Writing Practice: I’m using practice as an excuse to write mushy shit because I’m romantically starving and unlikely to get in a relationship any time soon
I’m not giving context because why not confuse y’all
If you had asked me a year ago what I would’ve wanted most from a relationship with [NAME REDACTED], I would’ve told you that I’d want the warm hugs, the sweet kisses, hands held with fingers intertwined and we kissed under the moonlight or something to that effect. I would’ve told you that I wanted all that romantic stuff like it was the only thing that happens in a relationship, as if that was the only thing that mattered.
Ask me now what I my favourite part about being in a relationship and I’d tell you that my favourite part is when I see him wake up with a bed head full of knots and drool crusted around his lips as he yawns and mumbled good morning. I’d tell you my favourite part is watching him walk into a room, stare for a minute before going ‘what was I in here for again?’ before walking back out and coming running back in to grab his coffee before it goes cold or his keys before he leaves the house or his shirt because he almost left the house with his smart clothes on without his button-up shirt. I’d tell you my favourite part is seeing him do the washing up after dinner and hearing him him an unfamiliar tune as he did it. I’d tell you my favourite part of being with him is seeing him do the most mundane things and feeling just as much love and admiration as I do when we snuggle up on the couch or when we actually do have a rather romantic moment.
I guess being in a relationship put it in perspective. A relationship isn’t always gonna be mushy moments, those come between the mundane things but the mundane things are some of the best things too! [NAME REDACTED] sometimes starts talking in Spanish when he’s overwhelmed or tired or when he’s feeling any particularly strong emotion actually. He then apologises if he starts rambling in Spanish before remembering I don’t speak Spanish but I tell him not to apologise, that I like that part about him even if I don’t know what he’s saying while that part of him plays out. He also does things that I don’t tell about to other people. They aren’t personal but I like to keep them to myself because those things are things only a few people see and I like being one of those few people.
There are things that I don’t like though. I don’t like when we argue. It doesn’t happen a lot but sometimes it does and I feel bad when it does. But then, after the whole argument blows over, we talk and whatever we argue about is talked about and we stop arguing. We discuss like normal people and we sort out the issue. Or we realise it was a petty squabble and we laugh the whole thing off because, oh my god, did we literally just have an argument about whether or not the moreos guy was overreacting. I mean he was but that’s for another time.
The point is that my relationship with [NAMES REDACTED] is imperfectly perfect. It’s mundane and domestic in a place where the impossible is what we call a regular Wednesday. We don’t have the most romantic dates, we aren’t constantly caught up in each other’s eyes and we aren’t in a state where we mumble sweet nothing between kisses as we watch the moon rise into the night sky ever night. Our hands aren’t held with fingers intertwined. Instead, we sometimes relax and watch TV until it’s 5am and we hate ourselves, we wake each other up by either hogging the blankets or literally kicking the other off the bed, we praise be to coffee before heading to work. We sometimes hold hands but our fingers are wrapped around the hand itself and that’s enough sometimes. Mostimes actually. Sure, we sometimes share passionfilled kisses, we sometimes snuggle into each other under a pillow fort with hot cocoa and a good film and sometimes we share more...intimate moments. Sometimes we intertwine our fingers. But that’s all they are, they’re the sometimes that are sprinkled around the relationship, a sweet syrup on top of an already great stack of pancakes. Our mostimes are the pancakes themselves, you can’t have the relationship without them.
And that’s exactly how I want it to be

i love blizzcon but i hate blizzcon for 1 really important reason
i remember every damn year that i dont play any of these games for what they are, i play them for what they could be. i play them for the changes i make in my head. i play them bc warcraft could be one of the most interesting lore games in the fucking world if we go back to like... bc or vanilla and i rewrite it all from there.
canon tyrande sucks balls but the one in my head based on wc3 is good shit. theyre fucking around with jaina and sylvanas but in my head i got a good world building going on. i Fixed The Timeline In My Head. and tbh thats the only reason i play anymore. to fix it. to make it better. so i can keep going there instead of worrying abt my life.its like loving to be dissapointed, bc blizzards never gonna do what i want them to do. theyre not even gonna really make anything particularly compelling that i happen not to like. theyre just gonna... keep doin the same shit. in my head its so much better!!

(and wear clothes). maybe aggra coulda been introduced back in bc and get a cool interesting quest line. i mean garrosh showed that even when they introduce cool characters u cant really trust blizzard to handle it with as much nuance as they themselves put between the lines but at least aggra wouldve EXISTED. aggra coulda been soo cool if she was introduced in bc. part of a small group of garadar orcs that went to azeroth with garrosh and make a home again on a not blown up world in wotlk.damn look at all this potential.
