i actually disagree with how you said “offgun are in their finishing years” just because offgun have expressed time and time again that they enjoy working together and off literally just said recently during offgun family’s anniversary that they are not going anywhere. i get that maybe gmmtv are trying to push their newer ships more and to take away the focus away from offgun but they’ll never be able to “get rid” of them because people will always go back to offgun and they will always want to work together. also offgun are still rlly young? they still have so much ahead of them so why are we trying to put a time limit on them when it’s clear they still wanna do more both individually and as a bl pairing.

yeah okay, you completely misunderstood me haha. I KNOW offgun have said they're not going anywhere, and obviously as a very dedicated babii myself I'm not gonna stop stanning any time soon! but it is obvious that with the current industry standards that want young & new faces all the time, they are not gonna star in many more bl shows together. I mean, we were literally all convinced not me was their last one, so I personally treat cooking crush as a miracle bonus show in my mind. but yes, outside of bl, we will still see offgun together & yes, they will keep acting individually for at least 13 more years (off said he wanna retire at 45 lol.) so yeah, I'm not gleefully awaiting offgun's separation, obviously as they're the only irl pairing I love it would literally take away a lot of the remaining love & joy that I have for the bl fandom, and god knows there's not that much left lmao. but I don't think it's wrong of me to notice the clear signs of offgun being towards their finishing years since they peaked during theory of love, and I don't think cooking crush will be big enough to put them as number ones like in 2019 again, and that's okay. I'm honestly just trying to prepare my heart for things & not live in delusion bc I take disappointment very hard, so it was better for me to imagine not me being the last offgun series & then be super surprised positively at them starring in cooking crush. and just like that, it's better for my mental health to believe they're in their finishing years & be surprised positively when they still do bls in 5 years, than the opposite. but yeah I'm not trying to limit their time, and in fact, even if I wanted to, I would not be able to, as I'm just a fan lol.

This is from a while back buy I'm super curious, why do you hate Fahrenheit 451?

Hahaha. Oh Fahrenheit 451.

So I just read it for the first time this year. All I knew about it beforehand was that it was a highly praised classic, often taught to people in high school, and that it was a dystopian novel that involved bookburning. I thought that because of these things it was going to be like a 1984 book about how censoring literature for containing controversial material, regardless of the context/meaning/purpose of the story, is a dangerous thing to do. Something that is probably good to think about and continue to teach kids!

Instead what I got was some half-baked dystopian world that is very much just Ray Bradbury whining hysterically for several hundred pages about how TV is rotting everybody's brains. ESPECIALLY the brains of women/housewives, it seems. Society is burning books in the novel mostly just because they can't be assed to read anything anymore now that TV is here, so they make it highly punishable by law to read at all? And somehow erase all record of people ever reading for pleasure in less than a couple of generations (there are old people in the world who still like reading, so it must have been fairly recent - but I don't know, the worldbuilding really doesn't make a lot of sense and left much to be desired for me).

The scene that really cemented my hatred for this book is the one in which the protagonist (who very randomly has an epiphany that reading is actually GOOD because of an underage manic pixie dream girl neighbour who flirts with him) barges in on his wife trying to have a nice time watching TV with her housewife friends and rudely shuts the TV off and forces them to have awkward small talk with him instead. At some point one of the housewives mentions having C-sections when she gave birth because she was scared of being in immense pain (which somehow is supposed to help prove to the readers what godless lazy morons people have become since the invention of TV? As if C-sections aren't often medically necessary and also a painful major surgery). The protagonist then yells at his wife and all her friends, calling them monsters, then starts forcefully reading pretentious poetry to them. The whole time my jaw was on the floor and I was not on his side at all, like. OMG! Shut the hell up and let the ladies enjoy watching a show together and to have a C-section when they give birth if they want to, hahaha. It was like the cringiest r/iamverysmart thing I'd ever read...

