Crunchyroll: annunciate altre quattro serie per l’autunno simulcast della piattaforma

Confermate le nuove stagioni di World Trigger, Let's Make a Mug Too e il nuovo OVA di The Ancient Magus’ Bride, assieme a Digimon Ghost Game!

Mancano pochi giorni all’inizio della stagione autunnale e il palinsesto simulcast di Crunchyroll si arricchisce ancora di altre quattro anime, che potremo seguire in streaming da ottobre, in contemporanea con la trasmissione in Giappone.

DIGIMON GHOST GAME

Nuova serie animata dello storico franchise legato ai celebri mostri digitali, attualmente in lavorazione presso gli studi TOEI ANIMATION (Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai, World Trigger).

L’anime è diretto da Kimitoshi Chioka (Dragon Ball Super) in coppia con Masato Mitsuka (Digimon Adventure:). La sceneggiatura è in mano a Masashi Sogo (Fairy Tail), mentre le musiche sono composte da Kow Otani (Mobile Suit Gundam Wing).

La storia inizia con delle strane voci online di avvistamenti di “fantasmi olografici”. Hiro inizia a vedere i Digimon dopo aver attivato un Digivice che gli ha lasciato suo padre e insieme a Gammamon comincia a indagare sugli insoliti fenomeni che accadono intorno a loro. È così che durante la sua vita quotidiana, lentamente mette piede nel mondo dei Digimon.

Il design dei personaggi è stato concepito dal mangaka Tenya Yabuno (Inazuma Eleven, Pokémon Horizon: Sun & Moon) ed è stato adattato da Mariko Ito (Anonymous Noise). Per quanto riguarda i Digimon, invece, il design ad opera di Cho Shinozuka si basa su quello originale creato da Kenji Watanabe.

LET’S MAKE A MUG TOO (Stagione 2)

Seconda stagione della serie slice of life basata sull’omonimo manga promozionale dedicato alla città di Tajimi e all’arte della ceramica. L’anime viene accompagnato anche da una sezione live-action, durante la quale le doppiatrici delle protagoniste si cimentano in varie attività, visitando un po’ la città e provando i manicaretti locali.

La città di Tajimi, situata nella parte meridionale della prefettura di Gifu, in Giappone, è famosa per la terracotta Mino. La città è costellata di produttori di ceramiche storiche e di musei d'arte ceramica. Dispone di strutture dove è possibile cimentarsi nella lavorazione della ceramica e di molti ristoranti che servono cibo su piatti Minoware. La storia inizia quando una liceale si trasferisce in una via dello shopping a Tajimi. La aspettano molti incontri, amici, gente di città, arte della ceramica e tanto altro!

A dirigere l’adattamento presso gli studi NIPPON ANIMATION (Anna dai capelli rossi, Haikara-san ga Tooru Movie) è ancora Jun Kamiya (Kingdom). La sceneggiatura è curata di nuovo da Naruhisa Arakawa (Maoyuu Maou Yuusha), mentre è sempre Ayano Yoshioka a supervisionare il comparto animazioni e il character design.

WORLD TRIGGER (Stagione 3)

Terza stagione della serie sci-fi tratta dall’omonimo shonen manga di Daisuke Ashihara, edito in Italia da Star Comics.

Un giorno, nella città di Mikado si aprì un Portale verso un altro mondo. I Neighbor, invasori provenienti da un'altra dimensione, invasero l'area attorno al Portale, gettando la città nel panico. A sorpresa, un'organizzazione misteriosa fece la sua comparsa e scacciò i Neighbor. L'organizzazione, chiamata Border Defence Agency, svolge ricerche indipendenti sulla tecnologia Neighbor e combatte per difendere il nostro mondo. In poco tempo costruirono un'enorme base e misero a punto un sistema di difesa contro i Neighbor. Da quel giorno sono passati quattro anni.

Prodotta sempre da TOEI ANIMATION (Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai, World Trigger), la regia della serie è affidata a Morio Hatano (Dragon Ball Super, Saint Seiya Omega). Alla sceneggiatura e al character design tornano rispettivamente Hiroyuki Yoshino (Izetta: The Last Witch, Black Butler: Book of Circus) e Toshihisa Kaiya (Ascendance of a Bookworm). La colonna sonora è firmata sempre da Kenji Kawai (Mob Psycho 100, No Guns Life). .

