And what do you think about Kaeya's hangout event when Crepus made Diluc clean too much barrels for him to handle and Diluc's hand even got bruised?
I mean I am against the theory that he was abusive (aside from the whole pushing his dream onto Diluc) but this is wierd af, especially that Adelinde didn't even really react to it negatively and even said he wasn't naturally stern?
I really, really love Crepus, but this has been bothering me ever since I played the hangout
I had to find the screenshots I made of this event back in July to remember what you are talking about.
And I realized I didn't even notice it or thought of it as something bad?
I am no parent so I can't say for sure - but I get why Crepus got mad that Diluc, as a kid, tried to sneak alcohol, especially after being told not to do so, and even roped Kaeya into it. Plus, it was said that Crepus told him this during a banquet and they are still nobles - a possible ruin of the image could've been added to it in the moment.
As for the barrels - we can't know for sure if it was a one time thing or a common punishment. After all, he could've seen what consequences such labor bears and never use it again.

hello! may i request a diluc x butler! male reader? where the only person diluc considers to be his friend is his butler BUT his “friend” makes him feel things that make him question himself on whether he sees him as a friend or something more. u can go crazy with this idea, i just want diluc to finally realize his feelings towards his butler after being in denial for a while :>
pairing: diluc x reader tw: mentions of diluc's past also because erm. well childhood friends you know. so a bit of spoilers there type: angst to fluff, sfw, childhood friends <3 pronouns used: none but he calls you mr. butler once, and . and then his boyfriend (*ノωノ) a/n: your brain.... sublime... actually i dont know how i havent written this yet it's been sitting in my inbox for ages i'm sorry anon (´,,•ω•,,)♡ under the cut for length!

DILUC was who you'd been taught to serve almost since you could remember.
Your parents worked for master Crepus, and therefore, Diluc was introduced to you as your future master, the person you were destined to serve and help as much as you could. You never had any qualms about this. From the time you were introduced as kids, you became best friends, running around the winery together and pulling lighthearted pranks on Kaeya.
You grew up together, happy around your two best friends, until tragedy struck, and Diluc left Mondstadt altogether.
It wasn't so bad, tending to Dawn Winery without him. It was easy, actually. Adelinde was a good boss, strict but kind, and Moco and Hillie were fun enough to be around. Your parents retired during that time, choosing to live in one of the houses surrounding the winery. You completed the work, helping Elzer and the rest of those who were keeping the winery running in Diluc's absence. But you couldn't help but miss him anyway.
And then, in the middle of the night one night, a few years later, suddenly, the master of the house was back.
He was different than the best friend you'd known and loved. Oh, and man, was he hot? Something had happened in the four years he'd been away. Diluc had grown. He was taller, more muscular, the tiniest hint of stubble on his chin.
Yeah, you stared. Your jaw dropped as soon as you realized who had just entered the winery. For a moment, your eyes met those of the man you'd once known better than anyone, and a spark of recognition flashed in them before he turned away quickly, coughing out a small flame.
And then Adelinde was upon him. You didn't see him until the next day.
It was awkward going back to getting to know each other. It was even more awkward when both of you tried to sneak glances at the other without being noticed. Diluc had changed since he'd left, but so had you, and this didn't go unrecognized. Occasionally, when you were trying to subtly check him out, you'd find him doing the same, your eyes would meet, and both of you would flush, cough, or try to hide it with a laugh or something.
The tension was high in Dawn Winery, and the maids were getting sick of it. They noticed every look, every flush. They noticed how you would take a few extra seconds trying to compose yourself before entering Diluc's room to give him his meals. They noticed how he would ask for you specifically to help him with things that could be done by anyone. They noticed that where there used to be just companionship, there was clearly something more beginning to take root.
And they took it upon themselves to do something about it.
It was early morning when Moco and Hillie burst into your room, ranting about some thing or another. You couldn't make heads or tails of what they were saying until one of them burst out "Master Diluc is in trouble and he need your help right away!"
Worried, you change out of your pajamas as quickly as possible and follow them out of the winery and all the way to the city, where they lead you to the Angel's Share, which shouldn't have even been open at this time of day.
