hihi i’d like to know all about silaril if you please!!
Tumblr media
Hey Des! Silaril is one of four sibling OC's made for Sarith 🕷
As the oldest, she ranks first under their Matron and serves as lead priestess of House Kzekarit. She follows Lolth in the way she's expected to, but her ambitions lie in gold and business. House Kzekarit doesn't hold the highest rank in Menzoberranzan. They're nobles in a loose sense. Silaril works to change that! She presents herself as cool-tempered, unbothered, sly, and prefers a scathing word to a weapon. Even with a superior attitude, she will readily forge alliances with "lesser" Drow Houses, Duergar merchants, rogue guilds and more where she sees value. Silaril is my Regina George. She can hold her own in a fight just fine, but prefers the intrigue of wielding everyone's secrets to her advantage. She'd sooner grab a drink and watch the chaos unfold. Yet beneath the queen bee attitude and gaslight/gatekeep/girlbossing, she is deeply frustrated with her station. Image is everything. She never gets a break to herself, can never show weakness in any capacity - even thought. Her own web is her cage. To examine this too closely would break her :C So she keeps going! She shares no particular bonds with any of her siblings. As Matron Kzekarit's heir, Silaril resolves to surpass her. However, murder is not her thing - she gets pretty dizzy at the sight of blood! It's a wonder she survived Arach-Tinilith. Thanks for your ask and interest in my silly little guys! Since campaign events from our OOTA group inspired Sporeblood, Silaril will feature in the comic as well with Sarith's siblings! 🖤

Angerme’s Ise Reira “20 Questions 20 Answers” Haro Puro Love Talk!
Tumblr media
Ise Reira = Born January 19th 2004. Hometown Hokkaido. Blood Type A.
Q1: Tell us the meaning of your name! Eric Clapton is an overseas artist that came to Hokkaido for a concert, my parents had a conversation like “when talk of Clapton you think of “Layla”, right”, and I became Reira!
Q2: What senior are you aiming towards?
Former C-ute’s Suzuki Airi-san. Really, with singing, dancing and her charming power, I admire how she is cute and cool! Q3: Who would you want to be reborn as?
Angerme’s Katsuta Rina-san. I think it would be fulfilling as she uses her time effectively!
Q4: What are you the best at in Hello! Project?
Takarazuka love! Recently I’ve been busy so I haven’t seen them at all, but I wanted to join them originally. At that time I think I had the most love for Takarazuka in the world, day and night I would be watching Takarazuka DVD’s. I could recite the words and lyrics entirely from one performances. My cousin liked them and so they taught me of them when I was small, it was the reason why I came to like them when I saw them in a movie theater in 5th grade. I like the flower troupe’s top stars; since Asumi Rio-san is retiring, I want to go to her last performance!
Q5: Tell us something amazing about Hello! Project.
The level of dancing and singing is high. Also formation dances. Angerme has a lot of intense songs, within one song there are a lot of moving formations. Moreover there are 12 people moving, its really important to remember your movement path and shape. But, I think it’s something amazing to see in the other groups.
Q6: Who would you want to be in a Hello! Project special unit with?
Any song with an OG-san would be fine! I think I’d like have a unit once with OG-san but, if forced to choose I’d want it to be Suzuki Airi-san. Suzuki-san’s solo song “DISTANCE” is really cool. Suzuki-san is cool in that song singing while dancing so, I’d like to do it myself someday.
Q7: Tell us an Angerme song you like! “Tachiagaaru”. The lyrics are really good, the song is encouraging the whole time. During the hall tour rehearsals, when I had a moment of “I can’t remember things, what will I do!” I’d listen to “Tachiagaaru”, and I’d get courage from that.
Q8: What is a Hello! Project song you like?
Country Girls-san’s “Kasa wo Sasu Senpai”. The lyrics are good, the moment you hear it you intuitively like it. I’ve also sang this song, I often sing this painful song at karaoke.
Q9: What is the difference between current and previous Hello! Project?
 The formations are very difficult.
Q10: Other than yourself, who would you recommend as an oshi?
Angerme’s Murota Mizuki-san. She’s amazing at interesting dances, she’s skill at singing. I really admire her a lot. Its just from watching her, as I haven’t really talked with her yet. She is a wonderful senior that I want to become like.
Q11: What do you want us to see most from yourself?
Expressions. After all for those acting its one of the important elements.
Q12: What is work you want to challenge from now on?
Modeling! Since I like being fashionable.
Q13: What do you want us to see most from Angerme?
