Got inspired by the Six Fanarts meme but instead of other people giving me characters to draw I just chose them myself.
These six are mostly Unova kids (Darcel is the only one who isn’t but he’s not mine so does that even count), and are three duos of Detectives and their Criminal Nemeses (who then become their love interests) who each embody a character archetype of the genre. Going column by column...
Amelia Mistral (Skyla & Elesa’s daughter) as: The Sleuth - Amelia is an amateur detective and reporter looking for the next big scoop. She often ends in over her head, but her pluck and wit lead her to find plenty of clever solutions nonetheless!
Cicely “Cici” Callahan (Cress & an OC Team Plasma Grunt named Brad’s daughter) as The Femme Fatale - Cici was raised by her father Brad after he left the team following the events of BW. Growing up in Castelia, it wasn’t long before she fell in with a bad crowd, as they say, and began turning to a life of petty-and then not so petty-crime. Known for being a deadly flirt.
Vivian Yanagi (Brycen & Sabrina’s son) as The Inspector - An up and coming hot-shot young Interpol detective, Vivian is determined to use his psychic powers for the sake of bringing order to the chaos of Unova’s big cities. He hopes to make a name for himself apart from his famous actor parents’ reputations, but a certain thief has been making his life difficult recently.
Jules Miyamoto (Jessie & Matori’s son from a one night stand) as The Gentleman Thief - Raised by his mother Jessie and her partner James, Jules had no shortage of excellent fashion and mischief inspiration growing up. Now, he’s Castelia’s most (in)famous thief, having won the hearts of the people by exposing corruption, stealing back stolen items, and donating his looted riches to those in need (after pocketing some of the prettiest jewels for himself... never hurts to save up!) Along with his partner Lupin the Zoroark - who often transforms into him to help them evade capture - Jules has eluded the authorities so far, and greatly enjoys teasing the uptight young detective who keeps narrowly missing him.
Hymnia Morvan (Grimsley & Shauntal’s daughter) as The Private Eye - Grimsley’s daughter born after a fling with a mysterious white-haired scientist from Sinnoh, Hymnia always showed an uncanny intelligence and love of problem-solving growing up. Eventually, with the aid of her friend Penelope, she set up her own detective agency to assist those with the most interesting unsolved mysteries who come to seek her aid. While on the surface her business seems ordinary, some of her clients can’t help but feel something off-putting about her beyond normal eccentricity... but surely that’s simply their imaginations.
Darcel Richelieu (@pkmnomegaverse ‘s Trevor’s Sister & OC Veteran’s son) as The Mastermind - Darcel is a young criminal ringleader in the making, thriving on deceiving and toying with others to his own ends. If there’s trouble afoot, he’s sure to be there - or to have caused it. After becoming involved with Hymnia’s cousin Bertie, he decides he wants to get to know the so-called genius detective a bit better, and thus their great game of rivalry begins. Are they simply a detective and criminal forever at odds or... is the line between the duo’s allegiances much more blurred than that?

Judgement meme!
Tumblr media
"⚡⚡Alright dearies! Bonnie has just informed me of the most adorable trend in which I judge you all! I promise to be fair and—⚡⚡"
Xirkit gets cut off by a tealblood immediately sliding in front of her, filling up the camera.
Tumblr media
" [o]-- > Aht aht aht—Hold on a second chica, I said that because I wanted to do it too!"
Tumblr media
"⚡⚡Bonnie, you didn't have to break into my hive for this. You could've simply asked and I would've said yes!⚡⚡"
Tumblr media
"[o]-- > Waltz in and we'll both judge you. Better be quick, I got places to be and people to smash."
//Rb this with 1-2 trolls and both Xirkit and Bonnie will judge them! Judgebacks are fine too.

Hi! This isn't from a meme but I find your writing quite unique and compelling and I was wondering if you could share your literary influences like authors, books, etc.
So…last night i wrote out a whole long answer to this….then i went to check something on GoodReads….and then i remembered The Crush™ said she loves GoodReads….and i looked her up….AND I FOUND THAT SHE DEF READS REALLY BAD, REALLY STEAMY LESBIAN EROTICAAAAAA.
Understandably, I had a massive scream and shut all my browser tabs on accident and lost this post. So, thank you, sweet anon, who ever you are….you have given me….such….a….gift. omggggg.
So I’m sorry if this is a bit less organized, I think my brain is like….gone now.
