Hello! Can I have a romantic or their love languages headcanons for Pavia, Click, Diggers and Horropedia with their fem s/o?

I read your rules before requesting this, not sure if I follow em correctly.

∘ PAVIA absolutely loves to spoil you, and expects to be spoiled as well. having been lived in the basement for so long, he hasn't really been "cherished" materialistically. when you and his relationship grow, he'll start to enjoy hugging you, cuddling you, etc. it'll take a lot of time for this to happen, however, because he's been isolated from society for so long. he's not really sure how to react if he's suddenly hugged or just touched in general in a romantic sense, so it'll take some time to get used to it. but once he does he'll sometimes just hug you out of the blue or even bite you (he means it affectionately, trust me).

∘ he'll randomly buy you jewelry, clothing, or anything that'll make you look pretty. on some mornings, you'll wake up and find a gift on your nightstand with a note saying, "don't expect this to happen often" knowing very well if anything reminds him of you, he'll buy it without hesitation.

∘ also buy gifts for him! he especially loves matching things, like necklaces, rings (take that as you will), etc. in the beginning of your relationship, if you buy matching things with him, he'll pretend not to care (at least he thinks he doesn't) but when he finally warms up to you he might just jump on you and pepper your face with kisses (and bites, too).

∘ CLICK doesn't talk much, nor does he really express his feelings. he has grown "numb" to many things because of what he's seen before he died, so not a lot of things shock him. he prefers you just nearby, in a calming silence as he looks through photos or takes photographs of things. he usually wants you to follow him -- or vice versa -- while he takes pictures of things he think you would like.

∘ he's not used to physical touch, if you're even able to make that work. he's also unsure of how to react to compliments/words of affirmation besides saying "thank you", "thanks", or "you too". that doesn't mean he doesn't appreciate them, however.

∘ whenever DIGGERS decides to go out -- which is almost everyday -- he never forgets to invite you. he likes to keep you by his side, either holding your hand or wrapping an arm around your waist. if he's busy holding bubbles, he'll usually ask if you can hug him, whether it's from the side or behind.

∘ you'll often invite you to his home, making sure that the guest room looks nice and tidy, just for him to insist on staying in your bedroom with you. whenever he sleeps, he usually drools on the bedsheets, holding you close to his chest tightly, but not enough to suffocate you.

∘ growing up in the foundation, HORROPEDIA wasn't really appreciated by the staff. he would often be criticized for his "peculiar obsessions and fixations" and his strange behavior. he doesn't want his partner to feel the way he has felt, so he likes to assure them that they're perfect in every single aspect.

∘ he loves to feel appreciated as well. if you're doing something together, no matter how simple, and you compliment him, he'll fight the urge to blush and suddenly embrace you. he masks really well and he reacts to compliments by other foundation members subtly with a simple "thanks" but when it's you, it's somehow different.

hiii, what did you think about the Haladriel moment in the forest after the battle? when they had their "bind it to my very being" conversation? I know many people don't think it was intended to be romantic or sexually tense but I thought his word choice, his reaction to her "I felt it too" and the staring contest they had after was kind of ... uh, not platonic. what are your thoughts on it?

It was definitely my wake up call that this ship was going to RUIN ME.

Before this episode, I had been like "lololol he has to be sauron, i guess, this is a fun show doing fun things, idk i guess they have chemistry, sure!"

After this episode, I was like "if halbrand isn't sauron WHAT ARE WE DOING HERE" and in that same ferocity of hope, I saw her turn to face him! Say I FELT IT TOO. That! was electric!!! That was definitely not platonic. (Okay, Charlie, I'll allow that it was COSMIC.)

It reminded me of how so many slash ships have that kind of moment? Like, the post battle quiet moments of connection? (lolol i am glad you are here with me, here at the end of all things, sam) And it was unique to have it in a het ship and what was going to become a villain/heroine ship??? What a gift???

Like, they had to be interrupted. They were going to bang on that log. I don't care if this gives me a UTI, she thinks, SMASH.

Things I love so much about that moment:

Sauron is having a coded conversation about binding power to himself (something he desperately needs if he wants to Heal Middle Earth), specifically thinking about how the connection they have in battle is such a power that he needs, craves. Sauron as a character is defined by need, want, longing. And as he says the essence of the agh burzum-ishi krimpatul line, it's about HER. (Slaps the void, we can fit all my screams in here.)

Galadriel, um, is like. Sadistically genocidal in this episode? Um. So of course. OF COURSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 Her character is defined by ambition and power and protection but also light. So when she says she FELT IT TOO, she is feeling the darkness, HER darkness --- he is her opposite and he is also her mirror. OF COURSE she is going to be compelled.

There's some talk in the tags about how this ship diminishes her, and I would counter with this: Sauron wants what she's having. She's the answer to healing Middle Earth. If you take what she does to Lothlorien with Nenya, and instead widened that scope by smushing his power with hers? Chicken in every pot, all the crops are watered, my skin is clear, etc. Bind it, baby, bind it to your very being.

The Boys #1 notes: pages 3-4

Page 3 introduces the main character, Hughie... No, sorry, "Wee" Hughie. Because he's Scottish? Like, I know the comics came first, but it's so intuitive that the everyman character for an American audience be an American that the shift to Scottish in the comics is jarring. He even ends up in America for most of the plot, so it's just a weird decision to make him Scottish... and good on the show for making him American.

Also, Hughie in the comics is about average height, so I'm not even sure what the "Wee" is about. It's not like he has dwarfism. It's even more inappropriate in the show because Jack Quaid towers above the other cast members, so it makes sense they dropped it there. Though, I think Frenchie calls him "Petite Hughie" at one point in a nod to the comics, apparently referencing his diminutive personality more than his actual height.

The more I think about it, "Wee" might just be bathroom humor. Like, "lololol, this guy's name has piss in it, what a loser" kind of humor. It is, sadly, not out of character for the comics, which makes it plausible in my mind.