"He's in there!" Hillie huffed, panting, "There's someone giving him trouble, I think! I heard yelling!"
"He's pretty bi- uh, strong, so, shouldn't he be able to take care of that himself?" You asked, confused.
"It doesn't matter! Get in there!" And you were extremely unceremoniously pushed into the tavern, the door locking behind you.
Diluc was not getting trouble from anyone. Or rather, there really wasn't anyone in there apart from him. He turned around from where he was polishing glasses, looking at you in confusion.
"They told me someone was harrassing you? And you needed help? And - wait, did they lock me in here?"
You shook the door handle. They had locked you in here.
Diluc chuckled slightly, a sound that had become pretty rare these days. "I think they've just locked us in a tavern together, Mr. Butler."
MR WHAT. You coughed hard, trying to hide your face between your back and the door. He did that on purpose.
"What. what. WHY. LET ME OUT OF HERE," you yelled, banging against the door. you could hear giggling and a high-five on the outside. Frustrated, you let your forehead rest against the wood.
"TALK ABOUT YOUR FEELINGS!! WE'RE NOT LETTING YOU OUT UNTIL YOU TALK ABOUT YOUR FEELINGS!" you heard from outside. You flushed harder. Absolutely unbelievable. This was definitely not in your job description.
You heard Diluc sigh from behind the bar, and turned around to face him. You supposed if this was anything, it was a chance to get this over with. You made your way back over to the bar, pulled up a stool, and sat down.
"I-" you started, at the same time Diluc took a breath to begin talking. You slapped your forehead. "Never mind. You go first."
"I have... feelings for you," Diluc confessed, eyes staring at the bar between you.
"WHAT." you couldn't stop it from coming out. You slapped your hand across your mouth, mumbling a muffled "sorry." Diluc raised an eyebrow at you, no longer looking quite as uncomfortable.
"It's a bit difficult to decipher them, I'll be honest," he continued, reaching out across the bar to take your hand in his. "It's much more complicated than before I left. I'm sorry I left you. I'm back now, and I think, well, I think it's safe to say that... I love you."
You stared at him, mouth slightly open, momentarily winded and unable to speak. He's joking, part of you thought, he's pulling a prank on me, this can't be real. But the way Diluc looked at you nullified any doubts you might have had. There was nothing but adoration in his amber eyes, and his brow betrayed just the littlest bit of worry that perhaps you didn't feel the same.
"For real?" you asked him, barely a whisper.
"For real," he answered, letting the corners of his mouth quirk upwards just the tiniest bit. "I've loved you since I left, I think."
"I love you too," you let out, finally, the weight of your feelings lifting from your shoulders. Diluc leaned against the bar and stretched towards you to place a gentle kiss on your forehead. "Good. I'm glad."
"This would have been really awkward if i didn't, huh?"
"I'm not sure I would ever be able to live it down, if I'm being honest."
Your moment was interrupted by cheers from outside the door. Diluc pulled away from you and quickly strode towards the door, retrieving a key from inside his pocket and unlocked the door. Moco and Hillie fell silent immediately, and you could just barely make out the terror on their faces from behind Diluc's back.
"Wait," you said, brow furrowing, "you could have just let us out the entire time?"
"Well, yes," Diluc admitted, "but you wouldn't have left with me as my boyfriend if I'd just done that."

Haha, you know how I said I wasn't dead when I came back from Christmas? Lmao
Right after New Year, I got a bad cold and was dead to the world yesterday. I sleep on the couch for like 6 hours. BUT. I AM ALIVE! And I have more solid dates for shit. And I will hopefully be settled next week.
In the meantime, I have been writing. So Ummm Yeah, It's probably not what you guys expected, but here is that update.
So the thing that hit me like a truck over the holidays is a "sent back in time"/"reincarnation" thing feat. uh, this might come as a shock, but Crepus! The idea hit me randomly about having him being stuck in the delusion. Witnessing Diluc's 4 feral years and realizing. "Oh, my kid doesn't think I love him." but when Diluc breaks the delusion Crepus gets sent back in time and decides to prevent any bad ends for Diluc! It's absolutely gonna have a cheesy title and be very headcanon-heavy with Varka and Alice as godparents, and Vent's gonna make an appearance. So far, it's been fun. I cranked out like 10k words in 4 days.