Our relationships are good! In our new song “Yumemita Fifteen” we form a circle, and everyone crosses each other’s shoulders. Its choreography of us getting along; there are lots of parts like that. I think I want you to see that our relationships are good! Since its work its not that we don’t get along, but in the dressing room it comes out that we really are friendly with each other .
Q14: What will you be doing in 20 years?
Being a mother. Since I’ll be 35, perhaps I’ll have become one. I said it at an event the other day, it’d be nice if at 35 I’ll have earned a lot of money, and could just live carefree (laughs). One of those things.
Q15: Since it’s the 20th anniversary, tell us a secret!
I’ve said, I want to do cool songs! I want to! But, actually I think I want to do cute songs like from S/mileage-san. Although it isn’t a secret (laughs). Perhaps I’ve pretty much said it. I don’t want to do it for the sake of my own thoughts though!
Q16: After one year what do you want to be able to do?
I want to be able to talk about my own opinions properly on the radio. I’m bad at talking about what I’m thinking, when its comes to talking its like “huh?” and I’ll end up not really speaking. (※Next to her Oota Haruka comments “You’re talking quite a bit right now, I think if you do your best you’ll be able to talk”) ←From when she was in the Hokkaido Kenshuusei, she was able to do radio more than myself so,  certainly, she’s my senior (laughs).
Q17: If you weren’t an idol what would you be doing?
Aiming for Takarazuka, living a normal school life. Up until joining Angerme, it was my goal to be in Takarazuka. Other than that my dream was to be a kindergarten teacher. Since I like small children, perhaps I’d come to study how to be a kindergarten teacher. I’ve had many dreams since I was little. I’ve thought about wanting to become a police officer and actress as well.
Q18: What are you most into right now?
Sleeping. Recently my days are spent feeling accomplished, I’ll sleep like a log. Since I often have to wake up early for work, my sleeping time can be around 5 hours though. I’ll go to sleep immediately, and since I’ll sleep like a log I’ll wake up well.
Q19: Who do you get along with in Hello! Project? Tell us about a recent episode! BEYOOOOONDS Eguchi Saya-san. At the Hello! Project concert we came to get along as we performed “Yumemiru Fifteen” together. Since she is my senior at first I was speaking in Keigo with her, but we get along so well she’s told me “its fine to speak casually”. Seeing her as Saya-chan, the two us talked the whole time at the Harocon’s and Hinafest. We haven’t gone out yet but, we’ve talked about going out together!
Q20: What is an idol to you?
A sparkling shining presence. I really like the anime “Aikatsu!”. They’re really shining, I’ve thought they’re wonderful. It’s also that when you see them you also smile; after all if I can become that, I’d like to have a sparkling presence. I think I have a ways to go though.

As drawings go, this was as out of my comfort zone as they probably get. I just don’t do women ;D
Buuut while Lock and his OoTA sessions are currently on pause, there was talk of doing a one/two/three shot, and so that means yet another character. And for the sheer hell of it, I gave myself the challenge of using this wonderful random generator, and decided to just go with whatever it gave me first.
And that was “a suspicious elf wizard from an underwater city once dry by a magical force field who is searching for the knowledge of true immortality”.
Which is handy, considering I’ve never played an elf, nor a wizard before. And to top it off, I decided to go for a lady too, which I’ve never done before ;)
So that gave birth to Phaedra, sea elf bladesinger wizard C: She’s just a rough concept since it’ll only be a few filler sessions, but I felt obliged to give myself a visual reference just ‘cause C:

Infusions and decoctions of dehydrated fruits of Actinidia arguta and Actinidia deliciosa
Tumblr media
Actinidia deliciosa and A. dehydrated fruits (kiwifruit and kiwiberry, respectively) are an excellent source of bioactive compounds. The aim of this paper is to valorize the fruits that are not commercialized (e.g. due to inadequate size or physical damage) in infusions and decoctions. The antioxidant activity, the scavenging activity against reactive species, the phenolic profile and the intestinal effects of infusions and decoctions of dehydrated fruits were evaluated and compared. Decoctions presented the highest antioxidant activity and a good ability to capture HOCl and % NO. The phenolic composition of A. arguta present quinic acid, cis-caftaric acid and its derivatives, caffeoyl hexoside, luteolin glucuronide, quercetin derivatives and myristin, while A. deliciosa extracts were characterized by the presence of quinic acid, caffeic acid and its derivatives and caffeoyl hexoside. No adverse effects were observed on Caco-2 and HT29-MTX cells. Kiwiberry decoctions showed to be the best option to keep the fruits benefits.