THE ANCIENT MAGUS’ BRIDE - THE BOY FROM THE WEST AND THE KNIGHT OF THE BLUE STORM

Nuova trilogia di OVA basata sul manga fantasy di Kore Yamazaki, edito in Italia da Star Comics. Il primo episodio è stato allegato al volume numero 16 del fumetto, uscito in Giappone il 10 settembre, mentre gli altri usciranno il 10 marzo 2022 e il 10 settembre 2022.

Poco prima che Chise diventasse una studentessa a tempo pieno, durante il sonnellino di Cartaphilus... Chise ha ricevuto un invito all'accademia e lei, con l'aiuto di Elias e degli altri, ha iniziato a prepararsi. In un giorno tanto pieno, è arrivato uno spriggan a casa sua su uno strano cavallo a recare un messaggio secondo cui "qualcosa di male sarebbe accaduto durante la caccia selvaggia". Gabriel, un normale ragazzo appena trasferito da Londra, era annoiato. Da questa situazione in cui era lontano dai suoi amici e in una terra a lui estranea. Da tutto. Guardava fuori dalla finestra, come se volesse fuggire attraverso essa, quando ha scorto del fumo di tabacco. Quando è corso fuori per rincorrerlo è successo l'impossibile: il suo mondo ha iniziato a sovrapporsi a quello nascosto dei maghi.

Questo nuovo adattamento è considerato la prima parte di un nuovo progetto d’animazione, preso in carico dal neonato STUDIO KAFKA, appena fondato da Kouichi Naruse, ex membro di WIT STUDIO (After the Rain, L’Attacco dei Giganti, Vivy: Fluorite Eye’s Song), assieme agli animatori Takahiko Abiru (designer e direttore d’animazione in Vinland Saga) e Kazuaki Terasawa (direttore d’episodio in Overlord II e Anonymous Noise).

La regia dell’anime è affidata proprio a quest’ultimo, mentre alla sceneggiatura ritorna Aya Takaha (The Ancient Magus’ Bride, The Ancient Magus’ Bride: Those Awaiting a Star), con al fianco Yoko Yonaiyama (Uma Musume Pretty Derby). Il design dei personaggi è sempre curato da Hirotaka Katou (Hoozuki no Reitetsu, The Ancient Magus’ Bride) e anche le musiche sono firmate ancora una volta da Junichi Matsumoto (Plunderer, The Ancient Magus’ Bride).

Is there anyone who's playable in Dynasty Warriors now you think spouse (By spouse I mean being married to someone) should also be playable who is not? Also same question with children who should be playable?And with that I think I want out a family.

Of the Cao, I think Cao Cao’s wife Lady Bian (mother of Pi, Zhi, and Zhang) would be an excellent addition, particularly if she’s the one responsible for Cao Cao’s more merciful decisions in the narrative (like sparing former enemy officers such as Zhang Liao and Jia Xu). I think his daughter Cao Jie would be a solid character, being Han’s last empress and known for a fiery display of defiance against her brother. I also think there’s to be gained by including the martial Cao Zhang, and perhaps even the drunken poet Cao Zhi, although I’ve never been fond of the latter.

I also think that Cao Rui (son of Cao Pi and Madam Zhen) is a natural choice, given that an appreciable portion of the narrative takes place during his reign (namely Zhuge Liang’s various campaigns).

Xun Yu’s son Xun Yi was a major figure in Western Jin. He was a longtime friend of the Sima brothers, a close confidant who helped orchestrate their rise to power and reaped the rewards of doing so. Intelligent but corrupt, he’d be a fun contrast to his father.

Sun Jian’s wife, Lady Wu, could also be a fantastic inclusion. She was a strong-willed and level-headed woman who provided sound advice to her husband and suns prior to her death. She could be a great contrast to her fiery husband and eldest son.

Sun Luban, the daughter of Bu Lianshi and Sun Quan, was an extremely influential figure in Wu during the final years of Sun Quan’s reign, and during the time of the three regents (Zhuge Ke, Sun Jun, and Sun Chen). Her sister Sun Luyu might also be a worthwhile addition, as the two fought for years until Luban arranged for her sister’s death.

