A few things I want to make clear up regarding this poll
1. Charles Martinet is still the OG - make no mistake, but I have lumped him and Kevin Afghani together because
a) It feels incorrect to just have Charles there when he's not doing it anymore, and disrespectful to Kevin who's honestly doing a great job!
b) It's very clear that Nintendo wanted Kevin to do an impression of Charles' voice, given how similar it sounds. It proves Nintendo treasure Charles' voice as their Mario voice, even with a new actor in the role.
2. SMB3 and SMW (Super Mario Bros 3 and Super Mario World) are shows that followed on from the Super Show. However the voice for Mario in those sounds much different to Albano, so I have counted it separately.
3. Yes 1993 Mario was not animated, but technically it's a Mario voice some are familiar with.

While we meme on those Mario PSAs he was in, to my knowlege at least, Lou Albano was apparently just kinda like that all the time.

Something I don't see enough of in this Mario movie conversation.....
Captain Lou Albano was an ABSOLUTELY AWESOME Super Mario! He did not only the cartoon voice, but the live action sequences as well! You could tell he was passionate about the role as well.
For many, Charles Martinet is THE voice of Mario. I am in no way disagreeing with that sentiment, BUT it cannot be ignored that Captain Lou was Mario as well.
As for Chris Pratt.....just.... no, stick to Starlord and call it done. He has no variation or passion for Mario in his voice.
P.S. Jack Black is the PERFECT Bowser!