According to Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), about one third of the world food production is wasted(Gustavsson, Cederberg, Sonesson, van Otterdijk, & Meybeck, 2011). In Europe, the main cause for fruit and vegetables losses is due to the criteria implemented by the Regulation (EU) N. ° 543/2011 that defines down standards for the minimum and maximum weight, colour and size (EC, 2011).
These criteria allow for fresh products that are considered available for consumption. This is the particular case of kiwifruit and kiwiberry, which belongs to the genus Actinidia and are wild fruits extremely appreciated in Europe. The genus Actinidia (Actinidiaceae) is composed of > 50 species, being A. deliciosa (commonly known as kiwifruit or kiwi) the greatest representative (Latocha, 2017). Kiwifruit is originated from Asia, but is worldwide appreciated mainly due to its flavour and nutritional benefits (Wojdyło, Nowicka, Oszmiański, & Golis, 2017).
In its turn, A. arguta, also known as baby kiwi or kiwiberry, is different from A. deliciosa due to its size (similar to a grape) and shape as well as colour, hairless skin, aroma and flavour (Wojdyło et al., 2017). Different varieties of kiwiberry are available on the market, but the most well-known are ‘Ananasnaya’, ‘Geneva’, ‘Weiki’,‘Issai’, ‘Jumbo’, ‘Ken's Red’ and ‘Maki’. Kiwifruit is a fruit with great commercial importance, due to its nutritionally rich composition that classifies it as a health and wellbeing promoter (Ferguson & Ferguson, 2003).
Kiwifruit and kiwiberry are rich in phytochemicals, such as vitamins (mainly C), organic acids, carotenoids (β-carotene and lutein), minerals, sugars and phenolic acids (Ferguson & Ferguson, 2003; Latocha, Krupa, Wołosiak, Worobiej, & Wilczak, 2010; Latocha, Łata, & Stasiak, 2015). For example, kiwifruit present about 60 mg/100 g fresh weight (fw) of ascorbic acid while in kiwiberry the vitamin C could reach 280 mg/100 g fw (D’Evoli et al.,2015; Wojdyło et al., 2017). In addition, vitamin A, E and some B vitamins were also quantified (Latocha, 2017). The main sugars in both species were glucose, fructose and sucrose (D’Evoli et al., 2015; Nishiyama, Fukuda, Shimohashi, & Oota, 2008; Wojdyło et al., 2017).succinic acids, being citric acid the predominant one (Nishiyama et al.,2008; Wojdyło et al., 2017).
The levels of fatty acids have also an impact on the fruit acidity levels (Nishiyama et al., 2008). In what concerns to carotenoid composition, kiwifruit and kiwiberry are rich inlutein and β-carotene, presenting low concentrations of zeaxanthin, violaxanthin and α-carotene (D’Evoli et al., 2015; Latocha et al., 2010;Latocha, 2017). In turn, high concentrations of chlorophyll a and b were detected (Latocha et al., 2010). The different species are similar in the fiber content (soluble and insoluble), representing about 3% (D’Evoli et al., 2015; Latocha et al., 2010).
In what concerns to minerals, kiwifruit is rich in potassium (α 272 mg/100 g fw), also presenting other macro elements such as calcium (α 21 mg/100 g fw) and phosphor (α 24.1 mg/100 g fw), while kiwiberry has high amounts of potassium and calcium (D’Evoli et al., 2015). The microelements (namely iron, zinc and manganese) have also been detected and quantified in both species(Ferguson & Ferguson, 2003).

Novembris 2019 transporditi Maine'ist pärit mereandide partii Wuhani Lõuna-Hiina mereandide turule läbi külma ahela. Vaid mõne nädala jooksul paljude ettevõtete töötajad Lõuna-Hiina mereandide turul olid sümptomid seletamatu pneumoonia üks teise järel. Nad olid nakatunud Xinguan pneumoonia.
Kirje
Kell 4:4 a.m novembris 11, 2019 Hiina Eastern Airlinesi lend mu298 maandus Shanghai Pudongi rahvusvahelises lennujaamas.
Laeva pardal olev partii Ameerika külmutusseadmete kaupa lasti maha lennujaama põhjaosa lastiterminali kajutist ja transporditi rahvusvahelise kauba saabumise alale, et need saaksid tollile siseneda. Nende hulgas on 55-sed kastid 823.4 kilogrammi külmutatud Bostoni homaari.
Viimastel aastatel on Zheng on rühm püsikliente hotellis. Ta pakub ka veetooteid teistele kaupmeestele Lõuna-Hiina mereandide turul.
Ma kardan, et see oli see hulk Ameerika homaare, mis avas Pandora laeka epideemiast Lõuna-Hiina mereandide turul.
Hargnege
Kõik paistab normaalne.