BUT to answer your question (and thank you, that is the nicest comment!!!), first, I’m a HUGE book re-reader. On a yearly basis I reread the following (often more than once) and I think they’re very engrained into who I am and how I write:
1) Harry Potter (whole series yearly reread, but that’s a duh! like many of us, its foundational.)2) Ella Enchanted, Gail Carson Levine (something about this book just…ugh. I think it’s very Gay Experience? Like at the end where she’s trying to break the spell, especially, I think that had a lot of influence on me). 3) Crown Duel, Sherwood Smith (I’m on my 8th copy of this book because I’ve worn it out. I have such strong feelings for this protagonist, I just understand her and I cry through the whole book)4) Deathless, Catherynne M. Valente & also her Fairyland Series (The Crush™ rated lesbian erotica higher than Fairyland and I’m SHOOK). If I could write like anyone in the world, it would be CMV. She also has this short story in a wlw anthology all about how Gretel fell in love with the witch, and pushed her into the fire all the same. Now her brother dominates her life and she goes back in the nights and sits among the burnt out gingerbread house with the witch’s bones and like…oh my wowww, ok, yes I want to write like her. 5) Connie Willis’s time travel series. My current fic is super influenced by Black Out and All Clear, probably the best researched historical I’ve ever read. I literally get confused on the subway and will not remember I’m not in wwii London. And my other fic, ‘i wanna grow up from the rhythm of a younger heart’ was very much inspired by her book To Say Nothing of the Dog. 6) For plot twists, all books by Kate Morton and The Thirteen Tale by Diane Setterfield (I’m still GASPING. That level of didn’t see it coming, but all the clues were there, is everything I aspire to). 7) The Enchanted Forest Chronicles, Patricia C. Wrede (this series is also super foundation to me. they’re just amazing).
I also grew up obsessed with fairytales (and def not Disney, was DEF not a Disney kid). I liked them dark and mysterious. I was obsessed with illustrations, like my mom had old anthology of My Bookhouse books from the 1920s with the original Beaupré Miller illustrations. The stories were from all over and I think they really had an impact on me. and I had really beautifully illustrated Eugene Field poetry book and of course all the Cicely Mary Barker Flower Books, and my grandmother’s original Raggedy Anne books which had really beautiful fairies. I feel like when I write, I’m always trying to bring those visual back because to me they just had a very specific, magical feeling for me.
Also, and maybe this sounds weird, but growing up I watched a LOT of old movie musicals. And I think something of the heightened drama and manner of dialogue rubbed off on me in some way. Like Katharine Hepburn in the Philadelphia Story and anything with Judy Garland (I cry through like everything with her) and Fred and Ginger movies that are like….absurdist  but also weirdly emotional?
And I think I’ve always been attracted to like, pining and longing…like I memorized the entirety of The Lady of Shalott and would recite it to my class when i was like 10 years old and I would be SO EMOTIONAL. LOL.
this was longer than it should have been ahhhh! sorry! but thanks for asking, I’m not sure how I got to be such a emo magic obsessed lil bean but those are def all factors.
Happy New Year!

Aretha Franklin came to Washington to sing _ and for history
New Post has been published on https://is.gd/IjuB3T
Aretha Franklin came to Washington to sing _ and for history
As a 21-year-old Aretha Franklin worked on her singing voice in New York during the summer of 1963, her father, Rev. C. L. Franklin, raced to finish the final touches on the planned March of Washington.
Nearly five decades later, Franklin found herself in Washington and performing “My Country ‘Tis of Thee” at the inauguration of the nation’s first black president.
It wasn’t the first time she sang to a Leader of the Free World. Throughout her career, the “Queen of Soul” often returned to the nation’s capital for performances that at times put her in line with key moments of U.S. history. She sang for diplomats, welcomed emperors and brought one president — Barack Obama — to tears.
Franklin accepted many honors and performed for charities and civil rights groups in Washington. She even got in one heated argument at the White House with another unnamed diva that resulted in the two performers reportedly exchanging obscene gestures toward each other.
For the Memphis, Tennessee-born, Detroit-raised Franklin, it’s not surprising she found herself in Washington late in her career.
Franklin surrounded herself with the politics of the day and often referenced her experiences alongside episodes of U.S. history in speeches, interviews and her 1999 autobiography, “Aretha: From These Roots.”
She noted in her book, for example, that she was born three months after Pearl Harbor and her father backed Democrat Adlai Stevenson for president in 1956. “Daddy was a staunch, lifelong Democrat, as I am,” she wrote.
Franklin also mentioned that family passed down tales about the historic treatment of African-Americans, from slavery to sharecropping — something she’d never forget. “My grandmother, whom we all called Big Mama, had worked the fields herself and told us stories of those difficult days,” Franklin wrote in her autobiography. “No matter how much cotton you picked, you always owed the man.”
