Charade: "Nah. I figured it was something like that. I wouldn't have gone over to introduce myself if I thought you were creepy, you silly string bean."

Blackjack: “Aha, I guess not, huh? W-well, it turns out we both had… similar experiences growing up as shiny Pokémon. It was validating to talk to someone who understood that.”

Charade: “I ended up staying in the village for a while so I could hang out with my new friend. We got to introduce Tricky and Ridley to each other, too! And then, well, we never left.”

Hey Crow, I've only just noticed this, but... you aren't carrying around a gimmighoul coin with you! Did you happen to lose yours, or did you never happen to get one?

“Gimmighouls are created from the coins so we all start out with one. Traveling ghouls typically bring theirs with them because they don’t have anywhere safe to hide it unlike me or those who stay in their chests. But carrying it around is just asking for bigger mons to try and snatch it.”

You are correct my small friend! Though the term would be performer-in-training. I haven't performed in front of a live audience just yet. As for my head, a good performer never reveals her secrets

(Crow@Cream) “If this is a dream world why are you grocery shopping?” The gimmighoul flicked their tail at the floating box, “That’s beyond boring! It’s like doing your taxes or brushing your teeth when you could be having fun!” Crow paused for a moment before looking at the box again, “anything good in there?”

Usually, Cream would correct the gimmighoul for their rudeness, but she was in a particularly good mood today so she decided to let it slide, "I own a cafe a little ways out of town, I unfortunately can't serve anything if I don't have any ingredients..." explained Cream. Both the bags and the box slowly start lowering, her ribbons stop glowing once they landed on the ground... Cream opens the crate, inside was filled with bottles of various colored liquids, most of them were a navy blue, though there were some of many different colors as well... "Just some potions, I use them to trade for things I need to get. Potion crafting is a dying practice with very few left who know how to make them. I was taught by an old friend of mine about nine hundred years ago, though they aren't around anymore..." Cream paused, "Sorry, that took a bit of a dark turn... Anyway, while it is a dying a practice, they are still very much desired making them very valuable! Though most of these are for my brother, I already traded away most of the others," said Cream, closing the box before her ribbons started glowing again, her things once again floating beside her.

(Crow@Maria) “Traveling at night with a kid sounds a bit risky don’t it?” The gimmighoul grins, “you never know what lurks in the shadows or what might come out. Especially with that shiny piece the kids wearing. You must be confident in yourself huh?”

Maria: "I know these areas very well. Many years ago I worked with a scouting team for the Family to map parts of the region. Not to mention that any shadow that would be foolish enough to try sneaking up on us, well..."

Maria looks back behind them both and peers into the darkness with an intense stare.

"Let us just say that they would find themselves up a creek without a paddle in sight."

(Crow@Cathrine) “So people treat you like a criminal cause of some other jerks huh? I know a thing or two about that,” Crow said with confidence. Muttering used his breath, “cause I was one.” He shook his head before giving a fanged smile, “you can’t let those jerks get to you. You gotta act with confidence even when you don’t have it. Show them all how much cooler you are than those losers! As they say fake it till ya make it!”

[The Dragonite was surprised from what the Gimmighoul had said.]

[Catherine, nervous] "Wow. I... Thank you. That... means a lot, coming from someone like you."

[She gave him a little smile for a second before she slightly turns her head away and looks down.]

[Catherine, nervous] "It's been... tough, to say the least."

[She closes her eyes takes a deep breath. Then, she raises her right hand slightly up before planting it on her left hand, her head facing forward again, and her eyes opening and following her hand in the process.]

[Catherine] "But... you're right. I shouldn't be letting that get to me."

[Her smile grows a little bigger as she lowers her hands and looks back at Crow.]

[Catherine] "Thank you. I'll do my best!"

[Even with the smile and determined body language, Catherine still has a tiny hint of worriedness to her expressions, though, she's now feeling much better than how she was earlier.

Catherine is now feeling confident.]

(Crow@Tim) “An adult eevee huh? From the ones I’ve seen most of you just can’t wait to evolve, what makes you different? Why choose to stay small like that when you have an easy way of being stronger?”

As Tim enters the classroom, he finds that Gimmighoul is on his shoulder.

“Oh, hello! It is nice to see you here! Want to know why I don’t want to evolve just yet? Yea, because being an Eevee is not an easy job. There’s like a bunch of evolutions of it.”

“I decided to evolve when I retire from this job. I really want to do researches at night, so my optimal choice is evolving into an Umbreon. I kinda wonder how I could look like this, hmm…”

“I have met a certain person at the university in another region. He told me that I need to decide what path I want to walk. So, I have chosen to be an Umbreon myself. But of course, that was not a final decision and I might think hard about this, because I might regret my choice.”

“Lupin,” Pixel turned to address the Riolu, “You be under the training and watch of guild officer Jasper and until you have formed a team you will be joining others on their missions as extra help.”

