilla ok?
After 4 Years i began to play SWTOR. I had already been playing KOTOR 1 and 2 and when they annouced SWTOR i jumped into BETA like a lesbian when her Butch GF comes back home horny. ANYWAYS. I played each and every class but when BETA was over i took a year to let the game grow and fix bugs. Then i went to Subscribe for 3 months in which i went HARD on playing.
Then i begaN to branch up. BSO, Archage and ESO. I didnt liked ESO too much at the start because it wasnt as familiar of a play style as SWTOR and WoW. Archage i stayed for a few months until i realized that the htings i wanted to do were locked up behind a year long grinding efford. I still play but like a turist mostly. BSO i played a day before my Notebook began to threath me with going nuclear.
Nowdays im playing DCUO. PotatoPC friendly and super fun. A bit simple but it has a nice progression and a lot to do. It does need a way to make things a bit more clear
At this point i have forgotten about what i was going to rant about TBH. But.BUTT. One thing that made me stay for at least one week more in SWTOR and WoW and BSO each time i went back to play was MOTHERFOOKING PETS.
I MEAN. They are throwing you against the most evil things ever. You are recluting people to fuck up that other group of bitches your boss doesnt like and being honest you kinda hate one half and thrist for the other. But between fucking them up, Torturing people, destroying fortress and sharing the message that the other faction are a group of bastards. What does the developers throw you?
PETS. HEY YOU. USELESS AND BORED LESBIAN. HERE’S A MOTHERFUCKING BUNNY. NOW YOU CAN MAKE IT FIGHT TO THE DEATH FOR LOOT!
W.T.F BUNNIES ARE CUTE? NOT MIGHTING MACHINES? AND THEN WHAT DOES MY BRAIN SAYS? HEY. THAT SHIT IS CUTE. I WANT MORE. A Week later i go from 1 cute bunny to having 46 pets, each and EVERY SINGLE one with names, a backstory and even a personality wrote in my diary.
SO YEAH. MMO’S NEED MORE PET THINGS. BUT NO DEATH BATTLE. BE MORE LIKE POKEMON DUDE. THEY HAVE DEATH BATTLES AT 6 AND THEN BEAUTY PEAGENTS AT 9. IM OUT
)OH RIGHT. THE EXTRA THING.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
I been getting some attention this days from my posts and each like makes me say YAY out loud and fills my heart with hapyness UwU

10 Faves in 10 Fandoms
I was tagged by: @itstheelvenjedi
Thank you!
I had to search my brain for 10 fandoms I am in/have been in/were once in!
Still, here goes...
SWTOR - Theron Shan
Tumblr media
Obviously, he’s awesome. Adorably awkward and yet badass, he and Lana are tied for SWTOR faves. There’s plenty of others with honourable mentions too, like T7, Keeper, Kaliyo, Kira, Ashara and a ton of others.
Borderlands - Zer0
Tumblr media
I always like playing a sniper, and he’s also surprisingly hilarious. Also, a ninja. Ninjas are cool. I also loved Maya.
Vampyr - Jonathan Reid
Tumblr media
Uh, vampire doctor? Yes.
Mass Effect - Kaidan Alenko
Tumblr media
Kaidan is a sweetheart, a badass, and he’s got the loveliest voice. I broke my pattern and played a female PC for most of Mass Effect, but when I learned he was romancable by male PCs in 3, I replayed the entire series again, just to get his romance path.
inFamous: Second Son - Abigail ‘Fetch’ Walker
Tumblr media
She is so cool.
Deux Ex - Adam Jensen
Tumblr media
Oh Adam, if only your series wasn’t cancelled to make way for the Avengers game. I’ll miss your dorky snark and your ridiculously pointy facial hair.
Dragon Age - Fenris
Tumblr media
Just... he’s great. I used to be an Anders stan, but Fenris really grew on me after I did his romance path. Elves. <3
Star Trek Voyager - Captain Kathryn Janeway
Tumblr media
Yeah, I know. Voyager reruns were on after school before fandoms were even a thing, and she was one of the first female characters that made me want to be just like her. She was tough and badass, but she was also kind and I liked her lovely voice. She and Sam Carter from SG1 were my heroes, back in the day!
Lucifer - Detective Chloe Decker
Tumblr media
Another female character that managed to be awesome without being the stereotypical ‘strong female that can only show it by being edgy and hyper-aggressive’, which is a trope I never liked. I loved that was a mother but wasn’t relegated to a passive ‘motherly’ role. Also, her sass is legendary!
Detroit: Become Human - Connor RK900
Tumblr media
The perfect blend of adorably sweet and absolutely fucking savage.
Tagging: @darkshadeless, @tearlessrain, @avashnea, and um, @bunny-loverxiv !