Kell 10:00 a.m november 11, 2019, Shanghai Pudongi rahvusvahelisel lennuväljal laadis juht Yan Ameerika homaaride 55-kastid ja transportis need Shanghai X-kompanii filiaali; Kell 17:00 p.m 11ndal ja 12ndal saatis X-kompanii Shanghai haru kaks korda Wuhani Lõuna-Hiina mereandide turule 35.39 kg ja 104.69 kg homaaride kohta; Kell 4:40 a.m 12ndal ja 7 a.m. 13-ndal, ootas Zheng oma kaupa loodepoolse turu tee juures.
Kaupmehe a müügiandmete kohaselt müüdi rohkem kui 80-kilogrammi 140
On palju nakatunud inimesi kaupmees ümber kaupmees

Do Beauty Supplements Really Work?
Tumblr media
A healthy diet can help keep your skin looking its best. Since the skin is an organ, just like your heart or liver, it’s fed by the nutrients in the foods you eat, so the more nutrients you get in your daily diet, the healthier your skin will be.
But that’s food we’re talking about. Can you get the same effect from supplements?
Many manufacturers would like you to think so. In fact, beauty supplement companies are betting their bottom lines on the hope that you will believe their products will help your skin look and feel its best.
Just in the past year, the U.S. saw a 61 percent increase in sales of beauty supplements, with $144 million in sales compared to $89 million last year. Clearly, these supplements are becoming more and more popular. Does that mean you should be using them, too?
What Are Beauty Supplements?
Beauty supplements (also called nutricosmetics) are similar to regular vitamin and mineral supplements, except they’re targeted to have a specific effect on your skin, hair, or nails. So they often contain nutrients that are linked to benefits in these areas. Vitamin A, C, and biotin, for example, are necessary for healthy skin and hair, so many beauty supplements contain them.
You may already get these vitamins in a multivitamin, but beauty supplements often contain them in higher doses than you’d get in a daily nutrient formula. They may also contain other nutrients like collagen, antioxidants, anti-inflammatories, and others that are meant to help you improve your appearance and help delay aging.
Beauty supplements may come in pill form, or in powders, drinks, or other food items.
The Problem with Vitamin Supplements in General
There are a few reasons why beauty supplements make sense. If you don’t eat a healthy diet most of the time, you may not be getting all the nutrients you need to support your skin’s health. In that case, a supplement may be helpful, but the thing is, we just aren’t sure at this point.
Take regular vitamins, for example. Many consumers bought them for decades, convinced that they would help them avoid disease and feel healthier. But recent studies have questioned whether supplements are effective.
One recent 2018 review of scientific literature published between 2012 and 2017 found that vitamin D, calcium, and vitamin C did not help in preventing cardiovascular disease, heart attack, stroke, or premature death.
“People feel better when they take supplements in the belief that taking more vitamins will improve health,” said Marion Nestle, nutrition, food studies and public health professor at New York University. “Most evidence shows that they do not.”
Johns Hopkins researchers reviewed information on supplements too, including three different studies that showed multivitamins did not help reduce risk of heart disease or cancer, mental decline, or premature death. They found that not only did multivitamins not live up to their hype, but that higher doses of some vitamins, like vitamin E and beta-carotene, could actually be harmful.
They added that there is much stronger evidence that eating a healthy diet helps prevent chronic diseases and gives you all the nutrients you need.
The same is likely true of beauty supplements.
Are Beauty Supplements Worth the Money?
Most dermatologists recommend instead that you focus on food, where the best nutrients are.
“Healthy eating habits appear to be a valuable tool to reduce the signs of skin aging as well as the management of certain skin conditions,” said board-certified dermatologist Patricia Farris, M.D., FAAD, clinical assistant professor of dermatology, Tulane University School of Medicine, New Orleans. “While the science behind nutrition, supplementation and skin is still evolving, research suggests a diet high in antioxidants and healthy fats and low in sugars, refined carbohydrates and bad fats may help the skin look younger.”
Some studies are showing that beauty supplements flat out don’t work. A review of research by scientists at the British Nutrition Foundation showed there is “very limited” evidence to support some of the ingredients used in beauty supplements. Further, they noted that while a healthy diet is required for healthy skin, beauty supplements may not add any further benefit.
Some nutrients show effects on the skin in a scientific laboratory, but so far there is no proof that they will have the same effects on real skin when taken internally. They have to go through the digestive system, where it’s unclear whether they will be absorbed well, and then get through to the skin. The body tends to shuttle nutrients to the essential organs first, like the heart and the lungs, so it’s hard to tell how much (if any) gets to the skin.