The second is a modern Chiluc AU. Look, my beloved hot doctor wife sent me a manhwa, and I speed-ran all like 50 chapters. And a Chiluc AU I already had needed some work, so I took some inspiration and have been working on a rewrite for that.
Then as I've mentioned before, a little add-on to the Ice Prince Diluc AU. With the Harbingers and baby Diluc. Pierro has bought a parenting book. That's all you need to know about that.
I've also been working on a weird AU where it's sort of based around Diluc and Childe's bis artifacts. So a Crimson Witch Diluc and Heart of Depth/Pirate Childe. That's getting a little closer to being finished.
In the finished pile is an Albeluc thing that I feel needs some work and a third installment of my Ayatoluc series. Which is feeling super indulgent as I just keep slapping my favorite troupes on them.

When I was 16, I had my fight with Diluc. It was horrible. I didn't know about Crepus, at least fully, and I was ready to talk with him about my parents and heritage. I think you know how that ended up.
I was kicked out of the estate by one of Crepus' lawyers by fact that I was not adopted, nor was I in the will, officially, in a way that gave me any ownership of the winery or manor. It did give me a hefty sum of mora. About 5 billion. It was enough to give me a big head start, if I had access. But I didn't.
The Knights confiscated it, stating I was not a Mondstatian citizen and deported me to Liyue until I was 20. I wasn't allowed to go back for any reason, and they held my inheritance 'safely' away. Somewhere I can't get to.
In Liyue, I went to college. Or, well, higher education. Liyue has the best education system. Things... Weren't great there. People were racist. Extremely. I was called exotic, sexy, just a pretty thing to pick up. My hair was touched, my skin was examined, I was bullied, picked on and done a lot of horrible things that I don't want to speak about.
In an attempt to try and not have this happen, I bleached my hair to try and dye it. It didn't work, and I ended up with an ugly pink. I was nicknamed strawberry after this. It didn't help, either. It got worse, actually. At some point, I was debating about dropping out. The abuse I faced was not worth it.
I met Childe there. He was around my age, being 18, and was absolutely unhinged. He was sent there to learn by the Tsaritsa, and he latched onto me like a leech. He protected me, in return for help with school work.
After that, it wasn't too bad. But I wasn't doing great mentally. For obvious reasons. And I missed Diluc. So, so badly. He nearly killed me, sure, and made my blind eye worse, but I missed him so much. He was everything I had known. He was my sworn brother, and I needed him. I don't think he knew of my deportation.
I tried to sent him letters. They never got to him, and I'm sure they've been burned already.

Whoop whoop!! Genshin OC time UwU
She has been living in my mind for MONTHS, time to bring her to Teyvat for some action ÒwÓ
Name : Bernadette Schutz (AKA Berna)

Sex : female (she/her)
Sexuality : heterosexual
Zodiac sign : Sagittarius (28 November)
MBTI : ISFJ
Occupation : Heiress of the Schutz family, Member of the Fatui

Childe Tartaglia Ajax (superior, good friend)
Scaramouche Balladeer (acquaintance, superior)
Il Dottore (main boss, confidant, love interest)
La Signora (good friend, superior)
Origin : Fontaine, currently living in Mondstadt
Backstory : Bernadette is the only successor of the Schutz family. She is the child of a well-reputed aristocratic lady and a staunch Fatui diplomatic man. Both the parents were polar opposites to each other in terms of morals and personality, and their marriage was arranged by their guardians for the sole purpose of procreating their next descendant.
Bernadette's childhood was strict and reticent, but she was never forced to learn or do anything which was against her will and interest. Her parents too cooperated with each other and were loving and nurturing their daughter, and Berna was never deprived of any necessary resources. Along with regular etiquette classes and honing her skills and hobbies, Bernadette was raised as a proper and independent woman who would be capable enough to inherit and succeed the bloodline of the Schutz family once she reaches a mature age. However, this isn't her whole story.
