Need a cough drop, pen, paper, paracetamol, and a whole house? he has it in his bag. Everyone at the start of the school year prays that they’ll be seated next to Shu. Did I mention he smells great?

-Lunches with him. He usually packs his lunch and eats with you. On most days you guys sit somewhere a bit more breezy and quite since you guys like to have silent time and a break from your rowdy classmates. 

“Y/N, why don’t we eat near that tree today! Its not too hot outside today so I think it’ll be pleasant.”

“Y/N! I bought you a _____ shake on the way here. It’s a bit melted because of the heat, hope you don’t mind.” You shake your head, smile, and take the shake he was offering you. You hugged him as a sign of gratitude and just because you missed him, even if he drove you crazy.

Shu froze for a bit. It was quite strange, the feeling that Shu felt. It was like any normal hug though, you guys hugged plenty of times! Why now does he feel like he doesn’t want to let you go.

The hug that felt like minutes came to an end as you pulled away from him and dragged him into the arcade. With a bag of tokens in each of your hands you guys spend hours and hours inside the arcade. Hours spent having so much fun with the person you love, hours creating memories to cherish forever.

You wanted to switch thing up. Although anywhere with him feels like the best place on earth, you wanted to create a new core memory with him. 

“Shu, wanna go watch the sunset?”

Boing boing boing. A basketball falls to the floor, a ball that Shu was supposed to shoot but due to shock he just froze. Realizing what the did, he picks up the ball and returns in to the machine, dusting off his hands afterwards.

“Sure!” He smiles. That sounds sweet, said his inner thoughts. Shu returned the favor, this time he was the one who took you by the hand and dragged you outside to watch the sunset. 

The mall you guys frequent is actually close to the sea. The back of the mall overlooks the vast ocean and the sun happened to be setting in that direction. Hurried steps came from the both of you as you rush outside to make sure that you would see the sunset. It confused you though. The fact that Shu, instead of letting your hand go once you got out of the arcade had intertwined them instead. You weren’t complaining. Not at all. But this gave you the idea that maybe the feelings you thought were once one sided weren’t as one sided as you thought. 

“Ey, we’re here!” Shu says as you guys get close to a railing which gave you the perfect view of the sunset.

“Yeah,” you slowly say as you catch your breath. “We made it just in time.”

The sun slowly began to leave your sight, it looked like it was lowering itself into the ocean, leaving shades of red and orange behind. 

How pretty. Both of you thought. Your eyes remain on the setting sun and Shu’s sight remains on you.

He readjusts his grip on your hand, reminding you that he was still holding it. 

You took your eyes off of the sunset and looked him in the eyes. He looked so happy. So at peace with himself.

“Shu, your hand.” he maintains eye contact with you and just says “hmm?” 

“Your hand.” You say again, this time lifting your intertwined hands. 

He just smiles and holds your hand tighter. Suddenly it felt warmer. And suddenly you found yourself in Shu’s embrace.

it was now the next day, and also the first day of a new week, monday. since you live in the dorms, the university wasn't that far from you. it was walking distance.

last night, you thought about why shu asked you to go to the rooftop today, but just ended up sleeping thinking that you're overthinking it.

"hey! good morning!" your roommate, rosemi greeted. "oh, good morning rosemi." you greeted back. "where's elira?" you asked to rosemi. she was usually the one up first. rosemi just shrugged. "maybe she went to university early for some matters. you know she's part of the council." rosemi said. "maybe." you said, before going to the bathroom to get ready.

you showered, brushed your teeth, and had breakfast. you rechecked your bag and then made your way to the living room of the dorm. rosemi was ready, too, so you both went to the university together, but this time without elira.

as you got to the gate, you found shu hanging out with luxiem. you heard that mysta had to go overseas as his mother was a famous detective that had to solve a case in france, he also had to go there, but temporarily of course. luxiem was definitely gonna miss him, but they knew he was definitely gonna come back soon.

since you and rosemi were unfortunately not classmates, you had to separate ways. you made your way to your classroom, 2-A and went inside to go to your seat.

your seat was fortunately by the window, so you got to see the outside of the university. since your classroom was far inside the building, you could see behind the building.

since the university was at a place near the forest, the surroundings were of trees and nature. it was gorgeous, and you would definitely miss this view whenever you got stressed and needed a distraction during class.

you decided to make little doodles on a sheet of paper, look out the window, talking to your classmates, and read about physics again for around 20 minutes until the bell rang.

the first subject was physics, so the exam was brought early in the morning. you absolutely hate physics, but somehow decent at it.

the physics exam wasn't that hard, and you finished it in 30 minutes. you rechecked again for around 3 times to make sure and you had 15 minutes to spare.

you just looked out the window most of the time. when the time was over, you turned in your exam papers and sat down again.

the next classes were quite boring as you pondered about what shu wanted to talk about later.

when lunch arrived, you quickly ate your lunch since it started on 11:45 and made it to the rooftop just in time.

you looked around for a certain brown haired boy and found him looking down at the view of the streets. when he heard footsteps, he looked behind him.

