A couple people have asked how my resin casting projects (Digimon specifically) have been going, so, update time. I finally made a shell front mold that im genuinely happy with, it gives me reliably satisfactory results such as these red ones. However, these molds dont last forever, and are expensive to make, so i want to find a way to make a mold of my mold, to re-mold my mold when necessary, and id like to do that before running this one into the ground. I also dont know a solid way to accomplish this. THEN. I get to work on making a mold for the shell back. An entire other half. Work is slow. I also have had satisfactory frame cages, battery doors, and contact guards for a good while. I might consoder opening an etsy soon , but for the time being it would just be those replacement bits. In the near future I intend to make more of those, and also DMmini DMOG and Pendulum20/Z battery doors And before anyone gets curious about that last bit. I currently have no plans on attempting pendulum shells, see how long DM20s is taking me? Preparing to attempt a more daring casting project. Digital Monster Version 20th shells. The inside of these is a bunch of very thin walls, so im a little worried about being able to get plastic into all the nooks and crannies.
