This one is pretty short say batter notice that the player seems comfortable talking zacharie so when the player left he asked how is the player so comfortable with you. Then zacharie is like "perhaps you should smile abit" but when batter tired to smile it looks like he wants to murder someone XD. Then zacharie is like "😅 I think we need to work on that"

Bonus the player came back to check on batter since batter didn't follow them then they saw zacharie trying to teach batter how to smile like without the murder aura and such . They can't help but to laugh

Amazing idea, as per usual! I would love for nothing more than to make Batter smile myself, he's just such a silly!

Zacharie Teaching Batter how to Smile

“And now you just pull your facial muscles up like this!” With his mask only revealing his mouth, he pointed towards his smile. It looked real enough to fool almost anyone. Such was the reality of a businessman worth his money.

However, what Zacharie saw resembled a monster looking down at its prey, knowing fully well it had won and there was nowhere left to go for the latter. His smile, almost cocky in nature, was that of a victor, about to have the dragon slain, and yet, it was nowhere near that of a genuine smile. But of course, how could it have been? Smiling simply was not needed in a world full of violence where the only goal was to kill and not be killed.

Zacharie sighed, having seen that expression enough times to know there was no harm in it towards him anymore. Leaning against the countertop, he crossed his arms, one finger tapping against his elbow. “You know, you could be such a handsome man if only you smiled a bit more. It wouldn’t hurt in the slightest, amigo.” But Batter still seemed as disinterested as he was before. If it had no point, then it had no use to him.

“Hey guys! What are you-” You poked your head into the building, ready to spend the hard earned credits you found throughout the area. “Oh.” Still, what you saw was nothing less than chill inducing. Yet, knowing Batter as merely an overly serious goofball, you couldn’t help but laugh. “Pfft. Zacharie, is he trying to kill you or something?” With your laugh echoing throughout the building, you were almost afraid of attracting spectres to where you were.

“Far from it, my dear compadre, I’m trying to teach him how to smile.”

“Oh.” You giggled, finding the idea absolutely hilarious. “You could have just asked me, I know of a few ways to get out dear companion and overly stoic sportsman to smile!” Walking up to Batter, you slung an arm around his waist, pulling him closer to you. “You see, him and I have gone through thick and thin, so we’re pretty close and I know all of his secrets. Right, Batter?”

Batter seemed almost embarrassed, pulling his hat down so no one could see his facial expression. You were correct, you knew quite a lot about him, having gone on all kinds of adventures already. But it was almost fair enough that he would get to know you just as well as time went on. “Yes.”

the chimeric cadent: fucking cool as hell. was so struck by the initial reveal that i simply turned the episode off and drove the rest of the way home in silence, thinking, fuck, i hope it's not signet.

really hoping to hear janine talk about them at some point!

the cadent being the center of gravity for the entire moon, which is also their body; they are the moon and the moon is them; undying mausoleum--top tier genius loci fisher king stuff.

i also just really enjoyed the fantasy vibe in this episode--the tapestries, the throne room, the vast halls. extremely tasty.

and i mean. let's talk about figure.

"i have lived two lies and it would take a third to make it right." "don't let her take me again." "we hear a snap and we're not sure if that was figure breaking or the leash." absolute peak drama

it's not a space i like to be in as a listener, but still, truly masterful performance on dre's part of that narrow edge between belief in your own life and a lack thereof. (which is a great way to play a scene where you change/break a deep hook.)

the recitation/pronouncement/invocation of ttrpg rules is a ceremony i love, and it gave figure's fight with the cadent a real weight. very cinematic. on top of, you know, a series of close successes and fails, which added to the sense that this is a narrowly won middle beat in figure's arc.

would have been a really brutal own for thisbe to take a photo of cori with the dead civilians. screamed out loud in the car when janine said that

plugging asepsis into the station is something that i want to keep happening. just to see. u know. what if.

possible that i've just missed it but it occurred to me that the idea of the entire workforce aboard the stellar combustor dying in its destruction hasn't been raised as a moral cost. not that it world or should stop the pcs, but it's making me think about the overall emotional balance of this arc. like, is there simply not room for that question, on top of everything else?

a cliffhanger! really looking forward to some more weird desperate gambits. also, to seeing figure's new form & playbook!

Have you listened to the new Broadway recordings for Sweeney Todd that are being released rn?! Im not the biggest fan of this particular musical but /oh my gods/ the vocalists are FANTASTIC. I actually ENJOY listening to 'Johanna' when these guys sing it!

(And like Johnny's movie Sweeney is like "I hate the world cause I'm emo" and Josh Groban's is like "I hate mankind because society has wronged me." And it has so much more depth to it that I enjoy!

Absolutely I have been loving the heck out of every release! Sweeney Todd is a favorite Sondheim show of mine for the way all of the strings tie into one another and the tragedy of not just man but the endless circle of revenge. The opening number gives me chills everytime I’ve listened to it and the Johanna Reprise is an absolute delight! Loved hearing more of the major cast ^^ so yes! Honestly trying to see if I can somehow scrape up enough money to go see it live... it’s unlikely... but I’m trying!

The movie suffers from a lot of the same things as other adaptions and that is the cut content. Sondheim shows in particular are built in a way that not only the story builds and ties into itself but the music does too. Cutting out a song can lose a lot and where I agree for a movie cutting the opening number makes sense it also removes a lot of Sweeney’s charisma. You get a peek right off the bat of just how dark this show is going to be. I genuinely think Johnny did... fine! As far as a movie adaption goes its solid— but the full show is a very different creature ^^

my theory is that when somi called jungkook, they agreed to see if oc was serious about jungkook. maybe to test her to see if she was completely sure if she wanted jungkook. which is why she would ask her to choose between her and jungkook. testing her to see if she would trust jungkook, if she does. after oc finds out she feels like a betrayed child after the two that grew up with her would test her like that. maybe that’s why she wants nothing to do with them.

I was just thinking about earlier two Insta stories from summer or fall tour 2021 and one was of Jack like backstage in the green room and he’s naked but covering himself up and then I feel like the same night Alex posted from like a hotel room and he was on the bed laying down and he has his leg out and appeared to be naked. And it just made me think Jalex moment. Or am I crazy and just dreaming this?

Was this the same time that Jack woke Alex up by filming him and it looked like someone else had been in the bed? They were in a hotel then, too. And trust me, anon, I think about these moments collectively very often.