Lu Xun’s sun Lu Kang was a talented official who was arguably the paramount figure of Wu’s final years, though I think that if the story isn’t extended until Jin’s conquest of Wu he loses a lot of his relevance.

The same can be said of Zhu Ran’s son Shi Ji, one of Wu’s leading figures during the reigns of Sun Xiu and Sun Hao.

Liu Bei’s wife Lady Mi and concubine Lady Gan (Liu Shan’s mother) could both be interesting inclusions but it would require the story to spend more time on Liu Bei’s early years than DW usually wants to. There’s potential there but I doubt it’d be realized.

Zhuge Zhan, son of Zhuge Liang and presumably Lady Huang (Yueying) seems like a natural choice. He was one of Shu’s leading figures during its final years and famous led the final failed defense against Deng Ai at Mianzhu. I’m surprised he’s not in these games already.

I personally don’t have much faith in this, but theoretically Guan Yu’s wife (named Hu Jinding in Hua Guan Suo Zhuan and that seems as good a name as any) could add a lot to their family dynamic. If Guan Yu has three sons and a daughter, adding his wife is logical.

Sima Shi had two wives who could be interesting although it depends on the narrative. His first wife Xiahou Hui (who he allegedly murdered) was the daughter of Xiahou Shang and sister of Xiahou Xuan, and I’d be happy to see all three of them given the spotlight. His third wife Yang Huiyu (sister of Yang Hu), was an influential woman much loved by his family. Sima Yan even honored her as though she was his own mother. Aside from her relationship with Sima Shi (and potentially Yang Hu) she’d presumably bring a new dynamic to Wang Yuanji as well, and she could really use it.

As for the Others, I think Yuan Shao has potential. His wife Lady Liu was a very sinister woman, one who had several of his concubines murdered and desecrated after his death to prevent them from meeting in the afterlife. She also helped arrange for Yuan Shang to inherit control instead of the older Yuan Tan. A sinister power player would be an interesting character to add. Related to that, I think there’s an argument for including Yuan Tan and Yuan Shang as well; particularly the former. Yuan Tan was one of his father’s most accomplished generals; he defeated Liu Bei to seize much of Qing province and led the retreat form Guandu, during which he captured a number of cities in southern Ji who defected to Cao Cao.

Those are the ones who come to mind, though I’m sure someone else is likely to chime in with their own ideas.

PS it’s still weird to me that Chen Tai is not in these games.

Bungou Stray Dogs - Characters - Tier List

Gli elenchi chiamano e io rispondo.

Dopo la supermassiva presenza di pokémon, mi son detta che potevo pure andare a tierlistare altrove. Ovviamente, non poteva che essere BSD.

[Grandine di spoiler grossa come uova per chi non segue il manga.]

Confesso di non essermi resa conto fino alla fine che la posizione S sarebbe stata occupata da (al momento) soli due tizi. La cosa più bella è che sono anche la mia OTP di BSD. Non era voluto! Davvero!

Posizione intermedia per due altri due tizi che, se rimangono bellissimi come sono ora, volano dritti alla S. Sigma si è fatto amare nel giro di cinque pagine. E, alla battaglia, stavo genuinamente tifando per lui. E VOGLIO SAPERE CHE AUTORE È (Io voto per Saint-Exupéry, ma ci sono indizi che potrebbero hintare Camus ). Gogol è forse il più gnocco di tutto BSD e ha seri problemi di iperattività; se già non fosse divertente averlo in scena, sembra pure avere qualcosa di serio e persino brokoro. Lui, in particolare, può scivolare alla A, se fa casino alla B+/B, se continua su questa linea va di diritto in S.