THEN to top it all off there was an afterword by Ray Bradbury where he essentially blames minorities, POC, and women for being the enemies of "good aesthetics," which is apparently the main "censorship" he's concerned about in books:

I enjoyed the prose in the book and some of the more creepy off-the-wall parts of it, like The Mechanical Hound (a robot dog with 8 legs that runs around and euthanizes whatever its programmed to smell). But overall I thought it read like the temper tantrum of a conservative asshole man-child who doesn't bother recognizing his own privilege and who looks down his nose snobbishly at anyone who doesn't share his hobby of reading or his exact taste in literature. The argument the book was making didn't ring very true to me, and the dystopian future it presented didn't make a lot of sense to me, so the fact that this is STILL considered one of the best books of all time really annoyed me and threw me for a loop. 😅

since i watched a cute little compilation of nct loving on haechan - i thought i'd write about my favourite moments or like cute things to do with their relationship or something. (psa : i just think it's best not to include a particular member so he's not included...!) (this is also by memory otherwise we'll be here all day)

taeil - sun & moon. the friendship test. i love when they're all in their PJs and haechan thinks they don't need blankets when they can cuddle. i think haechan is VERY attached to taeil and tends to look after him often. and i think taeil lets haechan get away with A LOT. taeil makes haechan laugh like hehehehe alot.

johnny - johnny's like his pāpā. papa bear. i don't know seeing johnny take haechan's side and/or always looking out for him, i don't know it makes me feel gooey. for both of them. the fact that they both drank through wine bottles together. johnny is always the one enjoying haechan's jokes. consistently. AH my favourite moment is when they were in that school and couldn't laugh and that was literally ALL they did.

taeyong - (early era : limitless?) taeyong and haechan were roommates and they were like 'how is rooming with taeyong? and haechan answered like a robot 'i.like.it.I.am.happy.everyday....' or when taeyong is touching him and haechan's basically screaming in doyoung's ear. let's not forget the ty track saga - sm rookies interview legendary moment! i also think taeyong tends to watch out for haechan a lot and is always buying him clothes (idk about now but in the past - all the time)

yuta - he teases haechan a lot you know! hahaha it's cute. but like yuta has a really sparkly gaze and smile - we all know this - but like when haechan is really putting it on - like the whole works - boba eyes? check, pouty lips? check, grabby hands? double check. yuta gets this little smile and i think about it a lot. i think my favourite moments is the 'one bite' ice cream situation (haechan getting teased again and his scary eyes came out) and the 'watashiwa donghyuck kun' made me fall into bits. let's be honest, if haechan didn't receive the treatment he receives from ten, yuta and dream, he'd be completely spoilt.

doyoung - haechan's favourite victim. tbh countless moments i could list off here. COUNTLESS. the never winning an argument. the 'i'm on haechan's team.' 'you shouldn't have haechan as enemy.' one of my favourite pairs. but i think he's someone very precious to haechan otherwise he wouldn't be teasing him constantly. boy teasing doyoung so much, i'm glad he hasn't cried at any point. i won't name any moments because then we'd be here all day, but you get the point.

jaehyun - WHEN HAECHAN MAKES THIS MAN LAUGH. MY FAVOURITE THING IN THE WORLD. when jaehyun called haechan for food and haechan sipped at a 'straw' that wasn't at all a straw. i think they can have a lot of fun together. jaehyun's like taeil - has some severe patience. i also think jaehyun's the type to let haechan be haechan and just roll with it. haechan's go-to is also sitting in jaehyun's lap -e.g (isac when haechan is wearing a suit) and (NCT World).

jungwoo - the LAUGHS THAT JUNGWOO MAKES HAECHAN DO. some of my favourite laughs of his. two equally-as-weird-equally-as-handsome friends. AH my favourite moment ever is when they're playing the 'i love you' game and haechan looks at jungwoo once and already is battling the whole sea, earth, and the space continuum to hold that laugh in. i also think that these two tend to have the more serious talks with each other? it's just a feeling.

mark - ....OOP here it is. Haechan's soulmate. The person that taught Mark to be angry. The person that fuels Haechan's teasing the most. Such a legendary pair. And like Doyoung - there's heaps of moments. There's the legendary handshake too. But I feel like it's important to mention the time they've spent together - from pre-debut when they were barely prepubescent and now adulting together. it's been at least a decade by now... they're in 2 fixed groups together...everywhere. anytime. it's spent primarily with each other. so when haechan or mark isn't there, the other is a little out of sorts (not too much but there's some frazzle). and they're both so serious when it comes to their performance. i think that they keep the other in check.

so i almost just wrote the whole group in one but i've edited it and now it'll be by group because i'm struggle to construct full sentences and i've been at this for hours.