It just occurred to me that Tatooine's Dune Sea could have been a real water filled sea before the planet was destroyed. There are so few rock structures.
Checked Wookieepedia. I was Right! Swtor is Very good at making environments. I've been playing for years and am still impressed.

Hello, you have been identified as An Awesome Writer™! Congrats, you rock! So that all of your readers can shower you with some extra love today, please tell us your favourite five (or as many as you want) stories of yours and why you like them and then send this to another five fic authors you think deserve this title! ❤
Aww, Nonny! Thank you so much! You are way too kind! ♥♥♥ I always get a little self-conscious talking about my stuff, but I’ll give it my best shot! I’ll probably just limit this to SWTOR fics, since that’s what I’ve been writing for the past… wow! Almost two years now!
By Guidance of the Stars - My Fic O’ Doom (or at least part of it) that’s been in progress for almost two years. I had started working on this on my Christmas break back in 2016 to help me get in the mindset for what I thought was going to be an epic timeskip fic, and it (and the other parts of this story that now have been split up) wound up forming the foundation for most of my SWTOR fic. And like the Energizer Bunny, it keeps going… and going… (although it should be finished very soon! 🤞)
Dance with the Devil - The tiny self-indulgent piece of h/c that somehow spiraled into a 20K+ word angstfest. I think this is probably still one of my favorites because it both plays on a lot of my favorite tropes (I am apparently very fond of unreliable narrators tripping on high fevers), and simultaneously digs deeper into Theron and Grey’s characterization (individually and as a couple), while also in a way pitting them against each other, as their mutual devotion and self-sacrificing natures bring about both conflict, fluff, as well as the final resolution.
Unsent Correspondence - I wound up stalling out on my full/long timeskip fic because writing a sprawling five-year epic documenting the struggles of Theron Shan hinted at in canon was a bit… daunting. But after thinking about it a bit, I was able to come up with a way to condense down a large portion of what I had wanted to write into a series of letters (plus epilogue) based on a snippet of text in-game. I really liked how this one turned out, and I think it managed to accomplish most of what I had been wanting to explore with the original idea.
Anniversary Gifts - What started out as a semi-crackfic response to an ask morphed into a sugary piece of fluff that is ridiculously sweet and saccharine. Because that’s apparently how my adorkable idiots roll. Also for some bizarre reason I had started writing it inside of the Tumblr ask window, and then kept saving drafts over the course of the day I wrote it, risking calamity every five minutes because Tumblr is not exactly the most stable website.
In the Serpent’s Den - Much shorter than the others on this list, a very broody and introspective piece from Theron’s POV while he’s undercover with the Order of Zildrog. Of all the fic I wrote while our prolonged agony (aka Fractured Alliances) was going on, I think this one slots into canon the neatest, which always makes me happy. Although I think I may have broken half of Tumblr with the angst on this one. (Oops).

