okay but really i do assume that valerius and camellia don’t just have sex those two times shown in the act 3 part of cam’s romance. every time she sacrifices someone, he lets her know that she is more than welcome to. ahem. relieve the tension with him afterwards. even with the shaman in wintersun and kaylessa in that random encounter, and thankfully the act 3 party aside from them consists of greybor (who minds his own business), nenio (considers most things irrelevant) and the graveguard (delamere and staunton - who are undead) so they were able to sneak off.

Reading YA fantasy is so funny because in each series, there will be countless names I’ve never heard of before and they’re all really interesting and imaginative, and most of them are super unique.  And then this happens:
There is some variation of Caden or Cam.  OBVIOUSLY this isn’t the case all the time, but I feel like I’ve read way more books with these names in it than any other name.
In the Witchlands series by Susan Dennard, there’s a character named Caden.  There’s also a character named Kaden in the Remnant Chronicles by Mary E. Pearson, and in the duology I’m reading now (Mask of Shadows by Linsey Miller) there’s another character named Caden.  This is made ten times funnier by the fact that in real life, I know one Kaden, one Kaidyn, and one Kaiden.  I’ve gotten to the point where my brain is exploding with this name.
Again in the Witchlands, there’s a character named Cam.  In the Shattered Realms series by Cinda Williams Chima, there’s someone named Cam as well - and in Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard, there’s a character named Cameron who is sometimes called Cam by certain characters.  Honorable mention goes out to the Remnant Chronicles, which has a geographic location called the Cam Lanteaux.  In this new duology I’m reading, there is yet another person named Cam as well!  Plus, and here we go, in real life I know TWO Cams, as well as one person named Kamryn who is sometimes called Kam.
This is insane.  I mean, they’re nice names, but what is it about them?

Excerpt:
“Salmon sandwich trip tally: 14
Day Sixteen saw my last morning in Oxford and it never gets any easier to pack up and leave the City of Dreaming Spires. Showered and packed up just after 10 am, I checked out of the hotel and headed across High Street for a final breakfast at the Vaults and Gardens, enjoying the view of the Radcliffe Camera for the last time this trip.
Between toast and tea, I wrote a couple of postcards and did some typing until I had to tear myself away, stopping at the post box on the way to the hotel to pick up PJ and hop my taxi to the train station. I caught the 12:31 and arrived into London Paddington just before 1:30, giving me time to enjoy another cup of tea - while watching/listening to the mariachi band - before walking the short distance to my flat, a perfect home away from home that I found on my first trip. I've spent the afternoon doing laundry and unpacking (since I'll be here six nights) and in about two hours, I'll head back to Paddington to catch the Tube to the Harold Pinter theatre to see the amazing Imelda Staunton in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? I expect the performance to crush my heart and destroy my feels and indeed, when I mentioned to Jim Carter (her husband) on Sunday that I was planning to see it, he affirmed that it's quite the intense theatre experience...”