Collagen, in particular, is a protein that is broken down in the gut to smaller molecules, and so far there is little evidence that it survives digestion to travel to the skin in high enough quantities to make any meaningful change.
The jury is still out on vitamin E, too. According to a 2016 study, though it’s been linked with protecting the skin from solar radiation, evidence is lacking on whether supplements really benefit skin. Researchers wrote, “After so many years of research on vitamin E, it is still unclear as to whether millions of dollars worth of vitamin E products paid for by patients and consumers have been of any benefit.”
There is some early research that suggests that certain nutrients can have an effect on skin, but these are small studies, with some being limited to laboratory results.
Polypodium leucotomos: This is an extract of a Central American fern plant. Supplements have been shown to offer some sun protection.
Probiotics: Studies have shown they may offer some sun protection.
Omega-3 fatty acids: Some studies have shown that supplementation can reduce inflammation and may help reduce psoriasis and acne flare-ups.
CoQ10: Animal and laboratory studies suggest it may help provide antioxidant benefits in the skin.
Vitamin B3 (nicotinamide): May help reduce the risk of skin cancer.
Biotin: May help encourage strong nails.
Bottom Line
At the end of the day, we don’t have enough research yet to show that beauty supplements will make a visible difference in your skin. So far, eating a healthy diet, exercising, and using quality skin care products are the best ways to get your best skin.
If you want to try beauty supplements, they probably won’t hurt you, but if you’re combining them with other vitamins you’re taking, check with your doctor to be sure that you’re not taking too high a dose of anything. Then make sure you’re using a quality supplement from a reputable manufacturer.
Finally, take a before and after picture so you can see if the supplement is really helping or not. That can help you determine whether you should keep spending money on it, or if that money would be better spent on an anti-aging serum or quality moisturizer.

2017 Kenshuusei Test Reactions
Hi guys~! As you probably know, I’m a big fan of Hello Project’s kenshuusei and have followed them very closely since becoming a fan. Every year, I like to listen to their annual recital/test to hear how they are all doing on an individual level with vocals.
This comes with absolutely no bias for most everyone but probably Momohime. I generally forget who I’m listening to, outside of Momohime, so I feel like they’re pretty unbiased and just my opinion of the singing I’m hearing.
I tend to be overly critical a lot, so keep that in mind. I will also mention, if I do know/am remembering who’s singing, improvement or maybe disappointments in something that was good in previous years. :)
These are in order of their performance! ^_^ Ishiguri Kanami - Only You (Morning Musume) Unstable at the very beginning, but then had extremely good breath support considering the song and dance. The head voice parts weren't perfect, but really enjoyable and there's a lot of talent here. Yamazaki Mei - Chu! Natsu Party (3-nin Matsuri) Stupid stable at the beginning and brought personality into her performance. Perfect performance from what we have to hear. Shimakura Rika - Be Alive (Morning Musume) Definitely had some nervous shakes in her voice on some of the longer notes. Very pleasant voice to listen to. Hit every note strongly and caught all the little bits MM did when performing--lacked emotion in her performance/voice. Sounds a lot like Risako on her belty notes. Hibi Marina - Glass no Pumps (Goto Maki) Very shaky voice and lacks strength, but has a very unique tone. Still really not unpleasant to hear. Sounds terrified but really has the vocals for this song if she can gain the confidance. Pretty sure even the person that judged her said she sounded scared LOL Kawamura Ayano - Mugen Climax (C-ute) Very stable performer--higher pitched Karin voice and I didn't expect that. Kudou Yume - Chotto Guchoku ni! Chototsu Moushin (Kobushi Factory) Odd song choice but starts off strong with hitting the cute and strong bits. Gets slightly off beat but still sings the song better than some of Kobushi. Slurs her words a lot so should work on that for sure. Running out of breath--again, odd song choice for a solo. Kitagawa Ryou - Dance de Bakoon! (C-ute) Keeps running out of breath and could enunciate more! I'm curious to see her expression because she sounds bored some times and I know her default expression is ._. The high parts are definitely too high for her but not everyone has to be that "main vocal" in groups. Matsunaga Riai - SONGS (Morning Musume) Lacks vocal stability but has so much potential--hit a lot of belt notes dead on and perfectly. I think she needs to work on breath control and she'll be fantastic. Her singing voice is a total 180 from her speaking voice--reminds me a lot of Rikako. Eguchi Saya - What is LOVE? (Morning Musume) Sounds like Masaki when she joined but in a good way (I'm not a fan of Masaki's voice). Her squeaks actually worked in this and I think, if she can improve her breath support just a pinch, she'll be an incredibly strong vocalist. This dance is difficult to do while singing so I'm a bit impressed. Doi Rena - Ima Sugu Tobikomu Yuuki (Morning Musume) Higher notes were great but seemed maybe nervous, as was shaky and went off pitch a bit. Yamazaki Yuhane - Magic of Love (Juice=Juice 2015 vrs.) Perfect. This performance may have pushed her to my favorite kenshuusei after Momohime. Crap. You can really feel her passion and feeling in this performance, on top of the perfectly solid vocals. I wouldn't even know what to tell her to improve on but she deserved best performance unless her dance was totally horrible (which I doubt, as we know she's a solid performer overall). Inoue Hikaru - My alright sky (Buono!