If we're being generous, the "Hughie" part might be a nod to Huey P. Newton. Maybe? idk

So, what he does on the page is take his girlfriend Robin out for a date at the carnival. Robin demonstrates the presumed values of the reader, what the presumed white cishet male reader would see as a valuable girlfriend: a cute, busty, slightly nerdy-looking Velma type. Her skin tone is darker than Wee Hughie's, which was translated in the show into her being Hispanic, but I'm not sure she was intended in the comics to be anything other than a WASP type with a different skin tone.

The very first thing Wee Hughie does in the comic, our introduction to the character as the reader stand-in, is be homophobic. He tells Robin about going on UFO conspiracy websites and claims that aliens crashed at Roswell, that their bodies are kept in Area 51, and they're pink... because they're gay. Funny? I think we're supposed to laugh at him for being nerdy enough to go on these websites but find his squeamishness over gay people relatable.

He goes on to express fear of gay aliens abducting him and making him gay, which is just standard homophobia, seen today with "groomer" fearmongering. He then defensively claims that he's not homophobic. This... might be an intentional character flaw? But it is... played up for humorous relatability.

In the show, Hughie is an awkward straight ally who is totally fine with gay people, tries to be supportive, and stumbles a little. Thank you, Seth Rogen. (No, really. Seth Rogen has been an outspoken straight ally for years now. I credit him for all the progressive spins on comic homophobic content in the show.)

The page ends with Wee Hughie realizing Robin said that she loved him for the first time. They share a lovely romantic moment on page 4. I'm sure nothing on page 5 could possibly screw this up.

35. What’s your favorite fic you’ve posted?

lololol this question feels DIFFICULT to say the least!!!! however I really feel like the Natasha/Laura Endgame fix-it AU say you will is my most special baby because a) it took me months longer than I intended, because b) it morphed into my own personal tribute/farewell to Natasha, and kind of to Laura as well, since she's a character the narrative has really never cared to develop or explore in a substantial way, and also c) I poured a lot of my own shit into that fic, between Nat/Laura falling in love over mostly email and having an LDR (just like B and I lol), all of the Barton kids being autistic and thus having different traits of myself and my brother (mostly, neither of us have non-speaking periods), and Natasha being implied to be demisexual/ace-spectrum which is also me, lol. BUT obviously because of the kind of fic it is it doesn't get a ton of attention, so, sigh.

43. Is there a trope or idea that you’d really like to write but haven’t yet?

I know that I have talked about that Daredevil fic where Karen and Foggy have very sad grief sex because Matt is dead A LOT OF TIMES LOL and I stg I will finish it someday!!!!!!! As for a thing that I haven't written any of yet, I thought of a cute AU where Karen Page is the GM of a D&D group and Colleen Wing has a big crush on her (it WOULD just be blatant wish fulfillment bc my most embarrassing romantic fantasy involves Deborah Ann Woll being my DM sdjfdsokfj don't look at me) but I haven't done much with that yet, lol.

lol after looking through some of my AO3 comments someone said this about the Endgame AU, which just makes me really really happy:

Oh man, your Nat/Laura one was literally exactly what I wanted after episode 2 of Hawkeye, and I definitely messaged a friend about it going "LOOK THIS IS THE CONTENT THAT NAT AND LAURA DESERVE."

Ok I think the biggest thing that I want to let out is about;

Who Arisa ended up with?

Ah yes…back then it was so much fun to see my friends doing shipping war. I love you guys!

I made a bunch of AU ver of who Arisa ended up with so basically she can be anyone! I want to see Arisa with everyone like in otome game! But in actual long ass story that I wrote for more than 40 chapters I know I should decided the end game for Just a Fate.

I think I should let it out before I die ｡ﾟ(ﾟﾉ∀`ﾟ)ﾟ｡

Ok so, between the 2 main known candidates (actually it’s 3 if you saw the tags but weelllll) aka LaFate and NoName….

The endgame is NoName! ∑(ﾟДﾟ)

So in the proper Just a Fate (that I intended), Arisa ended up with NN lmaoooooo.

Tbh even I was surprised at myself for deciding NN to be the end game. When I first wrote this story I was planning for LaFate to be the end game. I WROTE THE FIC FOR HIM. I LOVE LF.

But then as I write the story, NN ended up being the one who is closer to Arisa’s heart? I didn’t mean for this!! But it just happened so naturally.

Okay…… why not LF?

LF and Arisa sure had special connection from back then. Yeah. Had. However Arisa feels like she isn’t the same person as her past and she slowly let go of that fact as spend her time with NN despite mistaking NN as LF from the past.

LF loves Arisa to death. He might look like he was trapped within the past but even in the present he sincerely loves the new Arisa. In fact in any AU, LF will still love Arisa. His fate is Arisa even if Arisa’s fate is not always with him. Tragically romantic.

So between LF or NN, it was simply Arisa’s choice.

Ok as I wrote this I feel bad for about LF lmaoooo don’t worry guys the universe is vast so ofc there will be another universe with LF as end game too! Heck! We can go 3P LF-Arisa-NN too!

That aside, yeah, the end game for that long ass fic I wrote ended up becoming NN.

Unlike LF who 100% devoted to Arisa in any universe, NN specifically falls in love with Arisa ONLY in this particular universe. That man is a bastard. He was playing with Arisa as he knows that LF is smitten to Arisa then NN used that as his advantage to make LF suffer. But as he does that, he ended up actually fallen in love with Arisa. Unfortunately he be like coming clean in the worst possible way….

NN: yeah I deceived you so I can make LF suffer!

Arisa: -shock-

NN: but that’s already in the past! I love you for real now!

Arisa: -way too shocked to listen to the rest of NN’s words-

Yeah……NN be like that. Cannot read the mood. At least he’s honest so that’s good(?)

