One of my favourite things in Craltine dynamic to think about is how Crowley and Pauline talk with each other.

We know that no living human is capable of winning an argument with Pauline, yeah. And we also know (if I remember correctly it’s said in TYE 1) that in Halt’s opinion it’s really difficult to win in a conversation with Crowley, because he always knows what to say.

So knowing Crowley as a chatterbox and intelligent man, sometimes working in a diplomatic-ish ways too... and knowing Pauline, we're talking here about hours of serious debates over who is making a dinner today, all the deep, meaningfull topics, all the casual ones, all the fun making and all the almost fighting between them, because they both can talk.

And next to them is Halt, who made dinner that day, has no deep meaningfull dilemmas to talk about, and sometimes loves watching them talk, but most often he asks himself in the moments like that why the hell did he find himself not one talkative partner, but two.

And Crowline (?) are still talking, in a elegant, professional way, until Crowley makes one joke too many and Pauline threatenes to kick out his chair from under his ass.

Crowley has just royally pissed Halt off.

So Halt yells at him.

Crowley might just be a little scared now.

Caitlyn is trying (and failing) to hold in laughter.

Halt realizes that Caitlyn is there. He panics for the 4th time in his life.

Halt: DON'T YOU DARE!

Caitlyn later tells Pauline.

Caitlyn: And then I quote he said;

Ok, him being panicked for the 3rd time is perfect.

But...

Why do I feel like he just confessed his love to Crowley.

Like:

"I love you so much, but you make it really hard to not pommel you sometimes when your brain turns to that of a donkey! However, sometimes you REALLY piss me off, LIKE RIGHT NOW!! I'm going to squish you Crowley, but not in the way I want to!!!!!"

Pauline then goes to Halt.

Pauline: Can we keep her?

Halt is now sitting here, worrying about the gang teaming up with Caitlyn and going up against him.

This may be the one battle he (nor his dignity) will not survive.

Because, lets be honest. If he REALLY insulted Crowley, he wouldn't care.

I’m rereading the series but I want to write a quick one shot!

If you have any requests I’d love to hear them!

Some quick info to help you decide

1- will either be set in high school or college, mostly fluff but there will be a bit of angst (it’s because they’re both idiots though) will be in Wills perspective

2- manages to accidentally get turned into a five year old, Halt is “chosen” (he glared at everyone else so no one was going to volunteer) to look after the young version of his charge, will be in Halts perspective

3- Halt adopts Will instead of giving him up, lots of mischief, Will WILL befriend every ranger horse he meets, lots of fluff!! Various perspectives

4- sick of Horace’s shit bullying Will runs away, managed to find Halts cottage instead of the neighbouring village, BABY GILAN (or well 15 year old Gilan) will be in Wills perspective

If you could not have told yet, I really like Cralt, Craltine and Haltine.

So, enjoy some

Halt knows how to braid hair because his sister taught him. And Pauline and Crowley both have quite long hair. So whenever they three meet up or need to go somewhere fancy, Halt is the one braiding their hair. He would like actually spend time on braiding various beads and stuff in their hair (that obviously matches their skin tone, eye colour and hair)

Crowley is like a crow. He sees a lot of shiny things and in they early years he collected lots of stones and plants for Halt. This is because they couldn’t really be together because of the war and such.

Pauline knows how to embroider and actually stole both Halt’s and Crowley’s cloak and embroidered her favourite flower in them.

When Halt and Pauline were secretly dating they used to go on dates at Pauline’s apartment together. Halt would just surprise her by having dinner ready, before she got ready to eat with the people from Redmont. People still wonder why she sometimes didn’t show up for dinner.

Whenever Crowley sends Halt a letter, he tries to draw, emphasise on tries, a little drawing of him and Halt together and sometimes Pauline in there as well. Halt and Pauline have on of those drawings hanging on the wall as memory of Crowley since he’s dead.

Modern au Crowley also really likes Lego’s btw. I know this is not a relationship thingy, but try to change my mind. I dare you

Talking about modern au, I headcannnon that Halt, Pauline and Crowley live in a house together and sometimes have a movie night. (Crowley always wants to watch titanic but halt doenst want to because it makes him emotional). Pauline likes to watch the letter to the king, and they have rewatched that 10 times already. Pauline even more times but she doesn’t admit it.