/Suzuki Airi) Her runs were pretty sloppy for someone who has this many years of experience now. She was honestly a bit unstable, but she's improved a lot from when she joined. I hope she works on carrying her "ii" sounds outside of her nose--that killed the end of the performance for me. That said, she's improved IMMENSENLY since she joined so I'm still happy with this. I disagree with the judges giving her an award for it, but if it's based on her improvements, I'm cool with it. (Not like I get a say any ways and I'm not WATCHING it in the moment so I'm sure it's different. :)) Yonemura Kirara - Tokaikko Junjou (C-ute) So much improvement from last year--get it girl. Still could use help with breath support--she lost a lot of what she had when she had no time for a proper breath--could be song choice too. But she sounded like she gave it her all. I think she did well! Nishida Shiori - Take off is now! (Morning Musume) Such a husky voice! I loved that I could understand every single thing she said and she punched every note perfectly until the very last note (which she did all the last part in one breath so completely understandable). Yamada Ichigo - MY BOY (Buono!) For someone with idol experience performing before this, she was missing a lot of notes. She seems to struggle with breath support so I'd really like to see how hard she danced. I definitely think it's the breath support, as she got to a part where there's way less movement and nailed the notes there. Her dance was said to be surprising so I look forward to maybe getting a clip of it! Maeda Kokoro - Suki Sugite Baka Mitai (DEF.DIVA) VERY shocking performance for me--she's improved a lot. Couldn't quite get to the high notes but still stable outside of those--will continue to improve each year I think. Kodama Sakiko - Rottara Rottara (Buono!) This song choice was one I saw and went D: y. She is slightly off key at the beginning but picks it up, then gets off again. She definitely needs more time but you can tell she's having fun and is trying to get the audience into it. Just like Hikaru, needs to learn to carry her vowels outside of her noise.Sato Hikari Definitely singing for the sake of singing but has a strong base as a vocalist. This song choice was another odd one for me, personally. It doesn't suit a soloist very well, but, considering that, she did pretty darn good. Needs to work on feeling the song! I think one of the judges may have just said that, but I'm not 100% paying attention to the judges. Kanatsu Mizuki - Are Kore Shitai! (Juice=Juice) A lot of the audience seems excited about her--I'm surprised. She seemed really unpopular to me (I always thought she was cute!). Was she inspired by Juice=Juice in this? She seems to be mimicking their "isms" in this song a lot. But holy crap has she improved since last year! Needs better support on the higher notes, but I think she did extremely well compared to the past. She lost breath support at the end, but that was her biggest struggle I could find before so go her for doing well up until that point! I'm super proud of her! Kiyono Momohime - Mr. Moonlight (Morning Musume) Personality and strong vocals--just as expected from Momohime! She ran out of breath a few times but remained strong throughout. Not the best song for a solo but she did well. Kawano Minori - Oh my wish! (Morning Musume) Very strong performance--sounds a lot like Miki. Lost some of the higher belt notes but very strong voice. Takase Kurumi - Baby! Koi ni Knockout (Pucchi Moni) I expected a little more from her. She was a bit unstable but I'm wondering if she's losing air. Her performance was still great but not as good as it has been in the past! Horie Kizuki - Waserete Ageru (ANGERME) I forgot I was listening to the kenshuusei when this one came on--I thought I was listening to a MM concert and someone's solo. She did really fantastic! I look forward to clips of her dancing (hopefully we get some!). Ono Kotomi - Akai Nikkichou (Akagumi 4) So much improvement since last year! How is this the same girl from last year's test?! She did really fantastic until it got to the higher part. Hashisako Rin - Massara Blue Jeans (C-ute) I think we found the weakest singer in the bunch so far--but she almost nailed the belting parts. Her range just seems a little small for this song. Her personality seems really fantastic, though. The way she talks and answers questions almost reminds me of Taguchin. (That's a good thing.) I could see this girl doing Minimoni Telephone ga Rin Rin Rin for LOLs. Okamura Minami - Tropical Koi Shiteru (Matsuura Aya) I'm normally not a fan of "cuter/higher" voices, but