Surprisingly tho, NN is actually truly a good friend of Arisa in any other timeline. In Just a Fate he only hold romantic feeling because it was a twisted surprise that he ended up falling in love for real as he flirted Arisa to make LF suffer. But other than that, he doesn’t hold that much attention to Arisa if she didn’t focus on him either. For example in Michael’s route, LF still loves Arisa but as Arisa ended up with Michael—NN doesn’t have the need to directly make LF suffer anymore. He’s just watching with popcorn lol. But in general, NN eventually does get a little soft spot for Arisa and Arisa herself likes NN’s bluntness so nevertheless they became good friends! In fact, their relationship is like that siblings who always fight and prank but cannot deny that they don’t dislike each other that much and cannot helped but care when the other side need it. The fact that Arisa is getting along with NN whether romantically or not will always make LF jealous lololol.

So to make LF jealous and suffer more, I do actually have another strong love candidate for Arisa. Maybe I wrote this story just to make LF suffer….

Ok so Just a Fate might seem like it’s NN vs LF but in fact there’s strong candidate. And that’s….1stDark aka Han!

You: ok Azu you already wrote 1stD route before what’s so special about it?

Me: WELL HE’S MORE SPECIAL THAN ANYONE IN TERM OF LORE

1stD is actually VERY IMPORTANT character that hold the key of world building of Just a Fate lore. Yeah it wasn’t revealed yet so it will make you ???

If I had the actual willpower to write the next chapter, I could actually start the arc that will explain the lore of JF world (I’m getting tired to type Just a Fate so I will shortened it now). If Arisa goes deeper about her own family, she will eventually go deep with 1stD’s existence.

Tbh 1stD feels like the hidden route of JF. If NN and LF are like the main poster of the story, 1stD is like the hidden setting that makes up the world history.

….now that I think about it, each characters in JF got hidden connection to the world lore. But I specifically mentioned 1stD because he is the important character in lore setting and he with Arisa got special troupe that I love.

If I were to describe the relationship…

NN-Arisa is moving on from the painful past into the bright future. LF-Arisa is the precious past continues to the bright future.

Then 1stD-Arrisa is holding each other hands as facing toward the painful past, painful present, and unknown future.

….yeah. It sounds dark isn’t it (not intentional pun). I will probably make a post about 1stD in details later. I love his complicated setting hehe.

P.S for Remy-neesan if you ever read this; I was so surprised you made NN as ML in your fic!! Lmao! Once again I’m so honored to be part of your fic. I really love the dynamic of my characters in your story. AND I’M STILL NOT RECOVERING FROM THE TWIST U GAVE TO ME. I swear if I wrote JF to make LF suffer, you wrote to make NN suffer. NN is such a good guy in ur fic….I’m so touched…… /plak

Hi! First of all I love LOVE your writing and have re-read everything but especially IVV multiple times. I did have some continuity questions about IVV that I'm hoping you can answer!

First, in the first chapter Cash says he's a level three somm, but in later chapters he's a master somm. Was this just something you changed your mind on or did Cash actually earn his master somm pin during IVV? Regardless, hoping we get some glimpses of his somm journey in future chapters!

Second, Nesta mentions to Cash that Tomas is her first boyfriend, which helps explain her blind spot towards his abuse to some extent, at least from Cash's perspective. But then during the trial her "high school boyfriends" are mentioned. Just curious if you meant Tomas was her first "adult" or "serious" boyfriend or something else? Obviously lots of reasons why people end up in abusive relationships so either way can work story wise, I was just wondering!

Crazy excited for whenever you are able to write and share more stories, whether it's IVV or some drabbles or anything else! Your dialog and pacing is absolutely superb!

Okay, let’s get into it!

Great catch on Cash’s somm level! I can’t say for sure if I originally intended for him to be in pursuit of his master pin or if this was just an typo, but I can confirm that Cash received his Master Somm pin while in London, and thus is already a Master Sommelier by the time he meets Nesta.

In Eyes of Texas Cash mentions to Rowan that he’s already passed the theory portion of the Master exam before he moved to England. It took Cash two years and three tries to pass the tasting portion, which means that Cash has been a Master Somm for about two years at the beginning on In Vino

As for Nesta’s romantic history, you hit the nail on the head. As we know, Nesta was serious and focused even when she was a child, and after her parents died and she stepped in to raise her sisters, even more so. So she dated a bit here and there when she was in high school, but she was leery of letting anyone get too close, and she was generally unimpressed with her options.

Tomás was her first serious boyfriend, and after you’ve had your first “serious” it shifts the way you perceive the people who came before. So either though Nesta might have dated several guys for a month or two in high school and maybe called them “boyfriend” at the time, once she gets serious with Tomás she considers him her first “official” boyfriend.

What do you imagine are Maul, Savage, and Feral’s “moves” lololol like if they were ever to try and flirt with someone (unlikely for Maul and Savage, I know)

I always imagine Maul would be like “what is this clownery. This absolute tomfoolery. Bullshitery.” If anyone ever attempted to flirt with him (but he’d probably secretly like it/be flustered) but I have no idea how he or his brothers would flirt 😂

I’m very sorry if this has been asked before!!

No that’s a valid assumption, since he has been flirted with before, and the gist of his reaction was, “?????????????????”

BUT all that being said, once he finds someone he does want to pursue, gods willing, he’s a solid mess. Poetic and well-spoken as he is when he’s comfortable in his relationship, he can barely get a word out if he makes any attempts to flirt, and is often left with little more than a few compliments and wanting to go back home and rethink his life. He doesn’t know what he’s doing. You don’t even know what he’s doing until later in the game. But, if his past experiences have proven anything, it’s that he doesn’t give up so easily, and will fight his own social incapability tooth and nail for even the slightest chance at having you. You have to admit, though, it’s really, really cute. He manages to go above and beyond in his attempts, where his voice fails, his actions catch up, and it becomes difficult not to notice the little things he does for you to prove how much he listens to your interests.

And eye contact is a big factor as well. Maul’s eyes are ones that tell countless stories, ones that you’re sure he might not even be entirely aware of. The way your eyes meet his is much different from how he views everyone else. Others, he watches with a touch of contempt, many of them less than worth his time, and even more of them wasting it. Yet, you could ask the exact same questions as them, and receive a kind, gracious reply, his eyes narrowing in fondness to your requests. It’s what he’s best at, the silent, subtle flirting, that comes only as a natural response to his interactions with you.