La linea A è occupata da gente adorabile, gente tsunderissima e gente rincoglionita. Atsushi è adorabile. Aveva un po’ rotto con il suo Flashback (con la maiuscola), ma in generale è molto cute. Kyouka, all’inizissimo, non mi faceva troppo impazzire, causa essere l’incarnazione dello stereotipo animanga della “ragazzina killer”, con bonus kuudere a sottolineare il cliché. Invece, è una di quelle personagge che è bello trovare in un seinen: forte, ma non Maria Susina, decisa, ma non inscalfibile, con una storia e una sottotrama interamente riguardanti sua madre (naturale e adottiva), con il romance esistente ma che non diventa lo scopo del suo personaggio. Considero lei e Atsushi praticamente sposati - e non capisco perché farla quattordicenne invece di sedicenne. Ma tanto suppongo arriverà un time skip che renderà la differenza d’età tra loro due meno una preoccupazione. Kunikida è tsunderissimo, quindi non può che andare bene. Ultimamente ha pochissimo spazio, e preferirei non avesse il Momento Trauma in ogni singolo arco. Odasaku... Credo sia uno di quei personaggi che è difficile non apprezzare. E la leggendaria Dark Era ha lasciato il segno un po’ in tutti gli spettatori/lettori. Nonostante il Papino per antonomasia mi piaccia, a volte preferirei fosse meno idolatrato- Oguri è stato una sorpresa. È abbastanza cessacchiotto e ha la faccia da scemo - diciamo che, dopo il discutibile arco del Cannibalismo, non è che mi ispirasse granché. Invece, appena apparso, già mi ha fatto ridere. Poi mi ha fatto brokorare. È stratsunderissimo, praticamente himedere, è un idiota ma è un piacere averlo in scena. Me lo immagino con la voce di Daisuke Hirakawa (Forse perché mi ricorda un po’ Rei Ryugazaki) che già ha avuto un ruolo in BSD, quindi non sarà doppiato da lui, ma vabbè. Con solo Dead Apple e l’anime, Dostoevskij era in C. Non era in “Indifferenti” solo perché “Io sono il Delitto, Io sono il Castigo, Delitto e Castigo sono amici” e il fatto che dovesse richiamare la Strega Cattiva mi aveva fatto rotolare. Poi ho letto il manga. E ho scoperto che è uno yandere rincoglionito. È yandere ma, il più delle volte, è troppo stordito per ricordarselo. E io amo gli yandere scemi. Mi dispiace un sacco che il Bones abbia tagliato tipo tutte le sue facce stordite e l’abbia fatto sembrare serio, ma capisco volessero tenere alta la tensione- BTW, ora è assolutamente in A.

La B+ sono i personaggi che non mi dispiacciono, con alcuni dal grande potenziale. Yosano, già mistress (!) di suo, ha guadagnato un sacco di punti con il suo flashback - così come Tachihara, prima per me abbastanza indifferente. Ho un po’ sudato freddo quando si è scoperto quale fosse il suo potere, dato il rischio Potere Livello Dio Incontrollato (vedasi i livelli a cui arriva Magneto) ma, per fortuna, è stato presto ridimensionato. (Insomma, c’è già Chuuya ad avere un Potere Livello Dio Incontrollato che viene controllato solo non facendolo rimanere in scena-) Fitzgerald ha scalato la classifica con l’episodio a lui dedicato. Non si può rimanere indifferenti alle pentole. (!) Di tutti gli altri, quelli da cui mi aspetto di più sono Tanizaki e soprattutto Q. Extra della linea B+, qui assente: Babbo Rando, perché non si meritava tutto quello che gli è successo. Probabilmente, non si meritava neanche un marito come sembra Verlaine-

La B sono i personaggi che “mi stanno bene”. Kenji ha guadagnato punti dal suo spargere positività nei momenti più cupi (E nella sua losca transizione da Finny a Oz). Visto quanto è spammata ultimamente, mi aspetto qualcosa da Gin. Ed esigo un’evoluzione psicologica per Higuchi, perché “la prima scrittrice giapponese donna” non può rimanere succube e impacciata. E io ci vedo un sacco di lesbo tra queste due-

La C sono i personaggi che “mi stanno bene” ma non hanno avuto troppo spazio per giudicarli. Ango non mi sta antipatico, è pure doppiato da Jun Fukuyama, ma sembra che proprio non ce la faccia a non fare il quadruplo gioco. Kajii è lol, ma sembra più un folle comic relief - persino la sua prima apparizione era, in realtà, in funzione di Yosano. Steinbeck è forse l’unico membro della Gilda che si è mai davvero impegnato, ma purtroppo sfigura di fronte agli altri personaggi. Dato che si è messo a capo della Gilda 2.0, mi aspetto qualcosa da parte sua. Hawthorne e la Mitchell hanno un sacco di potenziale, ma sono apparsi davvero pochissimo e sono impossibili da giudicare. Visti anche Dimmesdale e Rossella, immagino un sacco di angst. (E quant’è bello che da un parte ci sia The Scarlet Letter e dall’altra Scarlet O’Hara?) La Alcott è cute, ma per il momento è apparsa gran poco. Idem per Twain, che ha un design molto carino, sembra simpatico, ma ha la stessa presenza di un soprammobile.