hers really draws me in. She did a really great job and you can tell she had fun singing it as well. Nakayami Natsume - Aisuru Hito no Namae wo Nikki ni (Berryz Koubou) I definitely expected more out of her but, with this song choice, there's not much that can be done. She did alright--it was sadly just a boring choice, but I think she still did just fine. Noguchi Kurumi - Take off is now! (Morning Musume) I liked the energy she brought to this song versus the other one. Her pitch was as stable but she almost had a bit of "sexiness" and "fierce" feeling in some of her lines. If she can get pitch down 100%, I think her vocals will be stellar. I'm interested to see her expressions because her voice spoke a lot. I'd like to see it reflected in her expressions as well. Oota Haruka - Chokotto Love! (Pucchi Moni) I lied, I think this is currently the worst singer in the bunch, which is really saying something because she wasn't horrible. I love Kanatsu Mizuki but, when she first joined, she was worse than this. The standards for the kenshuusei must be super high now. This was a bit painful at times at how off key she was but she did throw a lot of personality in, which will get her far. Her expressions are really good, I know, so I think she'll be fine if she just keeps working at pitch. Ichioka Reina - Hitorijime Shitakatta Dake Nano ni (C-ute) I'll never forget the first time we heard her and her singing was just...not there. LOL It just wasn't. She's improved leaps and bounds and, while I think most of her popularity comes from her being a kenshuusei for a long time, she deserves to debut. That said, I'd 100% have swapped she and Kaedy. I may eat my words when we find out what she's actually doing. Her idol appearance has really improved, as has her stage presense. I think she can stand to work on feeling what she's singing but she's still doing better than a lot of her juniors--Ruru, for example, could learn a lot from her. She SHOULD be doing better than her juniors, but a lot of these girls below her have experience, too. Danbara Ruru - Give me love (Morning Musume) Oh sweet jesus. What's wrong with her in this performance? I know she normally just sings to sing without emotion, but she's pushing WAY too hard. This isn't that kind of song. Sorry--tangent over. I don't like what she's doing with her belts now. She's also a lot less stable than she has been in the past. Her runs were very nice, at least. I wonder if she's sick or something because of this was just...not up to par for her.

Translation: Asahi Shinbun: Telling: Maria Interview (part 2)
Here’s the second part of this interview! In this part, she talks about Hina Fes, her feelings on Kobushi and Murotan, how she feels that idols are athletes, and her favourite songs, plus more. Enjoy, and please do not repost without credit!
From March 22nd~March 24th, 2020, the concert "Hello! Project Hina Fes 2020" was scheduled, and because of COVID-19, it was filmed without an audience. Makino-san, you had a solo performance. Were you nervous? Maria: For my solo performance, I chose Melon Kinenbi's "Akai Freesia." My feeling of, I want to do a performance like Melon Kinenbi! Was strong, so right until just before i went on stage, I was watching videos and listening to the song, actually until about 3 seconds before I went on stage.
The full red costume was really cute. Did your performance go as you thought it would? Maria: I was super nervous, and there were places where my voice went completely wrong...... But, I practiced the parts that I wanted to succeed at, ad I think that I was able to do the dance exactly as I imagined it.
After all, it was different than a normal concert, right? Maria: There were no fans in front of me, so I thought that the air was different. At a normal concert, the energy that everyone emits is really passionate and hot, but without any fans, it's cold. I was able to feel once again how much passion the fans always bring with their cheering.  And, this time, we had a member who was graduation.
It was Kobushi Factory's final "Hina Fes" before their disbandment, and it was Angerme's Murota Mizuki-san's graduation performance. Maria: Kobushi Factory are seniors who have helped me ever since I was a Kenshuusei. Especially Hamaura Ayano-san, I remember that the first time I met her was at the 11th generation auditions for Morning Musume. When I saw Hamaura-san's singing and dancing, it was on a completely different level than mine. I auditioned with almost no experience in singing or dancing, and I think that if I had stayed that way, I would never have joined Morning Musume. When I saw Hamaura-san, I decided, "I'll join the Hello Pro Kenshuusei." I think that if Hamaura-san wasn't there, I wouldn't have become a Kenshuusei.
That is also a fateful story. Maria: Nomura Minami-san was the senior who I was closest to when I was a Kenshuusei. I was still a kid, so I was really slow with making movements. But, Nomura-san would always wait for me until I was finished, even when we went to lessons and went to eat together.
When I watched their performance at "Hina Fes," and when I watched their disbandment concert, I didn't want to think of it as being their final concert, and it doesn't feel real. Even today, it feels like I might see them at the offices.