It instead starts from Mondstadt, when the owner of the famous Dawn Winery, Master Crepus Ragnvindr, hosted a celebration for his son's coming of age. Darren Schutz was one of the patrons invited to the party, and he decided to bring his daughter with him so she could meet new people and form allies with them as it would help develop her social skills as a young adult.
As they attended the party, Bernadette meets Diluc and they get acquainted to each other, neverless of her shy nature. Talking to him was like a breath of fresh air and she felt comfortable with him in no time. She was really happy that she had made a new friend.
But the happiness didn't last long when the news came of Crepus's death, and Berna was anxious for the whole day worrying about Diluc's well-being. Much to her relief, Diluc was safe, but there wasn't enough to rejoice about as she learnt he gave up his vision and position in The Knights of Favonius because of the affiliation concealing the truth about the incident because they had a 'reputation' to maintain, and also that he was left heavy-hearted due to his father's demise. Berna thought of helping him in any way she could, but Diluc denied her offer and left Mondstadt to uncover the mystery of the magic involved with his father's death.
Meanwhile, Bernadette stayed in the city for a few months more after Diluc left. She met the chief alchemist of the knights, Albedo along with his assistant Sucrose, and the new cavalry captain, Sir Kaeya. She became close to both of them, but she was personally closer to Albedo because she liked his straightforward nature and friendliness to children. Albedo too slowly developed a love interest on her in the meantime. And just like that, Berna met Klee and also discovered how Alice was acquainted to her mother, Alida, as well.
After spending time getting to know the new friends she made at Mondstadt, Bernadette returned to Fontaine with her father. Her worry about Diluc was still there in her heart, even if they had known each other for a couple of hours. She even missed him, and prayed that he finds the truth behind what he was seeking for and also that nothing bad happens to him.
For the rest of the three years that passed, nothing in the House of Schutz changed much. Except for Darren's health, which kept deteriorating from day to day because of pneumonia. And it wasn't long that he succumbed to his end on his deathbed and bid goodbye to his wife and beloved daughter. But before he could die, he told Bernadette his last wish, and it was that she joins the Fatui and serve the Tsaritsa with loyalty and devotion, just like he did.
Alida was strongly opposing of Darren's wish since she believed this would turn Bernadette aggressive and selfish which was against her rules as a Schutz member, but Berna loved her father very much and didn't have the courage to refuse him, especially when this was the last thing he is ever going to ask her to do.
Bernadette promised her mother that she would still ascend the ancestry and will never ever break the ways of the Schutz even if she is going to join the organization. That is, maintain the grace and pride the lady of the family carries and also be the beacon of kindness to everyone as that's what the Schutz were known for. To be as humble and nimble as a water lily, yet stern and apt as a tigress.
And so, without wasting any more time, Bernadette registered herself into the Fatui recruitment program, and much to her 'bad luck', her recruiter was no one other than the cynical mad scientist Fatui harbinger who was rumoured to have conducted experiments on humans and even young children, Il Dottore.
But luckily with the skills, courage and knowledge she had gained throughout her life, she passed the test by defeating and dismantling a specialised ruin hunter created by none other than the doctor himself. It wasn't easy, of course. But Berna was really determined to gain her position as the assistant to the harbinger who was recruiting her, and it was safe to say that Dottore was not disappointed by her performance, and believed that she can be a good use to him.
Berna was very soon accepted as one of the members of the Fatui, and with her new status as Dottore's 'cute little' assistant, she met Childe, who was impressed of her fighting skills he witnessed during the trial. Childe helped her get familiar to how everything worked inside the Fatui and introduced her to his coworkers such as Signora and Scaramouche, and they weren't as bad as she thought they would be to her as a newbie.
To be honest, the whole Fatui had become like her family in just a few months. And that's how she realised why her father loved to work and why he was so dedicated to it. And that's the whole story how such a timid woman like her got winded up into the deceitful business of the Fatui diplomats. Not that she regrets it.......for now.