JIM CARTER MY LIFE IN TRAVEL When he’s not on a gruelling charity bike ride, the actor is happy with his books and a sun lounger pretty much anywhere THE WORST CYCLING DAY I’ve had was on a trip from Chile to Argentina. Despite riding downhill, I was having to pedal hard into heavy winds and rain. The sun finally came out when we reached Bariloche, in the Andean foothills. I’ve been an avid cyclist since I was 10 and I try to do at least one charity bike ride abroad a year between November and February. AN ELDERLY MAN IN LYCRA is not my favourite look, but cycling is a great way of getting fit and a real motivation to shift a few pounds. THE DALES ARE A BEAUTIFUL PLACE to cycle and the Tour de Yorkshire has been a real success for tourism there. I’m thrilled that cycling is gaining more interest – and not just the Tour de France. There’s also the Vuelta in Spain and the Giro d’Italia. THE MOST REMOTE PLACE I’ve been is cycling off-road 20 years ago from Aqaba in Jordan across the desert. We visited Mount Nebo and then, after Petra, rode down towards Roberts Rock and the Red Sea. ALL I COULD HEAR was total silence when I stopped for a moment; not the hum of an insect nor a breeze in the vegetation. It really struck me because you never hear silence. IT’S NOT JUST SERIOUS CYCLING though. Last summer I did a four-day bike tour with friends around the Carcassonne hills in Languedoc. We’d booked little unassuming hotels along the way. Lunch at a vineyard was always a welcome break. IT FELT LIKE I WAS LEVITATING while filming Swimming with Men. I’m also a keen swimmer, so I appeared to be the most buoyant person in the world – the unsinkable Jim Carter, everyone joked. I’M NOT AN ALL-ACTION MAN at all – give me four books and a lounger, then I’m happy. I love staying in London in the summer, even though I’m celebrating my big 70th birthday this August, as we’d miss the garden in full bloom if we went away. I hate the gloom of January, so we spent two weeks in the Maldives this year. I VOWED TO EXPLORE the world with my wife Imelda [Staunton, the actress] when we got married in 1983. I let work typically take me to cities, while Imelda and I then head to wherever there’s sunshine. I’ve never regretted spending on holidays. One of our first was to Kenya, on safari. I REMEMBER WANDERING every evening round the bay at Kiwaya, our favourite resort on the Kenyan coast, quite close to the Somali border; baboons would come down out of the sand dunes and play in the water. It offered complete barefoot luxury with hammocks as well as straw huts with open windows. Sadly the resort was shut down due to a spate of kidnappings and murders in the area. I’D BE HAPPY NEVER TO VISIT another cathedral, but in Venice just sitting in a café with a cappuccino or white wine, and watching the world go by, is bliss. I loved Venice. Getting up at 5.30am, cruising through the deserted canals and seeing the city slowly come alive was magical. THE HOLIDAY OF MY LIFETIME was three weeks in New Zealand three years ago. We started on a little island off Auckland, Waiheke, famed for its vineyards and fine food, and stayed at the Boatshed – one of my favourite hotels for its laid-back service. AUSSIES CAN BE DISMISSIVE of Tasmania, but the best art gallery and museum I’ve been to is on the island. Culturally it’s a midpoint between Australia and New Zealand. Mona, the Museum of Old and New Art, was built on a clifftop by a local working-class guy called David Walsh. You get a trendy camouflaged ferry from Hobart over to it. THE ODDEST PLACE I’ve been recognised was in Angkor Wat in Cambodia during a charity bike ride. Forty Chinese tourists went by and one stopped and exclaimed, “Oh, Mr Carson”. I was gobsmacked to be recognised from Downton Abbey in such a remote place. Even when I’m in shorts and flip-flops, I get recognised. ONE OF MY FAVOURITE MEMORIES is celebrating my birthday at the Airds Hotel in Port Appin on the west coast of Scotland. I’d been at the Edinburgh Festival before travelling on to Ullapool and staying at the Ceilidh Place, a restaurant/hotel/music venue run by the actor Robert Urquhart. IT WAS INCREDIBLY PEACEFUL to walk through the fields down to the shore and watch the cattle grazing. When the sun breaks out and the heather gets lit up, it’s as beautiful as anywhere in the world. MY IDEA OF HEAVEN is an escape to the Greek islands, where we’re off to this month, getting up early for a swim, reading, scraping together a picnic and wandering to a tavern for grilled fish and a bottle of wine. Jim Carter’s latest film, is out on Friday. Source: The Daily Telegraph - Travel

Bootlegs!
I would love to trade, but I can gift if you’re new to the bootleg world. I did not film any of these. Please don’t try to “trade” YouTube videos with me. Also, respect NFT dates. We’ve been #quarantined so well that a birdy built a messy nest right outside the door we use the most. 🐧🐦🐤 I guess we aren’t the only ones sheltering in place. 🐤🐣🐥 Think this will inspire me to get those shutters painted and installed the way they should be? Probably not. 🦇🦉🦅 Honestly, the bird feeder is right around the corner. So this bird is either a consummate opportunist or just a genuinely lazy bird. I mean... 12 feet from the bird feeder? Really? For a Bird... who can FLY?! Might as well just be my pet. LOL! 🐥🐥🐥 Ok, so what do I do now? I predict lots of recommendations to knock down the messy nest. It surprises us every time the bird explodes out of there, it makes a dickens of a mess on the back porch, which is never that neat anyway... 🙊🙉🙈 And then how many of you will be the vegan live-and-let-live birdies are cute thing? Cause I am undecided. 🚦🚦🚦 What’s your vote? A: get rid of it or B: leave it be and set up a birdie cam. LOL! 🦚🦃🦩 Yeah, the cam isn’t going to happen, all it would capture would be my hubby fake-swearing in Germanglish and while that would be funny to us, people have really interesting responses to swearing. Hehehe! 🦜🦜🦜 #germanglish #fakeswearing #birdnest #spring2020 #nesting #nestbuilding #birdwatching #eviction #compassionforcreatures #humanitarian #messybirdnestcharm #staunton #stauntonva #virginiaisforlovers #augustacounty #shenvalley #shenandoahvalley (at Staunton, Virginia) https://www.instagram.com/p/B-7OmT9nYGd/?igshid=vpuesy5r6ime