Gončarov, Shibusawa, Melville e Gide (qui assente) mi sono assolutamente indifferenti. Melville più per il suo screentime totale di forse cinque minuti. L’avrei pure messo in C, ma ha oggettivamente DUE scene DUE e non è detto riappaia, quindi... Gide era quello con più potenziale, nella novel molto più complesso e bizzarramente appiattito nell’anime - ma, anche nella novel, necessitava come minimo di un capitolo dedicato. (Fun facts: Pensavo fosse presente nella tier list. Invece era Kouyou. Non so come abbia fatto l’autore della tier list a prendere l’unica immagine in cui Kouyou non ha la sua eterna espressione da Mammina Paziente, ma okay-) (Sì, ho confuso Kouyou con Gide, ma da quell’angolazione ci sta, su. (!?)) Gončarov e Shibusawa, invece, fanno il loro “onesto” (?) lavoro. In compenso, Shibusawa ha delle belle carte in Bungou Mayoi. (!!!!!) E chissà che non abbia più spazio in Storm Bringer.

La fila “E tu chi sei?” credo si spieghi da sola. Ace è un idiota. Ma proprio stupido, con un potere demenziale. Povero Karma e povero Fedoro. Se non altro, quell’episodio è bellissimo (Per merito di Karma e Fedoro, ovviamente.) Puškin... Cioè, non... Magari il concept del “codardo” aveva pure qualcosa di interessante, ma lui come personaggio è talmente nulla che per me è “Russo 2” (“Russo 1” è Gončarov). A voler infierire, il concept dell’essere impotente di fronte agli eventi è fatto triliardi e triliardi ma proprio triliardi di volte meglio con Sigma.

Si arriva quindi alla fascia più bassa. Ossia i Cani da Caccia. Detto chiaramente: non li sopporto, perché il loro essere Gari Stuini e Marie Susine (dichiarati) viene costantemente ribadito, con una frequenza asfissiante: vengono osannati/temuti/rispettati ad ogni loro singola apparizione, non si può avere un Cane in scena senza prima ribadire quanto sia bellofortefAigoinvincibile. Almeno non sono serissimi e hanno un accenno di “comicità” giusto per, ma non mi hanno mai fatta ridere. Anzi, un paio di volte ho pure cringiato. Ho goduto come un riccio quando è arrivato Chuuya a gonfiare Jouno e Tecchou - Chuuya dal potenziale Gary Stu immenso, ma nessuno sta lì a lodarlo, ribadirlo o anche solo permettergli di stare in scena per più di mezzo episodio per volta (Grazie Fifteen, grazie spudorata fanservice di Dead Apple). E, come ho già detto, nella battaglia di Sigma vs Teruko, stavo seriamente tifando per il primo.

Tecchou e Teruko sono quelli che più sopporto in scena. Tecchou perché continua a chiedersi cosa ci faccia lì, ha sputtanato Jouno e, in generale, mi sembra il più intelligente. Teruko viene presentata come l’incarnazione dello stereotipo della loli incazzosissima MA comunque superfAiga, che guai a farla arrabbiare!, lei è troppo fortebellafAiga! Con mia grande sorpresa, nel miniarco del casinò guadagna svariati punti, mostrando il suo lato più umano (le sofferenze che comporta l’essere un Cane) e mostrando anche quanto creda davvero nel suo lavoro di poliziotta. Non fosse stato ribadito fino allo sfinimento quanto fosse superfortesuperfAiga e non fosse stata contro Sigma, avrei persino potuto metterla in un C-. La penso con la voce di Aoi Yuuki, perché Teruko è palesemente ispirata a Tanya von Degurechaff.

Il punto più basso della classifica è occupato dagli altri due Cani. Si va in un crescendo di simpatia, insomma.