Powers : Bernadette received her vision during her father's last minutes. As soon as she accepted her father's request with tears of misery dripping from her eyes, there came a prithiva topaz gem embedded with a pattern that resembled the rigid element of Geo, surrounded with a familiar design representing her nation, in her palms. And that was the last thing Darren saw before he smiled and closed his eyes, greeting death at his door.
From her teenhood, she had been trained by her tutors to skillfully maneuver blades in any type of fight, whether in a duel or a mass battle. Hence, she fights with a sword, but her preference is fighting with dual blades as it guaranteed more damage and defense. Her fighting style closely mirrors the dance of a swan, and the fire she bears in her eyes is like the torch of victory.
With her elemental skill, she can cast an elemental shield shaped as ring of spikes around herself or her teammates by a flick around of her sword, also damaging the opponents and shoving them away during the process.
With her elemental burst, she summons her second identical sword and charges her weapons with immense elemental energy and attacks vigorously, also sending shakes to the ground as sturdy structures erupt and bloom to rain down stalactites over the enemies.
Her constellation is Armatis Ursus, which as suggested by the name is shaped as the profile of a bear with a regal crown.
Personality : Bernadette is a soft-natured, curious and shy person. She usually has a bit of difficulty socialising with people but would open up gladly once she feels comfortable around them. She is caring, helpful and extremely polite. She is also a motherly type of a person when it comes to being a friend of hers. She is very optimistic at times and she has her moments when she is really irritated. But trust me, you really wouldn't want to see that.......
Interesting Facts : She loves warm colours in general. And her favourite season is winter.
Her favourite flowers are anemones.
Her speciality dish is Soupe à l’oignon. Her favourite food to eat is Croque monsieur and her favourite drink is apple cider. She likes apples a lot too.
Her hobbies consists of piano playing, singing, ballet, practicing swords, baking and writing poetry.
She is left handed.
She can speak English, French and German.
She has studied mechanical science and law, so she is familiar with the functions of almost any gadget and can repair them with the right tools.
She smells like strawberries and faintly of white chocolate.
Voice Claim : 💛
Appearance : She has short auburn hair which she ties in a high messy updo. Her skin is snow white with her cheeks always in a light blush and there are faint dark freckles over her nose. Her eyes are brown and her lips are reddish pink. She is a rather skinny woman with B-cup breasts. But even with her stature, she is pretty strong and can easily lift up heavy objects and carry them around. Her nails are painted dark red.
This is how she looks.
Tumblr media
And this is her outfit ✨❤️ (her vision would be on her back, where the dark strip of her dress is)
Tumblr media
And that's all about her! Thank you for reading 💕💕

I agree with you on this one, Bakugo's an asshole.
and then there's this part of the fandom saying Endeavor doesn't deserve all the hate because he had a redemption arc or some shit.
Tumblr media
Here is a wild and crazy idea...
How about not. Because fathers like him never realize their mistakes cause they can't. They are too self-involved.
And hey how about we make it OK that Torodoki never forgives his either of his parents. Like I'm not giving his mom a pass either. Not when she scared her own son.
Tbh I know the most about Torodoki because he does fall into the category of character I naturally find myself drawn to. Don't look into that and my Crepus Slander too much. But he wasn't enough to keep me.
Anyway. Endeavor deserves a cactus up his ass and Torodoki's "that's a bad scar" is the best clip I've seen my hero

So I was on twitter a little too long. Cause I was enjoying the Crepus Slander but I also saw the other things.
Tumblr media
Look, I don't think Crepus was openly abusive. But he was not a good father, not to Diluc. He did not reassure Diluc. I do not believe he adequately showed his affection for Diluc, which left Diluc feeling he had to work harder and was unworthy. And Crepus just assumed the Diluc knew he loved him. Crepus was uncommunicative with his son because he thought he didn't need to be, but Crepus was communicative with people like Kaeya and Elzer because he felt he had to be.
And this is all looking aside he wanted to give HIS CHILD a DELUSION. When if he didn't know the side effect, there is no way he couldn't have realized that was a wrong move.