"oh! there you are." shu exclaimed. "hey, shu! what did you wanna talk to me about?" you asked, curiously.

"so... hey, I know we've been best friends for a long time. whenever i was sad, you always tried your best to cheer me up, and it worked. i think you're smart, diligent, clever, hard working, and... pretty. i really never thought of the day i'd say something like this, but I have to get it off my chest. y/n... 𝙞 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪." shu confessed.

your eyes widened, not responding. shu's expression became sadder, and told you "you can reject me now. i know i'm way out of your league." shu said, in a disappointed voice.

"𝙞... 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙩𝙤𝙤. i've liked you for a long time now." you blushed, you could tell you're redder than a tomato.

"i- wait, really?!" shu's eyes widened in surprise. never in a million years shu would have thought you liked him back.

"well, if you wouldn't mind... 𝙬𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙚 𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙚?" shu asked, blushing even harder as if it was possible. "yes!" you accepted, faster than you could think.

shu pulled you in for a hug. as you pulled away, shu's lips closed in on yours.

when you guys left the rooftop, it turned out luxiem and your roommates, elira & rosemi, planned this together. the reason elira went early this morning was not because of the council, but because she decided to discuss early with luxiem before shu came.

Other than the news of what your crush had brought upon you, you still couldn't help but still like him. With your headphones on the table and your textbook at the side, you decided to take a small break from reading the book and look on social media. Reading the texts, you found it also odd that C/n texted Shu instead of you. You follow him on nearly every social platform there is and you guys also did text before because of projects and homework. It was truly weird to you but in reality, this guy was only using you to get closer to R/n. He just didn't want to be in your dm's because he knew that R/n was the jealous type. She would accuse him of cheating even if the texts shared between the two parties were from just two weeks before they started dating. She was that delusional.

Noticing the time, you replied to Shu quickly and shoved your books in your bag. Plugging your headphones in and slid on your shoes. You began your cold morning to school. 'how enjoyable.'

The day was going far too normal for your liking well that was until you were pulled into the janitor's closet. 'this is definitely C/n's doings' You thought to yourself but only to be proven wrong when you heard the unique voice of Mysta Rias himself.

"WAIT! Uh I mean I saw two students making out in the classroom beside and I just don't want you to see that cause they were getting into it. All SLOPPY yeah- and it just was a stomach-churning scene hehe" It was like Mysta was lying between his teeth cause he latched onto your wrist once more.

"We've both seen Shoto and Vox get all sloppy at that one party before, I think I can take thi-" He squeezed your wrist tighter.

"Trust me, it is bad, let's just wait another 5 minutes please.."He was really begging you to not go even though he got your number. Sighing in defeat, you just gave in to him.

"Okay Mysta, you win" you smiled at him and the male student in front of you returned the favor, letting go of you once again.

There were still 15 minutes of lunch left so both you and Mysta decided that the coast was clear now. Mysta even double-checked by looking both left and right as he poked his head out of the janitor's closet.

There were many incidents where Mysta had to pull you aside to prevent you from seeing R/n and C/n kissing, hugging, and doing couple things in the open. This was happening for the rest of the week and you questioned it after the second time Mysta did it.

You were going to the canteen/cafeteria but then you were stopped once you saw Mysta across the hall. This just made you turn to face the other side and walk the longer route.

He was speed-walking to you but you honestly didn't want to be pulled aside once more. 'Not this again' You internally groaned to yourself because you knew that you would end up being in a secluded area with Mysta and miss out on half of your lunch again.

"Y/n wait!-" you were tugged into the embrace of the fox-like boy but your eyes met with familiar ones. It was C/n but looking down, you saw R/n holding his hand, fingers interlocked.

"Oh Hi Y/n, uh we have to get going, goodbye" You were devastated, you found your own rival with your crush. Well, now ex-crush. She always takes whoever you liked in the end. 'How tiring' They were heading in the direction you came from, looking at the as they passed by. R/n looked back and waved while smiling at you then she continued to follow C/n.

Pulling into a hug, Mysta stroked your hair while you just stay there in shock. You were still processing what just had happened. Thinking that all those times, Mysta was protecting you from seeing your own crush with your rival. The person who betrayed you.

Once the information processed in, you began to tear up and cry. Your arms tightened around him, pulling you in by the waist as you let all your emotions erupt. It was comforting as it lasted, you wanted to stay in his warm embrace but he pulled you into the classroom where C/n and R/n had come from. It was where your next class was.

