Any Kai/Tyson headcanons?

I'm glad you asked.

I don't see them getting together until post-GRev, BUT if they did. Holy shit would I rewrite GREV to be the most angst broken up TyKa fic ever where they eventually get back together.

So that being said. Post-GRev.

I think post GRev, Kai would be able to open more to Takao. But that’s not to say that Takao accepts that initially. He has trust issues and Kai constantly leaves. He’d have to prove to Takao that he’s here for the long haul. Also its always a looming thought in the back of Takao's head that Kai is going to leave. He always leaves.

And maybe Takao needs a lil bit to figure out his sexuality. He’s always had some type of feelings towards the phoenix, but now it’s putting more clarity on them. It’s definitely more than just a rivalry for each other. They’re so… they’re each other’s opposites.

Communication is their big issue. They both have trouble expressing themselves. Takao explodes, while Kai disappears. The world could burn down from their arguments. they’re both so headstrong and neither want to admit to being wrong, even when the blame is equally shared. 

When they’re alone, Kai is so soft for Takao. His guard is down and its so easy being open and exposed. Vulnerable. Kai resting his head in Takao’s lap, reading a book, while Takao is playing some video game, cARDING HIS HANDS THROUGH KAI’S HAIR WHEN HE DIES AND IS IN A LOADING SCREEN. Kai giving these special expressions and smiles that are for Takao’s eyes only. 

They can be each other’s rock when they’re feeling low. Some days are more of a struggle than others. Takao struggles with his insecurities and Kai struggles with his anxieties. Wiping tears in dark on hoodie sleeves. Or kissing away salty tears. Reassuring kisses all over. Also. Takao kissing Kai’s post Brooklyn scar over his eye.

Them playing out their rivalry for the cameras, then going home together with trophies and checks, wrapped up around one another. one. Laughing about their battles. Them working on their blades together and getting secretive about their upgrades when it comes time for tournaments, because they will always be each other's greatest rival. Them doing a doubles tournament and running away with the whole thing because they play off of each other so well. ALSO just think about Dragoons winds feeding Dranzer’s flames. (They might get a little carried away and again they need to break out the fire extinguishers, and Hiwatari Enterprises is writing another check to fix the damage that Kai has caused)

Them going through photo albums and Takao making fun of Kai’s clothes and Kai smuggling going, but you were still in love with me back then, so it couldn’t have been that off putting. And Takao flushing HARD.

Kai - Physical touch

So they're always touching in some way. Takao holding onto the tail of Kai’s scarf. Kai standing next to Takao with his arm pressed up against Takao’s. Sitting practically on top of each other. When they go out to eat, their feet are always touching. Kai rubbing his foot up Takao’s leg, looking nonchalant as ever, while Takao is fumbling and red. Takao kissing all over Kai's exposed shoulders. Also Takao marking Kai as his, because hickies look so pretty on Kai's fair skin, and Takao just DOES not bruise, much to Kai's displeasure.

Kai doesn't understand Takao’s need, at first, for him to go with him for errands. Doesn’t understand why Takao wants him to sit next to him when he’s playing video games. But slowly he gets it. And then he’s the one offering Takao the opportunity to do mundane things with him. Going to a konbini together to get drinks and snacks. The parts store. Walks. Kai’s new go to reading place is Takao’s bed, with Takao playing video games or watching anime. And Takao convinces Kai to watch anime with him, and just sit still.  

(Also hear me out. Hiromi AND Max plotting together to get these two together. But it backfires. 

HEAR ME OUT. 

Hiromi is always hyping Kai up to Takao, so Takao is like okay>????? And? Want me to put a good word in for you?

Max does the same to Kai. He hypes up Takao to Kai. And Kai is all raised eyebrows, and is like if you like Takao you should ask him out, but I thought you were with XYZ.

And eventually Hiromi and Max are fed up and are like you two need to get together and stop this nonsense, but TyKa is like oh were already dating”

And Rei being like you two didn’t know? Is that why you two were being so weird?)