5. Do they argue often? If so, what do they argue about?

Not really. Or so I think, anyway. 🤔 They could be more prone to arguments if Sal wasn't so non-confrontational. She also values information over ego, so it's less of an argument and more of a deliberation if she ever gets involved in something. The less proper communication-friendly it is, the more likely it is to be dropped. It's not worth wasting her breath over!

Kuja is similar in the sense that some arguments just aren't worth his time as well, though. He's "too good" for that. Something really has to feel like it's on the line for it to be worth arguing over, otherwise, he'll just let whatever "idiot" is trying to argue with him "die mad." It's not quite like Sal's approach of leaving them be with whatever beliefs they may have; he likes to make a much firmer point of insulting them because he really is all the ego Sal lacks. Sal = information. Kuja = ego. Haha!

There are less serious matters where they both can be open to a more facetious argument, though. They're both just playful enough to get a kick out of being contrary with one another over some of the little things out there! It's with silly little things, such as fashion sense, puzzles, food, etc.

14. Do they enjoy PDA, or are they more private with affection?

More private, 110%. They had private beginnings that were kept as much of a secret as possible from the others for various reasons, plus, Sal is definitely not a PDA type. Even when things are more comfortable/less secretive between everyone, she's very... uncertain of it.

I've described Sal as being very control-oriented out of fear for a great majority of things. "Fire, which fears its own heat. Despite how beautifully it burns" as Kuja himself more eloquently worded it! And that very much applies here too. There's something she's scared of and that uncertainty puts a damper on something like PDA.

As for Kuja, he has some sense of decorum; meaning he doesn't mind maintaining some privacy, though, there are times later on where he would like showing off a little more. He is very vain, after all; to have a lady like Sal to feed into that vanity (and be a little possessive with, I won't lie) appeals to him too.

That being said, however, I will say that it's actually a sign of growth to see Sal become more confident and open to it over time. 🤍

18. How do they care for each other when one of them is wounded/sick?

They both do the best they can, despite having their individual shortcomings. 💕

For Sal, the more proper medical know-how that she's picked up from years of what is most easily summarized as "lab work" comes into play here. She'll care for Kuja much like a nurse or a doctor. While it has its softness, it also has this respectful distance to it. She isn't the type to cuddle and dote on someone in this situation. I'll bring it up over and over: she's warm, but distant. Just like a star. And that aforementioned "fear" has a lot to do with that too.

As for Kuja, he has some knowledge of his own (it's basically "magic vs. science," if you will. Technically just two different types of medical science, really!) but he's definitely more of the doter/lover when it comes to a problem. If he's emotionally invested, that is! I'd actually say he's had a lot of moments where he's just clueless as to what to do in these situations.

Though both of them are more prone to keeping problems such as these hidden from one another, Kuja opens up to Sal way more easily than she does to him later down the road. Sal is the epitome of being closed off and prone to hiding any form of suffering she has from anyone. It's very rare that she allows that sort of weakness to be seen, if she can help it.

Once again, I'll bring up character development, though: those walls of theirs do gradually start to fall with time. There is a period where both of them aren't entirely sure of themselves and their actions at times like these, but they eventually start meeting face to face in all those layers of vulnerability. It's very endearing. 💙

33. How do they flirt? Who’s the worse flirt?

You have more of your classically romantic flirt with Kuja while Sal is simply sincere, but unintentionally mystique all in the same.