You had the opportunity to perform with Murota-san when you were in the Kenshuusei together. Maria: Murota-san and I, when we were Kenshuusei, we went on the C-ute tour as backdancers together. At that time, I had the image of her being good at both singing and dancing. Since there, she's become mature but, when she was a Kenshuusei, she often put her hair in two buns and called it "bear hair." When I saw it, I thought it was super cute.
Makino-san, you're 19 years old now, how do you think you want to spend your 20's? Maria: In my 20's, my goal is to be a "utility player!"
Cool! Maria: A utility player is a baseball player who can protect multiple positions in the game. In the Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters, it's like Sugitani Kenshi, in the MLB, it's like Manny Machado from the San Diego Padres. I can say that I won't lose to anyone when it comes to cheering for the Fighters in the idol world, but I want to do my best further at singing and dancing so I can be an idol who can protect multiple positions.
The number of juniors have increased with the 13th, 14th, and 15th generations, so there are more and more places where you'll need to be like a utility player. Maria: I'm still aiming for it, but I think that it would be good to see that kind of figure. As Oota Taishi says, I want to be a "senior who's back is watched." At concerts, photo shoots, work for the Fighters, work for the Major League, I will put all my strength into everything I do!
Do you have any dreams or goals that you want to achieve in your 20's? Maria: "I want to meet MLB's Aaron Judge!" This is a dream that I haven't been able to accomplish in my teen years. I'll go to Yankee Stadium, see Judge play, cheer for the Yankees, and meet Judge! It's fine if it's for work, or in private, it just would be good if it happened.
Makino-san, I'm wondering if there are any points that are similar in terms of team play in both your beloved baseball and Morning Musume activities? Is there anything that you think you could use from the baseball teams and players in your activities? Maria: Yes! Yes! Yes!! For example, eating habits. Darvish Yuu cares about various things ith meals, and when I listen to him, or read his interviews, I think that I should also be concerned with food as an "athlete." For example, eating only vegetables isn't healthy, and when you eat meat and rice for nutrition, there are ingredients that are not effective unless you always continue to eat them, so I think about what ingredients are going to work at a fast pace. There are baseball players who won't eat fiber before a game because it will give them a stomachache, so I am also careful to not eat it before a performance as well. Since, "food is an athlete's mission!"
Cool! Maria: "Food is an athlete's mission," are the words that Nakashima Takuya used in answer to the question, "what is food for you?" There are also players who say, "it's more important than practice." When I heard those stories, I learned how important eating is.
Every year, in January, the Fighters hold a "newcomers joint voluntary training," and I go to the Fighters' Kamagaya Stadium to watch it, and I learned ways to stretch there. I watch the trainer as he teaches the rookies ways to stretch and apply it, and it's like, "I can also do that stretch," or, "I'm doing the same stretches, so I'll continue with them."
This is the first time that I've heard of an idol learning stretches and eating techniques from athletes. Maria: This is just my own thoughts, but I think that idols are athletes. For things like eating and stretching and so on, I'm properly managing my body, I go to singing and dancing lessons properly, with the goal of becoming a utility player!
Finally, please tell us what Hello Pro or Morning Musume song that you recommend to the readers of this article, telling. Maria: First, it's Morning Musume '15's "ENDLESS SKY." This song was released for 9th generation member Sayashi Riho-san's graduation, and in Tsunku's liner notes, he wrote, "I created this song because I thought that I want a lot of people to listen to it when the cherry blossoms bloom and it's graduation season."
When you listen to the song, it might feel a little bit sad but, it's a song about the new actitivies and the bright future that is waiting for you, and I think that I want to deliver that with this song. When Ootani Shouhei went to the major leagues, I thought that I wanted to send him this song.
Makino-san, on a day when you're like, "I'll do my best today," what song do you listen to? Maria: Morning Musume's "The * Pea~ce!"! No matter what, this is my favourite song, and I listen to it when I'm happy, or when I want to pick myself up. When I'm down, I listen to "Utakata Saturday Night". When I hear this song, I get energetic! Also, Dream Morning Musume's "Atto Odoroku Mirai ga Yattekuru," I really love how the lyrics are about how after this, a new future will come and good things will happen.
Thank you very much. As you go toward 20 years old, we are looking forward to seeing more and more of your activities! Maria: My goal for 2019 was "major advancement!" Now that I've advanced to the majors, this year, it's to be a "utility player" and "World Series MVP." I'll take the World Series MVP with Aaron Judge (laughs)! For that reason, I have a lot of things that I want to do, and I'll do my best to get energy from all the fans, and baseball!