(Another idea I like is, Hiromi recognizing that the two of them have feelings, but Kai is too shy? To do anything about it, and Takao is too dense, and is fighting some internal demons [his bisexuality] so when Takao asks her out, out of obligation, idk he feels like he should be with her. Everyone is saying so. Trying to push them together. And it's tiring, so he does.

And HIROMI. AN ALLY. Just like metaphorically holding his hand through his revelation that it’s okay to like guys and want to kiss his teammate.  There’s a TyKa fic I would love to read. Also her just like gently nudging Kai to do SOMETHING. And hes so confused bc Hiromi and Takao are dating? And How does she know?????)

I'm going to assume you mean as a couple because as individuals this answer is different but:

Its the trust. ITS THE TRUSTTTTTT!!!! I have very long had a thing for the undying loyalty trope, I'm a fucking sucker for it, it hits so so hard but tgcf decided to utterly decimate me by making it returned in equal measure?

Because while Hualian only get to properly be a battle couple (also a sucker for that trope) once, they really embody what GETS me about battle couples.

Its about the Trust, like I said. That constant feeling that the other is Safe and Reliable. Hualian had so many moments where they could have had stupid arguments, I read a lot of YA growing up and I've read SO MANY mangas and manhuas and consumed quite a bit of romcoms. It is a STAPLE of the romance genre I immerse myself in (though I suppose I don't know for danmei since tgcf is my only one) for couples to have AT LEAST one stupid misunderstanding/argument but Hualian DOESNT!!! THEY DONT!!! Because when issues come up they always trust each other and think about the other person's side of things and talk about it. Sure they have things they don't perfectly communicate about but they don't let it become something that keeps them from trusting each other.

Its about the Understanding. They're in sync. They're on the same page. Its why they can flit around perfectly beside one another in battle. Its the easy and simple insertion of someone else into your life. The knowing how to move around the kitchen without bumping into each other. The noticing small mood shifts or anticipating needs.

Its about the Vulnerability that trust and understanding breeds. Because Hualian's entire relationship arc is about them learning to rely on someone else. Its about XL learning that forever does still exist and someone wants to be there for him and he doesn't have to save everyone but if he does he can at least have someone who WILL listen when he calls out that it hurts. Its about HC learning he doesn't have to constantly be strong and capable at all times because he is loved even when he brings nothing but himself to the table. It's about getting to be childish and finally being enough even with all your past mistakes.

And that undying loyalty trope that I adore so much in many a romance I have consumed? I've never minded that it was a little unbalanced most times. I've never minded that it can have a little bit of a power imbalance. But by the time Hualian gets married its NOT unbalanced. HC has loved for 800 years, truly undying loyalty with no expectation to ever have that returned. But XL loves in equal measure. He trusts HC to near stupid degrees. We know from the birthday extra that his heart races every time he so much as thinks of his husband (AND THAT HE CANT STOP THINKING OF HIM!) It's undying loyalty returned in equal measure with so much trust and desire to understand each other always and cultivating a space where they can be vulnerable around each other even if only for a little bit while the rest of the world is burning down around them.

Hualian is an insufferable mall couple, constantly clinging to each other and being overly cute all the time and they're SO FILLED WITH JOY! They are unabashedly in love and its not in the big grand gestures or the dramatic plot that that love is found. "Hualian makes everything a date" because their love is found in small places. It's found in cooking poisonous food and having calligraphy lessons. It's found in fixing up the shrine or talking about nothing at all. They are a sweeping, larger than life fantasy romance that is based on the small ways people can love. That is based on trust. That thrives in domesticity.

Hualian are both convinced their greatest accomplishment in life is marrying the other. They are both convinced they are the one who married out of their league. There is just so much joy that radiates from their relationship and it brings me joy to see that.

Ethan & Tiffany: Endgame (HC)

A quick reminder: I've rejected canon Third Year completely, so mind that none of OHTY bs happens in my E&T canon timeline.