It's needless to be said, but as a professional flirt by default, Kuja is definitely the better flirt. It's a regular part of his character even outside of whatever is going on between him and Sal, haha! He flirts with intention and it's very clear that he's doing it (and he's very successful with it, more often than not.) To make it more sensual is effortless for him just as well.

By comparison, Sal is the worse flirt, hands down. Again, she's merely genuine with an air of mystery; when she decides to throw in a playful remark or gesture on occasion, some may interpret it as flirtatious, however, despite it not being her intention. She'll often take on a more analytical demeanor to help subdue amorous undertones in most social situations, but... man, when she chooses to drop those walls of hers and that sincerity intertwines with the more intimate, it's really something to behold in its own right (at least, in my own incredibly biased opinion! Haha!) She'll never leave you feeling like her love is fake. Let's just put it that way. 🌌

What was the last upsetting thing that happened to you? I got sick, again...that's two very high fevers in the short and sweet span of 1.5 months and I can almost certainly tell you it's because of work. Bright side is it's putting everything in a much clearer perspective and it'll probably be the first thing I'll raise to Trina the next time she has a check-in with me.

What was the last thing you ordered from Starbucks? I think it was their iced brown sugar blahblah espresso (why does it have to be such a mouthful?) and my favorite off their menu, the chicken barbecue sandwich.

Do you trust your doctor? I just have natural trust for all doctors in general because they're supposed to be experts at their field. It's just a matter of whether they're an asshole/condescending or not.

Do you ever question if your mother loves you? Sometimes. Last week she and dad got into an argument but made sure the rest of the household was put through hell in the most childish way you can imagine a 50 year old throwing a fit. I will never understand that about her.

Do you ever feel scared or unsafe around your dad? Not at all.

Do you have a pastor you can trust and talk to whenever you need to? Nope.

Do you have a best friend who always has your back? Yes. Just last Wednesday I had a bit of a scare because my car wouldn't start while I was stranded in the middle of BGC, and the first two people I called were Angela and Hans because I knew they'd have my back in an instant and would know how to help me. :(

What is missing in your life? Career fulfillment. I'm making good money but ugh am I miserable and getting more and more physically unwell. Two fevers in less than two months is ridiculous and I know damn well this has little to do with the flu bug that's been going around.

Self-absorbed assholes and a kid in a suit is definitely a take that I can't say I fully disagree with!

Early days BAU... I'll be honest and say I have completely forgotten everything about Max Ryan or haven't gotten to the part(s) where he gets mentioned. I think my brain just does not retain anything about him because his name reads like two first names hahaha so I may be massively contradicting canon in which case disregard this but I think Ryan was just... sort of a dick? Not massively but just not someone you'd want to spend time outside of work with and given how much time the BAU spends together, I can imagine things might get a little strained from time to time. And again with what is 100% speculation but I imagine him as the second youngest and wanting to prove himself. Maybe perceiving a rivalry between him and Hotch when there isn't really one, never says anything about it but there's always that little coldness from Ryan's end.

Because I think the difference between Hotch and Ryan would be that Hotch is ambitious. No doubt about that. You don't get that high up in his career without being very very motivated. And yeah, that means taking advantage of opportunities when they arise but he's not going out of his way to step on other people's toes to do that - he'll defend himself when he has to but there's no point burning bridges unnecessarily. Whereas I see Ryan as being more malicious in it and when they're both in (relatively) the same position at the start he wants to get ahead of Hotch.

For his part I'm sure Hotch would've known that but they worked well enough, and it was never enough of an issue they ever felt unsafe in the field working with each other. Just this thin dislike from both ends. Hotch being well spoken and very very good at not showing emotion would only make it more frustrating because getting a rise out of him was damn near impossible - and possibly perceived as him being deliberately cold when he isn't, he's just... Hotch.

I feel like Gideon was very much in charge. He definitely took on the role as the leader but the more friendly aspects in that role mostly fell to Rossi despite him being closer in age to the other two.

