This isn't exactly what I had in mind but I really wanted to draw Weylin with all five magic rings. They're artifacts in the game that allow you to use (from left to right on my pic) Fire, Life, Cure, Blizzard and Thunder at all times, without needing a magicite. The pink one? It's just an error; Esuna ring doesn't exist lmao.

Then you have Holy, Gravity and Meteor rings that are new in the remastered version, but I haven't included them here. Although that's pretty cool too. Especially Meteor that you couldn't normally cast (unless you have one of the Selkie's ultimate weapon... <3)

The default ring design is the Fire one. I went slightly "creative" for the others. =P

i have acquired a copy of final fantasy crystal chronicles: ring of fates, a game that i only ever experienced via the multiplayer mode on a friend's borrowed copy and the only vague memories I have of it tell me that it's a very sweet, sincere game about a pair of siblings on a coming-of-age type journey.

so let me tell you the whiplash i got when i booted it up and the combat tutorial could be summarized as a moogle yelling, "you! 6 year old who is waving a machete around with reckless abandon! did you know that you can jump on top of squirrels and stomp on them repeatedly until they die? now pick it up and throw it at a wall! maybe it will drop money, or prizes!"

FINALLY got my hands on the FFCC Remastered Edition! AND it comes with the original soundtrack as well!!! ever since Crystal Chronicles was released back in 2003, I completely fell in love with its gorgeous, unique, and unforgettable soundtrack, and i am so glad to see that the remastered edition comes with some commentary from Kumi Tanioka that also points out how much FFCC means to her and that it's one of her most important titles. i'll never get tired of saying it but the FFCC soundtrack has to be one of the greatest video game soundtracks ever, and it's so cool to know that Kumi Tanioka was also so hyped when she heard that she was going to get a chance to remaster songs from the game.

the booklet also comes with other interesting commentary that i'll have to read more carefully later but auughh i love this series so much and am now eagerly awaiting its next entry 😭❤️

Honestly, I'm not really into Final Fantasy, but I love the Crystal Chronicles series. Also, I might be in the minority, but I loved the remaster even more. I'm also a big fan of Mr. Itahana's cute artwork, as well as Kumi Tanioka's beautiful musical scores.

In his message to fans for the anniversary, producer Akitoshi Kawazu also promised to one day make an entirely new FFCC!