A/N: I tried my best to write every major fact down - hopefully the final product isn’t too messy or too boring, I’m new to the headcanon business and this isn’t even written in the headcanon form because I’m a rebel lol

Now let’s check what’s in store for Tiffany and Ethan!

Children

Neither of them planned children in their lives; they were perfectly comfortable in the relationship they had—living together, advancing their glittering careers while supporting each other, slaying the game as the ultimate power couple.

But life has its ways, of course, and a week prior to their third anniversary Tiffany found out she was pregnant. The news sparked blind panic in the 30-year-old doctor; she thought her whole world fell like dominoes. Tiffany wouldn't intentionally start a family: she'd just started turning her dreams and plans into reality and she didn't even consider herself fit to be a mother (even though deep down she craved it).

She'd spent an entire week full of doubts, listing all her options, before she finally shared the news with Ethan. His reaction was surprisingly calm, considering his stance on having children. Based on the evidence gathered throughout the week, he'd already suspected pregnancy and did some calculations on his own.

They both agreed it wasn’t the best time—their busy schedules didn’t allow them to even reconsider the concept of starting a family. Nevertheless, the baby was coming, and their hearts filled with strange excitement. Having a baby on board seemed surreal at first, but after the dust had settled they felt oddly content about the unforseen circumstances.

E&T's world turned upside down the second their son was born. Raising a child happened to be the greatest challenge these two brilliant doctors had encountered. Luckily, they both relish a good challenge. Guided by the unexpected overflow of affection, they quickly settled into the alien routine of parenthood.

Nathaniel Jonah (also known as NJ, Nate) turned out to be a perfect blend of his parents' most prominent features & traits: Ethan's ocean eyes and stubbornness mixed with Tiffany's smile and warm heart.

Three years later, another surprise awaited. The most shocking thing about the second pregnancy was that it didn't happen sooner (they'd been exceptionally careless). Nicolette „Letty”, a spitting image of her mother, stole Ethan's heart from the start, bringing even more joy to their controlled chaos.

The fancy condo was too small for a family of four, so The Ramdams were forced to find a new home. They moved to a dreamy house in the Boston suburbs merely a month before their daughter was born.

The third one (for a change) received a proper invitation to this world. Tiffany wasn't the biggest fan of the idea of having another baby, but her window was closing (she was 38) and Ethan's palpable excitement tipped the scales. Everyone jokes Aine must be adopted because she's the most unproblematic angel, unlike her parents.

The family wouldn't be full without pets: Nettie (British Shorthair cat) & Hopper (English bulldog).

Marriage

Marriage was never on their agenda. Neither of them felt the need to make their relationship formal, it wouldn't change anything between them—they were already acting like a married couple. Both Tiffany and Ethan think there are more valuable symbols of love than some paper signed in the presence of everyone they know. Partnership they were in seemed like the most comfortable and obvious choice.

The topic resurfaced with the pregnancy news. Our good guy Ethan, our Mr Must-Do-What’s-Right, proposed to Tiffany on their third anniversary dinner, right after they discovered they were expecting. He did it because it made sense. Because it was convenient. Because it was a decent thing to do.

But guess what...Tiffany rejected the proposal. She didn’t want to marry out of obligation. If they were really going to jump into marriage, she wanted it to matter. Ethan understood her point of view, though it didn't stop him from jokingly annoying her on every given occasion that she rejected him.

He waited two years before popping the question again. This time she said yes.

Dr. Grumpsey was willing to agree on a lavish wedding if Tiffany would insist. Lucky for him, his woman hates big, conventional weddings and all that unnecessary attention around the reception. They're both very private people, so they planned the wedding they were actually excited about.

They eloped to Miami where it all started, exchanging vows to the accompaniment of the ocean waves, with little NJ by their side. The wedding reception was just three people enjoying their day at the beach.

As you may suspect, their friends and family flew into a rage when they found out the wedding took place behind their backs. Jackie's death threats were particularly disturbing, so E&T decided to throw an afterparty for their loved ones only.