I think there'd be a divide between the slightly more experienced two and then Hotch and Ryan. And Hotch and Ryan would naturally want their approval - for Hotch, I think Gideon's in particular would take on a subconscious and probably very small paternalistic edge to it because. Older male authority figure telling him he's doing a good job? Yeah, he did not have that for most of his life. I think they'd mesh quite well in general, Gideon's eccentricness (because he ran out of fucks to give as he got older but he was never,, the biggest fan of tradition, let's say that much) balancing out Hotch's formality.

(Side note here but people who would work with the unit tended to feel sorry for Hotch having to mediate between Gideon - being Gideon - and Rossi - who just can get loud - when they get into arguments about the ridiculous and/or dangerous plans to lure out unsubs.

However, the real danger was leaving Gideon and Hotch alone for too long because their plan would also be dangerous, but it would sound fine on the surface level so it wasn't until, say, Hotch disappeared into a building with two unsubs and no bulletproof vest and Gideon did not seem as surprised by this as he should've been, that Rossi and Ryan realised they'd made a mistake by agreeing.

And Gideon wouldn't have discouraged the recklessness, I don't think. At the very least he wouldn't have encouraged Hotch to stop. Because his recklessness is a very particular kind where he'll risk his own self/his health but generally not much else if things were to go wrong? So aside from Hotch himself, the consequences to their work were a net positive. It got them praise even from their handling of "difficult" cases.

So that was a thing. And that continued to be a thing, Hotch being too willing to endanger himself despite being protective over his own team.)

I feel like it got less formal over time because at first, it's a new unit and they aren't completely sure they are actually going to be a permanent thing but then they settled into it slightly, got funding (and look, I know logically the cases across the country came after the jet but it's still funny to imagine the lot of them in a single SUV for hours - road trip from hell) and the behavioural analysis unit became a proper established unit instead of this little fledgling thing crammed into a spare room somewhere.

But at first they were a little awkward because... they're all themselves really and they have very distinct personalities. I think the early BAU days are definitely where Hotch and the others became the kind of friends you'd miss if they left the job, not just work colleagues.

Also I think there was also a Kate(?) someone (not Joyner) as a former member but uhhhh let's pretend there isn't.

I love Kimi no Na Wa and adore the artistry of the entire movie. Makoto Shinkai's gorgeous realistic backgrounds honestly contributed a lot to me loving Tokyo, and I felt that this was something that would be constant amidst my changing interests and fandoms. Plus this animated time lapse of Tokyo is just so cool that I made a gif of it and made it my header.

Oh this. Haha it's a post about me getting worked up at how people were unfairly criticizing Malala's fashion choices lol. (Btw, Malala just got married recently so big congrats to the new couple!)

1. Why did you choose your url?

- It was the first thing that came to my mind and I thought it'd be cool. Also, I like the number 17 and I put it in every username.

2. Any side blogs?

- No, I only have this one.

3. How long have you been on Tumblr?

- About 2 to 3 months, I don't remember exactly.

4. Do you have a queue tag?

- No.

5. Why did you start your blog in the first place?

- I had discovered that I was ace and I was questioning if I could also be aro and enby, but I didn't know any aro, ace nor trans people irl. So I thought I could meet other LGBTQ+ people and express myself freely on this platform. Now I love it!

6. Why did you choose your icon/pfp?

- I love everything that is related to space: constellations, nebulae and other deep space objects, spaceships and astronauts. So, when I found this pic online, I thought it'd be perfect! Moreover, it's completely gender neutral.

7. Why did you choose your header?

- Again, it's because of my passion for space. It is the picture that was released for the 31st birthday of the Hubble telescope, and it depicts AG Carinae.

- Since I've never made a post myself, I don't know if I can mention any of them.

- I think two or three. We've never really chatted, but I'm happy when I see that they reblog my posts or leave notes or tag me (and of course I enjoy doing the same with them)

- No, but I've often thought about doing one (lol).

- One or two hours a day... But I check it very often.

- No, and I hope it never happens. I don't like having fights neither online nor irl. There's way too much hate in the world...

- I rarely reblog them even if I share what they say (it's because I'm pretty lazy, hahaha).
