I had to take Lavi out during Cherry Blossoms just to have a reference to the time in Edo.

Usually I sit on my photos for some weeks (ehem ... more months) before I post them. But as I sat on Lavi's overall reveal so long I had the urge to take him out yesterday, which was, after a week that was 90% stress, not my best idea. I have to get used to him, he's - out of the DGM Dolls - the far worst to pose. Even worse than Tyki :') which is a shame as with his whole history as a doll it doesn't make things easier.

Recently made this blue knit skirt and orange dress for my dolls! The orange dress is edged with blue machine-embroidered flowers. The skirt is made from a yoke pattern from the Japanese Knitting Stitch Bible by Hitomi Shida, and it's knit with a yarn that has sequins throughout.

Hello Linhardt!

I am so happy to finally have him. He's a Charmdoll Sleeping Eric in Peony White Resin.

I spotted him on DOA a few months ago. He was looking for a new home and I needed a Christmas present idea - Perfect match!

I will be embodying Linhardt from FE3H on this doll. He doesn't have a body yet, but I have a plan hehe! I already have a few clothes and the perfect wig!

Lots of work is upcoming. Very excited!

holy shit the face i made when i saw the box in the porch lmao omg. oh my god. new dolls in literally a decade

anyways a bunch of first thoughts

HOLY SHIT THEY’RE BIG

the dc noah body is kicky but not too bad, it balances pretty okay. also i’m pretty sure the body isn’t actually meant to take a whole Bunch of poses anyways so....whatever

cd carson body has some Real Long Legs and oh my god i didn’t think he’d be this pale. faceup is gonna be like toasting a marshmallow

the unoa face is actually a surprisingly good match size-wise for the dc noah body! i’m gonna get a couple of faceplates in the fairy skin and airbrush this one a paler colour

unoa face + dc noah body has a decent range of motion for the neck, though it does have a bit of trouble looking downwards. but also it was hell trying to get the s-hook onto the headback so maybe it’ll just take a bit of time? or tbh it might be that the bottom of the headback is too flat to allow much downward movement

dc carson is so slender. he’s so skinny. dc noah was much heavier than expected (but also idk what i expected?? did i expect it’d be like figmas???? lmao but also oh my god i would kill for a centaur figma)

i also wanna say, i absolutely loathe the way these were packed. i prefer the foam inserts like iplehouse or fairyland, especially for storage since both these methods look like they’d absolutely murder any body blushing. so i’m gonna buy some foam blocks myself, carve them, and upholster(?) the insert in satin so that it doesn’t scratch off the inevitable blushing i’m gonna do for tabris (the dc noah)

ANYWAYS I’M SO HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IM SO HAPPY BUT OH GOD. THE THINGS I HAVE TO BUY NOW. EYES ESPECIALLY. i’m super broke

Boxopening - Charmdoll Body

To be honest I am just done after a horrible day at work.. and horrible is a compliment. It took me 1 1/2 hours after coming home to unbox the body.

Even with me falling half asleep of exhaustion I wanted to unbox. The body is sturdy, the joining system of the ankles is ... weird and I never had a doll with a system like that before??? (There is basically no joints, the leg parts are rounded and the feet have a mold for them to fit in?)

The resin match is not perfect but not too bad. I had the fear the head might not fit onto the neck but it does, I will maybe mod it a bit later on, it's not that noticable with cloth and a wig.

The wig will be finally cut & styled once I have his headband done and all, need to adjust it accordingly. Luckily his own pair of eyes got shipped already. I thought I had enoug green eyes.. yeah... I do... but all too big for him except that pair :')
