i feel like mighty med kept forgetting the setting they put themselves in
firstly, the show is set in philidelphia and while there are white areas of philidelphia, it's pretty known as a city with a lot of black people (but ofc disney can't have black people matter IM KIDDING). there's no speaking black character and most of the background ones are superheroes that probably aren't even from philidelphia (im not even that pressed about it, im just black and from philidelphia so it slightly irked me)
and secondly, the most important one, mighty med is behind a normo hospital and the only way to get in is through the supply closet (that's what the first episode makes it seem like) but then throughout the show multiple villains and heroes get in and out easily
HOW IN GOD'S NAME ARE THE VILLAINS MAKING THEIR WAY THROUGH THE HOSPITAL TO ENTER THROUGH THE SUPPLY CLOSET???? (like you're telling me that catastrophe just trekked through the normo hospital and no one batted an eye)
many times heroes (mainly tecton) will fly upwards and be able to leave and captain atomic even mentions how there used to be a skylight in the ceiling....
and in elite force, kaz has a picture of the outside of mighty med...
HOW DID NO CIVILIAN NOTICE THAT???
mighty med must be in cahoots with the normo hospital because there's no way the injured heroes could be wheeled through the normo hospital into mighty med on full gurneys and not get noticed (also the gurney wouldn't fit into the supply closet...)
ALSO they mention/allude to multiple ways of getting out/in mighty med, like optimo coming in through an off screen entrance and the invisible ambulance being able to leave the hospital
the supply closet is a cool detail but if you're gonna show other ways of getting in and out then just stop making the supply closet the only way to get in (im looking at you copy kaz)

Heeey, can I ask ypu something?
I've never seen Diabolical, but I've stumbled across a few tumblr posts trashing on Stillwell for doing stuff to Homelander in the episode because he's suppossedly underage.
Is this true? I always thought that Stillwell grooming Homelander was just fanon. I figured the whole tension between them steemed from Unresolved Sexual Tension, at least on Homelander's part.
Then again, if she's actually a predator, it could be that their relationship (?) ended because Homelander "got too old" and she re-started it in order to manipulate him.
Now, I don't know what to think 😩
In Diabolical 8, she absolutely has a very inappropriate moment with him. He’s 18 at the time, so not technically underaged—still gross—though we don’t really know when she met him. I was under the impression she was newly assigned to him, given how in that same moment she makes a comment about how they should drop ‘the’ from his title “The Homelander.”
honestly, I take the canon of Diabolical with a grain of salt, especially because it contradicts some points of canon in the main show. their relationship in s1 does not read to me like two people who’ve been sexually intimate over the course of the last 20+ years. like you said, it feels like extreme UST between them.
Grace Mallory describes their relationship as “special, complicated, intimate, hard to quantify.”
that seems like a really convoluted way to describe it if they were just fucking. imo, it reads as something aside from that. something Mallory didn’t know how to define.
I don’t really believe Madelyn ever had an earnest interest in Homelander, or that they had a true romantic relationship at any point. I think it was always a tenuous leash she had on him, something he projected onto her. but Madelyn 100% did manipulate him. the extent of it is just largely left to implication and interpretation.

I keep finding myself thinking and getting annoyed that one of my friends in my class is really immature and then I remember they’re a whole ass year younger than me and I’m just like. ah. now everything makes sense.

I just saw someone say Jason Todd is one of their favorite DC characters, which I totally get. I then look at a post of theirs that says they only really know about Jason from fanon and snippets of comic panels from Tumblr and I nearly blew a fuse. How can you say a character is your favorite when you don’t fucking know them except from fanfiction wtf I hate this fandom sometimes istg
at that point its really just being a fan of someone elses oc like. if you dont read any of the media that a character is actually from how do you consider yourself a fan of them ???????? i truly dont get it

So we've reached the part of the cycle where performatively mocking Tim Drake is the height of humour. I get it. Not enjoying it.
Like, he's a flawed character who needs frequent reminders how to be a person, but I hate reading about his siblings bullying him. I've never found bullying to be funny - even sibling teasing has to walk a fine line for me to be okay with it.
We're getting some really good humour blogs, these days. I'm really enjoying a lot of the content. But it means leaving my little bubble of neurodivergent bloggers who AREN'T MEAN to the fictional characters.

Recently got back to watching Dr. Quinn after taking a break for a bit, and so far I am LOVING married Sully and Michaela. 4x03 was basically just about how they want each other ALL THE TIME and I am here for it!!
But just now I saw a spoilerish thing about them having a baby by the end of this season which tells me Michaela will probably be pregnant within the next few episodes. Which is exactly what I have been dreading/avoiding because pregnancy/childbirth/baby things make me uncomfortable.

Whenever I think about writing a fic that is purely for me, I feel very guilty... I can't make myself write unless I feel like at least one other person would be interested...

It bothers me that we never see Millie while she’s alive. By only seeing people talk about her and not actually seeing her, she gets reduced to the Dead Woman Man Pain trope. She’s just a means for Hawkeye to learn a lesson, a lesson that in hindsight he didn’t really need to learn.

Honestly the cliche advice is true. If you fill your life w things you’re passionate about, if you challenge yourself every day, if you give your own opinion of yourself more weight than you do other people’s opinions of you, you will actually thrive. Like no one can tell u anything

"Alastor is a villain because he chained poor Husk 🥺"
I think you all forget THIS is the Husk that made the deal with Alastor:
Tumblr media
The Husk that was so careless and selfish that was gambling SOULS, to the point he gambled his own soul away to save his powers.