Savage wants to be practical about his flirting, enjoying chats at your side and occasional gifts that he knows you’ll enjoy. It wasn’t always easy, though, as he had to ask Maul what the best things for you would be. And of course, he got the classic, “Flowers, chocolates, promises you don’t intend to keep-” before realising that his siblings were the last people in the galaxy to ask for this sort of thing. So he takes the clear, honest approach to it, deciding it best to gift you with whatever he deems a good reflection of how he feels towards you, as well as earnest compliments to match.

And how romantic is bringing something down from a high shelf? Well, maybe it isn’t inherently romantic, but he manages to make it so. He manages to make every interaction like that. Tasks and favours he performs for you are always done with an air of intimacy that you find yourself liking. He uses the opportunity to ask about you, anything about you. Your interests, hobbies, current projects or passions. He wants to know, possibly more than anything in the world, what makes you, you. The way he asks, the interest he shows, it all culminates into making you comfortable enough to share such things with him, to show him bits and pieces of your heart, because you know he’ll keep it safe.

Feral is more the type to flirt with you actively. Sure, he’s a bit more on the introverted side, but that doesn’t come up as much with you. In fact, he’s more forward than you would have expected, taking every opportunity to offer gentle touches on your arms or otherwise, laughing while you talk and joke at each others’ sides. He isn’t subtle about it, nor is he trying to be. He figures his best bet is to show you his intentions outright, let you decide to brush him off or not. Games and silence are for people who don’t want to try, and he wants to try.

However, he isn’t particularly grand in any venture, either. He’s not here to tell the world how he feels, only you. After all, it’s you he’s trying to attract, not the world. One might describe him as friendly, close-by, or downright attached as he mentions every part of you he likes, visible or not. The amount he talks about it is enough to keep you blushing into next week, and the grin on his face as he sees his words start to take hold only flusters you more.

The above pictures (plus the related tray files) are all I have left of an idea that was half-formed to begin with and which never got off the ground at all.

01.

Depending on if you’re a follower of mine + how long you’ve been following me, you may have seen a few of these shots before but I’ll explain them anyway:

Set 1: The characters Charlie, Hick, and Craig, in their original states on the left and their enhanced, final states on the right;

Set 2: A few WIP pictures of the performance space/club/thing I built;

Set 3: A bunch of test shots I took to see how the characters looked interacting, what they did naturally, and how they looked when I ~directed them. I used these pics to try and find my editing style for the story. I didn’t find the style I wanted. Clearly.

I scrapped this idea because it never came together; I didn’t connect with the characters; I didn’t care about the storyline; I’m not done with my new save so I couldn’t ~comfortably start telling this story when the rest of the world was/is disordered; and on and on. The point is, I wasn’t feeling any of this. Oh! And I hate the whole vibe and time period and aesthetic irl; what on earth was I thinking writing about it?!

So. What was this going to be?

Charlie, Hick, and Craig were

going

to live in Del Sol Valley in my new save, in the Pinnacles neighborhood, which I was

going

to turn into a Laurel Canyon-style neighborhood. An entire community of would-be songwriters/musicians were

going

to live in the two smaller lots and commune with one another and be the New Guard colliding with the Old Guard; the huge mansion lot was

going

to house an aging former film-current soap actor confronting his mortality and also hating the living shit out of these hippies whose existence he took as a personal affront--I digress. Back to the “story.”

Charlie, Hick, and Craig met after each arrived in DSV separately and they vibed and they moved in together, all in a matter of, like, a week’s time. Charlie and Hick vibed especially. So much in common! Such poor little rich [kids]! Both came from pampered environments in which their family money and respective fathers’ connections allowed them to skate through life and to play at being musicians because--despite crying oppression at the hands of upper class WASP-dom--they'll always have safety nets to ensure they’ll always be okay. Charlotte Grant graduated from her all-girls prep school and put on a floppy hat and became Charlie Grant; Richard Hickey (lololol) ripped up his acceptance letter to Britechester and grew his hair out and hitchhiked and told people to call him “Hick.” They’ve lived parallel lives and “recognize” one another as soon as they meet. They have an electric connection, but neither will verbalize that. Above all, they... really want to sleep together.

Craig grew up working class and has no safety net; he just wants a little adventure before he gets a real job/grows up/gets married (his gf back home is off to college; they’re long-distance; it’s... not going to work). He’s a good guitar player and he’s a good songwriter and that’s it but maybe it’ll be more? What do they say about the lottery? Can’t win if you don’t play? Charlie and Hick want to be famous ~rule the world. Hick plays guitar well and tries to write songs but they’re shitty. Charlie is passively learning the keyboard and writes songs that are not... bad...? Some are... good?

Charlie and Hick--can you tell they eclipse Craig, yet?--have weird sexual chemistry and tension: they tease, they flirt, they taunt, they enjoy one another’s attention but they never so much as hug. They both have cruel streaks as only disconnected, spoiled, emotionally stunted bluebloods can: the torture of their relationship/non-relationship gets them off more than anything else could and that thrill drives much of their behaviors: bringing wanton strangers home for one night stands, each hoping the other is watching/overhearing, fighting about little things, acting like inappropriately close siblings, acting like strangers. Craig suffers their whims; Charlie and Hick aren’t just united in their toxicity and their dreams of fame, but in how they make Craig into a third wheel or a--well, punching bag is too strong a term. Charlie and Hick think they’re teasing their bff but you know how it is to be teased allllll the tiiiiiiime and how it can make your head spin when people who can’t get along with one another join forces--without even having to discuss it--to turn on you. Their relationship gets patched up, you’re hurting, they insist it’s not a big deal and even that you even liked it. We’re all friends. We’re all best friends omg.

But sometimes they have fun together. They have a lot of fun together. Sometimes it all is everything each dreamed it would be. DSV is a wonderland and their careers are happening and life is happening and they’re best friends. They’re soulmates for life.