Career

Tiffany saw her future in diagnostics and followed that path, balancing her personal goals with striving for improvement in patient care. The word about her accomplishments with one of the best diagnostics teams spread fast; shortly after her challenging yet successful residency, Doctor Addams quickly proved to be one of the most valuable and respected diagnosticians—not only at Edenbrook, but also statewide, and later nationwide. She cracked some of the toughest, most hopeless cases, saving lives of many patients considered lost causes.

During her first pregnancy, her career was already on high speed and the situation made her even more determined to keep it that way. She didn't want to sacrifice her newly established position and Ethan did everything he could to support her and her career development.

She remained a vital part of Edenbrook's Diagnostics Team under Ethan's leadership for a few years. Their minds combined gave spectacular results and above it all they truly enjoyed working together. However, when Letty was born sharing responsibilities at home and managing the time got significantly harder. With minimal hesitation, Ethan decided it was his cue to leave.

He'd been thinking about the change for much longer than he was willing to admit: over the years he'd accomplished everything he could dream of and Edenbrook had become more of a duty than a challenge. So he quit, leaving the team in the most capable hands of Doctor Addams-Ramsey.

For a year and a half The Ethan Ramsey was a stay-at-home dad, juggling family, research for his second book and setting up his clinic with none other than Tobias Carrick.

Ethan wasn't 100% convinced if starting the practice with Tobias would be a wise move, but the clinic exceeded his expectations. Apart from the great sense of accomplishment, he finally gained full independence at work. And there were no bloody interns to babysit anymore.

When little Ramdams got older, he approached Tiffany with a job offer; the best diagnostician in the country was the last missing link in his clinic. She let it marinate for a few years and accepted the offer at the launch of her second book, soon after Letty's 18th birthday.

Dorm Leaders With A Chubby S/o Hcs

This boy wouldn't really care about your looks honestly. Though I will say that it's most likely that his mother has set up standards in his mind about his partners.

That said, he very much would try to not have what his mother drilled in his head to influence him. He may make a mistake or two when on the subject of weight and looks but he tries very hard.

If he does say something, tell him immediately. Help him see the error of his and his mother's views. With time he will unlearn what his mother has taught him. He truly does love you.

If someone does make a comment about your looks or weight, Riddle will immediately go all red in anger. He will not tolerate anyone, not even his mother, saying such comments about you.

If you do want to lose weight or not sure how, this guys will go through many books and websites just for the sake of helping you. He has said he's wanted to be a doctor before, so this research will help him for his future.

You think this guy would care how you look? No, he doesn't. He also wouldn't let anyone "talk shit" either.

But I will say there is a slight difference if your feminine or masculine. If your more feminine or female, he's way more protective. He was taught to respect woman because of how powerful and strong they are in the Afterglow.

If you're more masculine or male, he won't be as protective honestly. But if he sees it's affecting you then he'll be the shoulder for you to cry on.

He may not understand fully on how much flack chubby people get. But he can greatly sympathize because of how he was treated because of his unique magic.

If you want to lose weight, Leona isn't the greatest for advice. He can give support, that's not a problem. But he mostly would want to sleep then work out with you. You have a better chance with Jack for advice on both diets and workouts.

Like Leona, Azul would not care at all how you look. But dare I say, he would have a preference for someone with a bit more meat to them. After all a restaurant owner has to know what food lovers like huh? I jest, he knows how you look doesn't have to be correlated to how you eat.

He's the most supportive one, in rival to Kalim that is, towards you. You don't have to prove anything to him that's related to your weight or looks, he loves you for you.

If you're confident in how you look that gives him more confidence actually, enough to where he might even openly eat his favorite foods if your with him and encourage him.

If he even hears a scoff in your direction, he's already scheming in his head. Even if it has nothing to do with your weight or looks, he already has a plan to doom any negative student. He's very, very, protective of you. Even the tweels actually, since they see how much Azul cares and loves for you, it would be a shame if someone decided to use you as a way to get back at him.