Mysta,who was hugging you. It was all friendly as you let go of all your frustrations. His hands were wrapped around you like he was protective of you. Then and there,you realised that Mysta was the one who like you for you.

You were the student who always came in with injuries.Coming in with many bruises and cuts,you still were stoic to an extent.

you weren't getting bullied but you still got all the looks and stares from other students.You never really cared about what they said about you.You never really saw the reason why you should.

Pushing aside all that,you were an A plus student,always making it up to the top.This had the teachers wondering why you were arriving to school with such wounds.They were concerned.Many tried to be your friend but you just didn't bother to be around them.This lead to no one trying at all but you didn't mind at all.

At home,your mother had always hit you and the only thing that she taught you,was to never express how you felt.Although it was unrealistic to be like that all the time,of course you cried.You only cried alone however.Bottling up your emotions,you knew it was the worst feeling ever but that was really the only thing you could manage without your mother finding out.

You just kept your grades up,so you could get out of your house faster because you were breaking slowly.

"May I take y/n l/n out from your class for a while"The guidance counsellor came into your history class.You didn't mind as that it was one of your least favorite classes to be in.

You got up,collecting your copy and your pencil case and putting them in your bag.Your eyes were glued to the ground before saying your farewell and thanks to your teacher.You assumed that the councellor wanted to talk about the bruises and cuts on your body again.How you were wrong.

The guidance counsellor made you follow her to her office.You saw a tall raven haired male who looked around your age throught the window of the door.Eyes meeting,his captivating eyes were a bright violet.You felt and knew nothing about this guy

'what' s the point of this.'you thought to yourself. You sat down beside the raven haired student.Putting your bag leaning beside the chair you were on.

"y/n, this is Shu Yamino, he will be teaching you the basic ways of how to manage human emotions.I know you told me before that your mother has taught you otherwise but this is compulsory."Mrs Huang explained and introduced.

"if you disagree to this, you will be given a solid 0 in my class" mrs Huang was not only the guidance counsellor but also your maths teacher.You were at shock.You only really had one choice and that was to accept.Regardless if you accept or not,you still will get a beating from any grade you get but you never got a failing grade.The consequences made wasn't worth it failing.

"I accept"Your toneless voice was intimidating. Shu didn't expect that.In his eyes,you were quite the looker,however you were definitely missing the expressive within tone and your context. In a way you made Shu curious about you. He would always see you in the hall waiting for class 5 minutes early or eating lunch alone on the bench.

The raven haired student smiled as he looked at you.You didn't notice his generous act and continued to stare down Mrs Huang.

"You and Shu will have the excuse to be with each other during Lunch time and break time and any class as long as it's once a day"You just nodded. Shu was just happy that he has the excuse to skip classes and be with you.

"so when do we start Mrs Huang?"

"You start now,I will leave you be"The truth why Mrs huang chose a student to do this is because an adult wouldn't be able to understand properly from what a teenager is feeling during this generation.Mrs Huang believed that a teenager would help you heal better if it was just one and one from one teenager to another teenager.

She hoped that her decision would work better.Trusting Shu yamino,the most averaged graded student but was highly intelligent within human emotions and understanding another's emotions.He helped his Kohai and upperclassmen when they needed help.They called it the 'Shupport' and his underclassman Sonny Brisko,his classmate Mysta Rias and his upperclassman Millie Parfait had recommended Shu to Mrs Huang.

"You may be excused for the rest of the period,please get to know each other"Mrs Huang smiled at the both of you as you both left to sit at the canteen.Placing your bag down beside you,the violet eyed boy looked at you,kinda sweating.You just stared at him.Even if you didn't feel awkward,Shu certainly was.

"Um so what do you do for fun?"You blankly looked him straight in the eyes while sitting still with perfect posture.Looking away for a bit,you thought about it for a bit. "I study,I guess.."Shu could tell that you were slightly confused.The sun shone on your hair.He could see the true colour of your hair and your features were mesmerizing.The way your eyes shone a bit in the light,there was something to you.Something that Shu wanted to find out,something that he wanted to help you unravel.

"that's perfect,we can study together in the library for out up coming exams in Summer"You nodded your head now looking away from the male sitting across from you.

"You should meet my friends,I think you would get to know them well"The bright boy smiled at you.You didn't want to meet them.Thinking that they would think that you were a freak or something because of the way you act.

"Y'know we can't get along if you don't talk eh"That statement was kind of offensive but you didn't think of it as much.However,Shu started to panic because he came off very rude.

"I-I'm sorry I didn't mean that like that-"

"It's fine,I don't really want to meet your friends just yet"Your stoical voice still sent shivers up his spine but he smiled that you were actually listening to him.

"That's alright,how about we get to know each other more,we don't want to fail this class together do we?"His laugh was enjoyable,his company was comfortable,his joke was kinda funny.

"mhm"With that,the bell rang.