The short is that abuse, like most things, is a scale with lots of grey areas. Just because a character is not clearly emotionally or physically abusing someone doesn't mean they aren't negligent or abusive. And Crepus was VERY NEGLIGENT to Diluc.
And I believe Crepus could have a redemption arch upon realizing how much he hurt Diluc. Now, if he deserves Diluc's forgiveness is another matter.

do you think if he lived crepus would have a good relationship with his grandkids? there might be a possibility that they wouldn't get along (plus I think crepus makes 1 bad move and childe and diluc would be like well into the retirement home you go, old man.) BUT i know from real life that many times people can be better (not necessarily good but better) grandparents than parents. like somehow they don't have that high expectations or they realise some of their mistakes (not all lol) and want to do better.
I definitely don't want you to try to look at crepus in an other way because fuck him, he deserves all the shit we, crepus slanders want to give him.
I'm more curious about your opinion on how this would affect diluc (and kaeya maybe but he's not important here actually) since he had to endure all the bad things when he was little and even if it's a positive thing, it must hurt him to see how crepus can love children in a healthy way (I know u headcanon that kaeya was the golden child so diluc has actually experienced this before but i still think that it's different because kaeya is his brother and we could maybe even say that they were "rivals" in crepus' eyes). so what I'm saying it must hurt him because he thinks about it and just doesn't understand that why couldn't *he* get this unconditional love from his father, what changed, was it his fault?
Tumblr media
So I firmly believe people can be good people, but not good parents. And this extends to being not being good parents but being good grandparents.
Because when you are a parent. You have direct responsibility for everything. And it can be a pretty thankless task at times. But good parents will not care about that. A good parent would get their rewards from having a happy and healthy child.
This is why I think both Elzer and Kaeya speak highly of Crepus as a father figure. Because Crepus had the disconnect of responsibility with them. He wasn't responsible for bringing them into the world, but he could choose to take them in. Wherewith Diluc, he had complete responsibility. Any failure with Diluc was a failure with him, and he simply couldn't handle that, especially not alone. It was much easier for him to just use Diluc to full fill his personal dream than to actually take the burden of parenting.
So Crepus as a grandfather... He'd actually be a pretty good grandfather. Because again, he has that disconnect of responsibility. Though Childe, in particular, would be watching him like a hawk for any toxic behavior. And he would be the one to fight Crepus not only to protect his kids but his husband. Because yes. It really does fucking hurt Diluc so much to see that Crepus can be a good father figure to everyone but him. Diluc probably would have difficulty being around Crepus when with the kids. But he'd stay because he'd need to watch his kids.
I think it would eventually hit a boiling point if Crepus ever caught Diluc alone and tried to recall 'good' memories with Diluc.
"Ah, I remember when the first time we went hunting. You were so quiet and patient."
"That's because I hated it..."
"What?"
"I never wanted to go hunting. I went because it was the only time you'd spent with me. But I hated hunting and seeing blood. Especially early on."
"But we spent plenty of time together."
"No, father. We didn't. You spent time lecturing me on being a knight. Or I would just have to sit quietly in the background while you worked."
"Well, you helped me paint."
"No. That was Kaeya. Kaeya helped you paint. You always told me to go back to my lessons when I said I wanted to paint with you."
"Surely your knight training wasn't all we did. You have to be miss remembering."
"Father. You know my memory is perfectly clear. You simply need to wake up. You were a good man. You've done a lot for the city. But you really don't deserve to be called my father. The only reason I'm tolerating this. Is because my children deserve loving grandparents. And well, I know you have no love for me. You have it for my children. So please stop trying to speak with me, Crepus."
And well, I personally think Crepus wouldn't really be able to change or fix the damage he's done to his relationship with Diluc. I think he would at least be able to start to respect Diluc's boundaries. Even though something about Diluc starting to call Crepus by his name over calling him 'Father' hurts.
But he deserves it.
Kaeya honestly thought would be a great uncle and defiantly would put in a ton of effort into improving his relationship with Diluc for his kids. Even cutting his contact with Crepus in more support of Diluc's feelings.