Prima del Grande Colpone di Scena, Fukuchi era il nulla. L’unico suo dettaglio di riconoscimento era l’essere protagonista di gag che non fanno ridere. L’avrei messo in “E tu chi sei?” ma, a seguito del Grande Colpone di Scena, è precipitato vicino a Jouno. Il motivo è molto semplice: Il Nulla Cosmico sarebbe (secondo loro) colui che manovra personaggi del calibro di Dostoevskij, Gogol e Sigma? Ci credo tantissimo. (Sono della fazione che crede che il vero capo sia l’ultimo membro degli Angioletti Marciti.) La motivazione, poi, sembra di una povertà devastante. È un gigantesco No.

Infine, sul punto più basso della classifica, Jouno. Jouno è l’unico personaggio di BSD che mi sta davvero sulle balle. È un Cane (quindi si parte male), di più, è il più spietato dei Cani, è crudele, è saaaaadiiiicooooo, ma proprio sadicissimo, è uno yandere che proprio cioè guarda, è addirittura colui che riesce ad arrestare Dazai in una scena di profonda inquietudine yandere. (Ovviamente, Dazai si è fatto arrestare.) Bonus scazzo: ha quasi lo stesso nome di Jonouchi, che è uno dei miei personaggi preferiti di Yu-Gi-Oh!. Questo è il motivo per cui Jouno mi sta sulle balle: se la crede, tutti ci credono (per nessun motivo), sembra l’unico yandere (parte “dere” non pervenuta), l’unico spietato, quasi trascenda il “profondo e dannato”... In un animanga che presenta personaggi tipo Dazai. Dazai. Anzi, avendo proprio un confronto diretto con Dazai stesso. Per dire, Mori riesce ad essere spanne e spanne più crudele e inquietante, e senza fare tutte le scene che fa lui. Addirittura Tanizaki, nei momenti in cui sembra uno squilibrato, lo si prende più sul serio. Se poi si vuole parlare di sadismo vero e proprio, credo Q sia abbastanza imbattibile. Non è meglio di nessuno ma, per nessun motivo, sembra gli si voglia appiccicare addosso un alone di Pericolosità IncrediBBile. Che palle.

E questi sono i miei pareri sui personaggi di BSD. Volevo farli da un po’ e la tier list me ne ha dato l’occasione. Chissà che non cambi qualcosa. Vedremo come sono l’ultimo Angioletto Marcito e il buon (?) Verlaine...

Mulan: la spada riflette la guerriera nei character poster

A quasi due mesi esatti dall’arrivo del film nelle sale, ecco che la Disney ha diffuso online i character poster ufficiali del live action di Mulan. Il classico d’animazione originale è uscito nel 1998 ed è divenuto celebre anche grazie alla sua colonna sonora e a canzoni quali “Reflection” e “I’ll Make a Man Out of You”. Il live action, che non sarà un musical, ci concentrerà sulla storia e sulla leggenda originale, ossia quella di una giovane donna che decide di sostituire suo padre in guerra e salvare così il suo popolo.

Una delle più grandi differenze tra il live action e il classico d’animazione Disney sarà l’assenza del personaggio di Mushu, doppiato nel cartone originale da Eddie Murphy. La regista Niki Caro, che di recente ha presento il film a Milano, aveva spiegato le ragioni dietro l’assenza del piccolo drago rosso nel suo adattamento:

“Per me era inconcepibile ricreare il personaggio d Mushu, perché nel film di animazione era un personaggio perfetto, così come era perfetta la recitazione che l’ha portato sul grande schermo. Per un senso di rispetto verso il film d’animazione volevo che rimanesse quello, puntando nel live action su una storia che voleva essere più vera e intima e al tempo stesso epica. La cosa straordinaria del personaggio è la sua sconfinata libertà e l’umorismo. C’�� dell’umorismo anche nel live action, che nasce dal rapporto di Mulan con questo mondo di soli uomini, l’aspetto comico del fatto che, se vogliamo, si tratta di una ragazza travestita da uomo in un mondo maschile.”

Il live action di Mulan introdurrà una serie di nuovi personaggi, come il Comandante Tung (interpretato da Donnie Yen), che servirà da mentore alla protagonista, o come Xian Lang (interpretata da Gong Li), descritta come una potentissima strega.