After Franklin found success, she began to make money. “I was intent on enjoying it,” she said. “I tithed and gave to many charities, including Jesse Jackson’s Operation Breadbasket, the NAACP, Operation PUSH, UNICEF, and Easter Seals.”
Franklin hit the scene as soul and rhythm and blues had supplanted jazz as the preferred music of young African Americans. Performers like Dinah Washington, Sarah Vaughn, Lena Horne, and Ella Fitzgerald, though respected and admired, were falling out of favor among the younger generation. As a leader in the new soul movement, Franklin gain credibility and Democratic groups and civil rights organizations sought her out for performances that eventually landed her in Washington or near political centers of power.
In 1968, Democrats asked her to sing the national anthem at the Democratic convention in Chicago. As she prepared to sing, police and anti-Vietnam war protesters clashed in the street. Franklin performed although she famously forgot a few lines.
Then the disco era came, and sales of her albums fell. Like soul singers Ray Charles and Nina Simone, she performed overseas in places like Paris and London.
Franklin returned to the spotlight in 1977 during nationally broadcast “Jimmy Carter’s Inaugural Gala” in Washington. In her first performance for a president, she sang “God Bless America.”
But it was through the election of President Bill Clinton that Aretha Franklin’s career experienced a resurgence. Both Clinton and first lady Hillary Clinton told Aretha they grew up on “Respect” and loved soul. “To have a fellow baby boomer — a bubba and a saxophonist to boot — in the White House, well, let the party began,” Franklin said.
In a violet-tulle-and-silver Bob Mackie evening gown, Franklin performed at two inaugural balls and on the inaugural telecast. It was during the Clinton celebration that Franklin said tempers flared over an “innocuous statement” she made about another diva’s escort and the pair of singers got in a heated argument under “one of the great works of art in one of the historic rooms” of the White House, Franklin wrote.
“As we sashayed away from each other, our parting gesture was the finger,” she said.
While Clinton was in the White House, Franklin sang in the Rose Garden during a visit by the emperor and empress of Japan.
In 1994, Franklin returned to Washington, becoming the youngest artist to receive a Kennedy Center honor. Fellow honorees included actor Kirk Douglas and folk singer Pete Seeger. Fellow diva Patti LaBelle performed in Franklin’s honor.
President George W. Bush, a Republican, awarded Franklin in 2005 the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian award.
Four years later, the Queen of Soul was back in Washington, performing for Obama, the nation’s first black president. Her grey outfit and supporting grey hat dotted with Swarovski crystals, designed by Luke Song, became an Internet sensation and an early meme.
Franklin would perform in front of the Obamas again in 2015 during a Kennedy Center Honors in Washington to honor songwriter Carole King. King has penned the song “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman” that was a huge 1967 hit for Franklin.
Then 73, and much slowed, a fur draped Franklin sat at the piano. The Obamas sang along until Franklin got up from the piano midway through her performance, dropped the fur and belted out notes during the height of the song. Honorees George Lucas, Cicely Tyson, Seiji Ozawa, and Rita Moreno joined the crowd in rising up. President Obama began to cry.

These Katie Hopkins Memes Are Taking Me All the Way Out
Hundreds of thousands of individuals watched Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal marriage ceremony on TV and on-line. After the fairytale marriage ceremony got here the Royal Wedding ceremony gown debate, with followers and popular culture/political analysts discussing who had the greatest marriage ceremony gown between the Duchess of Sussex (Meghan) and her new sister-in-law, the Duchess of Cambridge (Kate Middleton). “Political dummy” Katie Hopkins weighed in on the debate, saying that it was “no competitors,” as a result of, in her opinion, Kate had a sure stage of “class” that Meghan doesn’t possess, which wasn’t a stunning remark coming from somebody like Katie Hopkins, who has no drawback letting folks know her distaste for folks of colour. A little bit of a backstory earlier than we transfer ahead with the hilarious memes: Katie Hopkins is a far-right commentator from the United Kingdom who has mentioned a lot of vile issues in opposition to brown folks, together with calling somebody a “jiggaboo” on Twitter and implying that immigrants needs to be shot in the event that they attempt to enter the U.Ok. So when Katie—an outdated, dried up crustacean—got here for the insanely lovely Princess Meghan, Twitter used a bunch of hilarious memes placing the 43-year-old beside people who’re OLDER and prettier than her to let her know she appears horrible for her age, or, as somebody put it, she’s “43 occurring 93.” The actual gag is, Katie Hopkins is simply 43 years outdated on going 93 ?????? — 23 Jordan ??