Just for my own amusement, typing up who I’d instinctively pair with each SWTOR class. Have only completed IA and halfway through SW, so most of these are based on thumbnail sketch concepts. I also don't feel the need to be bound by class availability. Headcanons are fun.
Jedi Knight: Kira. The one most likely if this were a movie. Might as well go with it and the drama.
Jedi Consular: Qunn. Otherwise known as "I have a fic bunny that I may or may not do anything with." Post KOTFE only. She’s accustomed to leadership and diplomacy, but her work was less glamorous and potentially more heartbreaking than the Knight’s. She might be the person to push Quinn along his path of development, while respecting his competence. And that she is the only person who can free the Empire he loves makes for some interesting drama.
Trooper: Lana. Just from playing around on Ord Mantell, Trooper seems to incline itself to a certain pragmatism. Lana is practical without being ruthless, she respects non-Force users, and who doesn't like starcrossed lovers who find themselves not so crossed.
Smuggler: Koth. The opposite of Trooper. The Robin Hood who doesn't think very much of either faction. Koth is all about helping civilian and stands almost entirely outside of the Republic/Empire fight.
Sith Warrior: Light Side Jaesa. I’m running this right now and you can pry this ship from my cold, dead hands. The idealistic revolutionaries against the world and almost impossible odds.
Sith Inquisitor: Andronikas. Honestly, SI is the one I know the least about, and I'm going almost entirely off my desire to romance a character voiced by Steve Blum.
Bounty Hunter: Torian. Knows how to cook, a complete sweetheart, and a voice that could melt butter. Move over BH, *I* want him. And there's nothing wrong with a little self-indulgence.
Imperial Agent: Arcann. Based almost entirely on how I played said agent. I was as bad as it was possible to go until the middle of Act Two, where I started dragging myself to the light. Just like Arcann. And the Shrine of Healing is so important to both. So it feels like they should be together from a narrative standpoint.

5, 9, 13, and 15 for the 'get to know your writer' asks! :)
Thank you so much for the asks! I really had to think about a couple of them. :)
5) character you were most surprised to end up writing
Honestly? Theron Shan. (I know, I know. I can hear everyone’s jaws hitting the ground from here.) Ellie and Corey have been kicking around in my head for years – I rolled Ellie for a SW tabletop with friends back in 2011, prepping for SWTOR to launch. Then last fall I finally got back into actually playing SWTOR, rolled a Knight to counter my Eeeeeeevil™ Inquisitor, and tripped & fell headfirst into the Theron Shan trashcan (and haven’t been able to find my way out yet).
9) what, if anything, do you do for inspiration?
Have a bout of insomnia! Well, sorta that, but I tend to listen to music a lot when writing and it changes based on who I’m writing about and what’s happening. Prompts are also super helpful! (until evil plot bunnies jump into my head, then all the prompts sit in my inbox while I chase that damn bunny down)
13) your strengths as an author
My vocabulary? (That sound you hear is thesaurus.com laughing spectacularly in the background: “Uh, how many times did you try to use ‘gently’ in that one h/c fic you wrote?”) In all seriousness, I think that I write well, with appropriate grammar/syntax/spelling/language usage (and an extraordinary amount of commas, lol!).
15) why did you start writing?
So, I’ve had all these stories floating around in my head for years (for some of my OCs) and it was getting crowded in there! But what pushed me to actually put fingers to keyboard and hit “post” was a fluffy prompt post from swtorprompts the week of the 5.4 datamine. I was like, I’ve got some time, I’m gonna actually do this instead of just thinking about it for a damn change.
And the rest is history?

