Hi!! Dear friends, I need your help. Could you drop in the comments any queer book/movie titles you can think of? It can be any genres, fiction, nonfiction, educational literature etc

We're making a bibliography at the library I work at for pride, and tho I have already researched and gathered a lot of titles, I want to put as many as possible, so I thought of asking here

Basically from the moment people started banding together as othered/marginalized there were people in those groups going "but I'm not like those other people" who would gatekeep an identity. Regardless of whether it takes the form of "I'm actually marginalized unlike those *other* people who have experiences I'll never have" or just the most blatant bigotry, it's literally all the same.

So I'll say it again, if someone identifies as queer honestly and genuinely. Then that person is queer. I don't care of they appear straight to you or if they appear cis to you. You literally don't know what they're being othered for and why they've come to identify that way.

And if we ever actually get to a point where 'everyone is queer then', then good. The more people willing to identify as queer the less people are gonna be out there marginalizing queer people. Everyone being queer is literally an ideal end scenario.

The spirit of the lgbt community has not ever, and will never, be gatekeeping. Identities aren't clubhouses and being queer doesn't make you inherently cooler or more interesting than those who are not.

all might's own issues with the false image of all might he presents and his own self, toshinori yagi. it would either be a fic set sometime after kamino ward or shoved into the vigilante arc after the very tragic bento scene.

in the case of kamino ward it would be a story about him finding himself and struggling to hold that image up to izuku's fanboying/not seeing himself as quite as amazing as his mentee sees him. he hasn't been able to just be toshinori since nana died and it's a struggle to actually see that people care about him a hell of a lot for who he is.

in the case of post bento scene (rip all might. if you haven't seen the bento scene, well...i think it's coming soon in the anime and it's heartbreaking) toshinori feels like he's failed izuku an overwhelming amount and can't see any worth in all might when people are suffering so much and he has nothing useful to give. maybe in this au the scene with stain doesn't happen, so toshinori doesn't end up returning to UA with a more positive outlook and izuku has to go looking for him and they have to actually talk about their issues together. izuku about how unwilling he was to accept help and let people get hurt on the off-chance and toshinori about how much he didn't want to see him go down the same road as him and how he feels like he's failed him as a mentor

Me pre-movie: Oh! Minako like a fem version of Minato (narrator: little did she know, Minato was unisex). But Hamuko is a fun one too! Such fun fan names. I’ll use Minako if I’m doing a Twin AU tho. Me, post-movie pre-stage play and P5: Oh I could do Makoto Yuki. I mean it’s the male’s name, and they are probs one and the same person. And Makoto Yuki is unisex so it works out (narrator: dipshit over here still doesn’t realize Minato is unisex). Regardless, they seem to go for the anime names so I should get attached to this instead. Don’t want a repeat of Souji. :’) Maybe I’ll give her a nickname of “Ko/Kou-chan” just for fun. Me, post-movie and stage play, pre-P5: Oh she has a new semi official name! Kotone! And so does the MC! Sadly I don’t think they’ll use/get attached to them. seriously cannot believe what is happening in davenport (iowa) this week, half of a 6-storey brick apartment building just collapsed — and the condition may have been worsened and/or disguised by painted brick, of all things.

they're still looking for missing residents but the city was, horrifyingly, going to outright dismiss any 'unsubstantiated' claim that there were people missing who might still be stuck inside and demolish the whole thing. only when a bunch of people showed up to protest this decision did they finally decide to delay that order. there are 5 residents missing, 2 of whom are suspected to still be in the building or the collapsed rubble. and the city was literally content to possibly murder them.