The three work on music, perform at clubs. Craig is starting to come into his own as a man. I hate the term coming-of-age but in the background of the Charlie & Hick Show, Craig is maturing. He has to, because C&H are fuck-ups. They jeopardize scheduled performances. They don’t know how to talk to club owners. They’re not interested in paying their dues. They are unable (or unwilling) to promote themselves without being obnoxious attention whores. They don’t practice or help write songs. They don’t take care of the house. Hick is late with his rent. Charlie thinks she can flirt her way out of everything. Craig is also the only one of them who works; he has a day job at a print shop, gives guitar lessons on the side, and makes sure the three get gigs and don’t get evicted. The only thing C&H put consistent effort toward is making the social scene or finding a party or scoring drugs or getting laid. As the group’s local star(s) rise, their fates start to change course which increases the interpersonal tension. Hick’s fun-loving nature is starting to turn into a legit substance abuse problem and he’s picking fights with the wrong people and socially devolving, his arrogance and issues and general laziness rendering him unable to relate to others; Charlie is getting a lot of attention from older men In the Business, who have the money and connections to make her a solo star, which she is shrewdly considering; and Craig’s resentment toward his “friends” and disillusionment with the superficiality of DSV is making him rethink his motivation for coming west in the first place.

Oh, and Charlie and Hick--again, as their paths change and as their weird tension remains unresolved--continue to take their bullshit out on Craig and now it’s not funny anymore, it’s not cute, it’s not exciting, and neither is it when Hick ruins a show by being too stoned to perform and neither is it when Charlie brings unsavory characters home who trash the three’s equipment and neither is it when C&H steal Craig’s songs and perform without him at a gig they didn’t tell him about.

What I intended was that the story would at first seem to be The Charlie and Hick Show, all about them, as if we’re supposed to root for them, but ideally, through my ~deft hand 🙄 the reader 🙄🙄 was supposed to be like, Um... hold on-- until it eventually was quite obvious that these two--though human; though in situations we could understand and empathize with--were captured at a point in their lives when they were Super Toxic Assholes, and what you were watching all along was Craig as Hero.

So I had ideas, but I didn’t know how to fit them together and I didn’t want a really long story and I couldn’t--I just couldn’t figure it out. I do know that the end was going to be Craig screwing them like they’d been screwing him, a final middle finger with consequences. I know that he and Hick were going to have words and Hick was going to try and fight him (such a loser) and Charlie was going to throw a Hail Mary of like... trying to seduce (lol) Craig into staying omg I always had a thing for you/we’d be such a great team/I always thought we could ~be something ~together uwu bullshit like that. Was this true? Was this true in her own mind? I think I was going to set the story up so that if you reread, yeah, it could be true, but she’s so flirty and manipulative and socially savvy and used to getting what she wants that who knows what her real feelings ever are? Ultimately that would’ve been irrelevant bc Craig never looked at her that way and hates her and Hick now; good going guys. It’s worth noting, I guess, that when I put the group on a test lot, Charlie was super into Craig immediately, went right to him, stood close to him, was eager to make romantic overtures; she went 0 to 60 in an instant and as so far as is possible in this game they had chemistry, but Craig was not feeling the romance. And no one was feeling Hick.

Anyway, Craig was going to move on with his life and Charlie and Hick were going to learn nothing and blame him, ~the end.

And then, as I continued to play my save and maybe tell more stories, there would be Easter eggs, references to Charlie, Hick, and Craig older/in the future and where they went in life in the background of other, unrelated stories: Hick’s substance abuse problems and rehab stints and going by Richard again and his eventual moderate fame and eventual sobriety and attempted comeback and his bad relationships with his exes and children; Charlie’s legit fame + marriage to a producer + eventual fade away + moderate comeback + solid second or third marriage and bff relationship with her children 🙄🙄🙄 and her palatial house on the coast and now she exclusively wears white and ivory and pampers her dogs and eats raw (but drinks wine) because it “cured” her undiagnosed, unnamed “autoimmune disorder,” which she wrote a book about resulting in a semi-comeback but as a Famous Person and not a musician. Craig going to college and becoming a high school English teacher who plays in a local band on the weekends and who has a good marriage (not to the long distance gf) and nice kids, one of whom would eventually have her own story where she pursued musicianship with her dad, which got him back into his first passion but it was a qt father-daughter project and not An Attempt to Be Famous.

So. Idk. That’s what this all would’ve been. But it wasn’t, and it won’t be!

Which Dick ship(s) do you like the most out of dickbabs, dickkory, dickroy, dickwally, dickjoey and dickhelena? Also curious, do you watch Titans?

Of those? Dick/Kory for sure - I have so much fondness for this ship and how good they were for each other when they were ALLOWED to be...and I maintain that the vast majority of their problems and the reasons they didn’t work out had nothing to do with their lack of compatibility or things they couldn’t work through, but were all external based and motivated by DC’s desire to split Dick off from the Titans and migrate him BACK to the Batfranchise after originally doing the same thing in reverse to take him AWAY from the Batfranchise and centered more in the Titans.

But they are EQUALS in the way Clark and Bruce are equals despite the massive power differentials (to me the real Trinity of the Titans generation would be Kory - Dick - Donna, with Kory in the Superman niche that would be Supergirl’s if she’d been centered more in their generation of heroes instead of so frequently off on her own.)

But anyway, they are POWERFUL, they are RESPECTED, they are PASSIONATE, they balance each other and complement each other so well but also they challenge each other and change each other for the better.

She’s a Princess of Tamaran, he’s a Prince of Gotham, but for all the heights each of them have been raised to at times in their lives, they’re just as familiar with being sent plummeting to the pits of what life can have in store for anyone. In the rare times when their stories ALLOW them to think about something other than desperate struggles of life and death, they know how to seize the hell out of life and live a day to its fullest, milk every last drop of enjoyment out of it, because they both also know better than to take anything for granted, trust any moment of joy to linger instead of being fleeting. I really feel that Kory’s one of the only people who’s never actually taken Dick for granted (except for a couple instances of wildly OOC behavior) and I think Dick’s one of the only people that’s ever managed to make Kory feel both safe and protected and dangerous and protective all at the same time, like...even when she didn’t know what she wanted or needed at certain key times, he managed to be it anyway.

