Yue Qingyuan (or rather Yue Qi since he's still only head disciple) is revealed to be an imperial prince - a consort successfully snuck her son out of the imperial harem and city which allowed him to survive into adulthood, but he was lost to slavers somehow.

And now the emperor has a crown prince. And said crown prince... wants his cousin's concubine for himself.

Yue Qi: Xiao Jiu, I'm coming to save you from this perverted imperial prince! I'm going to free you from this marriage you don't want! You can marry me instead! Shenyuan finds himself alleviated from the stress of wondering if he's going to fall into the hot seat of emperor in the future but at the cost of now having to fight the crown prince for his concubine.

As for Shen Jiu? He's just like fuck, being a concubine was supposed to be a way to hide for a few years to stay away from Cang Qiong. Now, it's like Cang Qiong decided to come to him. What next, the Beast being reborn with his memories too?!