“Of course, Thank you for this opportunity,” Lupin nodded his head excitingly, “I won’t let you down! I’ll prove to you all what a great hero I’ll be!”

“Yes, yes,” Pixel said in a bored tone, “you can report to them now. Second door on the left.” As Lupin raced away Pixel looked at Crow. “We didn’t have time to create a badge for a Pokémon of your size. Until then you will have to use the normal sized one.”

“Just tell me to my face you didn’t think I was getting in why dontcha,” Crow rolled his eyes as he placed the badge on his tail, “I can carry it fine.”

“As Lupin is working with Jasper you will be training under officer Specter. I’m sure you are already aware that your guild work as of the moment will mainly consist of scout work.” Pixel’s bored look hardened into a glare as he looked down at Crow, “Do not forget that you have given this chance because the princess desired it. Do not ruin it.”

Silence between the two stretched as they glared at each other until Pixel turned away. “You are dismissed. Specter will find you when she is ready as she is currently on a mission. Until then familiarize yourself with the building.”

Hello Specter! What's your impression of Crow so far? Are you looking forward to training them? They seem to have a lot of potential and enthusiasm for the job.

“It will be very interesting to see how this all turns out,” Specter said, addressing Curce again, “it’s certainly amusing to see what a tizzy the guild has been put in after accepting a ghouldling. It’s like someone rubbed Pixel’s fur the wrong way hehe.”

Specter glanced back at Crow, who had chosen to turn his back to the pair and glare at the miniature paperwork. “They have potential to be a great scout. But they must be careful. This is a chance that can easily be ruined.”

"Oh!! Are you guild explorers?! My dad's told me about guilds before, what's it like?"

“They had to rescue me a bunch as a kid so I got to see them in action plenty even if I’m not part of them,” Cherry said with a smile, “It was dangerous work for them but they were always so nice to me and they seemed to enjoy their jobs.” She glanced towards Crow prompting him to speak up.

“I only just got in to the guild so I can’t say too much yet,” They said with a shrug, “and it kinda depends what guild you join. Some are more serious and some take on less dangerous tasks. I’ve joined as a scout for the Obsidian guild, they tend to tackle the higher paying but more dangerous jobs. I’m sure it’ll be tough work but I’m basically being paid to treasure hunt so who am I to complain. I just gotta go ahead of everyone and report back the hazards and where everything is.” Crow paused for a moment to think of what else they could say about their short time with the guild. “Oh yeah,” the say with a finger snap, “if you’re ever exploring be prepared to be surprised. It almost never goes the way you expect it. To join my guild I had to do some stupid trial, get a crown from some low level dungeon. Easy right? Nah it ended with me and my partner having to fight a gang boss. Easy fight but still not what I was expecting going in.”

“It can be annoying getting others to take you seriously though,” Crow grumbled to themself, “but that just makes it easier to surprise them when you’re underestimated.”

While watching Cherry as she talked to another party guest Crow failed to notice the meowstic until she spoke startling him. “Jeez don’t sneak up on mons like that,” he grumbled before processing the question. “She’s my friend, of course I’m gonna hang out with her. It’s not like I know anyone else at this thing. And I doubt my popularity is going to be much better here than back home so sue me for sticking with the only person I know I’ll have any fun being with.”

He turned to look back at his friend as she mingled, feeling his antenna and tail twitch in agitation. He knew that this was a completely different region. And he knew that it was unlikely anyone here recognized who he was or knew what he had done. But he couldn’t stop the suspicion and paranoia in his mind that something would go wrong. Afterall what ever went right for him.

Crow, I must ask, why do you assume that someone who gives you something must want something out of you?

Your emotions are very strong for some reason and it is very easy to pick up because of that, but this does warrant the aforementioned question.

Did something happen or did people try to take advantage of you many times to the point where you get a strong reaction to free stuff?

“Look just-“ They growl, dragging a paw down their face. Taking a deep breath they force themself to calm down. “I don’t have time to be arguing. I need to find that blue idiot.”

Crow jumps back to the ground and begins to walk down the tunnel not bothering to look back at Toshi, “Pokemon don’t just give pokemon like me hand outs, there’s always a catch. Wether they’re just trying to make themselves look better by helping a pity case, or expecting a favor in return, or even just wanting to egg on a show so they can watch me fail. I’m not playing their games if I can help it.”

You two look dressed to impress, reminds me of how everyone dressed up for the Mask Festival. Anyway, any plans for this little event? This is my first one so I honestly don't know what to do.

”I was going to get a drink and play some games with a nice sylveon while she waited for her friend,” Cherry said, “after that I was probably going to look around some more. Maybe hang out on the beach some. Don’t be afraid to explore and talk to people if this is your first event, it’s supposed to be fun.”

“I’m not really a people kinda mon so I’m probably just gonna do whatever Cherry does or hang out at the bar,” Crow shrugs, “Maybe see if anything cool go buried in the sand.”