They were together at a VERY confusing time in both their lives, with a lot of huge changes thrown at each of them rapid fire, and it wasn’t so much that they were a rock of stability or a lifeline for each other or anything like that, it was more that like....they both changed so much while with each other because they both wanted so badly to BE with each other, and it wasn’t even about shaping themselves into specific things it was more about like...in order to be together, to be good for each other, they needed to figure out who they themselves were....and so they were like...each other’s reason to keep working towards figuring out who they were and who they wanted to be, even when everything was so confusing and constantly changing it would’ve been easy to just say fuck it and just....let go and react to wherever life took them rather than always working towards staying and being proactive, wrestling back control of their own fates and destinies.

And then DC went and fucked that all up because who wants happy couples am I right? LOL.

Dick/Joey is next - like.....pre-death Joey and Dick were just...so good. They had so much respect for each other, and were so comfortable around each other and like...the chemistry was real. And I maintain that there was subtext between them and that if Dick hadn’t been with Kory for pretty much the entire time Joey was a member of the Titans up until he died, like....they could’ve been a couple in a heartbeat. Hell, I maintain they could easily have been an angsty love triangle with Kory, or a happy threesome with Kory as well. There was so much potential based on stuff that was already there between Dick and Joey...and also plenty of foundation for more interactions and a heightened dynamic between Joey and Kory as well.

Dick/Roy is next - they are my ultimate angst ship because they are both geniuses but they are also dumb boys who insist on being dumb. Like...they clash, a lot, and all of their clashes are clash of the titans, pun intended because like....they are both BIG personalities. And VERY opinionated. But also loyal as hell, even if that loyalty spans years of not even talking to each other, but one phone call and the other would drop everything to be racing to the side of the man the last time they spoke, it was nothing but strings of four letter words shouted at each other and punctuated with “yeah well your face!”

But then they grow up a little and Roy has Lian and Dick is AMAZING with kids and she’s Roy’s kid, how could Dick NOT instantly love her, but the angst still reigns supreme because just because Dick is and could be the best thing to ever happen to Lian and Roy, try convincing him that, and he’ll come up with a thousand reasons to stay away because he’s convinced he’ll screw up and Lian will get hurt emotionally and that’ll be the final straw between him and Roy because that’ll be the one thing Roy couldn’t forgive, because Dick knows he wouldn’t if it were him.

But the thing is, its not like I don’t think they could be good for each other....they absolutely could and would...it would just be a long and winding road to get there, because they are both DRAMATIC as fuck, even while insisting that they aren’t, and they just....sometimes they just don’t know HOW to not make life difficult for themselves, and I feel like a large part of that is because of the double edged sword that is how often the best things in their lives have come from the worst tragedies they’ve endured....I think on some level, they both tend to self-sabotage because they don’t TRUST anything to be easy, and like, they both convince themselves that shit’s gotta hit the fan before anything worthwhile can come their way.

Also, to reiterate - they are both absolute dumbasses who absolutely fuel each other’s dumbass energy and they are That Couple that doesn’t HAVE a voice of reason in the pairing. Its just like DICK YES! and ROY YES! and enabling each other’s worst ideas because they’re just. Like that.

Dick/Helena is next - but like, pre-Flashpoint Helena, and not as an actual ongoing relationship, just a lot of dramatic hookups and then each of them recommitting the morning after to like...their view that this was Absolutely A Mistake and it’ll Never Happen Again...at least not until next time. They’re just too different ideologically and just in terms of like...what they want out of life, except the irony is they’re actually not...its just they’re CONVINCED they are, because they’ve always seen each other with blinders on and they’ve never taken those off and to be honest they probably never would, because like...they don’t talk much? LOL. They snark, they bite at each other, they squabble, they fight, they hook up...They Regret Everything, and they do it all over again. There’s not a lot of room in there for actually getting to know each other...but like, that’s not what they’re really looking for from each other. Sometimes you’re at a certain stage in your life where you don’t WANT something meaningful or lasting, you just want....passion and chemistry without the weight of worrying about it going anywhere because like...you don’t really even want it to.

But again, this is them pre-Flashpoint, because the thing is, I actually prefer the New 52 Helena in a lot of ways, but them as a pairing in the current continuity just does not work for me at all, because of the power dynamics given the nature of their relationship at Spyral, and like...the fact that so much of their interaction is rooted in betrayal and subterfuge and hidden agendas and lies. They’re this weird blend of they trust each other but also know better than to trust each other so maybe its more just that they WANT to trust each other so that makes them even more wary of actually trusting each other...bottom line is its messy and there’s not really any practical way through that, and any kind of relationship between them, even a casual one, is kinda doomed to hurt each other.

Dick/Wally is next - And in the sense that like....I don’t really ship them at all, and never have really? Like, they’re an ultimate BrOTP for sure, but I don’t really ever get romantic chemistry from their dynamics in like...any universe. They’re best friends, they have each other’s back, they can appreciate the hell out of each other’s aesthetics, but like....they just don’t go there, because they don’t need to, its not what they want from each other and they’ve always kinda known that and just accepted it as it is what it is, and that’s more than okay with them. Dick/Wally is the counterpart to Dick/Donna for me....it only exists in a platonic, familial way. They’ll die for each other, they’ll erase timelines for each other, but they’ll do it without fucking because like....that’d just be weird, bro.

And lastly Dick/Babs - lololol and I swear its not even because I’m a Dick/Kory shipper. I don’t see Kory and Babs as competition for each other and don’t like any narrative that has them see each other as competition. My issues with Dick/Babs are entirely separate from Dick and Kory’s relationship and actually predate my shipping the latter two. I just...don’t feel it between Dick and Babs, it always comes across to me as like...them trying to force it, or the writers trying to force it, its like....they keep trying because they WANT it to work, they’re convinced it SHOULD work, he’s the first Robin, she’s the first Batgirl, its iconic, they’re partners and best friends, they’re each other’s equals just as much as Dick and Kory are, just in different ways, like....all the ingredients are there! But put them all in a blender and stir it all up and the end result....is still just...not quite right, for me.