Interview Meme
[So I checked our email last night, but also had an epiphany about being able to see tumblr notifications on the “activity” page (I’ve never needed to do that on my personal blog) -- I found like 3 memes waiting! XD Thanks for tagging us, memers. Dani’s been crazy-busy/generally busier than me, but here is me answering on my own behalf~]
11 questions - Answer 11, create a new set of 11 for people to answer. (Zzz not tonight)
Questions from @oolathurman:
1. If you were in the zombie apocalypse and you HAD to work with other survivors, what would your ideal position in the group be? For example: the leader, the muscle, the medic, etc.
Lord help me. . . I need my meds so I’m doomed. :p Hierarchy-wise, though, I thrive as a Second-in-Command supporter/people-coordinator. I think. And according to my zombie survivalist pals my valued talent is gardening.
2. If you were going to be in a movie, what sort of genre of movie would you want to be in?
Fantasy. ANIMATED fantasy. MAGICAL GIRL ANIME FANTASY. -- When Lord of the Rings was released I was in highschool & used to fantasize about being an elf (possibly Galadriel).
3. What color would your lightsaber be and why? (rainbow/etc counts)
Purple! Because it’s my favorite. I’m that person who would outfit my entire house from www.thepurplestore.com if I could.
4. If you found out you had the Force and somehow immediately knew exactly how to master such a skill, what would be the first fun thing you do?
Jump up on the roof. Heck yeah.
5. Who is one character, in any form of media, that you always find yourself going back to think about? Who is it that you admire?
Ohh, tough. If I just stick to Star Wars, I’ll say Ahsoka. I don’t have to tell any of /you/ that Clone Wars was an amazing show. ;p Then I had an Edge of the Empire RP character who fervently hero-worshipped her as rebel inspiration, so that mmmaaybe rubbed off on me. (Tho Satine might have been my fav character in that show, I don’t often remember she exists because Leia & Padme eclipse her in a general sense)
6. How many pillows and/or stuffed animals do you have on your bed?
One pillow, one plush bunny from Dani to hug. <3
7. Regardless of the character’s moral compass, who did you always think looked the most badass and that you’d totally dress up as for halloween?
I’ve always wanted to dress as Princess Zelda. Or Link. Who are the GOODEST, most moral kind of badasses so that’s fine.
8. If you could just immediately know one language (or one dialect of a language, if it has multiple dialects), what would it be?
It’d be one of the forms of Chinese (after doin’ more research to fully decide). True fluency in French would be useful here in Canada (I know SOME), but I’d rather cheat my way to the most-spoken and very-challenging-to-learn language (which is very different from English). I’d appreciate the number of films I could suddenly understand.
9. Who’s in your favorite rarepair? (can be romantic/platonic/etc)
Well. As rare as I can think of: one time Dani stated that Vowrawn would strike up a relationship with Talos (who is MORE THAN FORTY YEARS OLD I don’t care what the SWTORpedia profile has to say). I am on-board for that charming gay concept.
10. What is one trait that you find that a lot of your characters have in common? (eg, courageous, stubbornness, etc)
I guess MOST of them are decisive/confident, actually. If I play-act with their attitude in mind, then I can fake away some of my social anxiety interacting with people in a Tabletop or an MMO. That quality applies to all but one of my SWTOR alts! Jedi knight, smuggler, commando, warrior, (planned) inquisitor, agent -- everyone except my consular, Arameis. He is the reverse: constantly dwells in self-doubt. Has zero self-esteem/regard for himself. I, uh, more-or-less invented him to express some personal feelings in early highschool -- then turned him into the goodest, most moral paladin, and fell in love with the charm of the combination. Incidentally, Dani and I name Link after him in our playthru of Zelda games. :)
11. If you had to pick one song from before the year 2000, what would it be?
. . . . . Prior to 2000 I knew only movie songs/musicals and the album Up by Great Big Sea. Which IS a good album my dad had but like-- my Christian parents just weren’t pop music fans and my older brother was almost no help either (although he did bring us Coldplay) and I had no friends!!!!!!!!! :))))))  *wipes sweat* Uh, so. OH I know-! Here’s one right on the millennium border which obsessed me completely. The opening theme for “the 1999 animated series”, Cybersix:

You know what’s neat in SWTOR. It is a lot harder to get a Light side action when playing Empire. Often times dark side points are easy to get. But Light you have to go through loops and work for them.
It’s harder to get Light side point on Empire side then it is to get dark side points on the republic’s side. Which is fitting to how star wars has described the dark side. The “easier power” and stuff.

playing a Sith is so fun because of how out of touch they can.
I changed up my warrior's armor after Darth Baras made her a lord. But then he sent her to Nar Shadaa and I thought she'd look so out of place.
apparently not. Because she walked into a Republic safe house and didn't get noticed Dressed like this
Tumblr media
First off how??? secondly I love it.
She just killed the guard snuck in unnoticed and chilled there watching a meeting until there was a good point to be dramatic.
Tumblr media
this is ridiculous. I love it. There was definitely force tricks involved.
The Sith Warrior has some amazing stealth skills.