If you wish to lose weight, Azul is very much supportive. He may not be fully happy, but he will try his hardest to help you. He'll make meal plans, have vegan or vegetarian options on Monstro Lounge's menu, even count your calories if you ask. While he may do this, he'll allow you to have a cheat day with him. After all everyone deserves something fatty once in awhile.

Another boy who absolutely does not care about how you look! He only ever sees how you are as a person than how you look. Honestly he wouldn't even notice you're chunkier than most until you point it out. Well actually he would know, it just never registered.

He would most definitely spend so much money on tailored clothing for you, if most clothes didn't fit. Anything you want, he'll get, that doesn't change.

This includes the parties he hold, they're the same in the terms of having your favorite foods and activities. Jamil will practically have known all your favorite foods by heart because of Kalim requests.

He actually does get very defensive, but not in the way you would think. If he hears anything negative about you, he'll immediately but into the conversation and have compliments leave his mouth at a fast pace.

Kalim doesn't fully understand if you want to lose weight. But he'll still be supportive and ask Jamil for advice on what you and him need to do. He'll workout and go on a diet with you as well! Because it's more fun if you're not alone!

I'll be honest, this guy will care. But hear me out, it's not how you think. Yes he'll make a few subtle comments, but he believes it's to make sure you're in your top form and your most beautiful self.

If you're happy the way you are then he'll promptly be quiet, he would never actively hurt someone with words about their appearance. He knows everyone is different, everyone has their own qualities that make them beautiful. And as time goes on, he'll see that your extra weight is what makes you beautiful.

If say, your weight is do to something you can't control. He'll be very supportive and understanding, we all can't control how we look after all. If you feel sad over it he'll be there to be your shoulder to cry on and even give you a comforting spa day.

If he hears others talk negatively about you, then they have angered Pomefiore's queen. He won't tolerate anyone harassing nor belittling you. He may have been harsh with you at first, but he learned his own way and so he'll make sure others know better as well.

If you want to lose weight, Vil is the perfect person to ask for help! He may be harsh and tough on you, but it's to help you and motivate you. If you do need someone more comforting and soft Rook will be there to compliment and encourage you as well. It's very...contrasting, but it'll get the job done so you can be you're most beautiful self!

I'd say he doesn't care either, maybe also someone who prefers someone with more meat to cuddle. After all, I can see him actually having a cold body temperature even with the fire hair. Those with larger bodies are warmer actually, so you're perfect for cuddles!

He would want to give you loads of compliments, but his extreme shyness gets the better of him. So instead he plays games with you and even makes mods that let's you have your character be as chubby as you!!

Surprisingly Idia always cuddles you. You're just so warm and plush he can't help himself! Don't point it out though, or his hair will turn red and may cause another fire in his room.

When he or Ortho hears anything negative about you they immediately come to your defense, Ortho more often than Idia. Ortho sees you as another big sibling, so he defends you just like he does for Idia. Idia usually hacks his way into any naysayers phone to mess with them for a day, not usually anything too bad but something to make sure they don't say anything hurtful again.

If you want to lose weight, Idia will scour the internet for any info on how to help. He even would go outside to help you! Ortho will also be there so you have someone to workout with, meanwhile Idia is playing on his switch...he may also make exercise and active games at some point so you two can play together while working out!

This man also wouldn't care how you look. He may say one thing about how "humans have always looked so different from each other" in a way to comfort you.

He wouldn't really treat you differently, but he would give you all the support and compliments you need if you're insecure about your body.

You two do have lots of ice cream together, but if you ask for the sake of any medical reasons he's happy to get you your own sugar free or low calorie frozen treats!

If anyone in Diasomnia hears word of someone making negative comments about you, you have a whole dormitory behind you. The faes of the dormitory just can't understand why humans turn against each other over something as small as having a different body type.

If you wish to lose weight, Malleus won't know exactly what to do to help. He'll ask his dormmates for help, which will lead to Lilia trying to make home cooked diet meals. And for Sebek and Silver to have you join in their duels. Great Seven have mercy on them when Malleus finds out.