I just think they are amazing as friends, they support each other, bring out the best in each other, challenge each other, don’t let the other pull any crap...but the second they get together as boyfriend and girlfriend, like...a switch is thrown, and suddenly they start bringing out the worst in each other, they start seeing problems where there weren’t any two seconds ago when they were just friends....idk. Its like...the writing always lacks something for me, because I feel like so many writers who put them together feel like...their iconic status and thematic compatibility just does all the work, and thus they don’t really need to put in any work writing them as a couple...and then even just when I think about tackling them as a couple and trying to write them together....again, there just always feels like some essential something is lacking...like they SHOULD work, but for some reason they don’t for me, and so I spend the whole time trying to figure out what’s missing instead of like...looking at what’s there. Idk.

Sometimes there are people who are totally compatible, but just can’t make it work romantically, and they’re that couple for me. Maybe its that they know each other TOO well, and that includes each other at their worst as much as their best....and so even by the time they got together the first time, they already had these expectations and also these preconceptions about each other and how each other tended to act in their other relationships....so I feel like part of it is like....half the time they react to what they THINK the other is going to do, based on previous history, before the other actually even has a CHANCE to do things differently...because it would be different this time, given that its with a different partner...except the other had already boxed them into their previously anticipated behavior? *Shrugs* Like I said. I don’t even entirely get why I have such a problem with the two of them together, I just always do. I love Dick, I love Babs, but put them together and I usually end up being like...I do not like these people.

So yeah. That’s me on those various relationships lol. But also Dick/Kyle for the ultimate win, no the fact that they’ve only interacted like, five times total, like, does not matter to me in the least, look I am aware this sounds like a crack ship but it is REAL and it is a FUNGI and it kept growing and growing until it took over everything and its not my fault, I didn’t give them permission, they just did it.

As for Titans - I have trouble watching things streaming right now because of shitty wi-fi, so like....I’ve literally only watched the first few episodes of S1. All the rest of my knowledge of the show comes from keeping up with the spoilers and summaries and gifsets, lol. I very much WANT to watch it, I just...will have to binge it at some point. So I have a general knowledge of it and what’s going on, and peoples’ reactions to the episodes, and I have a basic awareness of the characters based on those first few episodes and like...matching their acting in my head to their gifsets and stuff, lol, but I can’t really do the kind of analysis of their characters and dynamics on the show as I do with the comic book versions because like....I haven’t really been able to watch all the way through to pick up on all the little stuff that forms the basis of so much of my thoughts and takes on things.

I guess I must miss school or something because I suddenly got an urge to write an argumentative paper for no reason at all. But, I would like to organize my thoughts and hopefully convince a few people that there is some smidgen of truth in my little crackhead theory so please give a read if you’re interested.

(I want to be a Psychologist one day so I’m mostly looking into the subconscious and emotional aspect of this theory. Not a lot of actions will be used as evidence, I will raise more questions than answers because this theory is not one that can be proven or disproven. In layman’s terms- it’s just something to think about.)

(I very recently watched all of the anime and I haven’t read the manga. I don’t think it’s that big of a difference because I’m not trying to uncover something huge in the plotline, I’m focusing more on character development.)

When I first watched My Hero Academia, I couldn’t help but be baffled at the infatuation Izuku Midoriya had for Katsuki Bakugo. Why would he keep reaching out to the same boy who has bullied him and degraded his dreams? Midorya kept trailing after him even though everything about a childs’ development says that Midoriya should’ve avoided anyone and everything that didn’t make him feel comfortable, accepted and safe.

The easy and most accepted answer? Deku is a good person who sees the best in everyone and simply admired Katsuki for his amazing quirk.

A Pysh student’s answer?

Midoriya unknowingly seeks out powerful yet emotionally unavailable men who will most likely hurt and/or leave him.

Why?

I speak as a fatherless girl who suffered through her own fair share of Bakugo’s, and I say this with all of my chest; IZUKU HAS DADDY ISSUES.

EVIDENCE (lmao if you can call it that)

-Izuku’s father had the quirk of breathing fire.

This may not be an awfully useful quirk, unless you’re in constant need of a fire, but it was most likely a very flashy and cool thing to see in action. Who else do we know has a flashy and obnoxious fire based quirk?

Could it be that Katsuki was a subconscious reminder to Izuku of his absent father?

It’s a long stretch but psychology tells us that we tend to crave the familiar when dealing with a neglectful presence in our childhood. Example; someone who dealt with a verbally abusive mother might find themselves gravitating towards females who hold similar traits. Izuku probably doesn’t know much about his father as a person (personality wise) so it makes sense for him to subconsciously find himself attaching to his dad’s quirk (one of the few things he knew about him) and projecting it onto Katsuki when he developed his.

-Age, Stature and Dominance

According to my research, which could totally be wrong, Katsuki is slightly older than Izuku. Katsuki is also bigger than him and had an ‘alpha dog’ popularity during their childhood. Now, it’s totally normal for a dynamic to form amongst youth that will make some kids more popular than others. But Izuku’s tendency to follow Katsuki is perhaps deeper than that. People with daddy issues tend to like older and more dominant men that fit the stigma of what a ‘man’ is. Ie; strong, self-assured and approved by everyone around them. Even as a kid, Bakugo had nearly everyone eating out of the palm of his hand. So what’s the difference between the other boys who followed Katsuki and Deku?

Well, Deku had nothing to gain from following Katsuki around.

He was always getting made fun of by him or being made to carry the things the other boys didn’t want to. So while the other boys felt like they were in the ‘it’ crowd by being allowed to hang out with Katsuki, Izuku had no feeling of acceptance that usually is the driving force in peer groups. So why did he follow him around so much?

Acceptance.

Izuku projected his need for acceptance by an older and powerful male onto Katsuki and worked for it helplessly despite his wounded feelings. This can also explain why Deku was quick to try to save Katsuki (when he fell into the pond thingy and with the sludge monster) because part of him was terrified of losing yet another strong male figure. Although this is a weak piece of evidence given Deku tries to save everyone lololol.

Side note- I don’t wanna see “Well katsuki isn’t that much older than Deku.” because the truth is, a drastic age difference isn’t needed for the dynamic to take effect.

-”But Chinkbihh, aren’t they too young in these examples for you to argue that it’s daddy issues?”

Well my little grasshopper, to that I say bullshit. The stigma of daddy issues is people immediately assume that it’s about romantic, taboo and even kinky relationships that fatherless little girls grow up into. It’s more than that. Losing a parent is a very traumatic thing and can scar a kid for life. Symptoms show very early in kids because at that time of their lives, it was a very recent thing that happened to them. Not to mention, when kids first attend school and have to hear about other kids’ dads it can open the wound and cause more symptoms to occur.

-Symptoms of Daddy Issues

*Enabling narcissistic and sometimes abusive men in your life

*Clinging onto male figures you know aren’t good for you.

*Being attracted to men who hold similar attributes as the missing father

*Constantly seeking validation that you are good enough for said male.

This is more based off the early years of Katsuki and Deku. Obviously when a positive male figure like All Might came to help Izuku then his need for validation shifted. However, I saw so much of myself within Izuku always following Bakugo that I had to step back and think for a moment. I don’t think it’s something that the author intended to happen, but I do see a trace of it so I thought it was worth mentioning. Well....it’s still more believable than some of these traitor theories I’m seeing lmao. As I stated before, It’s a crackhead theory so you don’t have to blow up my inbox bc trust me I know this is trash

Entry 1. Starting with a bang.

Posted and wrote this on the 8th of January, 2019. There are a lot of things that started with a bang in the past year, literally and figuratively speaking. I mean when I heard I got into my preferred study I was overwhelmed and literally felt like that my life was finally coming together. Other things that started with a bang were these two particular individuals that I came to know over the past year. I feel like as this is the first entry I’m writing, I’m starting with a bang here as well haha. So why this post? Well, my motto is to write (or blog) shit out. Besides that, I have a tragic tendency to overshare and spurt out my feelings and encounters I had when I’m in an emotional compromised situation. I wouldn’t say that I’m currently in one, however, there have been a few things I haven’t quite been able to ‘write out’. Maybe this will help. Or not, then I will probably delete this. Sit back and enjoy the juices of the following abnormal and descriptive stories I’m about to pour out about my more than underwhelming love experiences of the past year –- 2 or maybe 3 in particular, depending on how long I feel like writing for. I don’t want to sound like every other basic bitch who complains about love. Even though I am a ‘hopeless romantic’, deep inside I fucking cannot stand talking (or writing) about love. Which is probably where some of my issues lie but I’ll leave that for some self-reflective entries in the future lmao.

Experience 1:

I’m pretty sure that you will read this but like I decided to not give a fuck anymore so let’s go. Looking back, I realize what a tragic little thing I was. Sorry to say, but you also kinda have some asshole tendencies, or at least that’s how I interpreted some of the shit you said to me. You may not have intended it like that, but that’s how some of the things you said came across. Anyways, I did have fun with you. It’s those fun things I’m trying to remember and are the reason why I feel like I might still want you in my life as a friend or whatever. I mean you’re super smart, funny, politically aware, have a great taste in music and are overall one of the best people to talk to. Seriously.

I remember when we met for the first time, we had an instant click -- at least that’s what I thought. It wasn’t awkward at all and I felt like I knew you forever. Something I have yet to this day not had before. The fact that you told me some deep personal shit and later on introduced me to your friends -- pretty sure that wasn’t planned tho, or maybe it was? -- made me open up to the idea of liking you haha.

I know for a fact that I liked you more than you liked me. At the time I thought it was okay. Maybe I was a bit naïve and looked into things more than you meant them to be. Looking back on it now, I’m not sure if I was ‘in love with/fond of you�� or just liked the idea of having with someone in general.

I don’t want to get into it too much, but I can safely say that I am over you. There was a period I missed you, quite a lot actually, but then life happened. I guess that I have desensitized myself too much. I realise that this entry may sound like you were my first love, haha. Definitely not sry.

The relation of this experience and the title. Hard but then again simple to explain. It’s too personal.

Experience 2:

This experience probably won’t make a lot of sense -- or may it will. I’m not really sure if this counts as one of my ‘love’ experiences as I have yet to fall in love with this person.

Our conversation may have been through text but we hit it off really well. We both acknowledged that we ‘right’ for each other and that we were basically everything that we looked for in someone. You told me that I was one of the most intriguing people you met which is probably one of the best compliments I have ever gotten -- or you just haven’t met a lot of intriguing people. It’s sweet, people have told me a lot of things, but never intriguing. Anyways, I thought you were funny and extremely nice -- you are literally one of the nicest people I have met --, maybe even too nice. So how we actually met. We went on quite a few dates actually, at least that’s what you called them. I think our first date was at 7 in the morning after we both had gone out. I was just in bed and you called me with the genius idea to meet up. We talked until like 10 at the water near my house. Also some deep shit tbh. Our second date was kinda awkward. Idk why. I felt like I knew too much about you or something. As extroverted as you are you can be extremely introverted as well -- like me.

Our third ‘date’ was meeting each other after haven’t spoken to you in like 2 months. We went out together. At the end of the evening, you brought me home and we made out for a looooooong time in front of my driveway. You’re probably one of the best persons I have kissed. However, my neck wasn’t all too happy for the next couple of days as you’re so tall.

Met up with you another time when I was drunk, and you were sadly enough very sober. I said some cringy shit and basically assaulted you, I now realise. Since that our contact has consisted of you-up texts and drunken snaps meant for your friends that you ‘acciddentally’ sent to me, about me.

I could've/should’ve put more effort in you but I had written you off as too nice and got distracted by other people. We have made plans for after your exams and I hope I can like ‘repair’ shit. -- sry deleted the third experience cuz ye --

And this is where I stop cuz this entry is soooooooo long. Whoever read this, i hope you enjoyed it. I spent 1,5 hours writing it instead of studying lololol. Maybe I’ll update it later.
